Arab League suspends Syria, calls for halt to violence
Abbas: PA will continue to push for full UN membership
Accidental Explosions At Iranian Military Base
15 Iranian soldiers killed in explosion at military base
Dozens of Iranian Guards killed in 2 big explosions near Tehran
Strong shallow earthquake in Greece, near Patras
Quakes in Montana (4.2), Oklahoma (4.0), Venezuela (5.0), Japan (4.9), Guatemala (4.5), etc.
Iran will find a way to blame Israel for the accidental explosion. The end result makes me think of Ahkmed the terrorist puppet.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Ahkmed... "I KEEL YOU!"
ReplyDeleteThere are no accidents. If there were multiple blasts at US military bases killing soldiers, we would call it terrorism.
ReplyDeleteAgain, God's Will will be done. If we are attacking Iranian military bases without a declaration of war, we should not cheer. IMO
Seth, that's a good one haha. Jeff Dunham for the win.

ReplyDeleteUS Presbyterian Church takes sharp anti Jewish stance.
ReplyDelete11/11/2011
Most of America’s presidents since James Madison were members of the Presbyterian Church. It has the reputation of being the wealthiest and most mainstream among US churches. Presbyterians gave to the United States dozens of presidents, Supreme Court justices, secretaries of state (Condoleezza Rice is daughter of a Presbyterian priest,) cabinet officials and members of Congress. Even pastor Billy Graham, known as “the ear of US presidents,” has been a dedicated Presbyterian.
However, in recent years, the US church appeared in the headlines for a virulent anti-Israel campaign in which money, theology and politics are mixed together. Pro-Palestinian activists, allied with anti-Jewish Protestant zealots, won a victory in 2004 when the church divested its $8 billion portfolio from companies doing business with Israel. A few days ago the Presbyterians and three other US Protestant denominations endorsed the Palestinian UN bid for statehood.
Meanwhile, the church just hold a conference in Louisville titled “Bible, Land and our Theological Challenge”. It embraced the “Kairos Document,” which says that Israeli security policies are “a sin against God”, likens the security fence to “apartheid”, rejects the Jewish State, supports terrorism when it talks about the “thousands of prisoners who languish in Israeli jails”, and proclaims that “resistance to the evil of occupation is a Christian’s right and duty.”
At the Louisville’s symposium, Rev. Eugene March, professor emeritus of Old Testament at Presbyterian Seminary, said the Jewish right to the holy land is “invalid,” while Rev. Gary Burge, professor of New Testament at Wheaton College, said that “Jesus subverted the land politics of Judaism” and criticized “the territorial worldview of Judaism.” It is hard to imagine uglier slander.
The Presbyterian Committee on Mission Responsibility Through Investment just urged the General Assembly to fully embrace the so-called BDS movement and to divest from Caterpillar, Inc., Hewlett-Packard, and Motorola (a decision is expected in few months.) The Presbyterians own hundreds of thousands of shares of stock in these companies through their pension fund for retired workers and through foundations. The church accused these companies of selling helicopters, cell-phones, night vision equipment and other items Israel uses to enforce its “occupation.”
Cont.
False allegations.
ReplyDeleteRabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, called the campaign “a recipe for Israel to disarm” and the Presbyterians’ actions “functionally anti-Semitic.” The church’s 2010 report, titled “Breaking Down the Walls” – characterized as “toxic” by the Anti-Defamation League - legitimizes doubts about Israel’s right to exist and calls on the United States to withhold military aid to Israel.
According to the Camera watchdog group, the Mideastern Mission Network of the Church promoted anti-Jewish incitement even through Hezbollah-controlled television station al-Manar, including false allegations about Israel tunneling beneath the Temple Mount (which in the past have incited violence in Jerusalem.)
This week in Atlanta the Presbyterian Church hosted another symposium, “From Birmingham to Bethlehem”, likening Martin Luther King to the Palestinians. A main speaker was a Palestinian cleric, Father Naim Ateek, whose influence in contemporary Protestantism is immense, not least through
his Sabeel Centre in Jerusalem. Ateek’s denunciations of Israel include imagery linking the Jewish State to the charge of deicide that for centuries fuelled anti-Jewish bloodshed.
