Russia is facing a heightened risk of being drawn into conflicts at its borders that have the potential of turning nuclear, the nation’s top military officer said Thursday.
Reading that first sentence reminds one of Ezekiel 38:3-4
"This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army..."
And verses 7-8
"Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them. After many days you will be called to arms."
And this:
Gen. Nikolai Makarov, chief of the General Staff of the Russian armed forces, cautioned over NATO’s expansion eastward and warned that the risks for Russia to be pulled into local conflicts have “risen sharply.”
Makarov added, according to Russian news agencies, that “under certain conditions local and regional conflicts may develop into a full-scale war involving nuclear weapons.”
Russia sees NATO’s expansion to include former Soviet republics and ex-members of the Soviet bloc in eastern and central Europe as a key threat to Russia’s security.
Makarov specifically referred to NATO’s plans to offer membership to Georgia and Ukraine as potentially threatening Russia’s security.
Russia is unbelievable. The only reason there is the threat of nuclear war is because of their meddling and providing the technology to the Islamic governments in the middle east.
ReplyDeleteJust to show you how long the soviet union has been working against Israel I went and pulled my copy of Ronald Reagns memoirs called an American Life.
In a letter from Menachem Begin who was responding to Ronald Reagan's invitation to begin the Camp David Peace Process. Reagan's premise to negotiate peace was this, with a cease-fire still in place with the PLO and with the withdrawal of the PLO from most of Beirut and it's dominant position in Lebanese affairs real peace talks could begin. The peace process was basically land for peace. We know how that out turned though.
In reading Menachem Begin's reply I am reminded of what a great Israeli leader he was. He said the following:
Mr. President:
“I agree that great events have taken place since our last meeting this past June(1982). Shortly after our meeting, on June 6, 1982, Israels Defence force entered Lebanon not to conquer territory but to fight and smash the armed bands operating from that country against our land and its citizens.”
“This, the IDF did, you will remember we could not accept your suggestion that we proclaim a cease fire on Thursday, June 10, because at the time the enemy was still 18 kilometers from Metulla on our Northern border.
The article goes on to say that they couldn’t call a cease fire until they pushed them far enough back and mostly leave Lebanon all together.
I started this comment off by talking about Russia meddling and here is the rest of what Begin had to say. See if you agree.
“…(in the intervening battles) Israel lost 340 men and 2,200 were wounded, 100 of them severely. Also in the battles following the rejection of our appeals by the Syrian Army not to interfere, the IDF destroyed 405 Soviet Syrian tanks, among them 9 T72’s considered in NATO circles to be invulnerable, we downed 102 Soviet-Syrian MIGs (aircraft) and smashed 21 batteries of the Soviet SAM 6, SAM 8, and SAM 9.
So you see how the Soviet Union was involved back then, we know now that they are currently involved expanding and promoting nuclear war in the middle east and in God’s word we know what their final involvement will be and how they will be defeated.
Israel is sorely missing a leader like Menachem Begin.
Hello James
ReplyDeleteSome time ago, Scott and I were discussing the huge man-made caverns discovered by Israel in Lebanon. I remember the pictures of men dwarfed by the vast array of Russian weaponry including tanks and uniforms for many, many thousands of soldiers.
At that time the Russians were aiding and abbetting Islam to invade Israel - BUT - God had other plans.
Do you remember Scott. The huge tunneling machines that went 'missing'?
I am convinced there is to be an underground build up of troops who will pop up right under the noses of the Israeli's sat on Golan.
They already have sniper's doing that very thing. They pop up out of a hole, fire, and like all vermin, back into their holes again and vanish from sight. I think I've got a 'thing' about tunnels.
(We did that in WW1 in France with a mega flame thrower, all underground - the Sappers Regiment)
It's all going on underground, you mark my words! ;)
