This weekend, there were anti-mandate and anti-covid restrictions demonstrations across the Netherlands. And some, particularly in Amsterdam, turned bloody and out-of-control…
As shown in the videos below, the anti-vaxxers (definition from Merriam-Webster: a person who opposes the use of vaccines or regulations mandating vaccination; BTW, it’s amazing what one can accomplish by controlling definitions) are being attacked by totally stressed, unsure and impulsive cops.
I like that the protestors aren’t getting violent when the cops start randomly beating them because it just makes the police look absolutely unhinged.
Also, the police with their helmets, shields and batons, dressed head to toe in black with their faces/identities hidden look like terrorists compared to the gentle passive protestors and veterans who are wearing their normal clothes and no weapons or strange face coverings. Powerful optics.