Writing in the Journal of Ecumenical Studies, Adam Gregerman observed that theologians like Ateek “perpetuate some of the most un-savory and vicious images of the Jews as malevolent, antisocial, hostile to non-Jews.” For example, Ateek wrote about “modern-day Herod’s” in Israel, referring to the king who the New Testament says slaughtered the babies of Bethlehem in an attempt to murder the newborn Jesus.
Indeed, many voices in the US are now suggesting that the Presbyterians have left behind the commitment “never again” to “participate in, contribute to, or … allow the persecution or the denigration of Jews” (from the 1987 Statement on the Relationship Between Christians and Jews.)
In the Middle Ages, the “mystery plays” that portrayed the Jews as the executioners of Jesus helped fuel burnings at stake and pogroms, until the Holocaust drove dark theology underground. The Presbyterian Church is now staging a XXI century mystery play, in which Israel is the Jew of the world.

Expected Imminently: I found this article and at the end a reader asked what I needed to know: what were the other 3 churches endorsing a PA State. Answer: United Church of Christ. The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). United Methodist Board of Church and State. I was shocked to read that the Presbyterian standing in 1987 towards Israel was Never Again as stated in their book the relationship of the church to Israel. I remember at the end of last year the Pope also made the official statement that the Jews are no longer a chosen people and that they have forfeited their right to the land.

ReplyDeleteBrothers and Sisters . . .could we have a very frank discussion about the EU, the Antichrist and the 10 kings arising?
ReplyDeleteEarly this morning, I was pouring over scripture and made a startling discovery. I think I've been reading into the Bible what simply isn't there. My Bible Study (Community Bible Study) is studying Isaiah this year. We're currently studying up through 23. As Isaiah is predicting all the judgements to befall on all these nations, I'm struck by the realization . . .that every single one . . .no exception . . .is a Muslim nation.
That's when I was lead back to Daniel 11:37-38 . . .the description of the AntiChrist.
Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things..
1) No regard for the god of his ancestors - once Christian nation, now Muslim country
2) No regard for the desires of women - no rights? Muslim women have precious few rights
3) Magnify himself above all; He's not an atheist, as I've thought . . .because he can't place himself above all gods if he doesn't believe in God
4) Honor the god of FORCES (some translations say fortresses) In other words, he will honor the god of war. Allah Jihad . . .god of war.
This has been heavily weighing on me all day . . .Are we missing the elephant in the room??? what are your thoughts?
Hello Anonymous
ReplyDeleteIt's sobering isn't it! Even though it has been occuring for quite a while, it hasn't been blatant. As the A/c gets closer, it seems the Harlot church is emerging from the shadows.
The Emergent church - Seeker Sensitive and Purpose Driven are also anti-Israel, supporting the PA and Replacement Theology (or theory as some call it)The Anglican Church is behind this promotion and of course this is linked with Islam via Roman Catholicism and the Ecumenical movement. ALL world religions are in the mix along with ALL 'christian' denominations.
It's unpleasant, but also encouraging that The Lord will not delay for much longer.
God bless
Maranatha!

Hello Robin
ReplyDeleteThe a/c is to be a prince of Rome plainly stated in Daniel 9:27. He comes out of the fourth beast Daniel 7 and legs of iron Daniel 2 Rome.
There is a very faulty theory going around that the a.c will be a Muslim from the Eastern leg of Rome. The similarities you are seeing is linked with the Gog Magog war of Ezek 38/39. Scott has had plenty of stuff on this via Joel (Epicentre) I cannot remember his name as there is another 'Joel' who is a Postie that has the theory of a/c being a Muslim and he has been proved wrong by careful exegesis.
Hopefully Mrs C will come along in a while if she is feeling better? I also think DrNofog has a good link on this.
Relax, don't fret, Scott's got it all covered! :)
God bless
Sue
Robin the Muslim religion did not even exist when the temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. so there is no way a Muslim could be Antichrist. Antichrist comes from the ones who destroy the temple. Muhammad was not born until 570 A.D.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue and guys. MrsC may get on later but she's pretty tied up with work right now. We both are but at least I can break off every once in a while, she can't once she logs on.
