In The News: Chemical Weapons, Saudi Connections, Arms Deal

Assad Attacked Rebels With Nerve Gas, Top IDF Analyst Says

The IDF’s top intelligence analyst said Tuesday that the army was quite certain that President Bashar Assad deployed chemical weapons against civilians in Syria on March 19.
“To the best of our understandingת the regime used lethal chemical weapons,” said Brig. Gen. Itai Brun, head of the Research and Analysis Division at the IDF Military Intelligence Directorate.

Speaking at a security conference in Tel Aviv, Brun said further that based on the pictures of the victims — the size of their pupils, “and the foam coming out of their mouths” — the army believed that Assad’s troops had used the lethal nerve gas sarin as a weapon.
Sarin, used by Saddam Hussein in aerial strikes against Iraqi Kurds in 1988 and in a Japan terror attack in 1994, is a nerve agent that cripples the respiratory system. It is considered a weapon of mass destruction.
Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel said Monday during a visit to Israel that “the Syrian government’s use of chemical weapons would be a game changer.”

Also on Monday, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon described three red lines for Israel on Syria — the transfer of sophisticated weapons systems to rogue elements, the violation of Israel’s sovereignty along the border, and the rebels’ acquisition of chemical weapons. “We are ready to operate if any rogue element is going to put his hands [on chemical agents] or any chemical agents are going to be delivered to rogue elements in the region,” he said.
Brun said that in Syria today there are over 1,000 tons of chemical weapons, including sarin and VX, both of which can be deployed from artillery rounds and long-range ballistic missiles.

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urged Arab nations Monday to stop supplying arms to either side in the Syrian conflict but the Arab League chief said it’s impossible to halt the flow of weapons at this time.
Ban made his appeal during a meeting Monday morning with Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Elaraby and Qatar’s Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, U.N. spokesman Martin Nesirky said.

Russia, a close ally of Syrian President Bashar Assad, has been a major arms supplier to Syria, reportedly along with Iran and Hezbollah.
Russia and China have vetoed three Western-backed resolutions in the Security Council that would have pressured the Syrian leader to stop the violence. With Moscow demanding equal condemnation of the opposition, the U.N.’s most powerful body has remained paralyzed.

Top Israeli military officials on Tuesday confirmed that the embattled forces of Syrian dictator Bashar Assad had used chemical weapons against rebel populations. Equally concerning, said the Israelis, is the lack of an international response to this crime.
Speaking at the 6th annual Institute for National Security Studies conference, the head of Israel's military intelligence said that pictures coming out of Syria showing corpses with constricted pupils and foaming mouths is evidence that the victims were killed by sarin gas.
Gen. Itay Brun said he believed Assad's forces had used sarin and other chemical weapons at their disposal numerous times in recent weeks.
Brun said the Assad regime is in possession of more than 1,000 tons of chemical weapon agents, and the deafening silence of the international community now that these banned substances are being used is cause for great concern.
If the world will not speak up when Assad uses these weapons against his own population, will it do anything to stop terror groups who seize the chemical weapons in the wake of Assad's fall from using them against Israel?
That's an outcome Israel needs to be very worried about, Brun explained, noting that many of the rebel groups fighting for control of Syria and its arms do not make "rational calculations."
Last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that Israel is preparing to take action against Syrian rebel groupsshould the wrong kinds of weapons fall into their hands.

[Note: I had a feeling this was too good to be true, and that 'strings' would be attached to this arms deal]

A $3 billion weapons deal was expected to ensure that the
United States could block any Israeli attack on Iran.
Analysts said the U.S. offer of advanced aircraft to Israel was meant to
stop any attack by the Jewish state on Iran. They said Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged to President Barack Obama that Washington
would have veto power over any Israeli operation against Teheran.

“The arsenal of weapons that has been promised to Israel is supposed to
rein it in and leave the decision on dealing with Iran’s nuclear facilities
up to the Americans,” former Israel Air Force commander [Res.] Maj. Gen. Eitan Ben-Eliyahu said.

