Analysis: What may be involved in an Israeli strike on Iran
Israel is believed to have a fully prepared plan to launch a strike, which would likely involve at least several hundred aircraft.
Over the past several days, Hebrew media reports have been engaged in intense speculation regarding a possible imminent Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear sites.
Defense Minister Ehud Barak appeared to have made a veiled reference to the issue again on Tuesday, when he told the Knesset that Israel may have to protect its vital interests alone, while other reports focused on comments by Interior Minister Eli Yishai, who stated this week that difficult decisions were “keeping him up at nights,” without elaborating further.
Israel is believed to have a fully prepared plan to launch such a strike, which would likely involve at least several hundred aircraft.
So has the Iran-Israel conflict reached the #1 spot on the "tipping point" scale?
Quite possibly; details are already being reviewed:
Multiple aerial routes are theoretically available for Israeli aircraft to reach targets in Iran. In all those paths though, the jets would likely have to either neutralize or evade radar systems of other countries along the route, as well as face the potential fallout that could follow an intrusion of foreign airspace.
Israel also possesses the advanced midair refueling capabilities required for carrying out sorties over multiple Iranian targets situated between 1,500 and 2,000 km.
Possible targets could include uranium- enrichment sites at Natanz and Qom, the uranium- conversion plant at Isfahan, and a heavy water reactor in Arak suspected of being used to pursue a plutoniumbased nuclear arms program, as well as additional facilities.
The Air Force, which according to foreign reports has gone on dry runs to practice such an attack on previous occasions over the past decade, would first have to neutralize Iran’s aerial defense capabilities, blind Iran’s radars, destroy command and control centers and paralyze Iran’s own air force for a while, before overcoming fortifications and special aerial defense measures placed by the Iranians around their nuclear sites. The operational challenge is vast.
The Air Force would in effect have to take temporary control over sections of Iran’s airspace before being able to target nuclear facilities, some of which are hidden in mountains or deep underground.
The mission would require the use of powerful bunker-busting bombs, as well as possible repeated strikes to ensure success.
According to a Newsweek article from September, the US has already transferred 55 such bombs to Israel.
And the concluding paragraph below looks like it was lifted directly from the pages of Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17:
However, such a strike would undoubtedly touch off conflict with Iran’s proxy in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah, which is armed with tens of thousands of rockets, as well as Hamas in Gaza, and possibly with Syria. The resulting chain of events could easily lead to a major regional war and long-term instability, so much so that some senior Israeli defense figures have reportedly been rejecting the idea of attacking Iran for years.
Indeed.
In addition to the above, Debka has an article showing how close we are to one of the other tipping points, Syria:
NATO squeezes Assad: A Syrian uranium enrichment plant "discovered"
Basically this article describes Syria's previous quest for nuclear weapon capability, but the article takes a turn and concludes with this highly germane information - information which gains importance in the context of Syria's threats to attack Israel if there is any 'foreign' intervention in their affairs:
Turkey for example is directly involved in supporting the Syrian revolt against the Assad regime by laying on weapons and training and allowing rebel leaders to operate cross-border command centers on its soil.
Qatar, which is not a NATO member but was closely associated with the alliance operation in Libya, is a major purveyor of arms and funding for Syria's anti-regime fighters. In the operation against Muammar Qaddafi, the Qataris became expert in the management of revolts against Arab dictatorships and accustomed to working in close sync with NATO intelligence and military arms.
This last quote deserves to be bolded:
Whether or not NATO intervenes in Syria is no longer a question. It already has, in one way or another. The question is when will Assad decide that Western intervention has reached a level warranting delivery on his threat to burn the Middle East?
Watching prophecy unfold exactly as one would expect, based on the writings of God's prophets 2,500 years ago is nothing short of astounding.
Recent news (and there are far too many to even begin quoting here) can be put side by side with the prophetic scriptures and the parallel is something that could only come directly from God.
As the apostle Peter said, just after describing certain events that he had seen with his own eyes and heard with his own ears:
"And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God..."
(2 Peter 1:19-21)
Wow, that IS astounding . . .and just like when Jesus walked the earth and so many who saw the miracles He performed, continued to reject Him . . .so it is today. All the signs as plain as day . . .yet the world ignores them . . .but carries forward, following the script in precise detail.
ReplyDeleteWith US troops scheduled to be out of Iraq by year's end . . .and the US wheeling and dealing in an effort to scare up another staging area in the Gulf, I'm sure the US would prefer to delay the attack a little longer . . .but as we know, the Bible says Israel will go it alone. The burden on Netanyahu's shoulders tonight must be so great.
Some Christians don't even see significance in Israel's existence today. The pending war won't change the hardened hearts.
ReplyDeleteA recent poll in Europe determined that the majority of Europeans see Israel as the biggest threat to world peace, beating out Iran and North Korea.

