Dramatic developments are being recorded in Avdifka as there has been a large Russian advance from the north and south which is tightening the cordon around 11,000 Ukrainian soldiers.

The Russians occupied an important multi-level network of fortifications and trenches which brings them even closer to the outskirts of the city.

Russian troops have entered the settlement of Sievorno from the northwest while continuing their offensive towards two more settlements, Stepovoye and Tonenkoye.

If they get all three it's Game Over for the Ukrainians. The tunnel was closed and 11,000 Ukrainians will have been trapped. The maps listed by WarNews247 at the end of the text are relentless.

The command of the Ukrainian forces, seeing the defense collapsing, urgently asked for reinforcements from V. Zaluzny.

The situation of the Ukrainian formations is getting worse and worse and there is practically no chance for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to improve the situation. The logistical support capabilities of the Ukrainian forces are also reduced as practically only the road axis of Orlovka remains open apart from the fields.

The Russian armed forces after heavy fighting with the Ukrainians have approached and finally entered the Severnoye settlement while at the same time fighting for control of the Stepovoe-Khimik railway line near Avdifka.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine, realizing that under the current conditions it is possible to find themselves trapped, are trying to transfer reserve formations from the western direction.

Today, Russian assault units carried out a successful attack from the south-west direction, as a result of which they approached the settlement of Severnoye. This settlement is adjacent to the village of Tonenkoye in the northwest.

A stone's throw from Sievorno is the highway connecting the Ukrainian garrison of Avdifka with Orlovka, through which the Ukrainian Armed Forces are supplied.

At the same time, Russian troops are trying to expand the zone of control to the northwest of Avdifka, along the railway line Stepovoye (437th km) – Khimik.

In some areas, Russian Sabotage and Reconnaissance units are already operating in the west of this area, preventing Ukrainian troops from approaching the Avdifka industrial sector and coke plant dumps.

Having taken control of Ukrainian positions on the approaches to Stepovo, the Russian Armed Forces continue to put pressure on the Ukrainian Army, trying to push it back from the Avdifka-Ocheretino railway line.
