The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation plans to spend another $1.4 billion over the next five years to prevent families from having children.

The Gates’ philanthropy organization has been a huge supporter of contraception and abortion for decades, sending millions of dollars to pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood, the Population Council and MSI Reproductive Choices (formerly Marie Stopes International).

Last week, it announced plans to spend another $1.4 billion through 2026 on promoting family planning across the world, according to the Catholic News Agency.

“We know that when women control their bodies and their futures, they unlock a cycle of empowerment that reverberates for generations to come,” Melinda Gates said in a post on the foundation website.

The $1.4 billion will be spent to increase access to contraception and support “a network of family planning partners,” such as UNFPA Supplies Partnership, Family Planning 2030, the Global Financing Facility and the new Shaping Equitable Market Access (SEMA) Reproductive Health initiative.

The goal is “to advance women’s economic empowerment, strengthen women and girls’ health and family planning, and accelerate women’s leadership,” according to the foundation.

Though the announcement did not mention abortion specifically, its underlying message is anti-child, and many of the groups that the Gates Foundation donates to promote and provide abortions.

According to Newsbustersthe Gates Foundation gave at least $81 million to Planned Parenthood from about 2009 to 2018, according to financial records from the foundation’s website. Additionally, it gave $46.1 million to the British-based abortion chain Marie Stopes International in 2012. These two groups alone abort millions of unborn babies every year across the world.

An investigation by Live Action News found the Gates Foundation also donated nearly $68 million to DKT International, which sends abortion drugs and devices across the world. DKT International is an nonprofit, non-governmental organization (NGO) that brags of being “one of the world’s largest providers of family planning.” According to its annual reports, it sent 3.5 million abortion drug “kits” across the world in 2018 and 4.2 million in 2019.

Many of the richest people in the world donate to pro-abortion groups.

According to Capital Research Center, Warren Buffett’s Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation donated $4 billion to abortion advocacy groups between 2000 and 2018. The largest recipients include Planned Parenthood, Marie Stopes International and the National Abortion Federation.

George Soros, Michael Bloomberg, the David and Lucille Packard Foundation (run by the heirs of one of the founders of Hewlett Packard), and others have given many millions more. CNA recently reported the ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos also recently donated a “significant multi-million dollar gift” to a pro-abortion progressive group.

An estimated 46.2 million unborn babies were aborted in the world in 2020, including nearly 1 million in the United States.