ReplyDeleteRobin, there's a lot there. I ran this down years ago. There's a lot of confusing twist and turns but when you go back to the original text....I believe you will eliminate a Muslim.
For a quick sanity check, there's nothing like a converted Jew that knows all the languages, ancient and modern, and the Jewish customs of the time. For that reason, I'm going to point you toward Zola Levitt. Bless his heart, I think he did a great piece on this but you'll have to get back to the archives.

Hi Sue! Could you post the link to the article on the Presbyterian Church that you posted please? I would like to forward it to my mom... Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI thought I had!

Thank you, Caver. I understand prevailing views are that the Antichrist will be European . . .but I can't, for the life of me, find support for that view in the Bible.
ReplyDeleteExpected Immently . . .ive read Dan. 9:27 . . .frontward and backward, NIV, NLT, NKJ . . .which version are you reading where Rome is plainly stated?
KJV
ReplyDeleteDaniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: AND THE PEOPLE OF THE PRINCE THAT SHALL COME SHALL DESTROY THE CITY AND THE SACTUARY; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Vs.27 And HE (the Roman prince) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week (7 years): and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
EI, my KJV says nothing about a "Roman Prince".
ReplyDelete26
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Robin,
ReplyDeleteit's in the wording: "...and the **people** of the prince that shall come ...shall destroy the city and the sanctuary..."
This is a double time-jump [or 2-part] prophecy, which is NOT uncommon in the Word. It 1st jumps forward to 70AD, referring to the Romans that destroyed the city, and then jumps forward again identifying the 'prince that shall come' as of the same people/empire as he is a prince.
And he... [the nearest antecedent is 'the prince', not Messiah! -a common error that the Pretorist & RTs make...] "...shall confirm the covenant..."

ReplyDeleteSomething else worth mentioning is the fact the Roman Empire became the Byzantine Empire in 395 AD when the Byzantine hoarders took them over. The Byzantine Empire became the Ottoman Empire and they completely took over Eastern Europe. They ruled right up until 1924.
ReplyDeleteBut then there's this:
Revelation 2:12-13
To the Church in Pergamum
12 “To the angel of the church in Pergamum write:
These are the words of him who has the sharp, double- edged sword. 13 I know where you live—where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me, not even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city—where Satan lives.
Footnotes in NIV - Pergamum is Bergama. Bergama is located in Western Turkey.
DrNoFog . . .i understand what you're saying . . .its what I've believed myself for sometime. But it occurs to me, I'm trying to make the Bible fit my Western way of thinking . . .and not letting His Word truly speak to me. That's when I began to consider this whole notion of the EU. For instance . . .remember when Greece was added to the EU and it became the Tenth? The prevailing wisdom was the Ten Kings, there they are. But then the fly landed in the ointment . . .an eleventh nation was added . . .then a twelfth. Now we're up to 17 nations, isn't it? So, to make it fit, we have to start downsizing. Well you know what, maybe we just can't see the forest though the trees. Maybe, we need to scrap all that and start over? To listen to exactly what the Bible is TELLING us.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if you have any questions about the so-called "Muslim Antichrist" theory, check out this link here.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, EI wasted no time chiming in on that one!
;-D
G'day Robin, may I suggest relax my sister. We do know the spirit of Antichrist is here already, we just have to wait for it to manifest in human form. The other thing is, 1John 2:27 says the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know and that we need to live in fellowship with Christ. We know where not walking in the Spirit when we are frustrated and impatient. At the right time the spirit will reveal to us(if we're still here) who the Antichrist will be, but only when he's ready. Are you sure about your belief in the transformation of the Roman empire? Remember the catholic church ruled the roost for 1260 years. I was always under the impression the Roman Catholic Church is the Roman empire christianised. The pope is basically a christianised Roman Emporer. The Roman empire never ceased to exist it only morphed into the Roman Catholic Church.
