Russia’s President Vladimir Putin vowed vengeance after Moscow on Tuesday confirmed that a bomb attack brought down a passenger jet over Egypt last month, killing all 224 people on board.
“It is not the first time that Russia confronts barbarous terrorist crimes,” Putin said in a meeting late Monday with his security chiefs.
“The murder of our people in Sinai is among the bloodiest crimes in terms of victims. We will not wipe away the tears from our soul and hearts. This will stay with us forever but will not stop us finding and punishing the criminals,” he said in comments released Tuesday.
“We will search for them anywhere they might hide. We will find them in any part of the world and punish them,” he said, calling the attack “one of the bloodiest crimes.”
Russia’s security chief, Alexander Bortnikov, told Putin that the passenger jet was brought down over the Sinai Peninsula by a bomb with a force equivalent to one kilo of TNT.
“We can say unequivocally that this was a terrorist attack,” Federal Security Service (FSB) head Bortnikov said. The security agency announced a $50 million (47 million-euro) reward for information leading to capture of those responsible.
The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for downing the Russian plane in written statements, as well as video and audio messages posted on the internet following the crash.
Egyptian authorities said Tuesday that they detained two employees of the Sharm el-Sheikh airport, from which the flight departed en route to St. Petersburg.
“Seventeen people are being held, two of them are suspected of helping whoever planted the bomb on the plane at Sharm el-Sheikh airport,” an Egyptian security official told Reuters.
In response to the attack, Putin pledged to step up airstrikes in Syria, where Moscow is conducting a bombing campaign it says is targeting the Islamic State and other “terrorist” groups.
“The combat work of our aviation in Syria must not only be continued. It must be intensified so that the criminals understand that vengeance is inevitable,” Putin said.
“There’s no statute of limitations for this, we need to know all of their names,” he said. “We’re going to look for them everywhere wherever they are hiding. We will find them in any place on Earth and punish them.
“In this work, including the search to find and punish the criminals, we are relying on all of our friends,” Putin continued. “We will act in accordance with the UN Charter’s Article 51, which gives each country the right to self-defense. Everyone who tries to aid the criminals should understand that they will be responsible for giving them shelter.”
The Islamic State group has warned Putin that it would also target him “at home,” but did not offer any details to back its claim.
President Putin promised to find those responsible for the Russian passenger plane crash in Egypt in any part of the world and exact revenge.
The announcement was made at a meeting at which the final results of the investigation into the causes of the tragedy were officially confirmed.
“It is not the first time Russia has faced these barbaric terrorist crimes, which often come without any visible reasons, internal or external, as was the case with terrorist act in Volgograd back in 2013. We haven't forgotten anything or anyone,” said the President.
The President also added that the perpetrators of this attack will certainly be punished.
“We should pursue them without any statute of limitations and should know all of them by name. We will be looking for them wherever they would try to hide. We will find them in any part of the world and punish them,” he stressed.
On Tuesday Russia confirmed that the Airbus A321 with 224 people on board was brought down by a terrorist explosive device.
An investigation into the crash showed traces of an explosive material in personal items and parts of the plane.
Russia is now offering $50mln for information on those who might have been involved in the terrorist attack on the A321.
The effect of the Paris terror attack upon the debate over Syrian refugees in the United States was swift and dramatic.
By Monday afternoon, nearly a dozen states had declared they would accept no more Syrians until their security concerns had been addressed. The speed and scope of this response suggests state governors have been receiving a loud and clear message from their constituents.
President Obama apparently isn’t hearing that message, because he insists it’s full steam ahead on large-scale Syrian resettlement in the United States, and resistance to his agenda is “shameful” and “un-American.”
“Slamming the door in their faces would be a betrayal of our values,” Obama said from the G-20 summit in Turkey on Monday.
American “values” are not a suicide pact, and the concerns about security from Obama’s reckless refugee policy are not illogical. First and foremost, the Obama talking point about “vetting” these refugees is the greatest insult to the intelligence of American voters since the promise that illegal aliens who receive amnesty will pay back taxes, plus a fine for breaking U.S. immigration law.
There will be no meaningful vetting of the Syrian migratory tide, as our own Homeland Security apparatus has admitted to Congress. In fact, we’ll be lucky if the majority of them are Syrians. False claims of Syrian origin are the hottest ticket in Europe right now, backed up by a thriving black market in forged and stolen identity papers.
It is by no means clear that even something as basic as genuine Syrian origin could be verified for the number of migrants Obama wants to import to the United States, on the timetable he envisions.
Governors across the country are publicly rejecting President Obama’s plan to relocate Syrian refugees.
The growing number of governors rejecting Syrian refugees comes after reports that one of the suspects in Friday’s Paris terrorist attacks, which killed more than 120 people, had entered Paris by masquerading as a Syrian refugee.
