- While authorities are still holding on 250 fatalities, other sources are talking about at least 300 and the number may be even higher as many bodies have been buried without legally registering them, a doctor working in an emergency team said. Muslims are burying their people very soon after they are passed away and this may be the reason that families in remote villages are acting swiftly as they are used to do in normal life. Many villages have also been completely isolated from the rest of the region and with no authorities at hand it sounds normal that people behave like this.Update 12/08 – 14:40 UTC :
- According to the latest reports, 60 villages have suffered damages ranging between 50 to 80 percent.
- People close to the emergency services in East Azebaijan are now talking about 5000 injured (source ISNA)
- Many world leaders (Putin, Erdogan, etc) have condoled Iran for the cruel earthquake
- 6 villages have been completely destroyed. The roads to four villages in the region have been cut.
- A reduced number of people are still under the rubble
- A gas conduit has cracked in Ahar
- The earthquakes were also felt in the neighboring provinces of West Azerbaijan, Zanjan, Ardebil, and Gilan.
- The earthquakes were also felt in the neighboring Armenia and Azerbaijan
- 15 tons of food is send to East Azebaijan from the province of West Azerbaijan
- Ardebil hospitals have been used to treat the wounded people from the hardest hit areas
- A donation bank account has been opned by the authorities. Iranians have been asked to donate
- Damage has been reported in no less than 237 villages!
- Yesterday and today have been declared “mourning days” in East Azerbaijan
- Another set of pictures from the damaged areas
- Iranian red crescent is not accepting international aid at this moment. Iranians are very skilled in earthquake emergency anddue to the current political circumstances are even more reluctant in accepting foreign aid. This may not surprise as also the Turkish government refused aid from abroad during the first days of the Van earthquake. The behavior may however change soon and mostly aid is accepted from friendly nations.
- We have not seen them yet, but tens of SAR dogs have been allocated to the earthquake zone.
Bureaucratic changes to the government protocols governing cabinet meetings and votes approved on Sunday have nothing at all to do with "fateful decisions" being discussed in the media, cabinet secretary Zvi Hauser said Sunday.
With that comment Hauser tried to deflate speculation that the new protocol, a 51-page document that has been some three years in the making, was designed to expand Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's executive power on the eve of a possible attack on Iran.
Among the changes introduced are the following:· The prime minister can choose to participate in ministerial committee meetings, and when he does so he will be considered a member of the committee, unless decided otherwise.
· The prime minister has the prerogative to set the agenda and call meetings of the security cabinet.
· The prime minister will now have the prerogative to set the order of cabinet votes
· The prime minister can, if he so decides, determine that for a particular vote only ministers present in the debate can vote, unless an absent minister designated beforehand a deputy to represent him.
Labor leader Shelly Yechimovich on Sunday lambasted the proposed changes, calling them an unprecedented, dangerous step that concentrates government power in the hands of one person.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu wants the Cabinet to agree to give him more power to streamline the decision-making process, and the possibility of a military attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities may the reason behind the request.
The changes, if approved, would be the first changes in Cabinet operations since the re-establishment of Israel in 1948.Many of the changes would impose more order in setting the Cabinet agenda and in voting procedures for Cabinet ministers in absentia, while other proposals would give the Prime Minister more clout in trying to win Cabinet approval on issues. If the changes are approved, he would be able to rearrange telephone votes within 12 hours and even shorten the time, if necessary. Presumably, this measure would allow him to win immediate agreement for a military attack on Iran.
Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi has sacked the entire leadership of the country's defense establishment.
Among the officials and officers fired are Defense Minister Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, and Chief of Staff Sami Anan.
Morsi appointed Abdul-Fatah al-Sessi as Defense Minister and Lieutenant-General Sidki Sayed Ahmed as Army Chief of Staff. A judge named Mahmoud Mekki was appointed vice president. Morsi also ordered the retirement of the commanders of the navy, air defense and air force. The retired navy commander, Lieutenant-General Mohan Mameesh, was named as chairman of the Suez Canal. The Muslim Brotherhood's Morsi appears to be wasting no time in consolidating his hold over power at the expense of the military, which many hoped would be a moderating power over him.Channel 2's Middle East analyst Ehud Yaari said that the move places the Muslim Brotherhood solidly at the helm of power in Egypt.