ReplyDeleteAnyway my friend time is short and the Spirit will only reveal to us what He wants us to know. It's a reminder to me that this is God's show and He will always be one step ahead.
Bless you sister, I hope I'm not being patronizing but helpful.
Dave.
Hello Robin
ReplyDeleteBear Basics
Rome is the 4th Beast of Daniel 7/ the iron legs of Rome Daniel 2. A composite of the three previous beast but DIVERSE.
The E.U. is the feet of the great idol made of a mix of iron and clay, partly strong, and partly weak. How many nations have joined has no bearing on the coming 10 kings. These will rule for only one hour (Rev.17:12) and it is out of these 10 horns/toes will emerge the 11th horn who will be a Roman prince – a Caesar.
Dave is right to say that Rome has remained through the religious system of Roman Catholicism out of which emerges not only the a/c (politics) but also the False Prophet along with the woman who rides the Beast (religion of false Christianity – the Apostate church). The a/c is not revealed until after the removal of the Church when he strengthens the 7 year Covenant which is when Jesus opens the first seal and the white horse and rider begins to take peace from the earth by intrigue; i.e. fake peace, no arrows, much like Antiochus Apiphanes who is a ‘type’ of the coming a/c. Dan 11. Jesus refers to this ‘abomination’ in Matt 24:15
The power that is Islam will be destroyed after Israel and God has dealt with it re. Isaiah 17/Psalm 83 and Ezek38/39. Imo this will release thousands to reject the moon god for The Son who is Jesus the Jewish Messiah. If after the Rapture, then these will become part of the Tribulation Saints. If before the Rapture (I doubt) then the Church will be added too in huge numbers.
That’s me done as I am rather cheesed off with the subject – not with you Robin, just the subject. :-)
God bless your studies with His wisdom.

Hello dear old DrNofog
ReplyDeleteThere are no bats in my belfry mate - a few death-watch beetles maybe, but definitely no bats. :D
(Hug)
Hi Sister Sue, :)
ReplyDeleteHave to agree with you, truly no offense to anyone, but this subject is not my favorite either
:( We wont be here when the ac is revealed, and JMHO, but with time running very short, Id rather be looking for Jesus, than the distraction of trying to figure out the ac.
Yes indeed, I agree with yours and Dr.No’s reference to Scripture, the ac will indeed be out of Rome or in Italian, Roma.
Excellent point Sis, that we know Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38-39 precede the Trib., and Isalm will be reduced to nothing going into the Trib. If I may Sis, enhance on that a wee little bit :) Gods Word tells us in Isaiah 17, that first Damascus (completely destroyed), quickly followed by Jordan and the West Bank, will be taken down by Israel. Then at the end of Isaiah 17, Gods Word tells us that God has to step in, or His People will be completely wiped out.
God “rebukes” these near by nations, that rush in to finish Israel off. Gods Word says there is great Judgment coming to those nations surrounding Israel, and I believe His Judgments on them will coincide with His ‘rebuke” at the end of the Isaiah 17 war. God had Ezekiel dedicate 8 Chapters to the destruction, Judgment of these nations. Ezekiel 25-32 Jordan, Gaza, Lebanon and Egypt.
I say all this because, as you so correctly stated, these “muslim” nations will be destroyed by God before the Trib. How do we know that the ac will NOT be “muslim”? Following the massive death and destruction of the Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38 wars, Israel will be trying to recover, and the “world” will insist on some kind of agreement, just like they did to Israel when they made them agree to that ridiculous UN agreement for the Lebanon war for example.
With Israel in the recovery stage, from all this horrendous death and destruction, they are allowed to FREELY rebuild the Temple! There are no “muslim” enemies left to object to this rebuilding of the Temple. A muslim ac, would not allow the Jewish People to rebuild their Temple.
Additionally, IF the ac was a “muslim”, why would he at mid-Trib go into the Holiest of JEWISH Temples, and demand to be worshiped?
Zola Levitt has a QA section, where they answer the Question, why the ac is not Jewish. The answers Zola provided, also indirectly address some of the implications as to why the ac will not be muslim.
God Bless You Sis, big hug…and back to bed for me :(
From Zola Levitt Q&A
ReplyDelete"Will the Antichrist be a Jew?"
