In The News: More 'Road Paving' Towards The Tribulation

In the first two articles we see - once again - how the road to the Tribulation is being paved. With every passing day, we can see how the easy we are making it for the antichrist to appear and take his reign of power. Most of the hard work towards a totalitarian world is already being done:

U.S. Has Entered A Post-Constitutional Era

Pulitzer prize winning reporter Chris Hedges – along with journalist Naomi Wolf, Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg, activist Tangerine Bolen and others – sued the government to join the NDAA’s allowance of the indefinite detention of Americans.
The trial judge in the case asked the government attorneys 5 times whether journalists like Hedges could be indefinitely detained simply for interviewing and then writing about bad guys.
The government refused to promise that journalists like Hedges won’t be thrown in a dungeon for the rest of their lives without any right to talk to a judge.
The trial judge ruled that the indefinite detention bill was unconstitutional, holding:

This Court rejects the government’s suggestion that American citizens can be placed in military detention indefinitely, for acts they could not predict might subject them to detention

But the court of appeal overturned that decision, based upon the assumption that limited the NDAA to non-U.S. citizens:

The court of appeal ignored the fact that the co-sponsors of the indefinite detention law said it does apply to American citizens, and that top legal scholars agree.
Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal of the case, thus blessing and letting stand the indefinite detention law stand unchanged.
The court of appeal’s Orwellian reasoning may sound – at first blush – like it might be a good thing. After all, the court said there’s no indication that the indefinite detention provision will be applied against U.S. citizens.
However, by refusing to strike down the law and insist that any future laws explicitly exempt U.S. citizens, it leaves discretion in the hands of the executive branch.
The effect of the decision will be to allow the U.S. government to kidnap and indefinitely detain U.S. citizens who protest or dissent against the government … and the courts will never hear any legal challenge from the prisoners. The detainee will not get to say:

The courts said the indefinite detention law isn’t written to apply to U.S. citizens, so you have to let me go!

After all, prisoners can be held under the indefinite detention bill without trial, without being allowed to present evidence or hearing the evidence against them, without letting the citizen consult with a lawyer, and without even charging the citizen with any crime.
So – if you’re thrown into a hole somewhere – no one will even hear your story.

If [the indefinite detention law] stands it will mean, as [the trial judge] pointed out in her 112-page opinion, that whole categories of Americans—and here you can assume dissidents and activists—will be subject to seizure by the military and indefinite and secret detention.

No matter what the Obama administration may say to the contrary, actions speak louder than words, and history shows that the U.S. government is not averse to locking up its own citizens for its own purposes. What the NDAA does is open the door for the government to detain as a threat to national security anyone viewed as a troublemaker. According to government guidelines for identifying domestic extremists—a word used interchangeably with terrorists, that technically applies to anyone exercising their First Amendment rights in order to criticize the government.

As does constitutional attorney William Olson:

The personal freedoms of Americans are now in tatters following the refusal of the U.S. Supreme Court to hear an appeal to knock down the National Defense Authorization Act, constitutional and election law attorney William Olson says.

“This is a rather remarkable shredding of the Bill of Rights,”…. he explained that the language of the act is so “loose,” that anybody can be picked up for any reason.

“The president of the United States … [has] this power to detain indefinitely without charges, without trial, without an arrest warrant, without a grand jury, just to be able to hold someone who they think might be a threat of some sort,” Olson said.

Andrew Napolitano points out that Obama’s claim that he can indefinitely detain prisoners even after they are acquitted of their crimes is a power that even Hitler and Stalin didn’t claim.

