For the first time in modern history, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia are simultaneously moving military forces to the borders with Belarus and Russia.

All three countries are preparing for a total land blockade of Belarus and by extension the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad.

If indeed this is the plan, then some are trying to inflame a situation and unleash a conflict by dragging the entire West into it.

The head of the Latvian Ministry of Defense, Inara Murniece, said that the people of the country will see the soldiers and military equipment of the army and their allies more often, as this creates a sense of security.

Warsaw, even before the appearance of the "Wagnerites", began to move its troops and conduct military exercises on the border with Ukraine and Belarus. Now this process has intensified, as Riga and Vilnius have joined it.

Currently, there is a transfer of military units of Latvia and Lithuania to the border with Belarus.

In different settlements of the aforementioned Baltic countries, phalanxes of military equipment were detected.

Notably, in Latvia, the head of the "Saeima" Committee on Citizenship and Immigration, Ingamar Lidaka, said that 6,000 Russians must leave Latvia and will receive the corresponding "letters" in September in order to fulfill this requirement within three months.

The crews manning the Polish attack helicopters that have been moved to the border with Belarus will not hesitate to use weapons if the situation takes a dangerous turn, Polish General Marek Sokolowski said.

"The helicopters have weapons and are ready to fight if there are worrying developments on the border," he said in a meeting with Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak.

The Minister of Defense, in turn, emphasized " the need to expand Poland's military presence" on the border with Belarus, arguing that provocative actions are expected to intensify.

The Polish government announced on Tuesday (1/8/2023) that two Belarusian helicopters violated Polish airspace near Bialowieza.

Blaszczak ordered the reinforcement of troops on the border and the dispatch of attack helicopters.

Belarus' Defense Ministry has rejected claims that Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters of the country's Air Force and Air Defense Forces had violated Polish airspace, saying the Polish claims are baseless.

According to Minsk, by making such claims, the Polish military and civilian authorities seek to justify a military build-up near the border with Belarus.

At the same time, Lithuania will close two of the six crossings on its border with Belarus, due to the concerns raised in Vilnius by the presence of mercenaries of the Russian private military company Wagner in its neighboring country, the Lithuanian Deputy Minister of the Interior announced.