The Bible does not say explicitly that the Antichrist will be Jewish. Passages used in Genesis, Daniel, and Revelation may, at best, vaguely imply so. For example, Daniel 11:37 says in the King James Version, “Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.” But the word for God in the Hebrew is not “Elohim”, but “elohai”, meaning “gods”, or idols. The passage simply says that the Antichrist will not worship the idols his fathers worshiped, and this is likely since he makes a pretense of being the true God, the God of Israel. The Bible is clear, however, that the Antichrist will be a Gentile of Roman origin. Bible typology shows that the Antichrist will be Gentile. For instance, the book of Daniel portrays the Syrian Gentile Antiochus Epiphanes as a type of the Antichrist (see Daniel 8:9–14; 11:1–35). As a matter of consistency, persecutors of the Jews throughout their history have been Gentiles — Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzar, Titus, the Moslems, the Crusaders, the Inquisitors, and the modern Arabs. Since the Antichrist comes with a covenant for Israel to sign, it would appear that he is an outsider, since Israel wouldn’t have to sign a covenant with one of its own.
Another argument for the Antichrist being Gentile comes from Biblical imagery. Whenever the word “sea” is symbolically used is Scripture, especially in the book of Revelation, it is a symbol of the Gentile nations. Since the “Beast” of Revelation 13:1–10 arises out of the sea, this points to the Antichrist being a Gentile.
Daniel 9:26–27 makes it certain that the Antichrist will be of Roman origin. The “he” in verse 27 of Daniel 9 refers to the same person who is “the prince that shall come” in verse 26. The Antichrist is of the same nationality as the people who destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple, which the Romans did in 70 A.D. The Antichrist will therefore be of Roman Gentile origin, not Jewish.

Hello Mrs C
ReplyDeleteNo arguments from me; I have been nodding in agreement reading your comments.
Arnold Fruchtenbaum also attests that the a/c will not be a Jew - it is an assumption with no basis other than theory.
The 70th Week of Daniel is for the purpose of 1) Bringing the Nation of Israel to Messiah. 2) to destroy the Gentile domination of the world since Nebuchadnezzar the head of Gold inDaniel 2 and the
1st Beast of Daniel 7 like a lion. (Symbol of Babylon.) i.e. A/c is a Gentile to fit the whole council of God. There is no point in him being a Muslim as Islam will not have any power to support him.
Have a good rest in Jesus.
God bless you loads.

ReplyDeleteQuite frankly, I've never given the AC being a Jew any consideration whatsoever . . . it simply doesn't fit. But MrsC . . .respectfully, we're ASSUMING that Isaiah 17 is before the Tribulation because we're attempting to explain the sense of peace Israel has at the beginning of Daniel's 7th week. But there's nothing in scripture that I can find, that confirms the notion that Isaiah 17 happens before the Tribulation.
ReplyDeleteEI, I've read Footsteps of the Messiah and am now doing the Bible Study that goes along with that book (I think you're the one who posted a link? Thank you) :) Nebuchadnezzar is thought by most Muslim scholars to be the forbearer of Islam. He brought the Babylonians polytheistic gods which morphed into the worship of the "moon god" . . .which morphed into Islam. Even some of the ancient practices of the moon worshippers exist in the Islamic religion exist today. Walking around the Kabbah (black stone) 7 times for atonement of sins, for example. Additionally, the flag of every Muslim nation contains a crescent MOON.
This is a perfect example of trying to make scripture fit preconceived notions of how it's suppose to be. :) I'm well aware of prevailing wisdom . . .I'm simply thinking, maybe we need to re-examine it :)
First, I need to provide some background from which I'm coming from.
I was raised Catholic, but never really knew the Lord. While completing my degree, I met and married a man from Pakistan in 1984. For twenty years I remained in that marriage until my children were adult or nearly grown. Actually, had it not ended in such a bad way, we might have remained married longer. It took me four years to finally get the divorce as it was a tangled mess and he was determined I'd leave marriage with nothing. The divorce was finally final in April, 2008 and I met my new husband in 2008, was saved and was married in 2010.
