Psychiatrist: 'Mass Delusional Psychosis" Due To Pandemic

Psychiatrist says the world is suffering from “mass delusional psychosis” because of pandemic

A psychiatrist has claimed that the ongoing Wuhan coronavirus pandemic has caused the world to suffer from “mass delusional psychosis.” Dr. Mark McDonald said the true public health crisis is not COVID-19 itself, but the fear of contracting it. He expressed concern that this “highly irrational” fear will have a lasting effect on children, since their own parents and grandparents are responsible for instilling this reaction.

McDonald cited a December 2020 article written by S.G. Cheah for Evie Magazine. Her article mentioned a number of otherwise irrational behaviors that have become normalized in the current time. These included parents being kicked off planes because their children were not wearing masks, and people having hysterical meltdowns when they see someone without a face covering.

Cheah remarked that many still enter a state of hysteria when they see someone without a mask, even though the person is perfectly healthy and does not have any respiratory issues. This is a highly irrational state without any basis in reality, she remarked. Cheah elaborated: “Instead of facing reality, the delusional person would rather live in their world of make-believe. [Others] have to play along with how they view the [make-believe] world – otherwise, their world will not make sense to them. It’s [the reason] why the delusional person will get angry when they face someone who doesn’t conform to their world view.”

The psychiatrist said the people Cheah described suffer from delusional psychosis. Seeing the prevalence of this psychosis made McDonald realize something. He explained: “It became clear to me … within the first two or three weeks in March [2020] that it was fear. Since then, the fear … has morphed and evolved … [into] an actual belief that is against reality.”

McDonald continued that these delusional people “believe they are going to die – no matter what age [or] state or health they’re in – if they don’t leave their house with a mask and gloves on every day and run from [other human beings.]” He remarked: “That’s delusional psychosis. It’s false, it’s wrong [and] it’s not backed up by evidence. And many, many Americans are living that and believing that.

McDonald expressed particular concern about the possible consequences of this widespread psychosis on children as they grow up. The issue is of particular significance to him as he specializes in treating children and adolescents. Since the lockdown began in March 2020, McDonald saw a massive spike in mental health problems among younger cohorts.

He cited recent statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showing a 400 percent increase in adolescent depression compared to a year ago. Teenagers involved in 25 percent of these cases have contemplated suicide, which McDonald remarked as unheard of. 

According to the psychiatrist, being disconnected from other people is a primary cause of depression – especially among children and adolescents. He continued that people need physical contact and emotional intimacy to feel safe around others and within themselves, and digital interactions cannot simply replace actual ones.

Aside from depression, children may also suffer from trauma stemming from the idea that they may kill their parents or grandparents simply by being around them. Cheah noted that young people are being conditioned to feel guilty about certain behaviors that would usually be considered normal. She commented: “It’s not normal for children to grow up thinking that everyone is a danger to everyone else.”

Five Canadian Tire staff act like police, handcuff lone maskless man in store

BURNABY, British Columbia, March 2, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — Staff at a Canadian Tire store wrestled to the floor and handcuffed a man who refused to wear a mask last week, highlighting again the apparent use of excessive force by non-governmental actors to impose mandatory mask mandates in Canada.

One video of the ordeal was posted on Twitter by a user named Dan Dicks. The clip shows the maskless man being apprehended by five Canadian Tire staff in Burnaby. They struggled to subdue the man for his apparent non-compliance with mask mandates inside the store.

He can be seen in a chokehold by one of the store staff members while on his knees. It is at this point in the video clip that the man strongly resists while screaming, “Get your hands off of me.”

A voice can be heard saying, “get your hands behind your back.” The man, with his face visibly red, then said, “I can’t breathe.”

He accused the staff of assaulting him, saying, “You guys aren’t the police,” to which a staff member responded, “It doesn’t matter.”

At this point in the video, the man is planted to the floor to be handcuffed, while still screaming, “Get your hands off of me.” He also said, “You’re hurting me.”

Welsh Man Arrested, Claims He Was Strip-Searched For Going For A Walk Too Far From Home

A man in Wales was arrested by police for going for a walk too far from home and failing to identify himself before he claimed he was taken to the police station and subjected to a strip search.

The incident was highlighted by Welsh member of Parliament Neil McEvoy, who posted a video of the arrest to Twitter.

According to McEvoy, the couple in question were grieving the recent death of an uncle and wanted to visit the nearest beach to go for a walk.

Mr. Radek, the man seen being handcuffed in the video, says that the couple had been struggling with mental health issues as a result of lockdown.

“My family was struggling with many issues that are sourced in the constant lockdowns and homeschooling,” said Radek.

“On top of that came personal family problems which we faced in the last months. They include the very serious illness of my wife’s brother and death of close relatives. We were not even able to say goodbye or go and attend the funeral in Poland.”

On returning to the car park after their walk on Talacre Beach, Radek and his wife were confronted by two female police officers who had been handing out fines.

Radek was told he had violated coronavirus regulations and was handcuffed before being subjected to a search without consent.

After refusing to give his name (which is not a legal requirement), Radek says he was taken to the police station, interrogated and shouted at.

Radek then says he was told to remove his clothes and threatened with their removal by scissors if he didn’t. He was then subjected to a humiliating strip search while being denied use of the toilet.

This is merely another example of the draconian policing now in force throughout the UK, with lockdown set to continue in some form until at least the end of June.

As we highlighted earlier, a woman in London was harassed by officers for trying to buy a coffee two miles from where she lives, while another video shows police harassing people for sitting down.