In an analysis in the Israeli daily Yediot Aharonot on April 21,
Ben-Eliyahu, who served as a consultant to the military and government,
asserted that Obama was willing to listen to Netanyahu’s warnings of Iran’s nuclear program. But the former air force chief said the prime minister was receiving U.S. weapons on condition that he demonstrates restraint.

“Let us remember that the $3 billion worth of weapons and equipment
being provided to Israel will obligate the government of Israel to show
restraint,” Ben-Eliyahu said. “Talk? Sure. Act? Only in full coordination
with the United States.”
The analysis, confirmed by other Israeli sources, was published during
the start of the visit by U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel.

Questions remain about whether there is a Saudi connection to the Boston Marathon bombing last week and if the Obama administration has been interfering in the investigation of the Islamic terrorist attack.
These questions take on greater urgency as Islamic terrorist organizations continue preparing attacks. Canadian authorities yesterday upended an ambitious terrorist plot that could have killed hundreds of Americans and Canadians.

In the spotlight is Saudi visa student Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi (also spelled al-Harbi) who was injured in the marathon bombing blast and was initially considered a suspect in the deadly terrorist attack that killed three bystanders and hospitalized close to 200 others. There is a prominent Alharbi clan in Saudi Arabia.

But it is not at all clear what caused officials to flag the young Saudi as a possible terrorist in the first place. Media reports indicated that when Alharbi was hospitalized after being injured in the blast eight days ago, the government called him a “suspect,” but soon watered down that description, calling him a “person of interest,” and eventually a mere “witness.”
Beck said the FBI began backtracking on Alharbi’s status after Secretary of State John Kerry met with Saudi foreign minister Saud al-Faisal last Tuesday. The next day President Obama met with the foreign minister and Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the U.S., Adel al-Jubeir.
“Wednesday at 5:35 p.m. the file is altered,” Beck said. “This is unheard of, this is impossible in the timeline due to the severity of the charge … You don’t one day put a 212 (3b) charge against somebody with deportation, and then the next day take it off.”

Last week was horrific with the Boston Marathon bombing claiming the lives of 3 and injuring several score.

But as bad as that story is, I fear there is another that is even worse that is being covered up. There was someone arrested before the Chechen brothers were caught, a Saudi national by the name of Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi. Rumor has it that he has strong connections to a powerful Saudi family and that he is a known terrorist. He also has many known terrorists in his family. But the Obama Administration has been doing all it can to muffle anything having to do with this “person of interest.” This kid just happened to be there at the finish line rooting for a runner and probably helping with the bombing. He is also on a terrorist watch list.

In January, Saudi travelers were given ‘preferred travel status’ by the U.S. Napolitano signed off on that. That means while regular Americans are treated like terrorists by the TSA, Saudi nationalists (remember 15 of the 19 bombers on 9-11 were Saudi nationals) get to walk right through security and into the U.S. Everything is upside down. Also remember, that after 9-11, President Bush let 140 Saudis in the U.S. get on a plane and go home when the rest of the country was shut down. Do the math. Hell, even a SWAG would do.

Here are the background facts from The Blaze:
  • A Saudi national originally identified as a “person of interest” in the Boston Marathon bombing was set to be deported under section 212 3B — “Security and related grounds” — “Terrorist activities” after the bombing.
  • As the story gained traction, TheBlaze’s Chief Content Officer Joel Cheatwood received word that the government may not deport the Saudi national, originally identified as Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi.
  • Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano refused to answer questions on the subject when confronted by Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) on Capitol Hill.
  • An ICE official said a different Saudi national is in custody, but is “in no way” connected to the bombings.
  • A congressional source, however, says that the file on Alharbi was created, that he was “linked” in some way to the Boston bombings (though it is unclear how), and that documents showing all this have been sent to Congress.
  • Key congressmen of the Committee on Homeland Security request a classified briefing with Napolitano.
  • Fox News’ Todd Starnes reports that Alharbi was allegedly flagged on a terrorist watch list and granted a student visa without being properly vetted. Sources close to the investigation also told him the Saudi is still set for deportation.
  • New information provided to TheBlaze reveals Alharbi’s file was altered early Wednesday evening to disassociate him from the initial charges.
  • Sources say the Saudi’s student visa specifically allows him to go to school in Findlay, Ohio, though he appears to have an apartment in Boston, Massachusetts.
  • Sources tell us this will most likely now be kicked from the DHS to the DOJ and labeled an ongoing investigation that can no longer be discussed.

