M6.2 earthquake hits Indonesia - M6.0 aftershock minutes after
A strong and very deep M6.2 earthquake hit 73km NNE of Pendok, Indonesia at 2019-09-19 at 07:06:33 UTC or 2019-09-19 14:06:33 local time.
The epicenter is situated at the following location 6.056°S 111.863°E and at a depth of depth 611.76 km (380.13 mi).
Although very deep, more than 50 people reported feeling the
M6.2 earthquake on the USGS webpage.
The earthquake had a strong
M6.0 aftershock in the same area (71km NNE of Sumbersari, Indonesia).The aftershock was widely felt although also very deep.
There is no tsunami threat or warning in
place.
