Headlines for a day:

There are so many interesting stories in circulation today, just the headlines and a brief intro will do:

Ahmadinejad: European countries are puppets of a US master

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday denounced European countries that are tightening sanctions on Iran as puppets of a US master and said he was surprised at their moves to isolate Tehran's central bank."We have had no relations with America for the past 32 years so we had no relationship with them yesterday and won't have tomorrow," Ahmadinejad said in a speech broadcast live on state television."But we are surprised by these European puppets, who immediately repeat whatever their master says like impotent servants."

Street clashes rage in Cairo, death toll at 37

Street clashes rumbled on in Cairo on Wednesday as protesters derided a deal struck between Egypt's ruling generals and mostly Islamist parties for a faster transfer to civilian rule.

The death toll in five days of violence climbed to 37 by a Reuters count after a man was killed in the city of Alexandria. Hardcore protesters battled police through the night in Cairo.

'Blast rocks Hezbollah stronghold in Lebanon'

A large explosion rocked a Hezbollah stronghold in the city of Tyre on the southern Lebanese coast late on Tuesday night, Lebanon newspaper The Daily Star reported on Wednesday. The Daily Star quoted local media as saying the explosion took place at a Hezbollah arms cache. A Lebanese security source did not confirm the media reports, saying the cause of the blast could not be determined due to Hezbollah security's closure of the area.

Turkey says Israeli, Cypriot gas drilling illegal

Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said on Wednesday Israeli and Cypriot energy exploration in the Mediterranean was illegal, agreement should first be reached with all relevant parties, and resources should be equally shared.

Turkey and Cyprus are in dispute over the energy resources in the eastern Mediterranean and Texas-based Noble Energy started drilling in September a Cypriot offshore block abutting another block controlled by Israel.

Israel Prepares for Biological Terrorist Attack

The defense and health ministries will stage an exercise dubbed ‘Orange Flame 6” in the north next week and simulate an “unconventional terrorist” attack. The two-day drill next Wednesday and Thursday will simulate a biological outbreak of a contagious disease, attacking and infecting the cities of the north, primarily Afula, Tiberias, and the Nazareth area in the Galilee.

Israeli Strike on Iran will 'Jam, Blind, Deafen' Defenses

An Israeli attack on nuclear sites in Iran would go beyond air strikes from fighter planes and likely include electronic warfare against Iran’s electric grid, Internet, cellphone network, and emergency frequencies for fire and police services, according to a report by Eli Lake, a correspondent for Newsweek and the Daily Beast.

Expert: Muslim Brotherhood May Seize Power in Egypt

Middle East expert Dr. David Bukay of Haifa University said on Tuesday that he is concerned over the possibility that the extremist Muslim Brotherhood will take power in Egypt. Bukay’s comments come on the heels of the renewed protests in Egypt, some of which have been led by the Muslim Brotherhood.

Bukay compared the methods of the Muslim Brotherhood to those of Hamas when it took over power in Gaza, and said that the Brotherhood is making its way slowly but surely towards taking power.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards dare Israel to attack

Iran dares Israel to attack, because the retaliation would send the Jewish state to "the dustbin of history," a senior Revolutionary Guards commander said, according to the Fars news agency Monday.

"For some time there has been a hidden energy we hope to expend to consign the enemies of Islam forever to the dustbin of history," he said.

"Our ballistic (missile) capacity never ceases to grow," he added.
The comments were one of the most belligerent reactions yet by an Iranian official to speculation that Israel was considering launching air strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

Iran developing advanced missile defense system

Iran could be getting outside help in developing its own missile defense system, a preeminent Israeli missile expert told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday.

Uzi Rubin, an architect of Israel’s missile defense program, was responding to Iranian reports boasting of a new domestic missile defense system named “Bavar 373,” which Tehran claimed was “a substitution for S-300 (Russian) missile system.”

A report by the semi-official Iranian Student News Agency on Tuesday quoted the commander of the Khatamol al-Anbiya Air Defense Base, Brigadier General Farzad Esmaili, as saying that the Bavar 373 had “higher and more advanced capabilities than the S-300” and that the system would be “completed soon.”

Russian Warships in Syrian Waters

The rift between Russia and the West over Syria and Iran has widened on Tuesday as Moscow sent warships to Syrian shores in a show of support for the regime of President Bashar al-Assad and slammed new United States sanctions against Iran as “unacceptable”.

