Birth Pains II: More Contractions

Just look at the headlines alone and they tell the story.

Two Iranian Su-25 fighter jets fired on an unarmed U.S. Air Force Predator drone in the Persian Gulf on November 1, the Pentagon disclosed on Thursday.

The incident, reported first by CNN, raised fresh concerns within the Obama administration about Iranian military aggression in crucial Gulf oil shipping lanes.
The drone was on routine maritime surveillance in international airspace east of Kuwait, 16 miles off the coast of Iran, U.S. officials said. The Predator was not hit.
"Our aircraft was never in Iranian airspace.

It was always flying in international air space. The recognized limit is 12 nautical miles off the coast and we never entered the 12 nautical mile limit," Pentagon Press Secretary George Little said in responding to questions from reporters after CNN reported the incident.

Little said the United States believed this was the first time an unmanned aircraft was shot at by the Iranians in international waters over the Gulf.
Little stopped short of calling the incident an act of war although the Pentagon was concerned.

This will not be good for Israel - look at the bolded parts (both articles below). Additionally, you can bet that the push will resume for Israel to return to the pre-1967 borders which leaves them almost defenseless from invasion.

The Palestinians took the first step toward raising their status at the United Nations from an observer to a nonmember observer state Thursday by circulating a draft resolution to the 193 U.N. member states and asking for their support.

A letter from the observer mission accompanying the draft resolution asks UN members to support “the enhancement of the status of Palestine in the United Nations General Assembly to be considered by the assembly at a date to be announced in the near future.

There are no vetoes in the General Assembly and the resolution is almost certain to be approved by the world body which is dominated by countries sympathetic to the Palestinian cause. Approval of the resolution would elevate the Palestinians to the same status as the Vatican. The draft resolution states that to date, 132 nations have recognized “the State of Palestine.”

The upgraded status would add weight to Palestinian claims for a state in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and east Jerusalem, territories captured by Israel in the 1967 Mideast war. Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005.

The Palestinians also hope to use their upgraded status to join additional U.N. bodies, such as the International Criminal Court, where they could attempt to prosecute Israel.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman warned on Thursday that there would be “far-reaching implications” to the Palestinians’ bid to upgrade their UN status to that of non-member state later this month.

“This unilateral step has broken the rules and crossed a red line,” Liberman said before heading to Vienna to attend an urgent meeting of Israeli ambassadors to Europe.

PA officials said President Mahmoud Abbas was considering asking for a UN vote on November 15 or 29.

The draft resolution would have UN member states express “the urgent need for the resumption and acceleration of negotiations within the Middle East peace process.”

Zaki and several Palestinian officials warned Israel against imposing sanctions on the PA in response to the statehood bid. Zaki said that once the status of a Palestinian state was upgraded, the Palestinians would be able to pursue Israel for “war crimes” in the International Criminal Court.

Residents of the Golan Heights town hit by three errant Syrian mortar shells Thursday lashed out at the Israel Defense Forces, saying the military was not doing enough to protect them from their warring neighbor.

Residents of the area say they fear fighting between Syrian rebels and regime forces is increasingly encroaching into the border area, but the army is doing little to protect area residents.

Former security professional Amir Duvdevani said that although everyone knew that there is real concern that a Syrian shell or bomb could hit Golan towns, the military did not warn the residents about the danger or has given instructions how to protect themselves.
Syrian violence has spilled over into Jordan and Turkey, with several deaths, and leaders have warned Syrian violence could spill over into a regional conflict.

The shells were among the many that have been lobbed by both sides in the civil war in Syria in recent days. Fierce fighting in the Damascus suburbs has spilled over into all of southern Syria, and the sounds of gunshots and bombs exploding over the border can be heard in northern Israel anytime of the day or night.
In recent days there have been several incidents of Syrian fighting spilling over into Israel, the prime example being the entry of three Syrian Army tanks into the demilitarized area on the Golan Heights border Saturday. The tanks entered the village of Bir Ajam, a short distance away from an IDF position, and were apparently maneuvering as part of the fighting between Assad and rebel forces.

This one pretty much speaks for itself:

As the world ponders what Barack Obama's re-election will mean inregards to the U.S.'s stance against Iran, an Iranian intelligence ministry report says that the Obama administration will be easier to deal with than the Republican administration that could have been in the White House. It asserts that the current administration has "completely different" views on Iran than Israel -- views that are more flexible even than those of the European Union.

"The Republican party has a more severe confrontational approach towards Iran... and its proposed policies are close to those of the Zionist regime [Israel]," the report said. Obama's "Democratic party's position is completely different" on Iran, it added.

