The IDF deployed an Iron Dome anti-rocket battery near Ashkelon on Monday, media reports said.
An IDF spokeswoman said she could not confirm the location of the air defense battery, but said that an Iron Dome “is deployed in the South in line with operational needs and security evaluations.”
Japan's Defense Ministry has deployed surface-to-air interceptor missiles at its premises in central Tokyo to prepare for a possible missile launch by North Korea.
The measure is part of Japan's Self Defense Force contingency preparations. However, details of the plan are being kept confidential for security reasons.
Early on Tuesday, a Patriot Advanced Capability-3 missile interceptor unit was carried into the ministry's complex.
Two PAC3 missile-defense launchers were stationed in an exercise area with their muzzles facing northwest of Tokyo toward the Korean Peninsula.
The deployment follows a government order to be ready to shoot down any missile that threatens Japan.
Other PAC3 units are deployed at Air Self-Defense Force sites across Japan.
The Maritime Self-Defense Force has dispatched 2 Aegis-equipped destroyers to the Sea of Japan. The vessels possess advanced radar systems and SM3 interceptors to track and stop missiles

The US Navy has developed a new anti-drone laser system, called the Laser Weapon System (LaWS), which is designed to counter unmanned aerial vehicles and attack methods similar to those in use by Iran’s navy, Navy officials revealed this week.
The system is to be deployed in the Persian Gulf on the USS Ponce for much of 2014 in what a Navy official called an “operational demonstration,” according to a Monday Wired article.
The LaWs was successfully tested in 2012 off the coast of California, where the laser was able to shoot down UAVs and unmanned boats with its beam, as shown in the following video, which was released by the US Navy on Monday.
The IDf deployed two Iron Dome batteries in southern Israel on Monday in response to Sunday’s rocket fire from Gaza.
The batteries were stationed in the Sha’ar Hanegev region and near Ashkelon. An additional anti-missile system was stationed in the far-southern city of Eilat last week. The army had placed the batteries in other parts of the country, but deployed them back to the Gaza region anticipating additional rocket fire in coming days.
On Sunday, Gazan terrorists fired three missiles at Israel, as the country was marking Holocaust Remembrance Day. One rocket hit an open area in the Sha’ar Hanegev region and two landed inside the Strip.
A spokesperson for the military’s Coordinator of Government Activity in the Territories, which administers the crossing between Israel and the Palestinian enclave, said the Kerem Shalom crossing would be completely shut, and the Erez crossing would be open to humanitarian cargo only, in response to the fire. A third gateway, the Karni crossing, would not be affected.
I would argue that China has a larger force than we do, but I’ll let that slide for now. The Korean People’s Army includes five branches of service: ground force, navy, air force, special operations and strategic missile force. Its military is huge with over one million on active duty. Combined with their staggering reserve force of over eight million, it has the largest military in the world. So, when the NoKo turkeys make nuclear threats, show a little respect. They just might mean it. They truly hate America and blame her for all their ills. And although South Korea is our ally, we are widely hated there as well by many of the people we are protecting. Sounds a lot like the Middle East.
When all of this started to blow up, Hagel got on the phone with China to beg them to get North Korea to back off. What an idiot. That’s like going to Hitler to ask for the Muslims to back off.
North Korea is a proxy state forChina. Nothing happens there without their tacit consent. All the theater of evacuating embassies in North Korea and the Chinese refusing to go, is just that… theater.
The Chinese are in control. As an added bonus, I suspect Iran is paying the NoKos to stir up crap so they can finish their nuclear development and Russia is in the mix too. Things are not as they appear. We are being set up for a worldwide conflict that will crash all economies and reset the geo-political playing field, including the U.S. You are watching it playing out right in front of your eyes — at least you’ll be watching it till the EMPs fly.
We have deployed a spy plane to Japan for surveillance. The Global Hawk will be stationed at the U.S. airbase in Misawa, northern Japan, in the first ever deployment of the aircraft in the country. We have sent nuclear capable B-2 and B-52 bombers and stealth F-22 fighters as well. In addition, the U.S. said last week that two of the Navy’s missile-defense ships were moved closer to the Korean Peninsula and a land-based missile-defense system is being deployed to the Pacific territory of Guam. But before you applaud all this, this firepower, from what I understand, is parked. More military propaganda and not a real deterrent. From Zero Hedge, more muscle is secretly being moved to the area:
Cliff Kincaid at America’s Survival has this to say:
Red China is preparing for war, backing a North Korean strike on South Korea and the U.S.A left-winger by the name of Hyun Lee says, “What has gone underreported in U.S. media is China’s readiness posture. China has placed its military on high alert in the event of an outbreak of war on the Korean peninsula. In a move reminiscent of its entry into the Korean War, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army has increased troop presence, tanks, armored personnel carriers, and air patrols along its border with North Korea. In a show of support for North Korea, China has been holding live-firing naval exercises in the West Sea, a site of recurring tensions between the two Koreas.”This leftist thinks the U.S has been provocative, but the truth is that Communists are Communists. And under Obama we are unprepared for war. Could Obama be setting South Korea up for obliteration from a nuclear attack from the North? And what if North Korea does have a nuclear weapon that can hit the U.S.?
