Fatah warns Israel against interfering in Samaria, Temple Mount

The Fatah movement's central committee, headed by Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, sent a threatening message to the Israeli government amid reports of a possible extensive military operation in northern Samaria to eradicate Palestinian terrorism.

In a statement published Saturday by the leadership of Fatah, it was stated that the "Palestinian people" cannot be subdued "by the force of terror," and that the Israeli perception on this matter is nothing but an "illusion," since the "Palestinians" have the determination and the ability to thwart it.

Fatah's leadership stressed that the "extremist government's" drive in Israel to legitimize the division of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in terms of time and space for Jews to pray is a violation of "Palestinian sovereignty" in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and constitutes "playing with fire" which could lead to escalations with PA, other countries in the region, and even on a worldwide scale.

With regard to the construction in Judea and Samaria, as well as the moves to return to areas from which Israelis had previously been evicted, the Fatah leadership stated that the "Palestinians" will respond by strengthening their firm stand and escalating the struggle at all points of conflict.

According to the Fatah leadership, the homeland of "Palestine" is united in their struggle and all attempts to create separation in the arenas of conflict will fail, as an escalation in one arena will affect the other arenas.

The message was signed with praise for the martyrs, a commitment to work for the release of the security prisoners, and with the slogan, "The revolution will continue until victory."
