Things To Come: Merging Signs

Sometimes the "signs" are obvious and plastered throughout world news, but occasionally the signs that we watch for are more subtle, but of equal importance. Today is one of those days.

To set up today's news, we know three important aspects of prophecies in the last days to be fulfilled: 1) During the Tribulation,  there will be a world-wide totalitarian government as led by the antichrist and the false prophet (Revelation 13, 17, etc.) - and part of the world includes the U.S., therefore, at some point along this continuum the U.S. must fall into  some kind of totalitarianism; 2) Persecution against Christians and Jews (the two groups who will refuse to worship the antichrist) will increase dramatically; 3) The invasion of Israel by Gog-MaGog (Ezekiel 38-39) will come from the "far north", therefore we will most likely see a "land corridor" develop - and if so - it would probably come through the sovereign nation of Georgia (although there are other possibilities, this appears the most convenient). Also keep in mind that Turkey is an important part of this invasion as they align with Iran and Russia:

Consider the above with today's news:

Right on time, right on schedule, just as predicted:

Turkish relations with neighboring Georgia, which is located in the strategically important Caucasus separating East from West, may be in for yet another jolt as Ankara seeks permission for a transportation corridor through one of Georgia’s breakaway provinces taken over by the Russians in the brief 2008 war

That five-day war saw the Russians invade Georgia and take over the breakaway provinces of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Moscow then recognized those provinces as independent countries, a move that never received similar recognition from the international community.

Now Turkey wants to create a transportation corridor across Georgia to North Ossetia which is part of Russia and establish links with regions of southern Russia and the Central Asian states. The route would necessarily have to go through South Ossetia to link up with North Ossetia.

While Turkey sees it as a great opportunity for commerce and tourism, with Russia especially, Georgia may have a different outlook on the proposal.

Totalitarianism coming to the U.S.

Most people have no idea of the degree of power and control the "Obamacare" mandate will give over people's lives. This law is much more about control than it is about "health care".

With the avalanche of new regulations on the horizon, conveniently hidden from the American People (remember, Pelosi said we had to pass it to know what was in it), the stifling impact of the regulations coming that will kill jobs, plunge our economy into turmoil, and turn this nation into a totalitarian state is eclipsed only by the absolute chaos that accompanies the attempt by the federal government to implement this monstrosity.

As a result of the complexity of the bill, the inconsistencies of the bill, and the massive onslaught of mandates and regulations, the Obama administration is well behind their own self-imposed schedule of implementing the law.  This failure is yet another clear indicator that the federal government is willing to push through as quickly as possible, regardless of how inept, Obamacare, not because they believe in the law so much, but because it is their intention to destroy the private market health care system.

The regulations and mandates are akin to similar big government plans in history in other governments, and each time they equaled totalitarianism once fully in place.

To move towards the golden calf of single-payer, a system where the government is the sole funding agent of health care, all competing payers must be eliminated.  Therefore, the first goal of Obamacare is to destroy the private sector, and then re-engineer the health care system.

The thousands of pages of regulations dictate to the private system rules that they possibly can’t survive under, and as the maze of new regulations forces their hand, pushing them to operate in a manner damaging to business, one by one the insurance companies will fall, leaving alone as the only option for health care the Affordable Care Act.

The programs are set to begin in 2014, while the taxes and regulations go into effect this January.  The goal is to initiate the private industry’s destruction for a year before the Obamacare programs actually go into action.  However, the complexity of Obamacare has the administration way behind schedule.

The delay was also largely affected by the election, because the administration wanted to wait until after the election before the early vestiges of the damaging onslaught of regulations went into play.  If launched too early, the rules that would surely be considered controversial, and possibly negatively influence the President’s chances for re-election.

With the re-election of Barack Obama into the White House, however, there is no doubt that the implementation of the law, despite the failing time clock, and the obtrusive nature of the law, is forthcoming.  The republicans in the House of Representatives may be able to delay the move with defunding strategies, but we stand at the doorstep of the ultimate destruction of the private health care industry, and the creation of a single-payer system in America where the federal government is the sole funding agent for health care, and in turn the sole controlling entity over any and all actions and activities by individuals considered by the government an influence on their health.

Christian human-rights analysts warn the expanded powers seized by Egypt’s president means more anti-Christian persecution to come.

In a set of legal maneuvers this week, Muslim Brotherhood-anointed President Mohamed Morsi moved to sidestep the courts and make his office immune to judicial oversight. With no constitution to restrain him, Morsi holds broad executive and legislative authority.
Middle East analyst Theodore Shoebat’s concern is what Morsi’s power grab means for Egypt’s Christians. He references two regimes – one ancient, one modern – to illustrate what happens when leaders opposed to Christianity take control.

“Before Nero inflicted a full persecution on the church, he at first seized full control of the Roman government,” Shoebat said.

“In order for us to comprehend how Christians will be eventually persecuted under a Muslim Brotherhood Egypt, we must look to North Sudan, a country also run by a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, Omar al-Bashir,” he continued.
“Bashir has committed a genocide of millions of Christians all in the name of jihad. And he, like Morsi, also believes that the Quran must be the constitution of his country,” Shoebat said.
Shoebat said he sees no reason to believe Morsi will not follow the model of both Nero and al-Bashir.
“The same will happen in Egypt. Once Morsi makes sure that he is officially a dictator, then a full out persecution of the Copts will occur,” Shoebat said.

  1. Scott thanks again for all the hard work and keeping us up to date on all the latest developments. I especially love all the variety we are exposed to with such an excellent wide range of news sources. A couple of my favorites that I had never heard of before until coming here are Canada Free Press and The American Thinker. Good stuff!

  2. Thanks WV - there is so much going on, I probably delete 6-8 stories a day just because of sheer volume. There were several stories of interest today, for instance, but I try to keep to a common theme. As said before - there is more happening now, on a daily basis, than used to happen in ~ 6 months a couple of decades ago. Its unbelievable how rapidly things are converging now. Anyway - thanks again, looking forward to seeing you at the gathering :)

  3. Yes, the birth pangs are coming at the speed of light it seems like. I am trying to think of ways that I can warn more people of the things that are coming and are already happening.

The thing about warning people is they look at you when you mention it like your stupid. I mean they don't have a clue. Nothing going on around them seems to matter. They are so busy with everyday that the signs God told us to look for are ignored. I agree, we need to fond some way of waking people up.

  5. David and J.H.,
I couldn't have summed it up better myself.I get the same response at work, when this guy from the office and myself talk about what is happening.
there is total silence on their side. However... I keep praying that they are indeed listening and something that was said might peek their curiosity.
My boss told me that it is not that bad and to look at times past, like w.w.1 and w.w.2, etc.He thinks that things will get better. Maybe he's right, but I really doubt it, according to the Bible.Nah.... he's wrong. God said it, I believe, that settles it!!