Access to justice is already being severely curtailed in America. Even when the prisoner is afforded a trial, it is becoming more and more common for the government to prosecute cases based upon “secret evidence” that they don’t show to the defendant, his lawyer … or sometimes even the judge hearing the case. The government uses “secret evidence” to spy on Americans, prosecute leaking orterrorism charges (even against U.S. soldiers) and even toassassinate people. And see this and thisSecret witnessesare being used in some cases. And sometimes lawyers arenot even allowed to read their own briefs. Indeed, even thelaws themselves are now starting to be kept secret.
But prisoners under the indefinite detention bill have it much worse: they don’t get any trial or opportunity to talk to a judge, any access to a lawyer … or perhaps anyinformation about what they’re even accused of doing or why they were nabbed in the first place.

Virtually everything that you do is being watched.  Do you drive a car?  Do you watch television?  Do you use a cell phone?  As you do any of those things, information about you is being recorded and tracked.  We live at a time when personal privacy is dying.  And it is not just governments that are doing this.  In fact, sometimes private companies are the biggest offenders.  It turns out that gathering information about all of us is very, very profitable.  And both government entities and private companies are going to continue to push the envelope when it comes to high tech surveillance until people start objecting to what they are trying to do.  If we continue down the path that we are currently on, it is inevitable that we will end up living in an extremely restrictive “Big Brother” police state where basically everything that we do is very closely watched, monitored, tracked and controlled.  And such a day may be much closer than you think.  The following are 10 examples of how “Big Brother” is steadily creeping into our daily lives…

For even more examples like this, please see my previous article entitled “19 Signs That America Is Being Systematically Transformed Into A Giant Surveillance Grid“.
Sadly, most Americans are totally oblivious to all of this.
Most Americans are so addicted to entertainment and to their electronic devices that they have no idea what is going on in the real world.
I came across the following video entitled “Look Up” on YouTube earlier today.  I think that it does a great job of showing what our obsession with our electronic devices is doing to us.  Watch it for yourself and see what you think…

North Korea has developed nuclear weapons capable of being launched on its ballistic missile forces, according to a new report by a defense analyst.
The Obama administration is seeking to hide the fact that North Korea possesses nuclear missile warheads, according to a report by Mark Schneider, a former Pentagon strategic analyst and director for forces policy at the office of the secretary of defense. Schneider’s statement came in a report published April 28 in the journal Comparative Strategy.

According to the 16-page report, “The North Korean Nuclear Threat to the United States,” the Defense Intelligence Agency stated in an unclassified assessment made public a year ago that “DIA assesses with moderate confidence the North [Korean government] currently has nuclear weapons capable of delivery by ballistic missiles.”
“This is disturbing news,” the report says. “The North Korean regime is one of the most fanatic, paranoid, and militaristic dictatorships on the planet. … While North Korea has long made occasional nuclear attack threats, the scope, magnitude, and frequency of these threats have vastly increased in 2013.”
North Korea has in the recent months issued provocative threats to carry out nuclear strikes on U.S. cities and against American allies.
According to the report, the Obama administration has sought to hide the alarming intelligence because it undermines efforts to eliminate nuclear weapons.
Administration spokesmen sought to “walk back” the unwelcome intelligence of nuclear missile warheads with officials asserting that the nuclear strike capability is limited or untested.

However, the report states that despite the denials, “there is every reason to believe that the DIA estimate is accurate.”
Disclosure of the DIA intelligence coincides with the unusual resignations this week of DIA Director Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who abruptly announced Wednesday he is stepping down as the Pentagon’s top intelligence official. Flynn’s deputy, David Shedd, also resigned as a result of disputes within the Pentagon and intelligence agencies.

Iranian and Chinese defense ministers held high-level talks Monday in a bid to expand the military relationship between Tehran and Beijing, according to reports in China and Iran’s state-run media organs.
Iranian Defense Minister Hussein Dehghan met with his Chinese counterpart, Chang Wanquan, in Beijing on Monday to increase “cooperation between the two countries in military and defensive fields,” according to Iran’s state-run Fars News Agency.

Dehghan emphasized the mutual benefits of increased “military cooperation” between Beijing and Tehran in public comments and stated that the two militaries could work at “disarming the Zionist regime of its nuclear arsenals.”