The number of Republican governors who have called for the rejection of the relocation of Syrian refugees in their states continues to climb. Currently, the GOP Governors of Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Massachusetts, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, New Jersey, Kansas and Wisconsin have all rejected Obama’s resettlement plan. That means 22 sitting GOP governors have rejected Obama’s plans–and only nine sitting GOP governors haven’t come out against the plan.
In addition, Kentucky’s governor-elect Matt Bevin is publicly opposed to the plan as well, which means when he is sworn in as the next governor of Kentucky there will be at least 23 states with GOP governors opposed to Obama’s Syrian refugee resettlement plan. That’s also all in addition to New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan–a Democrat–coming out against President Obama’s plans.
Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin released a statement saying: “I am calling upon the President to immediately suspend the program pending a full review of its security and acceptance procedures. The State of Wisconsin will not accept new Syrian refugees.”
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal went so far as to sign an executive order allowing Louisiana officials and law enforcement agencies to prevent Syrian refugees from resettling in the state.
It is imperative that we take action where the White House has not. I have therefore directed all state agencies, departments, boards or commissions not to participate or assist in the relocation of Syrian refugees to Kansas. It is unfortunate that we must take this step to protect the safety of Kansans, but the federal government cannot guarantee that Syrian refugees coming to America would not be part of a terrorist organization seeking to harm our citizens.
The Obama administration needs to assure the public that the background checks they are doing are rigorous, and that American lives will not be endangered in the process. Until then, I call on the Obama administration to suspend any Syrian refugees into the United States. During these uncertain times the Obama administration needs to make sure those entering the United States are not terrorists.
I’m currently working with the Mississippi Department of Public Safety and Mississippi Office of Homeland Security to determine the current status of any Syrian refugees that may be brought to our state in the near future. I will do everything humanly possible to stop any plans from the Obama administration to put Syrian refugees in Mississippi. The policy of bringing these individuals into the country is not only misguided, it is extremely dangerous. I’ll be notifying President Obama of my decision today to resist this potential action.
Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam has asked for resettlement to be suspended, saying: “Today I’m asking the federal government to suspend placements in Tennessee until states can become more of a partner in the vetting process.”
North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory said: “We have an act of war going on that could come to our country and my job as governor is to protect the people of our state while also showing empathy to those people who are being harmed by terrorists.”
Idaho’s Gov. Butch Otter said on Monday: “While I understand that immigration and refugee resettlement are authorized under federal law, I am duty-bound to do whatever I can to protect the people of Idaho from harm.”
Maine Gov. Paul LePage said that it’s irresponsible for the United States to accept refugees. “Remember 9/11? I think some people came through Maine, and they did a lot of damage in New York,” said LePage “I think we’ve got to be very diligent, very on top of this issue.”
Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts said in a statement: “While I understand the danger and persecution many are facing in the Middle East, it is important that our state and our nation consider the safety and security of Nebraskans and Americans first in any refugee resettlement efforts. The terrorist attacks that occurred over the weekend in Paris are a solemn reminder of the reach and strength of ISIS and their agents.”
Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker told reporters Monday: “No, I’m not interested in accepting refugees from Syria… I would need to know a lot more than I know now before I would agree to do anything.”
Governor-elect Matt Bevin of Kentucky said Monday in a statement: “My primary responsibility as Governor of Kentucky will be to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth. This is why I am joining with other governors across the country in opposing the resettlement of Syrian nationals until we can better determine the full extent of any risks to our citizens.”
Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder has also rejected Syrian refugees. He said in a statement: “Michigan is a welcoming state and we are proud of our rich history of immigration… But our first priority is protecting the safety of our residents.”
Despite everything that just happened in France, on Sunday the Obama administration made it clear that it still plans to resettle at least 10,000 Syrian refugees in communities all over the United States within the next year. Thanks to Obama, the U.S. has already been absorbing thousands of refugees from the Middle East each year, and as you will see below, just last week administration officials expressed a desire to “increase and accelerate” that process. So far, the list of states that have received the most refugees includes Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. But by the time it is all said and done, it is likely that Syrian refugees will end up in virtually every major city in the United States. The U.S. State Department has established “refugee processing centers” in 48 different states, and you can view the entire list right here. Considering what just took place in Paris, is this really a good idea?
In recent months, the massive influx of refugees into Europe has created a complete and utter nightmare. Large numbers of refugees have gotten “lost”, violent crime is out of control in many of the areas where these refugees have been resettled, and nations that were once extremely peaceful such as Norway and Sweden are now dealing with an epidemic of rape. For much, much more on the horror that Europe is now facing, please check out this excellent video.
You would think that what happened on Friday would make Obama rethink things, but that has not happened.