There are questions that urgently need to be answered on the Saudi in the hospital:
  • It is being claimed there is a second Saudi in custody. Who is he, where is he and what is he charged with?
  • Who is Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi? Who are his parents?
  • Why did Obama really meet with the Saudi Foreign Prime Minister and the Saudi Ambassador last Wednesday?
  • Why did the NTC issue an event file calling for his deportation using section 212, 3B, which is proven terrorist activity?
  • Why was the 212, 3B changed last Wednesday and by whom?
  • Where is Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi? Rumor has it he could be on his way back to Saudi Arabia tomorrow, if he is not already gone.
  • Who revoked the deportation order? The only ones who could have are the Director of the NTC, who could do it after speaking with each department, the FBI, the ATC, etc. — which is impossible to do in such a short period of time, — or, somebody at the very highest levels of the State Department could do it. So, which is it and why?
  • Why did Janet Napolitano lie in front of Congress when asked about the Saudi?
  • Why did Michelle Obama visit the Saudi in the hospital?
  • Was the Saudi here to recruit fighters in the U.S. for Jihad?
I think Beck is right, Obama and his Islamic brethren in our government have a deal with the Wahhabist Saudis who are the largest funders of terrorism on the planet. And a cultural Jihad is taking place here in the U.S. It has to do with oil, banking and Islam.

The Saudis have infiltrated this country solidly. They are in our government, our schools and our media. CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood are conducting a soft coup from within and we are letting it happen. It is a form of warfare that came straight from Italian Communist Party leader, Antonio Gramsci, who promoted exchanging the subtle long-term infiltration of institutions and Government for the outdated, confrontational street-marching tactics of Mao Tse Tung. It is the blending and merging of Islamism and Marxism and it is Death to America.
Every time there is an attack here, our rights are increasingly curtailed and we are further suppressed, while Islamic extremists get more and more freedom. The former Vice President of CAIR in Dallas, Texas is now running the Syrian Rebels – they are terrorists. Look at the Ft. Hood bombing, Benghazi and others. We let terrorist killers walk while persecuting Americans. Islam is in our White House and its purveyors are ruling America. They are teaching our kids and rewriting our laws. America, we are at war on our own soil and Saudi Arabia is behind much of it.
We have to stop sleeping with the Saudis, before they finish us off in our sleep.

  3. Dear scott,
I am reading Rosenberg's latest book and was surprised to see this sign of our times that I was not aware of. I have long marvelled over the regathering of Israel and the fulfillment in our day of this prophecy. But I was unaware that there was a similar prediction about Iran/ Elam. That conversely they would be scattered and then at the end restored. Rosenberg states that since 1979 5 million Iranians have fled Iran and are living around the world,, Jer.49:35-39. Then the Lord says in the last days He will rstore them too.
Another thing that in history that has not occured till our day.

  5. Scott,
I think Istated that last part unclearly. He says since 1979 5 million have fled and that this is part of a scqattering judgment. He ALSO talks about Gog war alliance and destruction but then a restrengthening for His work in the last days.

  6. Ohhhhh - I misunderstood - how interesting, I still need to go over there and see his site - I've been consumed by this Iranian red line thing tonight, which I think is huge news. I really believe we're inside of a 2 month time-frame which is surreal.
