Top EU Diplomat Leads To Mideast To Reboot Peace Talks, Palestinians Fume Over Netanyahu's 'United Jerusalem' Statement

Top EU Diplomat Heads To Mideast To Reboot Peace Talks

[Anytime the EU gets more involved in Israeli affairs, particularly the so-called 'peace talks' is of great interest]

The European Union’s top diplomat said Monday that she’s going to the Mideast to try to revive the moribund peace process, and to challenge Israel and the Palestinians to share their ideas on how to break the deadlock.

Federica Mogherini, the EU’s high representative for foreign affairs, said, “I believe that one thing is clear to everybody in the region, that the status quo is not an option.”

“My very early visit has a political meaning,” Mogherini told a press conference, according to a Reuters report. She took over as the head of EU foreign policy last November, taking over for Catherine Ashton.

Mogherini was set to meet with both Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas during her two-day visit.

Some European leaders were alarmed by a remark by Netanyahu before the March 17 elections that there would be no Palestinian state while he’s premier.
Mogherini said her trip this Wednesday and Thursday will stress that the EU is “ready to play a major role in relaunching the peace process,” but with an end result that includes Palestinian statehood.

Palestinian officials from across the political spectrum expressed outrage on Monday over a statement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Jerusalem will not be divided under any political outcome.

“There shall never be peace or stability in the Middle East without East Jerusalem as the capital of the Palestinian state,” Nabil Abu Rudeineh, a spokesman for PA President Mahmoud Abbas, told the official Palestinian news agency Wafa. “This is a clear indication that the coming stage will be one of massive political confrontation … we will resort to all international fora to put an end to this destructive policy.”

Speaking at an official Jerusalem Day ceremony at Ammunition Hill on Sunday, commemorating the 48th anniversary of the Israeli capture of East Jerusalem from Jordan in the Six Day War, Netanyahu vowed that “Jerusalem won’t become once again a wounded and bisected city. We will forever keep Jerusalem united under Israeli sovereignty.”

“On this special day it is clear to us that a divided Jerusalem is a memory. The future belongs to the complete Jerusalem that shall never again be divided,” he said.

From Gaza, Hamas joined the Palestinian Authority in criticizing the Prime Minister’s statements, only to bash its stated agenda of diplomatic negotiations.

“Talk of negotiations with the occupation is nothing but a waste of time,” said Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri in a press statement Monday. “The Oslo group should acknowledge the failure of this option and turn to the national consensus surrounding a program of resistance and national principles.”

You know what happened in Garland, Texas. Two jihadists wanted to replicate and ramp up what happened in Paris, by murdering scores of patriotic Americans who were standing in defense of free speech. They were met with an utterly authentic American response. Soon after that, in the wake of our Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest, ISIS issued a death threat against me. They called me khanzeer – pig – which is the word Muhammad used of his victims before he slaughtered Jews.
They threatened to murder also anyone associated with me, anyone who defends me, and anyone who supports our work. In other words, they’ve declared war against America. Since then, the media have been waging jihad against the defenders of freedom, primarily me, but that’s only a device they are using to destroy anyone who speaks against the Shariah and jihad. The media are aligned with the jihad force. They’re cheering and agitating for my demise – some news outlets have even asked me for my posthumous remarks. They have been viciously attacking Robert Spencer and me, blaming us for the attack on us.

We did the right thing.

The jihadists are not going to win. We are not going to let them win. If we had responsible media, they would report on the positive developments in light of this terrorist attack: The jihadists were killed. By drawing them out, we exposed their network, without getting anyone killed. The FBI is now going after sources. They are gleaning intel from their computers as we speak. We smoked out a terror structure. The FBI has put more American terror suspects under constant surveillance following the deadly attack. Every city across the U.S. has “subjects of concern” under heightened scrutiny, and the military is taking the threat seriously enough to raise the threat level to bravo – the highest level since Sept. 11. The terror network that hit us has now expanded to include roots in Minneapolis.

People say we “provoked” the jihadis. But it has since come out that they were already looking for targets to hit. If they hadn’t hit us, they would have hit a much less protected target, as did the jihadist Amedy Coulibaly in the Hyper Cacher kosher supermarket in Paris, and the jihadist Man Haron Monis in the Lindt Chocolat Cafe in Sydney, Australia. The jihadis in Garland weren’t provoked by us – they are already provoked. Our event just smoked them out. If we had not had such extensive security, many more people would have died – either at our event or somewhere else. Instead, the only dead were two jihadis, and a jihad network is exposed.

