Russia's state-owned company Rostec has increased its tank production sevenfold within a year.
Sergei Chemezov, the head of Rostec, announced a remarkable increase in production figures, revealing that tank production has increased sevenfold in a year.
At the same time, the manufacture of light armored vehicles has increased 4.5 times.
In addition, some types of ammo have seen a staggering 60x boost, as revealed during his interview with Russia-24.
"We increased production several times.
In just one year, the production of tanks increased seven times, light armored vehicles — BMP, BMD and other vehicles — 4.5 times, artillery and MLRS — 2.5 times, and ammunition and some types of products, 60 times,” he noted .
Chemezov also highlighted the ongoing modernization efforts at Rostec, stressing that the company's equipment is constantly evolving and improving.
In an earlier statement, Alexander Potapov, who serves as CEO of Uralvagonzavod Concern (UVZ), a subsidiary of Rostec, also revealed that they are currently investigating the feasibility of building new T-80BVM tanks.
According to Potapov, this project is a top priority for the company, as it has been explicitly requested by the military authorities.
The significant increase of Moscow's tank production by 7 times in one year is, among other things, a replenishment of the old tank technology, which was lost on the fronts of the war in Ukraine.
