For the last several months there have been warnings of a coming economic storm, with many forecasting serious financial calamity by the Fall of this year.
But for the last several years America has appeared to remain fairly insulated from overt crisis. We were told that a recovery had taken hold, jobs were returning and consumer confidence had reached new highs, propaganda which drove millions of investors back into stock markets and real estate. No one in the mainstream world, it seems, believes there’s anything to be concerned about.
Except there is.
A report from Zero Hedge highlights just how hard Americans have been hit with increased energy prices, inflation and low-wage labor offerings. This is the hard evidence that proves once and for all what most Americans will become privy to after the fact: we are in a recession.
The biggest culprit in the collapse in spending intentions was the middle class (those making between $50 and $100K) but mostly the wealthy, those with incomes over $100K. It was the latter whose spending expectations dropped to, you guessed it, the lowest in series history.
Needless to say, this was not supposed to happen.
Worse, in an economy where 70% of the GDP is in the hands of consumer spending, a collapse in spending intentions to multi-year low levels means just one thing: recession.
The U.S. economy is driven by one thing: consumer spending, much of it based on credit.
As the chart above shows, spending has collapsed. And that can really only mean one thing going forward. America is not about to enter a recession, we are already in one right here and now.
It has been suggested that the collapse of the debt bubble could lead to shortages of the most basic necessities for survival. Analyst Greg Mannarino recently warned that because the growth, including population growth, we’ve seen over the last two decades has been dependent on credit, once that credit is frozen it will have ramifications that most people can’t even imagine as a possibility:
Did you see what just happened? The devaluation of the yuan by China triggered the largest one day drop for that currency in the modern era. This caused other global currencies to crash relative to the U.S. dollar, the price of oil hit a six year low, and stock markets all over the world were rattled. The Dow fell 212 points on Tuesday, and Apple stock plummeted another 5 percent.
As we hurtle toward the absolutely critical months of September and October, the unraveling of the global financial system is beginning to accelerate. At this point, it is not going to take very much to push us into a full-blown worldwide financial crisis. The following are 12 signs that indicate that a global financial crash has become even more likely after the events of the past few days…
#1 The devaluation of the yuan on Tuesday took virtually the entire planet by surprise (and not in a good way). The following comes from Reuters…
China’s 2 percent devaluation of the yuan on Tuesday pushed the U.S. dollar higher and hit Wall Street and other global equity markets as it raised fears of a new round of currency wars and fed worries about slowing Chinese economic growth.
#2 One of the big reasons why China devalued the yuan was to try to boost exports. China’s exports declined 8.3 percent in July, and global trade overall is falling at a pace that we haven’t seen since the last recession.
#3 Now that the Chinese have devalued their currency, other nations that rely on exports are indicating that they might do the same thing. If you scan the big financial news sites, it seems like the term “currency war” is now being bandied about quite a bit.
#4 This is the very first time that the 50 day moving average for the Dow has moved below the 200 day moving average in the last four years. This is known as a “death cross”, and it is a very troubling sign. We are just about at the point where all of the most common technical signals that investors typically use to make investment decisions will be screaming “sell”.
#5 The price of oil just closed at a brand new six year low. When the price of oil started to decline back in late 2014, a whole lot of people were proclaiming that this would be a good thing for the U.S. economy. Now we can see just how wrong they were.
#6 This week we learned that OPEC has been pumping more oil than we thought, and it is being projected that this could cause the price of oil to plunge into the 30s…
#7 In a recent article, I explained that the collapse in commodity prices that we are witnessing right now is eerily similar to what we witnessed just before the stock market crash of 2008. On Tuesday, things got even worse for commodities as the price of copper closed at a brand new six year low.
#8 The South American debt crisis of 2015 continues to intensify. Brazil’s government bonds have been downgraded to just one level above junk status, and the approval rating of Brazil’s president has fallen into the single digits.
#9 Just before the financial crisis of 2008, a surging U.S. dollar put an extraordinary amount of stress on emerging markets. Now that is happening again. Emerging market stocks just hit a brand new four year low on Tuesday thanks to the stunt that China just pulled.
#10 Things are not so great in the United States either. The ratio of wholesale inventories to sales in the United States just hit the highest level since the last recession. What that means is that there is a whole lot of stuff sitting in warehouses out there that is waiting to be sold in an economy that is rapidly slowing down.
#11 Speaking of slowing down, the growth of consumer spending in the United States has just plummeted to multi-year lows.