All that from one little art exhibit.
With just one small, relatively obscure presentation, America has been made aware that the threat is here. America has been made aware of the virulence of the war on free speech. Obama cannot ignore and excuse terrorism that is committed in the name of Islam, and we exposed the quislings and apologists for jihad terror among the political, cultural and media elites.
As divisive and ugly as the media have been toward the victims of the Garland jihad shooting, the country is having a much-needed conversation about the quiet application of Islamic law (Shariah) in this country. The prohibition of depictions of Muhammad is Islamic law. (Blasphemy is punished by death under the Shariah.) The American people decide whether they will abandon the founding principle of this great nation, not the corrupt, cowardly elites.
We are not a Muslim country under the Shariah. But the left and the RINOs are behaving as though we were. We are free, and the majority of Americans mean to stay free – the elites, on the other hand, have other plans for us.
Strike a blow for freedom. Our security costs are now astronomical. Don’t allow jihad killers to force free Americans into submission. Send your tax-deductible donation via Paypal to americanfreedomdefense@aol.com – go here.

Government schools are warring on Christianity and real education, warns an education expert and one of America’s most influential Christian authors.
Pastor Carl Gallups and educator and author Alex Newman charge there is a deliberate and unified agenda to dumb down U.S. school children and remove Christianity from schools and public life. And both of them place most of the blame at the feet of John Dewey, the godfather of America’s progressive education system.

Newman believes the education bureaucrats controlling government schools are deliberately harming both the hearts and minds of American children.

“It is absolutely clear at this point that the militant secular agenda and the Big Government agenda are actually one and the same,” he told WND. “Real Christians have no need for big government. They generally have strong family, work ethic, community, and so on, in addition to high moral standards that should preclude bad behavior.”
Newman added, “But those promoting big government’s so-called solutions understand that a moral people with supreme allegiance to God are infinitely harder to oppress and control with government. Plus, the utopians pushing socialism and secularism know that as long as Americans are loyal to God above everything else, government will never be able to occupy that coveted place in people’s hearts, minds and souls.”

Newman, co-author with Samuel Blumenfeld of “Crimes of the Educators: How Utopians Are Using Government Schools to Destroy America’s Children,” believes religious schools are being targeted for destruction precisely because they are superior to government schools when it comes to education.
“Independent Christian schools are so much better than government schools, generally speaking, that they don’t even belong in the same category,” he said. “Religious schools, for the most part, are teaching children to read using phonics – the only legitimate way – while government schools are mostly using the quackery known as the ‘whole word’ method to dumb down children. In short, government schools are designed to dumb down students, while Christian schools are designed to educate them.”
Gallups, also a talk-show host and author, also pins the blame squarely on Dewey, whom he calls the founder of the modern American educational system. The author of “Final Warning: Understanding the Trumpet Days of Revelation” told WND, “It’s well documented Dewey was a socialist. He plotted a deliberate strategy to dumb down the American public.”

The key to this effort, observed Gallups, was removing God and the study of Scripture from the classroom.
“The early school system was predicted on the belief that literacy was very important, not just to understand ideas but also so that people could read, interpret, and apply the Word of God,” he said. “Dewey and his cadre that agreed with him set out to destroy that.”

Newman concurs and points out Dewey was a dedicated secularist and humanist who signed the first “Humanist Manifesto” in 1933, which had as its goal to “establish such a religion” as could be a “synthesizing and dynamic force for today … shaped for the needs of the age.” As part of that effort, Dewey wanted humanism and secular evolution taught in all schools. Newman contrasts this view of education with the earlier view of American schooling, which placed Scripture firmly at the center.

Newman added, “Dewey set out with a deliberate agenda to undermine the Christian foundations of American society, even going to the Soviet Union to study their success in mass producing collectivists and atheists. He wanted to replicate that here, and he told us why in his writings: To fundamentally transform America from a constitutional republic with individual rights and free markets based on biblical values into a collectivist utopia with no private property.

“He knew that to accomplish that, he would have to destroy the both the literacy and the rock-solid faith of the American people. That was his agenda, and this is no secret – he told us so in his writings.”

  1. Just a fair warning to everyone reading this blog. I am helping with the disposal of dead birds infected from the bird flu. The USDA in charge of the two sites I am working at do more harm than good. The process is painstakingly slow. The amount of money waisted is rediculous. My warning is this: IN AN EMERGENCY THE GOVERNMENT WILL FAIL YOU! Prepare yourself and stand firm with Christ.