An Islamic Jihad official told Iran that a popular uprising in Jordan would break the last part of Israel's security chain."
Abu Sharif stressed that the recent popular uprisings in the region have harmed the interests of Israel, according to the Iran’s controlled Fars News Agency.
"These developments (popular uprisings) in the region are in the interest of the regional nations and against the interests of the Zionist regime and have disturbed the power balance between the supporters and opponents of the Zionist regime," Abu Sharif said.He cited the Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979 as the first of several events "inflicted great damage on Israel." Abu Sharif continued, “The deterioration of relations between Turkey and Israel was the second blow at the regime and Mubarak's fall in Egypt was another blow."If the regional changes reach Jordan, the Israeli regime will lose the last part of itssecurity chain."
Jordan and Egypt are Israel’s only neighbors with whom diplomatic relations have been established.
Bank of Israel Governor Stanley Fischer said on Friday that the financial system is preparing for an Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities and for a possible downturn in the economy which may result.
It is possible to describe situations of widespread war which would be very difficult to deal with. We are preparing for a major crisis and for security situation which is much worse.”
Fischer warned that there may soon be a global financial crisis, similar to the one in 2008, saying, “If Greece leaves the eurozone and it snowballs, we will be in deep trouble, because there will be a global financial crisis like in 2008. This will cause us problems which we can deal with if we are in the best condition possible.”
The U.S. cable networks won't be covering this one tonight (not accurately, anyway), but Trapwire is making the rounds on social media today—it reportedly became a Trending hashtag on Twitter earlier in the day.Trapwire is the name of a program revealed in the latest Wikileaks bonanza—it is the mother of all leaks, by the way. Trapwire would make something like disclosure of UFO contact or imminent failure of a major U.S. bank fairly boring news by comparison.
And someone out there seems to be quite disappointed that word is getting out so swiftly; the Wikileaks web site is reportedly sustaining 10GB worth of DDoS attacks each second, which is massive.
Anyway, here's what Trapwire is, according to Russian-state owned media network RT (apologies for citing "foreign media"... if we had a free press, I'd be citing something published here by an American media conglomerate): "Former senior intelligence officials have created a detailed surveillance system more accurate than modern facial recognition technology—and have installed it across the U.S. under the radar of most Americans, according to emails hacked by Anonymous.
Every few seconds, data picked up at surveillance points in major cities and landmarks across the United States are recorded digitally on the spot, then encrypted and instantaneously delivered to a fortified central database center at an undisclosed location to be aggregated with other intelligence. It’s part of a program called TrapWire and it's the brainchild of the Abraxas, a Northern Virginia company staffed with elite from America’s intelligence community. So: those spooky new "circular" dark globe cameras installed in your neighborhood park, town, or city—they aren't just passively monitoring. They're plugged into Trapwire and they are potentially monitoring every single person via facial recognition. So we have a widespread network of surveillance cameras across America monitoring us and reporting suspicious activity back to a centralized analysis center, mixed in with the ability to imprison people via military force on the basis of suspicious activity alone. I don't see how that could possibly go wrong. Nope, not at all. We all know the government, and algorithmic computer programs, never make mistakes. Here's what is also so disturbing about this whole NDAA business, according to Tangerine Bolen's piece in the Guardian: "This past week's hearing was even more terrifying. Government attorneys again, in this hearing, presented no evidence to support their position and brought forth no witnesses. Most incredibly, Obama's attorneys refused to assure the court, when questioned, that the NDAA's section 1021 – the provision that permits reporters and others who have not committed crimes to be detained without trial – has not been applied by the U.S. government anywhere in the world after Judge Forrest's injunction. In other words, they were telling a U.S. federal judge that they could not, or would not, state whether Obama's government had complied with the legal injunction that she had laid down before them. To this, Judge Forrest responded that if the provision had indeed been applied, the United States government would be in contempt of court."
Hello everyone, Gwenny here. Just an update on my husbands shingles. He is doing so much better. His shingles are going away and can now wear his shirt. He wasn't able to tolerate a shirt last thursday. He's smiling again --Praise the Lord! Thank you again for your prayers!
