Israel threatens to restart Gaza ground war in hours after Hamas DELAYS hostage release over ‘truce deal violations’

ISRAEL is threatening to "restart ground operations" in the Gaza Strip if Hamas does not release 13 civilian hostages by midnight, according to reports.

The terror group announced earlier it would delay the release of the hostages over alleged violations of the truce deal by Israel.

Today is the second day of the temporary ceasefire between Hamas and Israel - where the parties had agreed to exchange 13 Israeli civilian hostages for 39 Palestinians kept in Israeli prisons.

Israeli media outlets claimed on Saturday night that an unnamed Israeli official revealed the temporary ceasefire currently in place will end if Hamas does not release the second group of hostages as previously agreed.

It comes after a senior Hamas official told the BBC the terror group delayed the release of hostages because Israel only allowed three out of 100 trucks to reach northern Gaza as part of the truce deal.

He also claimed that Israel flew drones over southern Gaza, and that it killed two Palestinians in an area of Gaza where civilians are free to move.
