The Evolving EU: What Comes Next

Despite some of the gloom and doom predictions about the fate of the Roman Empire II - there are an array of articles which predict a strengthening of central power in the EU and movements towards a "superstate" which is exactly what we would expect.

This article provides an excellent summary of where the EU is headed:

What comes next after the economy falls

First, the current conditions within the EU:

The economic crisis is growing worse as central European bank lending to such countries as Italy, Greece and Spain now has dwindled to a trickle because investors are backing away from funding the region's lenders.

There isn't enough capital on hand to finance debt which is due to mature next year. Analysts believe there need to be dramatic changes in the structure of the EU if it is to survive

Where the EU is headed:

They add that the EU is at the stage now where it needs to change to a more centralized parliament representing the respective members, who will have to give up some national sovereignty to create what amounts to a United States of Europe.

"The old EU is finished," said one informed regional observer. "The 27-member bloc has never been as unpopular as it is today."

As it now stands, the old EU is made up of countries whose parliaments can dictate the limits of their participation. They've seen how some countries in southern Europe with fewer resources and spiraling debt are forcing the more productive countries of northern Europe to help bail out the less fortunate ones, without any requirement for the southern countries to implement belt-tightening measures needed to help themselves recover from their own economic downturn.

As a consequence, the richer, northern countries such as Germany are dictating terms to such southern countries as Greece and Italy on belt-tightening measures needed to receive further bailout money.

Given the level of interdependence by countries now, it is too late to recede to a more isolated position.

In fact, these experts say the thinking is toward "more Europe" with expanded powers and a "real government." These analysts say that Europe today is where the U.S. was as a confederation prior to 1787 when the U.S. Constitution gave the U.S. a federal system.

And at some point the EU will either grow or shrink into the 10 Kings phase - its last phase. In fact, the 10 Kings will represent the final stage of human government on this earth. When Jesus returns at the end of the Tribulation, He will end the reign of the antichrist and in turn, end all forms of human government as He establishes His reign on earth. No more human government - ever. Finally. Thankfully.

  1. Hello Scott

Perhaps my family is right, they are telling me I am insane, that I have said things and don't know I have said them? Up until now I have had an answer of their gross exageration, but I really thought there was a different Post about the EU than this???
There were several anonymous replies and I am sure I answered two last night???
Must face facts - whats the diagnosis doc?

  3. Hi Sue~

I am not sure if this is what you are referring too but "I don't think yer cracking up as they would say in the states" :) I remember seeing you post yesterday to a Harry? I recall it was an old post from 2009.

I looked back this morning for you and I believe it's in the early part of January. I hope this helps. This stayed with me because I remember thinking how odd these post seem lately here. It's like resurrecting some old things from the past to bring back to discussion. I have to think we have grown since then but maybe some newcomers are picking up these posts due to title searches or something.

    Have a good day!

    God Bless!!

  4. Oer GG How did I do that? - wot a relief! :)

Family stuff is :( today told 2nd son is not an atheist (because that is a religion) nor an agnostic, he just doesn't believe in religion and doesn't want to discuss it! Well, at least we can agree on religion - it has a lot to answer for.

Its been bad, but it is a step ahead as it explains so much! He is very troubled, and it seems I am his scape goat - so he still needs me :-\

Sadly I am not to have anything to do with his two girls as he doesn't want me to influence them. If Jesus tarries, they may choose to see their dotty old nan when they are old enough; I can keep in contact via birthdays, but I am bemused over CHRISTmas as he has said yes to their gifts?

There nowt so queer as folk!

Thank you so much GG; I was really puzzled over that. Too much on my plate - or I really am cracking up!
The good news is that my Emergent son and his wife do not agree that I am insane! Whoopie :-|

    God bless you.

  5. Dear Sue~

I am so sorry to hear you are being pressed down and shaken on all sides. You must be posing a HUGE threat to the evil one. Just think when we go home, the greatness of assignments the Lord will have for you while others are just beginning in their teachings. :)

I know it's so heartbreaking and we are almost there! Keep doing what you're doing with full well-rounded and sound biblical teachings showing both sides. You have the gift to lead. Many are lost and blind and it can be frustrating to both parties. I always think of those who came before me lovingly and with great patience to show me the way. I am finding if the lost only see one side of the equation they tend to lean toward their natural bent which is their understanding and not the Lords.