ReplyDeleteWe are also watching all of the events going on in Iran and Syria. Every time something happens we find ourselves sitting on the edge of our seats in anticipation. I am amazed at all of the birth pains that are happening daily. I keep praying daily for everyone who is on the fence about their decision for Christ because time grows short.
Gwenny, glad to hear your husband is doing much better. It's amazing what prayer can do. Scott, when I first started watching your blog, it took about a week before an item appeared on the 2nd page. Now some of yesterdays articles are on it. I guess prophecy is like a stone rolling downhill. The closer you get to the bottom, the more speed it picks up. I am so ready to go. Come Lord Jesus!
ReplyDeleteGwenny, thanks for the update.
ReplyDeleteFather, thank You for prayer answered.
Dutch, amazing isn't it. Just like birth pains. When I first started watching, if we had something every six months as big as one entry in Scott's morning update....it was a huge year for prophecy.
ReplyDeleteI don't think any of us expected us to still be here at this point. That brings up another question, but its out of our control and not the subject. Oh well, He's got it well in Hand.
Gwenny - glad to hear about the improvement!
ReplyDeleteDutch - thats a good point - like a stone rolling downhill. The race to a tipping point is fascinating to watch and there are so many different tipping points. Sooner or later one will be reached and when it does - better fasten your seatbelts because the ride will get quite bumpy (while we're still here of course!)
Good points Caver. I don't know how much longer we'll be here. However, whenever the rapture happens I just hope that all believers have the strength to hold out until Jesus gets here. Sometimes I feel like I still sin so much that I'm not even worthy for any rapture at all. I guess we just have to wait and see how things go.
ReplyDeleteJ.H., no one is worthy, that's why He told us to
Delete"Pray DAILY that you may be found worthy..." Luke 21:36.
I live by a very short account with Him moment by moment. A life of repentance and worship!
I will watch and wait and keep as clean as possible with the Holy Spirit.
God be with you!
JH....you are correct, we all continue to sin, and are absolutely NOT worthy of any rapture at all.....not one bit. That is exactly why we need our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who took ALL of that sin upon Himself that day some 2000 years ago!!
ReplyDelete"AMAZING LOVE!, how can it be, that you my King would die for me!"
I couldnt be anymore convinced that our time here is very, very short....I will be surprised if that time is measured in any more than weeks or at most a very small number of months......but of course, i have no clue, and have been watching firsthand the hand of God holding things back until His time is right.
Until then, I feel privileged to live these amazing times!
Come soon Lord Jesus!
Hi Everyone-
ReplyDeleteI hope this post finds you all doing well. I hope in these last days and hours our energies can teach us to reach a little farther to the lost. I know sometimes it can be hard and it is easy to stay in our comfort zones.
Today, I took the time to look at some of the photos out there on google and the struggles and despair on many nations in these last days. To reflect on how precious a life is and that God desires not to lose one of his
precious children.
To reflect for a moment wondering if they received
Jesus into their lives or did they instantly arrive at
another permanent destination that we will not be a part
of soon. To remember we are all given the chance to
come to know Christ before we die but many will turn
away.
So as we draw to a close, I sincerely hope we
remember that this could have been us, but blessed are
we and praise God for all he does for us and our friends and families. This could be someone we know, and we still have much we can do before the hour draws to a close to help someone we may not know.
After all is said and done, how lucky are we to have
received Christ and have a God who loves us so much that he sent his son to die on our behalf. A wonderful gift we are not worthy to receive by a Father who loves us beyond all measure.
May God protect each and everyone of your families in these hard times and may we make a positive difference in these last hours.
God Bless!!
GG
On "The Blaze" there's a story that says Bibi wants to attack but his cabinet is against it.
ReplyDeleteHi GG, not true. His cabinet voted unanimously to grant him extended executive powers. That does not suggest opposition.
DeleteBlessings....
Right you are Mike! These are really exciting times no matter how dark they are or will get. I feel like God allowed me to be saved just in the nick of time (about three years ago). The ones I worry about are those that aren't saved yet. Praying for those people is definitely on my priority list.