#12 Deep inside, most of us can feel what is coming. According to Gallup, the number of Americans that believe that the economy is getting worse is almost 50 percent higher than the number of Americans that believe that the economy is getting better.
Things are lining up perfectly for a global financial crisis and a major recession beginning in the fall and winter of 2015.
But just because things look like they will happen a certain way does not necessarily mean that they will. All it takes is a single “event” of some sort to change everything.
On Wednesday a London-based think tank said war games by NATO and Russia increase the possibility of “dangerous military encounters” and war on the European continent.
According to Ian Kearns, director of the London-based European Leadership Network, war games and military preparation “are contributing to a climate of mistrust” that has “on occasion become the focal point for some quite close encounters between the NATO and Russian militaries.”
“While spokespeople may maintain that these operations are targeted against hypothetical opponents, the nature and scale of them indicate otherwise: Russia is preparing for a conflict with NATO, and NATO is preparing for a possible confrontation with Russia,” Kearns said.
NATO and Russia have conducted huge military exercises since the coup in Ukraine.
The report highlights two: NATO’s “Allied Shield” exercise in June and Russia’s “snap exercise” held in March that involved 80,000 military personnel.
“These tensions are further aggravated and elevated into a sense of unpredictability when the exercises are not pre-notified or publicly announced beforehand, as is apparently the case with a number of Russian exercises,” the report states.
Numerous “near encounters” have occurred, including a narrowly-avoided collision between an airliner and a Russian aircraft near Copenhagen.
The encounters reveal “the fact that both NATO and Russia have moved significant air assets into closer proximity to each other,” according to Dangerous Brinkmanship, a report issued in November by the European Leadership Network.
“It is also worrying that military deployments and exercises along the joint NATO-Russia border proceed on what appears to be a self-perpetuating cycle of action-reaction.”

When I saw that CERN article today the first thing I thought was they could use whatever they are doing there to explain the disappearance of millions and millions of people. They could say we went into the other dimension. Far fetched but as crazy as things are right now, you just never know!
ReplyDeleteSeptember is the anniversary of the shemitah , world financial collapse is immiment, there will be a huge earth quake soon , just before the last blood moon , then very soon , less than a year or there abouts , we will have ww3
ReplyDeleteWow! Elisabeth, that hadn't even crossed my mind! But awesome call on that as a possibility :)
ReplyDeleteMark, yep, war is coming for sure. I really really hope we are out of here prior to that. Could you explain your time line a little more? I can feel the big quake building. Actually I think there are going to be many quakes of large magnitude very soon.
The word SHEMITAH refers to sabbath year observed in ancient Israel, when all working of the land ceased, the land rested. This took place every seventh year. On the last day of that year, all debts were wiped away, all credit was nullified, the financial accounts of the nation were, in effect, wiped clean." Thanks mark
ReplyDeleteHow many times Does the crow need to scream, even then u do not hear.please!!!!!
ReplyDeleteRevelation 6:12 ! I do get things from the Lord , but this is not one of them , it's just my biblical thoughts , the last blood moon is next month , earthquakes are on the increase , I think there will be a big one in America very soon , it's just a feeling , that's all , I have not received this , however I do know that the financial collapse is very soon and the world war will follow after , lots of prophets and watchman are getting the same thing ,
ReplyDeleteSeptember is a BIG MARKER MONTH TO WHERE WE ARE AT CONCERNING THE ENDTIMES LEADING TO CHRISTS RETURN , I've said this before and I will say it again , this is the last generation , we are looking down the barrel of the soon tribulation / great tribulation and September is a marker month for the time scale we are on , God bless
ReplyDeleteSigh...so many false teachings, attempted date settings, attempted replacement theology with the US as Israel,WW3? what? so much that tickles folks ears. Over 25years ago in studying Bible Prophecy with Brother Hal and many others, it was sadly obvious the US was not going to be a world leader. Financial collapse, huge natural disaster, the current coward-in-chief? All of these could be the reason, but regardless, the US is not significant at all in Bible Prophecy of these Last Days as God would have it.It is His Plan. We know that the US is basically the only ally of Israel, and will not be there for Israel in the soon to come Isaiah 17 war. The US is NOT Israel, in ANY form what so ever, and Gods Covenants are with Israel, not the US. We as His Church are not subject to His Judgement whatsoever.
ReplyDeleteTo quote Brother Jack Kinsella :
"God didn’t judge Noah for the sins of his neighbors. Neither did He judge Lot for the sins of his neighbors. And since the Church is clothed in the righteousness of Christ, it follows that He will not judge the Church for the sins of a Christ-rejecting world."
