A Russian Su-34 fighter jet launched a FAB 1,500 bomb for the second time, destroying the Headquarters of the Operational-Tactical Group "Soledar" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the village of Aleksandro-Kalinovo in the Donetsk region.
Zelensky visited this headquarters earlier in the year. Video from the arrival point shows the crater that formed after the explosion.
As we have reported, the Russian Air Force installed universal planning and correction (UMPC) units on FAB-1500 bombs (1500 kg bomb).
The throwing range of the bomb was increased several times (compared to similar ammunition of lower power) due to the new design of the airframe.
With a stated accuracy of 5 m, the crater from a bomb explosion can reach about 15 m in diameter. The affected area is more than 2 square km!
The Su-34 can carry two such bombs, and in the future it will be able to carry three hitting one or different targets in one route.
The Headquarters of the "Soledar" tactical group coordinated the Ukrainian operations in the direction of Bahmut.
Almost all of the headquarters staff were killed. Information speaks of 50 dead while around 30 people are buried under the ruins.
Those who survived were sent to the city of Rzeszow in Poland for treatment and from there for onward transfer to foreign medical facilities.
According to Turkish sources, there are also casualties among NATO special forces personnel who provide command and technical support.
This is the largest loss of Staff Officers Ukraine has ever experienced on the front lines.
Russian sources report that “ on the first day of the month, the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out a brilliant operation, destroying in one blow about 50 officers of the highest and middle command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and NATO advisers.
On October 1, using the FAB-1500UMPK bomb, they managed to accurately hit the command post of the Soledar operational-tactical group operating in the direction of Bakhmut.
The shelter with the command staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was located in the village of Aleksandro-Kalinovo, southwest of Artemovsk (Bakhmut).
Now the Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this direction has been "beheaded".