Over the weekend, the Obama administration insisted that plans to resettle Syrian refugees all over America have not changed, and as I mentioned above, just last week officials were expressing a desire “to increase and accelerate the number of Syrian refugees” being resettled inside this country…
We have become so politically correct that we cannot even see what we are doing to ourselves. Most of these “refugees” from Syria are strong young men, and they are creating chaos wherever they go in Europe.
The same thing will happen here, and Obama must realize this.
The following map comes from Weasel Zippers, and it shows where Syrian refugees have already been resettled…
And of course this is just part of a rising trend of Islamic immigration into this nation. The following numbers come from a recent article by Daniel Horowitz…
- Numbers: We have admitted approximately 1.6 million immigrants from predominantly Muslim countries from 2001-2013, double the average rate prior to 9/11.
- Recent Trend: Immigration from Muslim countries is the fastest growing segment of our annual admissions. The countries with the highest percentage increase since 2010 have all been predominantly Muslim countries. Saudi Arabia (up 93 percent); Bangladesh up 37 percent); Iraq (up 36 percent); Egypt (up 25 percent); Pakistan, India, and Ethiopia (all up 24 percent); Nigeria and Ghana (both up 21 percent)
- Trajectory: According to Pew Research, the Muslim population is expected to triple by 2050 – from 2.77 million to 8.1 million. It is expected to double in just 15 years and surpass the United State’s Jewish population by 2040.
So Britain is going to rely on the pitifully ineffective rabble at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), who is evidently screening Syrian Muslim refugees arriving in England this week. England's Home Secretary has assured Brits that all is well, since they are taking in "refugees" direct from camps, and the UNHCR does impeccable screening of the "refugees." In other words, "everything that can be done is being done."
No, not everything. There is always another option, and that is to suspend or outright cancel any movement of "refugees" into the UK. But, evidently, this is not one of the options they are considering.
And why? Because, like liberals in the U.S., liberals in Europe #CareMoreThanWeDo, and will be as brainless as they must to prove it, even to the point of having their own citizens murdered.
But fear not, Brits, for officials have your back, as they "tighten border controls after it emerged two of the Paris gunmen arrived in Greece posing as refugees from Syria." Wow – didn't see that one coming, except that we all predicted just that quite some time ago. It is stunning how stupid the left is that they either couldn't predict this or simply refuse to conclude the obvious out of fealty to political correctness.
As I said yesterday in my podcast, this is who these idiot officials are, and ours are no different. They are reactionary. We on the right predict that so-and-so will happen. It happens – the left is surprised and reacts with some temporary or faux fix. This is exactly the case here. We predicted – we guaranteed (at least, I did) that allowing the country to be overrun with Muslims who have zero interest in assimilation would end in disaster.
But neither politicians in Europe nor politicians in the United States listen to us. It is, once again, symbolism over substance and common sense. So when someone like actor Rob Lowe tweets out, "oh, NOW France closes its borders. #Hollande," the response of the mindless Twitter drones should be predictable – and it was. They called him a racist and said he was "distasteful," "disgusting," and "inhumane." The liberal press, predictably, echoed those sentiments. How is stating the obvious disgusting and inhumane? Maybe it's a microaggression.
Meanwhile, stateside, Obama talking heads were busy defending their leader's asinine statement that ISIS was not expanding its territory or influence and was, in fact, contained, thanks to Obama. Boy did that come back to bite him in the butt rather quickly. There's nothing worse than being proven a fool almost immediately. He should have learned from his global warming compatriots that if you're going to make idiotic statements, you have to stretch out the timeline – like we will suffer the consequences in 20, 30, 50, or 100 years. That way, when you're wrong, most people who heard you say it will be dead by then.
And then there is this, which I also predicted in my podcast as one of the likely scenarios to come out the Paris bombing. In Germany, things may be heating up, as hundreds of thousands of Muslim "refugees" have already found their way in. One of the scenarios is what I call neo-nationalism – the natural backlash to Merkel's liberal immigration policy
A liberal German Green Party official came home to find a gallows spray painted on his front window with the word "Volksverraeter," which means traitor. This, to me, is but the first volley of the backlash against German immigration policy.
"The situation that we have at the moment is leading to a split in society where people are drifting apart," said Joachim Trebbe, a communications researcher at Berlin's Free University. Citizens attending a rally told the Associated Press that they aren't xenophobes, but rather ordinary people who simply feel frustrated that the government isn't listening to their concerns.
This situation in Europe--Germany, in particular--is a powder keg, and it won't take much to set it off. One attack like that in Paris and it will blow. One can only hope that policy changes will occur before it happens.
And the same can be said in this country, as the Obama administration attempts to mimic the same idiotic immigration policies.

I just wonder how much more the watching Body of Christ can take in seeing this world grow more insane by the minute. So I have to remind myself that these things have been foretold. Jesus said there would be days like this. But there is the tendency to point fingers at governments that aren't doing their jobs. Like we just need the right man in office to get us back on track. I can understand that way of thinking coming from the unbelieving world, but so many professing Christians think that way as well.