The analysis also argues that the Obama administration has a more moderate approach on sanctions against Tehran than European countries.

Surprise, surprise, who would have seen this one coming?

The EU commission will eventually become a government, the council of member states an "upper chamber" and the European Parliament more powerful, but fixing the eurozone problems is more urgent for now, German Chancellor Angela Merkel told MEPs on Wednesday (7 November).
"Indeed we must find a right way to stabilise eurozone permanently and eliminate its conception errors. We must be courageous and not shy away from treaty change if needed," she said.To bring about a "true" economic union underpinning the common currency, there was need for more "binding" commitments from member states to make reforms. The EU institutions meanwhile should be given an even stronger role to "genuinely correct any inadequate procedures."

Evangelical preachers who came out strongly for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney (and even some who didn’t endorse) have voiced their angst in the wake of President Barack Obama’s re-election victory. But in addition to showcasing their personal dissatisfaction with the results, they also issued warnings of Biblical proportions.

On Wednesday, the Rev. Franklin Graham, son of famed evangelical leader Billy Graham, was candid about his fears for America’s future. After celebrating his father’s 94th birthday, Grahamissued some apocalyptic-esque warnings to the American electorate.
“Unless we’re willing to repent for our sins, we will stand in [God's] judgment,” he proclaimed. “I want to warn America: God is coming around. He will judge sin, and it won’t be pretty.”

Graham also proclaimed that America may be risking God’s blessings, seeing as the Lord purportedly “brings bedlam when countries turn their back on him.”

The faith leader warned that the Almighty may “withdraw his hand of protection.”

Then there’s Fred Luter, the first African American president of the Southern Baptist Convention. While he reiterated his belief that Christians should be praying for the nation’s leader, regardless of party affiliation, he also claimed that America is “in trouble.”

“As citizens of the United States, it’s now time for us to put away our yard signs and buttons and [pray for] our president,” Luter said in a Baptist Press interview. “Our nation is in trouble, and we need Believers to pray God’s will be done in America. We need to understand it’s only going to happen because the people of God start praying for revival in America.”

Even before the election, some preachers were attracting attention for their views on the election. This past Sunday, for instance, Pastor Robert Jeffress of First Baptist Dallas in Dallas, Texas, made headlines for his pre-election warning. If President Barack Obama were to win re-election (the reality of which came just two days later), Jeffress warned that America would be set on a dangerous path toward Armageddon.

“I want you to hear me tonight, I am not saying that President Obama is the Antichrist, I am not saying that at all,” he preached. “But what I am saying is this: the course he is choosing to lead our nation is paving the way for the future reign of the Antichrist.”

  1. Based on what I wanted to add to my other comment on Wednesday, I have to admit Scott I was happily surprised to see your first article regarding the current "Birth Pains" taking place.

With all that has and continues to take place with respect to Bible Prophecy, I have been learning for a little while now just how literal the Word of God can be. Take for instance in 2006 when Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice made the statement at a Press Conference "What we're seeing here is, in a sense, the growing—the birth pangs of a new Middle East".

That's not something that can be easily dismissed, especially coming from someone that belongs to the Council on Foreign Relations and us knowing that it is an evil organization with a sinister agenda. It was at that moment I felt as if the Lord was saying to me " Pay attention, I've got something to show you".

Since that time I really started noticing prophetic scriptures coming to life in a different way, more than I could have expected.

Mark 13:8 Speaks of earthquakes in divers places. Since 2005 we've seen 2 of the worst Tsunami's on record that of course came from terrible earthquakes in the ocean.

Revelation 17:3 Speaks of the woman riding the scarlet horse. The EU's symbol is a woman riding a scarlet horse. When I saw pictures of it as well as the statue, it hit me like a ton of bricks.

(BTW these are based from the K.J.V.)

Mark 13:8 Jesus says they will deliver you up to councils. Just in the last year in a half there has already been 3 cases(and I'm sure there was more that went unreported) that I'm aware of in 3 different states where home owner's were brought before the city council for having Bible studies in their home(and even if it was church that's all the better, this is supposed to be the land of the free).

There is at least several other scriptures that I have seen over the years with,in some cases, an even stronger correlation to real life events. What I mean by that is there were some prophetic scriptures that seemed more symbolic when you read them but in all actuality they had very real meaning to it when they occurred.

With all that said, I have an interesting question I would love to get feedback on from anyone willing to respond with their input.