Whether all this is bluster or not, can we take that chance? We shouldn’t. It’s time for preemptive action to protect the U.S.’ interests and citizens. Damn it, act like a real super power and believe insane dictators when they threaten nuclear war! Right now, we’re dancing the NoKo-a-NoGo. Let’s just hope that soon we aren’t dancing under the light of a nuclear blast.
With the nuclear crisis intensifying in the Pacific, and talks with Iran again going nowhere, senior Israeli officials are increasingly concerned the world powers are not committed to taking decisive action to neutralizing Iran’s nuclear threat before it’s too late. Now a senior Israeli Cabinet official is saying publicly and on the record that a final deadline for Iran should be measured in weeks, not months. Could such a warning mean that Prime Minister Netanyahu and his inner circle are nearing a decision on military action?
“Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz called on world powers on Sunday to set a deadline for military action of weeks to persuade Iran to halt its nuclear enrichment program after talks ended without progress at the weekend,” Reuters reports. “World powers and Iran failed again to end a deadlock in the decade-old dispute over Tehran’s nuclear program during the meeting in Kazakhstan, prolonging a standoff that could yet spiral into a new Middle East war.”
“Sanctions are not enough and the talks are not enough,” Steinitz said. “The time has come to place before the Iranians a military threat or a form of red line, an unequivocal red line by the entire world, by the United States and the West…in order to get results.”
“Steinitz, a close confidant of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, told Army Radio action should be taken within ‘a few weeks, a month’ if Iran did not stop enriching uranium, although he did not elaborate,” Reuters noted.
Obama had long been an admirer of the Saudi peace plan. Obama had told Abbas during his first term that Israel would be crazy not to accept it. He’s talked it up now and again… andKerry is reportedly pushing the plan now.
Israeli and Palestinian officials confirmed to McClatchy that President Barack Obama raised the possibility of using the Arab Peace Initiative, as the plan was known, as a framework for an agreement when he was in the region last month.
“It was raised directly by Obama during his visit and during his closed-door discussion with the Palestinian leadership,” said a senior Palestinian official directly involved in the talks. “It was made clear to the Palestinian leadership that this would be the new direction of U.S. diplomacy in the region.”
The trouble with the Saudi Peace Plan is that it’s more like a suicide plan involving Israel going back to indefensible 1948 borders, dividing up Jerusalem and accepting millions of Muslim “refugees”. In exchange the Arab nations, though obviously not Iran or Syria, would consider the conflict over and open diplomatic and commercial relations with Israel.
A nine mile wide country that can easily be cut in half is always going to be a tempting target. And that target will trump any peace agreements.
Korean tensions again shot up Tuesday, April 9, with Pyongyang’s warning of a ballistic missile firing Wednesday, April 10 toward the Pacific and advice to foreigners in the South to evacuate: “We do not wish harm on foreigners in the South should there be a war,” said the statement.
Last week, foreign embassies were informed that North Korea would not guarantee the safety of their staffs after April 10.
Japan has deployed Patriot missile interceptors around its defense ministry headquarters in Tokyo and other key facilities including Okinawa, in the wake of North Korea’s move last week of two intermediate- missiles to its eastern coast, placing Japan, South Korea and the US bases at Guam within range.

The news reported today is not good for the old blood pressure. Wow! Two nut jobs with nuclear bombs is not good. Thankfully God is in control.
ReplyDeleteTime to decompress. I think I'll get out of the office for lunch and go get my hair cut so I'll look good for the rapture. :)
Maranatha!
Heard about the 6.3 earthquake in Bushehr, Iran... gee, think that's a little wakeup call from God? Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteIran is going down...as Gods Word says, they will be in the "Pit" of you know where...from a post I made previously...
ReplyDeleteI have said that I personally believe that the yet completed, final Judgments of God spoken in His Word with Ezekiel Chapters 25-32, will occur when God Himself “rebukes” these enemy nations at the end of the Isaiah 17 war. In Ezekiel 30 we have Ethiopia and Libya going down with Egypt. In Chapter 32 in particular, God lists those that ALREADY that have been sent to the “Pit” by Him, when Egypt goes down. They are Assyria (Syria), Meshech and Tubal, Edom (Southwestern Jordan), and Elam (IRAN)!
ELAM! The location of ancient Elam, is Elam would be the very northern end of the Persian Gulf and down along with the west coast of Iran. In present day, one of primary portions of ancient Elam would include Bushehr Province with the capital city of Bushehr. Yes that’s right! BUSHEHR. Iranian nuke plant! Just AMAZING! Oh, one more observation…is the order in which God lists those that are condemned with Egypt- in Hell the Pit, to those we can compare to the Isaiah 17 war!
Ezekiel 32:22-23 In the Pit -Assyria Isaiah 17:1 Damascus
Ezekiel 32:24-25 In the Pit – Elam – Not mentioned in Isaiah 17 – BUT we know as Israel does that it is Iran supporting all these other enemy nations that are the closest to Israel.
Ezekiel 32:26-28 In the Pit - Meshech and Tubal – Amazing- note “Rosh” is not mentioned as in Ezekiel 38. BUT there are LOTS of Russians in Syria that will go down with Syria in Isaiah 17:1 & Vs.3 tells us Israel takes Syrians captive.
Ezekiel 32:29-30 In the Pit – Edom – Jordan – Isaiah 17:2 note -also mention in Ez.32:30 are the “Sidonians”(Lebanon) already there and we know this from Ezekiel Chapters 26-28…
