All Prophecy Eyes Watching Syria

At this point it looks like Syria may be the trigger which will cascade the remaining prophetic events into motion. Many of us have thought that the scenario painted in Isaiah 17 and the destruction of Damascus as the event that would lead to Ezekiel 38-39 and then a fast entry into the Tribulation. Indeed most of the prophetic action recently seems centered in Syria and this shows no sign of abating any time soon, as we watch events escalating in the region:

Turkey and Saudi Arabia have made their plans clear to an amazed world, a new Wahhabist empire, an “Islamic State,” not the one the puppet front organization ISIS is running, but a real one with up to a million men in uniform, over three thousand modern combat aircraft and nuclear weapons.

Syria will fall to them, as will Iraq. They will take Jordan in a snap, crushing it from the north and south. The Gulf States are already onboard, willing members while Egypt may hold out awhile, with Israel, as long as it survives, holding one flank while Libya is already “gone,” part of the secret Erdogan caliphate.

Afghanistan is under attack, with ISIS recruiters and Saudi cash making significant inroads, not only there but in nuclear Pakistan as well. To his north, Ukraine is fully onboard, ready to declare war on Russia any day while Bulgaria and Romania remain silent partners, ready to knife both Russia and NATO in the back.
Georgia is a defacto client state of Turkey’s, a path for arms smuggling, the new “other silk road,” from Ukraine, by plane or Black Sea trawler from Odessa, into Georgia and through Turkey into Syria and Iraq, into the hands of Erdogan’s terror armies.

Israel woke up first and dumped Erdogan like a “hot potato.” He had them fooled the way he had Europe fooled. He even had Russia and Iran going for years with promises of trade deals and gas pipelines. Now it is clear, this is a madman bent on world domination, nothing less.

There was a time when Israel saw Syria as a threat, a modern nation allied first to the Soviet Union, then the Russian Federation, a modern army and air force, capable of perhaps not matching the Israeli juggernaut but a force to be contended with.

Today, Assad’s Syria is all that stands between Israel and an Islamic Empire, not the “Islamic State” of ISIS, but a Wahhabist monstrosity capable of wiping Israel off the map with ease, American backing and a nuclear arsenal notwithstanding and Israel now knows this all too well. Israel will look back on its former days of planning a preemptive strike on Iran or pouring armies into Syria across the Golan Heights as its “crazy days”.

A war is already going on.

Turkey has invaded Syria, ISIS is a Turkish army, Muslim Brotherhood recruits, mercenaries, underwritten by the Saudis and Qatar, aided by rogue Western intelligence agencies, the CIA and MI6.

Turkey has bombed Kurds inside Syria, not the claimed “rebel” PKK, but the US allies of the YPG, and is now shelling them in violation of a UNSC memorandum.

Turkey has invaded Iraq, sending in 1500 troops who now protect Mosul, the ISIS capitol. Their base sits on the strategic route for ISIS oil theft, protecting it until it enters the breakaway “Barzani Caliphate.”

Turkey is in a shooting war with Russia, kept in check only by a Russian naval force in the Mediterranean and Caspian Seas and by massive Russian military exercises north of Turkey’s borders.

Turkey is actively threatening Greece with continual air space violations and aggressive claims made against Greek islands in the Aegean.

Turkey is preparing for war with Iran, ethnically cleansing their common border of Kurds and through building a military base in Qatar to launch operations from.

Erdogan has been very successful in the refugee war. It isn’t just the upheaval that has left the European Union in ruin. He has also filled Europe with terror cells, modeled on the Gladio model NATO had inflicted on itself during the last century in response to the Soviet threat.

Europe is now honeycombed with weapons caches and terror cells while attempts to resist these efforts are derailed via claims of racist bigotry. This is where Erdogan was really clever. His terror armies, ISIS, the FSA, al Nusra, can round up tens of thousands of Syrians and heard them to the Turkish border. At will, Erdogan’s huge army trucks them to the coast and loads them onto boats, drowning some, pouring the rest into Greece, a nation he hates almost as much as he hates Russia and the Kurdish people.

Political attempts inside Europe to stem this tide are represented as neo-fascist. Moreover, funds earmarked for counter-terrorism in the EU are not only sadly inadequate to deal with the thousand fold increase in threat level but are bled off for refugee services.
Europe now lies prostrate at Erdogan’s feet.

The combined military of Turkey, the Gulf States and Saudi Arabia, the New Islamic State, or better stated, the “Islamic Empire,” can field up to 3500 modern main battle tanks, over 3000 generation 3+ combat aircraft, the most advanced air and missile defenses American could provide and put over 1 million men in the field.

When you look at what they have done with ISIS, al Nusra, the FSA and the “sister” organizations, probably fewer than 80,000 fighters, the political and economic damage, the human disaster, the suffering they have caused, and you look at what they can do, you realize that this was always intended to be a nuclear war.

Recent mainstream military publications have reported that both Turkey and Saudi Arabia are ready to test nuclear weapons. Israel reported that the Gulf States had recently approached them about buying nuclear weapons. Now that we are facing a real nuclear war at the hands of nation after nation that had been previously “above suspicion,” can we wonder why all the fuss about Iran?

