Is the US planning to join Ukraine in their battle against Russia?
The possibility of such a scenario seems to be more apparent after the Pentagon deployed roughly 12,000 troops near Ukraine in countries that are members of NATO. Washington also deployed 800 troops to Baltic states such as Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Both Estonia and Latvia border Russia while Lithuania borders Belarus, a loyal ally of Russia. Several American troops are training in Latvia alongside allies and drilling battlefield scenarios. NBC’s Josh Lederman reported for TODAY. The training also involves Apache attack helicopters.
Brig. Gen. Joseph E. Hilbert, the commanding general for the 7th Army Training Command, told NBC: “We are ready.”
