IDF hits Syrian military sites after rockets fired toward Golan Heights

The Israel Defense Forces says it struck several Syrian military targets, after rockets were fired from Syria toward Israeli communities in the Golan Heights.

The IDF says fighter jets hit “military infrastructure” and mortar launching sites.

IDF says airstrike in Jenin targeted gunmen who shot at troops

The Israel Defense Forces says Palestinian gunmen opened fire on troops who arrested a pair of terror suspects in the northern West Bank.

According to a military statement, the soldiers “identified hits” among the gunmen.

In a separate incident in the Jenin refugee camp, the IDF said gunmen hurled explosives and shot at troops before a military aircraft carried out a strike “to remove the danger.”

“Hits were identified,” the statement says, adding no soldiers were injured.

Rocket alert sounds in kibbutz near Gaza

A rocket warning alert sounds in Kissufim, a kibbutz east of the Gaza Strip.

Sirens were also heard overnight in two other kibbutzim in the area.