So all of that to say, I'm quite familiar with Islam. I've traveled extensively in the ME and speak fluent Urdo, which happens to have a similar alphabet and many words in common with Arabic. I'm not coming to this with no background knowledge as it may appear to some. And while I can understand the apprehension or disinterest of some to have no interest in the subject, it's of vital interest to me because my two eldest children have yet to be saved . . .they are Muslim.
My eldest daughter and mother of my two granddaughters said to me last week, she was awakened by her husband when the 5.6 Quake in OK was beginning. Her immediate reaction upon awakening to the violent shaking was to cry out "Momma, Momma!". Imagine, the gut wrenching ache in the pit of my stomach . . .knowing the Rapture will take her children and she'll need me more at that time, then ever . . . and I won't be here to comfort her? This is the reality I face on a daily basis. And while my prayers regarding my younger two children have been answered, I'm still awaiting His perfect timing for the elder two, but I fear the clock is ticking.
Hi Sister Robin, :)
ReplyDeleteForgive me Sister, but I had said I was using Zola’s answer to the question presented to him that the ac may be a Jewish person, as an example to the muslim ac question. Thank you for sharing your intimate background with islam. Again, a muslim ac would not allow the Jewish Temple to be rebuilt, nor stand in the Holiest Jewish Temple and declare himself to be God at the mid-Trib.
Forgive me, and very respectfully, I disagree for the reason you had presented as to why we know Isaiah 17 is before the Trib. It has nothing to do with “peace” before entering the Trib. The only battle that occurs in the Trib, is during the second half of the Trib, which is what Jesus referred to as the Great Tribulation Matthew 24:21. So we would have to place Isaiah 17 in the second half of the Trib, because we know the first half of the Trib, there are no wars. The immediate evil nations surrounding Israel, have no objections to the Temple being rebuilt? Why? Because they have been destroyed.
Its not always what God says, but also what He doesn’t say :) God knows full well the name of every nation, and destruction of Damascus He describes in Isaiah 17, is not in the Trib. I say this not sarcastically, but sincerely, did God just forget to mention the “Damascus” destruction during the Trib? No, He did not, because it doesn’t happen during the Trib. God means what He says, and says what He means. He names the participants in Isaiah 17, Ezekiel 38, and Armageddon, and they are all different, but MOST importantly, each war is for His different Purposes.
Isaiah 17 – During the Trib? Why does God Himself have to step in at the end of the Isaiah 17 war, when IF Isaiah 17 were during the Trib , it is God allowing His Son Jesus to put an end to the Armageddon war. Where is the ac, if the Isaiah 17 war occurs during the Trib? God’s biggest enemy, and He doesn’t mention the ac in the Isaiah 17 war, the ac is not in charge. Why not? Because the Isaiah 17 war does not occur during the Trib. Armageddon? The Millennium? Post-millennium? Well, there will be no nukes (or other weapons) left once the Millennium starts and why would anyone nuke Damascus at Armageddon—a battle centered around Jerusalem—or during the Tribulation .
Why would anyone nuke Damascus at all? Who would do it? Who is capable of doing it? There is only one nation that fits. Israel has nukes and has in fact threatened to nuke her enemy Syria due to her sponsorship of terrorism in Israel. .This Prophecy is telling us that Damascus will be nuked, as nukes are the only way in modern times that a city would become a ruinous heap and cease from being a city in less than a day.
We see the headlines of today, and Bibi for years now publicly saying, that Israel will hold “Damascus”, not “Syria”, but specifically “Damascus” responsible for ANY attacks against Israel. There it is, right before us, Gods Word unfolding before us. His Word is True, and does not return void.