As I read Johnathan Cahn I do not see any date setting . He is making observations on past occurrences that may predict future events . With so much already in place to occur in September it certainly has many watchers on high alert! I know the rapture is imminent but I' ll be on extra high alert this September! Maranatha !
ReplyDeletePeter - you may have missed my comment - but at some point I'l highlight the basic scriptures on a pre-trib rapture and open it up for discussion but I'm not in the mood to moderate an ongoing debate in the comments section of various articles - I don't have the time right now.
ReplyDeleteThere was no talking snake in the garden of Eden either , but millions of Christians take that literal , not realising the true interpretation , a great sermon to watch on this is one by pastor Charles Lawson called confrontations of satan ! Another good one by him that CLEARLY SHOWS US THAT WW3 is the entrance ramp for the anti Christ , is called war and hell coming , or ww3 conspiracy , he perfectly lines it all up with scripture ! Is about the only pastor I know who truly is aware of what's really going on in the world and bible prophescy , a lot sadly study scripture for years , are totally oblivious of what's really going on in the world and why , and just can't line things up ,
ReplyDeleteI've absolutely lost count on the books ive read about the end times , not one has had it spot on apart from one book , you can only get it on kindle , and it's the one I mentioned earlier , THE RISE OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER BY MICHAEL THOMAS HAYS , it's a must must read for EVERY CHRISTIAN ON THIS PLANET , if you want to know what bible prophescy is really all about and what it ALL POINTS TO , then this bloke has nailed it , and when you've read it , your eyes will be truly opened
ReplyDeleteHave to respectfully disagree with you Brother WV :) John C is a false teacher on so many levels, it will take way too much time to address. He is predicting dates, and as many of these people do, they leave themselves wiggle room for when things dont happen as they strongly suggest on specific dates as has been pointed out by others debunking this stuff. Sewing confusion and fear of "judgement", just fear in general, based on "mysteries" and replacing Israel with the US for example,is not of God. Without question, based on Scripture, we will know the "season", we can see it pretty clearly without a book or a video written by men who are fallible.Without question the Rapture is imminent regardless of what any mere man on earth says. With so much false teachings these days just as Jesus said would be, we know that Gods Word, the Bible, is our only true source.
ReplyDeleteMP - "No talking snake in the garden of Eden"? Forgive me, but Gods Word says that there was. Perhaps you misunderstand the nature of satan, as he is a spiritual being that can enter into both human and animal alike. Gods Word makes it very clear that it was a "literal" snake as God speaks directly to satan who posses the serpent/snake in
ReplyDeleteGenesis 3:14.
14 So the Lord God said to the serpent:“Because you have done this,
You are cursed more than all cattle,And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you shall go,And you shall eat dust All the days of your life.
Regarding C Lawson, he is speaking of the 4 Horsemen, one being of war. He says nothing of WW3, but of war during the Trib. He was in error stating "as Christ goes up, satan comes down", as satan was already on earth when Jesus was here. Jesus saw satans fall from Heaven while Jesus was in Heaven, not from a place of being on earth. CL also stated "the next war is gonna wipe man from the earth" in describing the Horsemen of war, yet he follows that with the next horseman being famine. Very confusing,as if everyone is supposedly "wiped out" then there is no one left suffer through the famine, or Trib for that matter, and we know from His Word that is untrue. There are going to be people goring through the Trib. Yes, without question, many "Christians" are blind to the days in which we are living, and at the same time, many are confused with His Word regarding Bible Prophecy. We are to test everything, that is our charge from Him in these Last Days..
1 Thessalonians 5:21
21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.
MP- Forgive me again, but there is ONLY one Book and that is the Bible that is "spot on", not some book on "kindle". The Bible is a "must read" for everyone, and we had all better know His Word very well, not relying on books that men write, or the latest YouTube video. If the Internet should suddenly disappear, no access, what are folks going to do? We need to have His Word written in our hearts :) we need to know it. The Bible with the assistance of the Holy Spirit, is all we need to know Bible Prophecy. We dont need to buy someones latest book for that, He gives it to us freely. Stunningly, Im not sure if you realized what you are saying when you said "and when you've read it,your eyes will be truly opened". Yike! Does that not sound familiar to you at all??? Whew, the "opened eyes" temptation of knowledge goes way back...