There are 2 major motion "high budget" films that will be coming out in the near future, the first one is "Noah" starring Russell Crowe. The scheduled release date is March 28, 2014

The other high budget movie is "Left Behind" starring Nicolas Cage. The release date has not been announced but production began this year. Because the average movie is released 10 months to a year and a half after production begins, I have a feeling it will be coming out pretty close to the same time as the movie "Noah".

Taking into consideration the speed in which biblical prophecy is happening in these days and that the the Lord says in Mathew 24:37 that his return will be as in the days of Noah, they will be eating, drinking, giving in marriage and then the Lord goes on to say about how one will be taken and the other one left and now, also seeing today's current events looking like the Great Tribulation is not too far off-

Does anyone here think(besides myself) that the upcoming movie's "Noah" and "Left Behind" could be the Lord letting his Bride know that we are now within the time frame of the Rapture taking place?

I look forward to everyone's feedback.

  2. Correction to last post- Revelation 17:3 is the woman sitting on the scarlet colored beast which is the logo/symbol of the European Union and is also the statue they have in front of their headquarters.

Sorry everyone for that post being so long.

  6. Hi Mr. C~

Thank you for that. I too have been getting some strong promptings lately to do a double check around here.

Simple things like extra wood storage, water, locking gas caps, etc. Those simple things to run off just in case we need to be self sufficient for a bit. Our wood guy told us that the calls this year have been quite higher than in any other seasons. Among them, many customers having the same discussions we have here. He happens to be a Christian and it has allowed him the chance to witness while going door to door :)

May everyone be prepared in many ways. In this morning's news alone we know have three states with gas lines. They are making mention how well it is working for the victims of the storm and that this may be a wonderful solution overall. Seeing Ohio wanting to be added or is already added makes us wonder if this will become the new norm? We just don't know.

We do know we have our one shield of protection, our loving God who will sustain us through it all. We have the HS to guide us through this rough terrain as well as our Saviour Jesus who died so soon enough we shall be with him forever. In so many ways, he is our wonderful defender of many things past and what is to come!

    God Bless!!

    GG

  7. Hey William,

Do I think the movies will bring people to Christ? Absolutely. God can and does use anyone and anything to his glory. The question is, will we be around when or if the movie'(s) are completed? It's not looking that way. My honest opinion, is the church "has" to step up, and do what God has called each of us to do, and that is to reach the lost. That is not being done. It is evident that at least 50% of those who voted are lost (and quiet possibly delusional).

The bible clearly teaches that it is God and not man who appoints rulers. Obama was appointed by God for his divine purpose. Has God taken his hand off America? I can only speculate about that. I know that believers will not be subjected to the tribulation, but what will we have to endure until we are called? It all comes back to witnessing. If we knew who the last person to get saved would be, they would have people camped out at their house around the clock waiting to get a shot at them. All we are called to do is tell people about salvation and how to receive it. The Holly Spirit takes it from there, we merely plant the seed. Why do we continue to refuse to be obedient? We all need to talk to just one person a day, or a week and plant the seed.

  8. The present age in which we live is called - God's Grace- which is - undeserved favor -. The salvation of souls is for now – and, discipleship (discipline) is for the saved, by being subjected to God’s word. While God does use the elements to corral and manage the nations, there will be no judgments for sin given out until the time for it. Judge nothing before the time is our present directive!
There are no Scriptures warning of preparation for such a judgment.

Having a store cupboard for essential items is a long way from being 'Preppers'. Jesus says exactly the opposite to this in Matt6:19 – 34 These feelings to ‘lay up store’ are contradictory to God’s Word and based on fear and faithlessness. God wouldn’t instruct you to do anything that goes against His word. Where – is your Faith?

Mat6:31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

Vs 34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. - - - Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

This is the reaction of Pagans vs 32 states (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek) - - - for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Whereas Christs followers are instructed – vs33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; - - - and all these things shall be added unto you

  9. 12:31PM EDT October 30. 2012 - Too much water has caused shooting of the biblical epic Noah, starring Russell Crowe, to shut down.
On Monday, Crowe tweeted: "Sitting in a Hurricane, just like any another day ... I'll wait to see what blows in with the wind."
Too much Sandy blew in, causing the Darren Aronofsky-directed film to postpone shooting, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Two massive ships have been built for the project. One is housed in a Brooklyn soundstage, while the other resides in Oyster Bay, N.Y., an area that has already suffered flooding and high winds.
The outdoor ark built for the film is said to measure 450 feet long and is 75 feet tall and 45 feet wide, but was not designed to actually be seaworthy.
Meanwhile, Crowe's co-star in the film, Emma Watson, took note of the developments, tweeting: "I take it that the irony of a massive storm holding up the production of Noah is not lost @DarrenAronofsy @russellcrowe."