Closer ties between Iran and China could also complicate Western efforts to scale back Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
As a member of the P5+1 negotiating team, China could potentially stand in the way of efforts to pressure Tehran into making concrete concessions on the nuclear front.
The relationship could also be a boon for the Iranian military, which has been building more advanced drones, missiles, and warships.
Iranian ships have already been practicing how to destroy U.S. warships, according to top Iranian military figures.
“That China would embrace Iran is no surprise,” said former Pentagon adviser Michael Rubin. “What worries me is the big picture: China is building a naval base in Pakistan, cementing ties with Iran, building business in Iraq, and also courting Turkey. It’s creating an anti-American alliance through the heart of Asia and the Middle East.”

The Russian Defense Ministry is planning to deploy additional forces in Crimea as part of beefing up the Black Sea fleet under a $2.5 billion program. The need for new deployment emerged after the formerly Ukrainian peninsula joined Russia.
“Before year’s end we will form new units of air defense and marine troops at the sites of our fleet’s deployment,” Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said Tuesday. “The fleet will receive new submarines and surface ships of new generation this year. This requires our attention.”
The minister stressed that the Navy beef-up program for the Black Sea fleet was extended due to Crimea, the fleet’s base, becoming part of Russia in March. The ministry plans to spend more than $2.4 billion for the purpose by 2020.
The announcement of deployment plans comes after Russia voiced concerns of the build-up of NATO forces in Eastern Europe and the Black Sea. The alliance deployed aircraft and warships as well as ground troops, saying it was needed to instill confidence in its members like Poland, Romania and the Baltic states.

  1. I'm having a first hand experience lately of being under daily surveillance by a camera mounted on my neighbor's door, pointed at mine, across the hall in my apartment building. He also has 2 other cameras watching both front & back doors of everyone coming & going. I've complained at least 3x to the mgmt. I don't want his camera pointed at my door! The manager keeps saying she agrees with me, but has not taken any action to tell the neighbor to remove it. I'm assuming this guy thinks he's watching the mailboxes to the right of my door, also. But you can imagine how this creeps me out, cuz they see when I come in/with whom, & when. It's a couple living there & they have warning on their windows they have guns. The bldg. mgr. assures me they are not doing anything illegal, having entered their apt. for maintenance. But I am still under surveillance, no way around it! I can't move til end of year, but rent is higher everywhere else close to my son's school. Tell me... what would YOU do??

  2. Scott, this coming in on several sources tonight (Tues).

I really wish they'd pick a different word to describe Kerry's mindset than the word "genesis."

"But the genesis for this idea may have actually come from the U.S. State Department. As WND reported last December, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry envisions the holy sites in Jerusalem being under international control…"

Will the Kerry wonders never cease?

  3. Dear Christine,

This sounds very uncomfortable. I am thinking of the broader truth though. HIs eye is on the sparrow..
You have always been under constant surveillance from our Heavenly Father. The enemy has to run back and for the over the earth. If fear is motivating these neighbors consider taking cookies and telling them that this makes you feel uncomfortable. listen to them and pray for them. Perfect love cast out fear and it is no accident that the Lord has you across the hall from them.
If He does not want to there He will show you a way out but I'd like to be reminded that He is in me is greater than he who is in the world.
The Lord also gives us a push when there is danger to avoid so that may be in play too.
It is they who are not safe from the light in you though not the other way around.
Love in Jesus, Just my 2 cents..

  4. sorry for typos: Perfect love casts out fear and it is no accident that the Lord has you across the hall from them.
If He does not want you to be there He will show you a way out but I'd like to be reminded that He WHO is in me is greater than he who is in the world. I thought you might want to be reminded too.

  5. Thank you, Waterer! The woman who lives in that apartment with the camera gives off a very tense vibe- she looks like she is just waiting for me to "start something" & I am not a confrontational person. I am keeping low & waiting on the Lord to guide my steps.... :)