Three Russian warships have entered Syrian territorial waters, Russian wire services reported on Tuesday citing Syrian sources. The news came a day after Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused the West and Arab monarchies of engaging in “political provocation” in Syria by rejecting dialogue between the opposition and authorities and welcoming armed attacks on government offices.

The Russian warships were reported to be heading towards the Syrian port of Tartus, where Russia has a naval base. A source close to the Syrian President said the Russian ships would patrol Syrian waters “to prevent any military interference”.

Study: Radioactive water reaches international date line

Radioactive water from the damaged Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant has reached the international date line, about 4,000 kilometers east of Japan in the Pacific Ocean, according to estimates.

The concentration of radioactive cesium-137 will be 0.1-0.01 becquerel per liter by the end of November, 10 to 100 times higher than before the accident started, according to estimates by the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology.

Massive Hydrovolcanic Explosion Inevitable at Fukushima

On September 20, 2011, Hiroaki Koide, assistant professor at Kyoto University’s Research Reactor Institute, estimated that material from the nuclear fuel rods may be twelve meters deep underground at reactors one and three.

If the fuel reaches an underground water source, Haruo explained, it will result in the contamination of water, soil and the sea. More catastrophic, underground super-heated water will ultimately create a massive hydrovolcanic explosion.

Haruo said debris is spreading in Pacific Ocean. On November 15, tons of radioactive debris reached the Marshall Islands.

France, Germany to press euro zone treaty change

French President Nicholas Sarkozy has embraced a German campaign for treaty change that could give European authorities intrusive powers to intervene in the national budgets of countries sharing the euro currency.

France and Germany will soon propose amendments to the European Union treaty in response to the bloc's sovereign debt crisis, Sarkozy said on Tuesday.

"We will do everything not just to defend Europe but also to consolidate it."

  1. Ecumenism means joining with Rome.

    Mariolatry.

The Roman Catholic church elevates Mary to the status of ‘mother of God’ (Catechism, Article 167) and ‘Queen of Heaven’ (Article 168a).
Although the Catechism does not say she should be worshipped and seen as a mediator along with Jesus Christ, this is the result of this teaching, which can be seen by the size of the images of the Madonna in many Catholic Churches.

Article 117 says: ‘All mankind has contracted the guilt and stain of original sin, except The Blessed Virgin and her Divine Son.’

This is the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception of Mary which was proclaimed by Pope Pius IX in 1854. Pope Pius IX then stated that if anyone rejects this dogma he has ‘suffered shipwreck in the faith … and that furthermore by his own action he incurs the penalties established by Law.’ In other words you are damned and will be excommunicated if you question this doctrine.

On November 1, 1950, Pius XII defined the Assumption of Mary to be a dogma of faith: ‘We pronounce, declare and define it to be a divinely revealed dogma that the immaculate Mother of God, the ever Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul to heavenly glory.’
This means that Mary was a virgin throughout her life, after the birth of the Lord Jesus and was taken supernaturally into heaven at the end of her life.

There is currently a campaign within the Catholic Church calling on the Pope to proclaim Mary ‘Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix and Advocate’ as a dogma of the church.
The Bible teaches that the Lord Jesus is the only mediator between God and humanity (John 14.6, 1 Timothy 2.5).

Mary was in fact a faithful Jewish woman called Miriam who played a vital role in bringing Jesus into the world through the miracle of the virgin birth. There is not a word in the New Testament suggesting she was sinless or had a different nature from other people. After giving birth to Jesus, she had other children in the natural way with Joseph after the supernatural conception and birth of the Lord Jesus: ‘Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James and Joseph and Simeon and Judas? And his sisters are they not all with us?’ Matthew 13.55-6.

By this count Mary had at least 7 children after she brought forth her firstborn Son, Jesus (Matthew 1.25). Catholic teaching tries to explain this away by saying they were cousins or that Joseph was a widower and these were children by a previous wife, but this does not make sense of the text.

Mary was born in the normal way, was saved by her faith as are all believers in the Lord Jesus and died in the normal way.

  3. GEARED - I sure hope so - that would only mean that we're going home soon!

SUE - thanks for that...I can remember being is Europe and touring some of the catholic cathedrals, and seeing people actively praying to Mary - facing statues of Mary, in prayer. It was bizarre to me, to say the least.

Also - as pointed out a few posts below - many Muslims share these feelings towards Mary...I didn't know that, but apparently, the crowds at Marian Apparitions include many many muslims.