ReplyDeleteJesus remains the only answer and this world, for the most part, has clearly rejected Him. This world ain't our home… “For we do not have an enduring city here; instead, we seek the one to come.”
I'm more than ready to go Home. Maranatha!
Good points Dave. I too am finding it very difficult to watch current events and the ridiculous things being rammed down our throats. Things that 50 years ago would have been laughed at and scoffed at. But here we are. At least we arent guilty of loving this world (1John)
ReplyDeleteBrother Dave, perhaps we've looking at this all wrong. Perhaps the situation is getting so bad that the harvest is getting ripe and only the laborers are needed. At church, we presented a drama of Judgment House, about 8 scenes. So many groups signed up we had to expend from 6 nights to 7. 33 folks accepted Christ right then and there with at least 22 going home under such conviction they were going to have to make a decision soon.
ReplyDeleteThe final night, and we could all feel it....the Lord was moving. The whole staff, over 130 of us, could feel it. We commented how God was moving in a big way that night....that was before anybody got there but the staff. We had over 2 bus loads arrive from 1 1/2 hours away, without reservations.....over 76 folks over and above the 120 or so with reservations. Another 33 saved and people leaving sobbing their head off, they were under such pain of conviction. We heard of cars having to pull off the road and park on the way home as people were saved right there in the front seat.
Amazing!!!!
Really, it might be time to take a step back and look at this insanity a totally different way.
So very rue Mr. C. :). Now, while many are running around in confusion, sprayed with lies and deceptions from all around the world,
ReplyDeletepeople seeking answers; I can't help but to view this as an opportunity to help others to shake off what is unclear or untrue. We have
a chance to reach out and take them lovingly by the hand and show them another way in these last days and hours. It is no longer
about our personal views as we wait, but about how God needs us to do his work in these crazy times. :). It seems like so much "programmed"
thinking that many don't know there are still other options instead of being one of the sheeple.
Great job with the church!
God Bless!!
GG
...mama also said there would be days like this :)
ReplyDeleteCarver… wonderful there! That must have been amazing. Praise God. I long to see that happen in my neck of the woods. I live in New England, way north of the old Bible Belt. Folks tend to be ”scoffish” and hard to reach here. But that must be everywhere these days. Such a need to all the more lean unto the Lord and His understanding, allowing Him to lead us to the harvest. Bring it on, Lord, and use us however you desire in these last days.
ReplyDeleteScott, as much as watching these insane events unfold is so wearing I truly appreciate all the work you've done in keeping us informed.
Fantastic Caver! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCaver,
ReplyDeleteThat is the best news I have heard in a while.I praise Him for it!
Its hard to watch, especially painful, but yes we know what's coming. And its going to open up the harvest like never before.....
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteThanks folks....but it was ALL Him.
Some visitors from visiting churches said they had seen God move before, but never like in that church that night. It was amazing.
Dave - many thanks brother
ReplyDeleteAs far as Caver's comments - I believe in this age, the divide between good and evil is growing. Just an observation...Evil is darker and darker, while on the other hand many are coming to Christ and drawing closer to Christ.
David Aldrich , SPOT ON ! Jesus is the only sanity there is ! I'm so so glad he's entrenched in my heart , LOVE THE CHRIST
ReplyDeleteCaver,
ReplyDeletePlease let us know if you offer this again or to other churches.Scott has my contact info and I would love to come or even host it for you in our area. Would you and Mrs. C pray about this?
The saddest thing about the whole topic is not that people will not hear it but that we will not teach on it.
Praying .
Hi Waterer,
ReplyDeleteWow...just about missed this completely. We do one of the many Judgment House (JH)scripts a year. You may wish to visit their main site explaining who/what they are at http://www.judgementhouse.org/whatisJH.html
If you go on their site you may be able to find another church presenting it in the area this year.
This is no small event...or effort. Actors from infants through ....well, older (chuckling). Some of the sets in the play are easy, others extensive. There are weeks of construction and preparation before each presentation.
Will be glad to let you know before the next presentation but expect it to be about a year from now. If this is something your Church is interested in presenting please get up with either Mrs C or myself and we can get you the name of the couple at our Church who were the drivers and coordinators.
I think you will find this not only to be a serious evangelical soul winner, but things will happen in your church too. People get extremely close and the youth and more mature get closer.
A short 4 min You Tube showing some of the characters during the lead up and practicing their roles/rehearsals at our Church.
http://www.judgementhouse.org/whatisJH.html
Thanks Caver!
ReplyDeleteI spent awhile watching about half of it online today and hope to see the last half tomorrow. My mind and heart are ticking on another way to tell the old Story anew with hope and clarity. Many thanks!