Different participants:
Isaiah 17 – the immediate surrounding evil nations
Trib – the world comes against the ac in Israel
Isaiah 17 – No ac, No Jesus returning
Trib – ac, and Jesus returns
Sis, Im sorry for your family situation. I will share with you, after years of loosing loved ones, either in their passing, or Spiritually lost, the immense pain can sometimes be difficult to reconcile. :( The Lord showed me this…above all else we have to Love Him first…
Matthew 22:37
37.Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
God Bless You Sis! Big hug :)
Thank you, MrsC . . .why do we know there's only one war in the second half of the tribulation? Did Jesus himself not say there would be wars and rumors of wars during that time? I take the plural use of that word literally . . .many wars CULMINATING in the final battle. So kindly post, would you please, where the Bible says or infers only one war during the Great Tribulation because quite honestly, I admit, I was only taking the word of Hal Lindsay on that . . .but don't recall finding it in the Bible.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your patience with me, sister . . .i sincerely wish to make absolutely certain I'm following what scripture says and not simply what current prevailing thing is. God bless you, too :)
Hello Robin
ReplyDeleteJesus said that wars and rumours of wars are to be expected, from His departure until this very moment. But the end is not yet...
Scholars are now calling Armageddon a 'campaign.
Read Footsteps... Chapter 4 The Sequence of Pretribulation Events.
I agree with AF rendition of events, but there are excellent teachers who see things differently e.g. Renald Showers and Robert Dean put all the Olivet Discourse signs after the Rapture.
Daniel said that things will be clearer as the Holy Spirit reveals events when the wise will understand. Daniel12:8,9 That is occuring - slowly but surely.
Proverbs 3:5,6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Every blessing
Sue
Not that it is of upmost importance, but I keep wondering if the ac will not be of "mingled" heritage.
ReplyDeleteFor example, Obama (I am NOT saying he is the ac) has both a European and Muslim heritage and many of us think he leans towards the latter.
Perhaps it would be the same with the ac.
Diane
Hello everyone! great comments here today. Robin, Mrs C., and Sue how i enjoy the heartfelt conversation you are all having. With that being said I really think we should look at two events that are happening at the same time.
ReplyDeleteOne is with the Arab League suspending Syria we really are seeeing Assad isolated more than ever and his options are narrowing daily. Out of money, out of resources, his military defecting at an alarming speed, he has to do something drastic very soon. I think he will eventually get to the point that he knows he is not going to survive and then he takes his last shot at Israel.
Secondly, I believe the explosions in Iran are a part of the attack that is co ming on Iran. I think it's very important on where these explosions occurred. If they had just been at a military base where no nuclear material would be avaialble then I would say it was an accident. The key point here is that both explosions were at a key military installation where they actually arm their intermediary missles. After much thought, fasting and prayer I believe these explosions to be the start of the operation to hit Iran. I believe that part of the first covert actions was to assess the response by Iran to the explosions. Basically I believe this is being done by Israel, in cooperation with a few opposition groups where Israel along with the US can begin the operation.
Any thoughts? Please feel free to share them.
As always your brother in Christ?
James N Nashville
James, 2 excellent points!
ReplyDeleteIt is getting kinda ruff perched on the edge of the seat for this many yrs with thing heating up & then turning south again...
Way back before the primaries, before Bad O-man suddenly clinched the candidacy, former U.S. Ambassador John Bolton was strongly predicting that Israel would hit Iran during the interim between Bush going out and the new prez taking office...
His reasoning, from his 'sources', was that Iran would have nuclear capability within 6mo to a yr [geee, that seems very familiar sounding, like we've heard the same yr after yr since 2008...] and an independent Israeli strike apart from having Bush involved, which would appear as a last desperate act of an out-going Prez and embarrass him, and not knowing whether the new Prez's policies would be pro or anti-Israel, the interim period would be their best window of opportunity. But alas, apparently wasn't in the cards, bones, or the entrails...
I do hope these are the tipping points this time, but you know how God is about these things; very long-suffering and He always has some nifty unforeseen things up His big sleeves to put the brakes on thing...

Hi Sister Robin, :)
ReplyDeleteYes, Jesus did indeed say that there would be “wars and rumors of wars”, and yes He was addressing the Jewish Believers of the Trib. However, in context, Jesus was speaking of these “wars and rumors of wars” in conjunction with all the other signs. They are part of the “signs”, not a culminating in a final battle. He then followed that statement about the “wars”, by telling them that this was only the “beginning of sorrows”. Armageddon is at the end of the Trib, and is singularly described in the Book of Revelation.
