Three Palestinians were killed and 19 others were wounded after armed clashes broke out between the IDF and Palestinian terrorists in Nablus on Monday night, according to Palestinian reports.
The IDF Spokesperson's Unit announced that Israeli forces were operating in Nablus. Part of the activity tonight in Nablus was a joint force of the IDF, the Israel Security Agency (ISA) and the Special Police Unit.
They raided a hiding place in Nablus which served as their place to build bombs for key operatives in the Lion's Den terrorist group.
During the operation, gunfire was exchanged between terrorists and IDF forces. Our forces blew up the hiding place. Dozens of Palestinians torched more tires and threw stones at the forces, who fired at the militants. A video showing heavy firefights between Israeli forces and Palestinians.
Initial reports indicated that members of the Lions' Den terrorist group were being targeted by the Israeli forces.
Palestinian media claimed that a vehicle was targeted by a missile fired by Israeli forces in the city, with video allegedly from the scene showing a car engulfed in flames. Several casualties were reported in the strike.
A video published by Palestinian media showed crowds of Palestinians headed towards the Old City of Nablus in order to clash with Israeli forces operating in the city.
Israeli operations come after weeks of tensions in Nablus
The Israeli operations in the city come after the Lions' Den terrorist groupbased in Nablus conducted a series of shooting attacks against Israelis in recent weeks.