The Lord has so many hard and very tough lessons for us all but he always operates in his Agape Love and light. Something we humans can't grasp so we lean toward fear and intimidation to deliver messages or maybe even go that way with such shame that we don't think we are worthy of such precious love. The love he is trying to show us to bring his children to him in these last days.

Your teachings may be sound but their feelings may be guilt based instead of faith-based and if we operate [not saying you] but in general, in fear-based teachings then we are doing God's word a great dis-service all the way around.

Let's pray for the lost, confused and scared and that they will hold these precious teachings that they are given close to their hearts and work toward the Lords way and not backsliding to their earthly nature.

Hang in there Dear Sister..This too shall pass :)

    God Bless!!

  6. EI,
Concerning your son that "just doesn't believe in religion", you might possibly angle in with "I get a lot of encouraging comment from people that don't believe in "religion" also, because it always leaves one wondering which one is the true religion since they all claim to be it...

Without having to do a ton of burdensome research, how does one truly find out...

Why not just go back to the very 1st one ... what religion did Adam and Eve start, or have??

Most will say "I have no clue."

I respond: They didn't have or need a "religion" because they had an actual, walking, talking, face to face **relationship** with the Living God!

After the fall, Cain invented "religion" to pretend to be pious...a Great Hokus-pokus rigamarole to cover over his lack of having a relationship with God...a deception that is carried on to this very day in all the "religions" of the world.

Then I witness that Christ came & provided the only proper way to restore that **relationship** with the Father.

    Hope this helps...

  7. Scott,
Do you have any way to track these odd back-posters that have scrolled off the 'Recent' panel, like EI's response to "what's-his-face" yesterday??

I saw it drift by yesterday, but alas, I dint have time to flag it for future ref and so I fell down on my duty here...
    :(

Unfortunately GG responded promptly, cause I wasn't going to say anything for a while an' let EI continue thinking she wuz going daft...or rather, had arrived already...
    ;-D

  8. Beloved old Nofog WHAT would I do without ya?

Just exactly what I needs; not even one ounce of bloomin sympathy. :D

I shall keep your counsel bout Adam's relationship to the forefront of my thoughts, and IF son ever gives me a chance to reply, I shall deffo use it.

I am discovering that my sons are using my kind of reasoning - it is an odd feeling to hear meself talking back to meself with me own words through their mouths! Poor souls are more like their mother than they would ever want to admit! Ha! :)

    God bless my lovely bro.

  9. I'm sorry you're suffering so, Sue. It's not any consolation, I know . . .but I do understand what you're going through. Two of my children are Muslim . . .as are their spouses.

My daughter told me after the recent 5.6 earthquake in OK . . .her husband woke her up in the middle of the quake and as she felt the violent shaking, cried out "Mamma, Mamma!" Imagine what I was thinking when she told me this. One day, probably soon, her two precious daughters will be raptured and the first person she'll think to turn to in the crises is her momma. I'll be gone too. THIS is the scene that haunts my heart and mind each night as I go to sleep . . .and every day, my heart breaks more.

  11. Hello Robin

    ((Hug)) I feel for you!

The fear that binds folk to Islam can be broken by Christ's perfect Love that casts out all fear.
It is my fervent hope that the power of Islam is soon to be rendered null and void via the coming ME conflicts.

Jesus is already claiming many souls to Himself in the Islamic world. Amazing stories of Jesus revealing Himself personally to those caught in this evil trap. It is my prayer that Jesus will trouble the dreams of your family, by day and by night, and shake until Islam falls off its vaulted plinth and is reduced to rubble at their feet.

Heavenly Father, please draw every member of Robins family into the Kingdom of your beloved Son, Jesus Christ. Please grant Robin the knowledge of your assurance, peace and a renewed hope such as you have given to me about my family. I ask this Father, in the name of your Son Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, knowing with certainty; that you are not willing for any to perish and desire for all men everywhere to be saved, justified, by coming to the saving knowledge of your beloved Son. Please melt their hearts with your overflowing Love, send forth the Light of the world into their darkened souls, and draw each one of them into eternal life that is in Jesus Christ. Amen.

  12. Agreeing with you and thanking you for that beautiful prayer , EI, as it puts into words my concerns for my family members, as well.
May it be so for all of our lost or backslidden loved ones