Matthew 24:8
8All these are the beginning of sorrows.
The “whole world” is gathering at Armageddon.
Revelation 16:14-16
14.For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15.Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
16.And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
They come against Jesus, OUR SAVIOR AND HERO! And He wipes them out with just HIS WORDS! WOW! AND we Hallelujah!, get to witness all of this!
Revelation 19:19-21
19.And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20.And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21.And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
At the same time Jesus’ Words are for the Church too. Matthew 24 has a duality, for both the Jewish Believers of the Trib, and a heads up, so as to speak, for the Church, as Paul said, that we would not be ignorant of the “Seasons”. We are in that “Season”. We are seeing all the “signs” ever increasing around us, just as Jesus described them. For example He said specifically that nation would be against nation and kingdom would be against kingdom. The word "nation" comes from the Greek ethnos and means a race or tribe. Jesus prophesied that we would see civil and racial wars, and we are clearly seeing that now, along with all the other ”signs”. While we think it’s bad now, it’s unimaginable as to how crazy it will be when these signs increase!
Please forgive me Sis, but I don’t think perhaps you understood what Hal was saying.
I know very well, Hal’s teachings, and I owe this Brother greatly as he personally lead me to Jesus (I say that humbly). Sometimes Brother Hal as he says “is not dogmatic” about some Scripture, and over the recent twenty years he’s been a little off here and there, example once years ago, I thought I heard him teach mid-Trib Rapture. But I still love him greatly! Having said that, I just came across one of his vids, where he talks about these “wars and rumors of wars” in context with birth pangs. When Brother Hal says “end of the age”, he is speaking of the “Church Age”.

Yes Sis, there are many rabbit trail, ear tickling teachings out there these days, and as the enemy has it, they entice with a little bit of truth to hook folks in and lead them astray. Patience is not required Sis, we all study His Word together :)His Word and only His Word is our ONLY True source! When we welcome the Holy Spirit for guidance, He never fails us :)
God Bless you Sis! :)
"[The Devil] always sends errors into the world in pairs - pairs of opposites. And he always encourages us to spend a lot of time thinking which is the worse. You see why, of course? He relies on your extra dislike of the one error to draw you gradually into the opposite one. But do not let us be fooled. We have to keep our eyes on the goal and go straight through between both errors. We have no other concern than that with either of them." ~ Mere Christianity, CS Lewis
ReplyDeleteI add a hearty "amen"! Diane
James when/if Israel hits Iran they won't be fly fishing digger, they be throwing hand grands in the water so to speak. I suspect they'll take out their runways and other real estate like that furst up. If they did what your suggesting Iran would figure it all out pretty quick and bomb the pants off Israel before Israel could fully go ahead with their mission. Thanks brother.
ReplyDeleteDave:
ReplyDeleteGday mate. Hate to disagree with you but Israel has been working covertly in Iran for sometime. Wheteher it's asassinations, infrastructure targets, computer viruses or basic disinformation, mossad is alredy there. Anything they can do to gain intel regarding troop placements, emergency responses, cause confusion etc... is right up there alley. Also it's not if, it's when and that may well be under way as we speak. Only time will tell. I believe their covert operations are underway with the overt operations like bombing the run ways and the nuclear sites and everything else are soon to follow. It may be that they only engage in the covert with the U.S. taking the lead on everything else. I can't rely on my country though in light of President Obama's obvious love for Islam. It looks more and more like Israel will have to do it all alone. if so a lot of ground work has to be completed before attempting which means attacking weapons arsenals first.
Not being an expert on the subject I've got to agree with you James. I typed before thinking.
ReplyDeleteGod bless Dave.
No problem Dave. Not an expert here either. Just the son of a Sargeant Major who served 27 years in the US Army. I am really interested in the way strategies are devised. Just a hobby I dabble in now and again. I'm wrong a good 50% of the time. Only God knows right! I really appreciate your insight here on Scott's blog. We have quite a tight group here and we are here for a reason. Can't wait to meet everyone in the New Jerusalem. Take care my friend!