What is important, however, is to note that over 18,000 Turkish troops are on the Syrian border now, with another 250,000 available to move into both Syria and Iraq within 30 days, all fully mobilized. From the south, some already in Jordan on “training exercises,” Saudi Arabia has armored forces ready to move into Syria while more are staged to attack Iraq.

The threat is the creation of an autocratic terror state run by a madman, a state of stonings and head choppings, a state of slavery and conquest, a state built on the Wahhabist extremism that created the model for ISIS but 30 times larger, encompassing North Africa, the Balkans to the Indus River.

When Russia announced it would wipe out any Saudi or Turkish forces moving into Syria, that looked like a nuclear threat. To counter it, Turkey was prepared to steal the NATO nuclear arsenal at Incirlik Air Base, 84 thermonuclear weapons.

This plan had long been underway with Saudi specialists trained in defeating the weapon safeguards based on stolen nuclear secrets secured from Israel, something Israel deeply regrets now, we believe.
Israel, also out of short sightedness, had upgraded Turkish F16s for service as nuclear bombers to use against Russia, perhaps not to “use” as such, but to blackmail Russia into backing down when Syria was overrun.

Of course, when Syria was to be overrun, the puppet state of “Barzani-land” would be set up, a virtual “Gaza” for surviving Kurds while the Gulf States and Saudi Arabia moved into Iraq in an ironic reversal of Saddam’s 1990 move.

According to the Turkish journal Hurriyet, recent events have clearly shown that Turkey’s politics in Syria have been an utter and complete failure both in militarily and political terms. This media is convinced that Erdogan has lost Washington’s trusts and, what’s even worse, depleted all of his options that could make any difference in this situation.

Erdogan, has lost a sense of reality and has decided that he can use any option against opponents of his policy for a “future world domination by the Ottoman Empire”, he even went as far as mocking Russia’s President Vladimir Putin. Bloomberg notes Erdogan’s comments: “What are you doing in Syria? You’re essentially an occupier.” Perhaps Erdogan has forgotten that Russian military forces in Syria have arrived after the request of the legitimate government of Syria to help it fight terrorists in accordance with international law, and therefore they would be the last ones to be called “invaders.“

It’s ironic that Erdogan fits the description of an “occupier” better than anybody else. How else can one label the ongoing shelling of the Syrian military in north-west Latakia? Or the incursion of Turkish forces into Syria, that has even become the subject of a UN Security Council discussion? The massacre of the Kurdish population along both sides of Turkish-Syrian border reminds one of the Armenian genocide, which Turkey has denied to this day despite universal condemnation.

It’s been reported that after crossing the border with Syria, Turkish military units have started digging trenches within 200 meters from the border. At the same time Turkish artillery units continued shelling Kurdish forces and civilians alike near Afrin and Aazaz.

It has been underlined more that once that Turkey’s policies have become increasingly unhinged, due to oppressive policies of Tayyip Erdogan. According to the American political scientist David Goldman, in the nearest future Turkey runs the risk of becoming a “failed” state. This is the direct result of misguided Turkish authorities and the oppression of the Kurdish people, which started with Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and is being carried on to the present day. And Erdogan’s recent actions can be labeled as a veritable genocide that should be condemned by the international community. Western military analysts also believe that, if there is no change in the political leadership of the country, in the medium term, Turkey won’t be able to preserve its borders, and Kurdish separatism will become the start of an end for it.

Turkey previously shot down a Russian jet.
Now, Turkey and Saudi Arabia are threatening to invade Syria.
How dangerous could this get, in a worst case scenario?
Robert Parry – the investigative reporter who broke the Iran-Contra story for the Associated Press and Newsweek  –  wrote yesterday:
A source close to Russian President Vladimir Putin told me that the Russians have warned Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that Moscow is prepared to use tactical nuclear weapons if necessary to save their troops in the face of a Turkish-Saudi onslaught. Since Turkey is a member of NATO, any such conflict could quickly escalate into a full-scale nuclear confrontation.

Washington’s Blog asked one of America’s top experts on Russia – Stephen Cohen, professor emeritus of Russian studies and politics at New York University and Princeton University, and the author of a number of books on Russia and the Soviet Union – what he thought of Parry’s claim.
Cohen said:

Parry is a serious man [“serious” is the highest compliment that an insider can give to someone]. I cannot say it will lead to nuke war, but it is very dangerous, as is quadrupling US/NATO forces near Russia’s borders.