  4. I truly feel that the door is closing quickly on Israel's short window to do something to deter Iran's nuclear ambitions. The following link of an article I read seems to suggest an attack on those targets very soon, and as soon as the middle oF next month. How can anyone anticipate a very merry commercialized Christmas with what we see here on this blog? Would love anyone's input. I know, we are not to worry, but my heart races for those who are lost and who choose not to understand the times we are now living in.

  5. I agree Jec - in fact that door is closing on many things.
It can't be much longer before the tipping point is reached.

  6. Good morning everyone. Feeling blessed beyond measure this Thanksgiving morning. Obviously and emotionally grateful for everything Jesus means to me but as grateful for what all of you mean to me in Him. We are so blessed to be encompassed in the truest most honest, most sincere form of Love that not only created anything and everything ,but a love that saved everything and very soon will be holding the greatest most loving, most emotional family reunion to ever be held in the history of existence. What a day that will be to look in to each of your eyes and to know you fully in the presence of God. Can’t wait!!!!
With so much happening every single day, I am finding it interesting that the following things are happening and I will list them from what I think is most important on a scale form one to ten with one be the strongest.
    1. Munitions explosions in Iran and Lebanon. What we are seeing here is an all out very impressive tactical strike on two/three of the players against Israel directly impacting their ability to rearm their frontline operations against Israel when Iran and Syria are attacked. To underscore the impact we need to remember that the explosion in Iran was much more than just blowing something up. This plan not only took out Iran’s ability to arm their intermediate missiles with nuclear payloads but it also killed over 30 highly skilled munitions specialist including the leader of Iran’s tactical intermediary missile program that would be vital in their response to any Israeli strike. The second munitions explosion in Lebanon was a clear and decisive strike against Hamas and their intentions to support their sponsor… Iran, once Israel begins overt operations to take out Iran’s nuclear capabilities. Can’t state for sure but I believe that there will be several more munitions strikes but we won’t hear about them until after the conflict. We might know about them if we are caught up as the conflict begins. So hoping for that!!!

    2. Israel prepares for Biological Terrorist Attack. Scott posted this the other day. I think this is significant because of the munitions strikes mentioned above. With Iran and Lebanon’s conventional munitions being targeted we know that they will both rely heavily on the chemical weapons to make up for the loss of fire power. Israel’s military experts know that their chemical weapons are dispersed throughout Lebanon, the Sinai border and in the Gaza strip. Israel’s constant emergency preparedness drills over the last 4 months seem to me to indicate they are expecting something very bad to happen very soon. We all know what God’s word says about Damascus. I believe that what is going to happen with respect to chemical/biological weapons being used against Israel is that once this attack begins, because these weapons either originated or traveled through Damascus, Israel sends a message to the region/world by destroying Damascus. I realize that most of you here have a better grasp on the significance of the action against Damascus so please feel free to speak to that.

  7. Continued

3.Russian warships off the coast of Syria and Medevev threatening the U.S. Talk about God’s word being literally fulfilled right before our very eyes. These two events mark the leader of Gog and Magog’s ascendancy to the top of that ignorant and doomed coalition against Israel. I literally have goose bumps just talking about this. Think about this. The reason God allowed Obama to take the presidency was/is to stoke the arrogance of Israel’s enemies emboldening them to literally take a huge leap towards actions against Israel. While Russia has always been against Israel/Jewish people, these two events would have never happened under a conservative administration. Obama’s dislike and disrespectful treatment of Israel/God’s covenant with Israel had to be one of the top motivating factors that have allowed Russia/Iran/Syria/Egypt(developing)/ soon to be the entire world to bring current events where they are now allowing for God’s word to reveal to His bride that the time is near.

Will come back to this later today.

  8. James, good observations....

The one that just drives me up a wall is the US betrayal....in the above headline:

Israeli Strike on Iran will 'Jam, Blind, Deafen' Defenses

It says plainly that the US leaked this and there is confusion as to why.

This is pure treasonous! We are leaking to Israel's enemy their secretes in making this thing successful and it will cost lives...Israeli lives...and maybe jeopardize the mission.

This type leak can only be authorized by one person...the Obummer...IMHO. Anyone dropping something like this without authorization and protection would be hunted down and prosecuted....and should be.

I am livid....and very much ashamed.

  9. James, as usual, well stated sir - thanks for that. And of course, I agree.
Don't forget about the situation with Turkey and Cyprus and the gas/oil find in the Mediterranean. I believe this too could be quite significant.

Caver - I TOTALLY agree with this - the fact that it was leaked from the US is unbelievable and infuriating.