ReplyDeleteThis Egypt thing is a trap.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.debka.com/article/22268/Muslim-Brotherhood-anti-army-coup-in-Cairo-Tanks-move-up-to-Israel-border
I think that this has been mentioned,
BUT TO THINK IN 7 DAYS MORSI would
do all that.
He must be the DARK KING that scripture speaks of, there, another
PROPHECY FUFILLED out of nowhere.
I am not sure HOW EWI fits into this. But i know all about 29/30
Ezekiel.....and the Aswan dams...
This Morsi is sneaky.....moves
tanks into position to " pacify
the Sinai" when in REALITY he is
about to attack Israel with those tanks.
83 Psalms speaks of a SECRET PACT
set up with a plan to attack
Israel......it is MY UNDERSTANDING
that in a few days the Arabs are having a BIG MEETING in S. Arabia...
for what ??
and I heard Iran was invited to that meeting ????
this could be it....
stocks are down tonite, only a little. at this point, ANY violation of 12, 800 is very
bearish. Bulls need money to
play the game, and we will see
HOW LONG they can do it.
One slip, and they are roasted in the oven >>>>>>
they have NO RESPECT for the bears,
they will FIND OUT soon enough...
the meaning of that word.....
Stephen >>>>>>>>>>>>
J.H......we may have some tough times before the Lord comes....but the darkness to come we will be rescued from, absolutely.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you made the cut in time! ;)
I have the same concerns about people I know, and that I dont know, who are not saved. But I have been proactive, and still am....
Even though I have one person in particular that gets offended when I bring things up, I refuse to give up. This person has inspired me to give information, and LEAVE information behind.
I know this person is open to a point about the truth, so I just give information, and hope it takes. If not, they will KNOW when things happen, that I was telling the truth.
That make me think....what could I do make sure anyone who I have been in contact with who is not saved will have the light bulb go off, even after the rapture? I have all the information in a flash drive, hanging from my turn signal on my truck.....with everything you need to know, and the people to contact. I also signed up to a left behind website to send all that info out, just in case. That may not do any good, but I am trying sooooo hard to do whatever I can for those I love so much.....even if they make the decision after the rapture.....
I talk to these people, but not overwhelming them...I just figure....when you hear something, you cant "unlearn" it.....so I just gently put it out there....plus the flash drive and website stuff.....
People WILL have a chance when we are gone, I just try to give a little extra help from 'beyond'....;)
Mike
Dear Stephen:
ReplyDeleteThanks for the "heads up" on Morsi.
Hi Stephen, great info there. Where did you hear about the meeting in SA at? I hadn't seen a peep about it....and it never dawned on me the position the Egyptian tanks were in w/respect to Israel...but you're right.
ReplyDeleteInteresting
Thank you Stephen for your info. It is appreciated Brother :)
ReplyDeleteGod Bless!!
GG
Im sorry but i lost the source for that meeting, but I saw it, and IF
ReplyDeleteI saw it once, that does it.
Try to google it if you can , it's
gotta be on line somewhere....

I think you should.
soon.
(involving GERMANY ?? really ?? )

Germany!?! GOMER!!!! All the players are on the field! Ezekiel 38-39, here we come!
DeleteHi Israeli-
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what you are disagreeing about. I am simply stating that I am grateful for the kind sharing Stephen is offering. He has been noting things over time about Morsi. His input is just as helpful as anyone else who speaks on various types of their findings. Hope that clears that up. :)
God Bless!!
GG
Hi GG, I don't know what you are talking about. Are you sure it was me?
DeleteAH!!! GG, sorry! I was adressing Gary above about the article from "The Blaze"! Sorry man!
Delete(8-D
These deceptions are NOT GOOD. people saying one thing and doing something else, like Morsi, and then
ReplyDeleteyou find out about it later.....
which implies....!!!!
that alot of STUFF has been AND I THINK STILL IS going on in secret.
and then gets revealed ONLY when
time is running out....
IF TIME IS RUNNING OUT, the DOW must
be watched closely for a downside
surprise......for sure........
spooky.