Pavel Felgenhauer – a leading Russian military analyst – also believes that a nuclear war is “very likely” to arise from Russia’s skirmishes with Turkey in Syria.
Last December, U.S. Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard – a Member of the House Armed Services Committee, Iraq war veteran, and Major in the Hawaii Army National Guard – warned that U.S. policy in Syria could lead to a nuclear war. And see this.
Also in December, retired Lieutenant General Robert Gard, chairman emeritus of the Center for Arms Control and Nonproliferation, retired Brigadier General John H. Johns, professor emeritus from US National Defense University, and Leslie Gelb, president of the Council on Foreign Relations,  penned an article in Foreign Policy calling for US-Russia cooperation to de-escalate current tensions and diffuse the increasing worrisome nuclear blustering.
Blair writes that the threat of nuclear war is higher now that during the Soviet era:

Russia has shortened the launch time from what it was during the Cold War. Today, top military command posts in the Moscow area can bypass the entire human chain of command and directly fire by remote control rockets in silos and on trucks as far away as Siberia in only 20 seconds.
Why should this concern us? History shows that crisis interactions, once triggered, take on a life of their own. Military encounters multiply; they become more decentralized, spontaneous and intense. Safeguards are loosened and unfamiliar operational environments cause accidents and unauthorized actions. Miscalculations, misinterpretations and loss of control create a fog of crisis out of which a fog of war may emerge. In short, the slope between the low-level military encounters, the outbreak of crisis and escalation to a nuclear dimension is a steep and slippery one.

Russia expert Stephen Cohen agrees that the risks of nuclear war are much higher than people know, telling the Commonwealth Club last year that the threat of nuclear war with Russia is now greater than it was with the Soviets.
Former U.S. Secretary of Defense William Perry agrees that the risk of nuclear war is higher than during the Soviet era.
Postscript:  Top Russian, American and Polish experts also warn that continued fighting in Ukraine could lead to nuclear war.

The West and its Mideast partners are playing deceiving Machiavellian games in Syria, F. William Engdahl told Sputnik, adding that Russia is in a most risky situation if it believes that the other actors involved in the conflict, such as Recep Erdogan or King Salman and his impulsive son Prince Mohammed, are reasonable, as hate knows no reason.

While tensions are simmering over the prospect of a Turkish-Saudi invasion of Syria, six members of the UN Security Council, including the US, UK and France, have voiced their objections to a Russian draft resolution aimed at restoring the sovereignty of the Middle Eastern state, fanning the flames.

The draft resolution, which denounces any actions that undermine the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria and condemns any plans for a foreign military invasion, has been dismissed by the US and French UN ambassadors as "having no future."

It is rather surprising that the proposed resolution, aimed at peace in Syria and the protection of the fundamental values of the UN charter, has immediately come under fire from Washington and the major European powers. However, there is an obvious explanation: the Western powers have repeatedly violated international law, having acted militarily in Syria without official permission from the legitimate government of President Bashar al-Assad.

By stepping in in Syria, Russia has actually entered a geopolitical chess tournament with crafty Western players. Will Vladimir Putin and Bashar Assad beat Washington's geopolitical grandmasters at their own game?
"This is a very difficult question to answer. My honest feeling is that the American Patriarchs as I prefer to call them, not grandmasters, have a deep plan with their many wars in the Middle East. The plan is simple — spread hate, destruction, a killing energy, not only in the Middle East oil countries but also in the EU as well as inside the United States, in China, everywhere, with their wars over oil in the end," Engdahl pointed out.

  1. How surreal it is to see things unfolding now verses a few years ago when all we could do was wonder. :)
We are extremely blessed to witness things from this side of heaven! May everything be safe and well
In your part of the world.

    God Bless!!

    Proverbs 21

1In the Lord’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water
that he channels toward all who please him.
2A person may think their own ways are right,
but the Lord weighs the heart.
3To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
4Haughty eyes and a proud heart—
the unplowed field of the wicked—produce sin.
5The plans of the diligent lead to profit
as surely as haste leads to poverty.
6A fortune made by a lying tongue
is a fleeting vapor and a deadly snare.a
7The violence of the wicked will drag them away,
for they refuse to do what is right.
8The way of the guilty is devious,
but the conduct of the innocent is upright.
9Better to live on a corner of the roof
than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.
    10The wicked crave evil;
their neighbors get no mercy from them.
    11When a mocker is punished, the simple gain wisdom;
by paying attention to the wise they get knowledge.
12The Righteous Oneb takes note of the house of the wicked
and brings the wicked to ruin.
13Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor
will also cry out and not be answered.
14A gift given in secret soothes anger,
and a bribe concealed in the cloak pacifies great wrath.
15When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous
    but terror to evildoers.
16Whoever strays from the path of prudence
comes to rest in the company of the dead.
    17Whoever loves pleasure will become poor;
whoever loves wine and olive oil will never be rich.
18The wicked become a ransom for the righteous,
and the unfaithful for the upright.
19Better to live in a desert
than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife.
20The wise store up choice food and olive oil,
    but fools gulp theirs down.
    21Whoever pursues righteousness and love
    finds life, prosperityc and honor.
22One who is wise can go up against the city of the mighty
and pull down the stronghold in which they trust.
23Those who guard their mouths and their tongues
    keep themselves from calamity.
24The proud and arrogant person—“Mocker” is his name—
    behaves with insolent fury.
25The craving of a sluggard will be the death of him,
because his hands refuse to work.
26All day long he craves for more,
but the righteous give without sparing.
27The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable—
how much more so when brought with evil intent!
    28A false witness will perish,
but a careful listener will testify successfully.
29The wicked put up a bold front,
but the upright give thought to their ways.
30There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan
that can succeed against the Lord.
31The horse is made ready for the day of battle,
but victory rests with the Lord.