ReplyDeleteGenesis 3:4-5
4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
I dont think johnathan c has been date setting. In fact in the most recent video he put out he was warning against such. He has stated that the month of sept in the past has been pivitol and he has stated that yhe year of shemitah is coming this sept but inly in terms if historical significance. I havent seen him pin down any future dates. As a scientist this perspective us interesting and worthy of watching but nothing more than that. It is undeniable that sept will be interesting for a variety of different reasons
ReplyDeleteNo problem Mrs. C! No one gets everything right. I very well could be incorrect regarding Cahn. The HS spirit is usually screaming at me regarding false teachers and I'm not getting that with him.
ReplyDeleteMore importantly to me our associate head Pastor who is now semi-retired knows Cahn and speaks highly of him. Our Pastor who is now in his 80's was back home visiting in NJ where he is originally from. Here is a true story about my Pastor friend.
One day he was finally asked to leave the Psych-hospital here in our town because the second he entered the hospital patients immediately became agitated and some uncontrollable even though they were unaware of his presence. He is a godly man full of the Holy Spirit. Our spiritual enemy was very aware he was there and I believe stirred up the patients the moment he arrived. The strong demonic activity was reacting to a holy spirit filled man in my opinion. All that to say I highly trust and value his opinion. With that said I know even my Pastor friend can be wrong.
I appreciate your caution and discernment. It is important to weed out false teaching but with us being so near the rapture this seems to be a perfect fit. The judgment he sees coming could very well be taking place during the tribulation and not during the church age. With the wide publicity of his books the Lord may be using them for those left behind? Blessings to you and Mr. C!
Understood Brother WV :) God does not pour out His Judgement on His Church, not a one of us. As said before, to quote Brother Jack Kinsella :
ReplyDelete"God didn’t judge Noah for the sins of his neighbors. Neither did He judge Lot for the sins of his neighbors. And since the Church is clothed in the righteousness of Christ, it follows that He will not judge the Church for the sins of a Christ-rejecting world."
God Bless and keep you too Brother :)
Wait, did you say God doesn't judge his church? What makes you think that? Of course he will. He judges his people so he does not have to pour out his wrath on us.
ReplyDeletePeter - What? I said God does not pour out His Judgement on His Church, not one of us. Why on earth would you think that He would? He sent His only Son for us, we are the Bride of Christ, and you believe God the Father wants to turn His Judgement on us? The ones His Precious Son went to the Cross for? The ones who He shed His Holy Blood for? The ones who He paid our sin debt in full for? Not! God is a Just and Loving Father, who by His Grace, through Faith in His Son, we have been Saved. We are clothed in the righteousness of Jesus, and yet you seem to believe God has some reason to judge us continually so we He wont have to really let us have it with His Wrath? You believe what Jesus did wasnt enough in Gods Eyes? Did God execute Judgement on Noah, on Lot? No, because they were righteous in His Eyes, AND He REMOVED them before He delivered His Wrath/Judgement, as will we the Church be removed also.Again I quote JK as said so well "The Church, like Noah and Lot, have found grace in the eyes of the Lord and we are clothed in the imputed righteousness of Christ. God views the imputed righteousness of Christ as being no different than that of Noah or Lot. (Romans 3:22)"
ReplyDeleteNoah and Lot were saved from the wrath of God. We also will be saved from the wrath of God. I agree with you about that. I do think the Lord can and does judge nations, and they could be nations full of lukewarm or disobedient Christians. We know God judged Israel many times. Why are we immune from that?
ReplyDeleteFor starters - Jesus already took God's wrath when He was on the cross....We will not have to experience God's wrath, as the Bride of Christ, as the Church Saints. Its a different dispensation..Once you believe in Jesus, then you will NEVER have to face God's wrath.
ReplyDeleteHow do you distinguish a lukewarm Christian or a "disobedient" Christian from a "non-disobedient" Christian?
When did you stop committing sins? Or - are you qualifying sins? Perhaps your sins aren't as bad as other people's sins? Did you ever go through a lukewarm period in your walk with Christ? I know I did, in my 20's...was I not saved in that era? I came to Christ at the age of 12....So was I not saved in my 20's when you would have considered me as "lukewarm" because I wasn't attending Church or bible-studies? Then did I become "re-saved" years later when I started going back to church and bible-studies?
Whew - good thing I didn't die in my 20's huh?
This is not about 'losing your salvation'.
ReplyDelete1 Peter 4:12-19 makes it clear.
12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.
13 But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.
14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler.
16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.
17 For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
18 And "If the righteous is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?"
19 Therefore let those who suffer according to God's will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good.
The difference between trials and wrath is very important.
So you are saying that "lukewarm" Christians will face God's wrath? So Jesus didn't die for the "lukewarm"?