ReplyDeleteI will hand the Egyptians over to the power of a cruel master,
and a fierce king will rule over them,”
declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.
I find it quite worrying how there is so much news that is so serious yet the main stream media are to busy reporting on celebrity nonsense etc !
ReplyDeleteI think that if people found out half of what is actually happening in the world they would be seeking answers and finding Jesus !
Things really are moving fast and I thank Jesus for giving me the interest in end times prophecy,
I don't know about others on here but do you find that worringly end times talk is a bit of no go zone for many Christians , even more so when with a bi of looking you can see the late stages we are in ! I trully believe that the rapture will be a big shock a many are not looking for the signs or are even aware of it !
Thankyou Jesus for this wonderful fellowship on here with contributes from all over the earth giving us all a fantastic insight !
and yet, despite all this, bulls are still in control. the dow is down
ReplyDelete7 pts after being lower.....
it seems very DIP is being bought by
bulls, AND AS LONG AS THIS CONTINUES,
THE END will be delayed yet again.
There is one piece of good news,
bulls NEED TO PERFORM HERE, a new level from EWI is NOW 13,051....
ANY VIOLATION OF THAT and it will be crash city. Trigger levels CONTINUE to rise due to greedy bulls and their buying of stocks.
that is a NEGATIVE for them.....
13,051.....the new sell level.
Stephen >>>>>>>>>>>>
WOW! Hmmm…tanks in the Sinai…worthless UN…U.S. stabbing Israel in the back!…and it goes on. Why is this SO familiar?...Six Day War….only this time it would be the Six Day War on STERIODS! Does this ever sound and look like a set up or what!!! We have this supposed “terrorist” attack at the Israeli boarder, then, oh, the Egyptians have to send in TANKS to confront the “terrorists”. At the same time, what a surprise, the Military is officially taken over by the Muslims. Oh this is rich! Israel must be on high alert! They have been there, done that! Meanwhile, our traitorous disgusting Thug in Chief and his minions, are do what? Spending our hard earned tax dollars, to refurbish mosques around the world! And now what are we going to pay for? Funding of the Egyptian muslim run military!!! WHAT!!! Let see how Maobama – traitor in chief, handles this one! He’ll probably attempt to slip the Egyptians more of our funds some way…ya know…the Mafioso-gang land -back ally Chicago way.
ReplyDeleteThese actions by Israeli’s enemies convince me more and more, that at the end of Isaiah 17 when God Himself steps forward and rebukes these nations that “rush in” to finish off Israel, He will fulfill chapters Ezekiel 25-32. His Final Holy Judgment against these nations, and whew, it will be brutal for them! Jordan, Gaza, Lebanon, and Egypt…His Word is True…and will not return void…
God is bringing all evil to the surface in these nations...and this evil He will destroy...
Hi Sister GG,:)
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Sister for such a beautiful post! and sharing your wonderful wisdom!
God Bless You Sis! :)
I need your prayers if you would be so kind...Ive gotten away from my fellowship with the Lord. Ive turned away from Him in so many ways that I feel that He wont even hear my prayers anymore for forgiveness. I dont know whats wrong with me and why I keep rebelling against Him. I keep failing and sinning and its like this horrible cycle that Ive been living for a year now. I just feel so far from our Lord and so disconnected but I want to be right with Him so badly. Just please, please pray for me. Thank you so much
ReplyDeleteHi Pat, God bless you for your honesty! I can guarentee you your Heavenly Father has heard you loud and clear. Just keep telling HIM what you have told us all here in your post. He hears you because you have opened the door with an honest, and contrite heart!
ReplyDeletePat, prayers have gone to the Father for you! You are still his child, washed in the blood!! Clean due to Jesus sacrifice not our own. I dare say rhat we all sin, every day, in one way or another. Though I do know rhe longer we walk with him, the less we sin (hopefully) and the more clearly we recognize it when we do.
ReplyDeletesatan is a jerk! And he constantly is tirmenting us to do bad things and to make us feel guilty.
Hang in there! Jesus has you, even if you aren't "feeling" like it right now.
thank you both so much, really, from the bottom of my heart.
ReplyDeleteYour encouragement means alot.