DR Who, I've had that discussion with my Seventh Day Adventist brother who is dead set against Israel existing as a nation. He even uses the "Zionist Christian" type rhetoric whenever he talks about Christians who stand by Israel. As far as I'm concerned it's the same anti-semetic talk (low level though) that was going on just before WW2. I'll be honest with you as well; I try to avoid him as I don't wish to get caught up in his way of thinking. That's sad but I can see clear lines in the dirt and they are being crossed.
ReplyDeleteWRT Israel attacking Iran wouldn't the Russians not allow this to happen? I'm sure I read an article last week in which the Russians are said to be increasing their presence in the middle east.
Something else that's bothering me. How come Obama is against Israel but is working behind the scene's to support them. Congress is also supporting Israel as well which is against Obama who is pro muslim. David
It will all HAPPEN, given time...
ReplyDeleteBut not YET....
WHY ??
Stocks are up again tonite, thats right, they are up......as well as
commodities, they are ALL UP....
It appears to be JUST a short term
rally to retrace the recent drop
over the last 48 hours.
LETS HOPE SO.....
cause any FURTHER bulling may
change the wave counts back
to new highs above 12,000....
12,284 is critical...
any RUN UP above there and you
may be looking at 13,000....
stay tuned.

ReplyDeleteWhat is the significance of the numbers you listed? There is so much information coming so fast that I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around all of it.
Thanks!
Hi Sister Robin, :)
ReplyDeleteYes indeed, Israel will go it alone :( This just AMAZED me yesterday, to see this article from the JP. Gods Word is so True!At least some are opening sharing there thoughts the realization that they are alone :(
Little do they know of whats to come...:(

ReplyDeletePalestinians Lose Much of Internet, Phone Service after Hacking
By Ed Silverstein, TMCnet Contributor
Much of the Gaza and the West Bank is without Internet and phone service Tuesday after an apparent hacking attack on Palestinian servers, according to news reports.
The AFP said the attack came from “hackers from around the world,” Mashur Abu Daqqa, the Palestinian communications minister claims.
"Since this morning all Palestinian IP addresses have come under attack from places across the world," Abu Daqqa told AFP on Tuesday.
“I think from the manner of the attack and its intensity that there is a state behind it, and it is not spontaneous," he added. "Israel could be involved as it announced yesterday that it was considering the kind of sanctions it would impose on us.”
Abu Daqqa said the websites were attacked in an “organized” way apparently by using “mirror servers.”
Also, the attack was targeted at the Paltel telephone network, according to news reports.
The Israelis, the United States and several other nations were opposed to this week’s action which gave the Palestinians full membership at UNESCO. The action led to the United States cutting its member funding to UNECSO.
In addition, the Yeshiva World News reported that in 2006 Darknet reported that Israeli hackers targeted the Palestinians.
“Calling themselves IDF, the hackers disrupted dozens of Palestinian sites, erasing the site content and replacing it with their own photos with the caption: ‘You touch Israel, We touch you,’” Yeshiva World News reported about the prior incident.
In its analysis of the current situation, a BBC News reporter based in Ramallah claims that, “Palestinian business will be badly affected by a lengthy loss of access to the phone and internet.”
It was also reported by the AFP that Palestinian officials protected the region’s banking system.
Last year, it was speculated that either Israel or the United States was behind a computer worm Stuxnet

Dave, you brought up an interesting question. But while it may appear Obama is supporting Israel behind the scenes, I think a good case could be made that its just a ruse. I feel strongly that his ultimate goal, mirrors that of the rest of the Arab world . . .wipe Israel off the map. Of course, the American people would never stand for that. . .so he'll attempt to accomplish his goal by instigating other nations in the region to do it for him.
ReplyDeleteIt's been reported he has members of the Muslim Brotherhood working in his administration . . .as well as sympathizes on his own cabinet. The Bible tells us Israel will go it alone . . .I don't see the US rushing in to assist
her.
GCHQ chief reports 'disturbing' cyber-attacks on UK
ReplyDelete31 October 2011 Last updated at 16:14
Cyber attacks on the UK are at "disturbing" levels, according to the director of Britain's biggest intelligence agency.
Government computers, along with defence, technology and engineering firms' designs have been targeted, Iain Lobban, the head of GCHQ, has said.
China and Russia are thought to be among the worst culprits involved in cyber attacks.

Are we already in a World Wide War – in cyber space?
Sue
Hi Sister Sue, :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this article! :) Interesting indeed! On one hand, there are alot of upset Israelis, so for independent "hackers" to do this shouldn’t surprise us. This is really evident when you start reading the comments sections of the articles on JP. Wow! Israelis are angry, not at just Hamas, but especially Iran.
But on the other hand, taking out communications of an enemy, is a usually a prelude to an attack?
They know if they go for Iran, they will be attacked on multiple fronts, which is exactly what God describes in His Word. So perhaps they will take out one of those "fronts" aka Hamas, before going for Iran.
Hmmm...add that to comments this week from this JP article, where the "gov't will weigh toppling Hamas if terror continues".
“Netanyahu on Escalation: "There is no cease fire in South"”
"At weekly cabinet meeting in Safed, PM says terrorists will pay high price until attacks stop; Steinitz says gov't will weigh toppling Hamas if terror continues; Barak warns Hamas: Don't test us."
http://www.jpost.com/DiplomacyAndPolitics/Article.aspx?id=243739
Israel may have shockingly changed their minds with the prisoner deal, because they know they will probably destroy alot of these terrorists when they take out Hamas...just a thought...
It is just amazing to witness all of this unfold! Gods Word is so True!!!
God Bless You Sis! :hug
G’Day Brother Dave,
ReplyDeleteIm sorry to hear about your Brother, I know how painful that can be with family members. As for the Russians, they have been deeply embedded with many of Israel’s enemies in the ME for decades. The Russians have BILLIONS invested in Syria, Iraq, Iran…the list goes on! They have even supplied the mythical “palestinians” with military equipment. Hamas! Russia rebuilt a Navel port for themselves in Syria. Wow, that was amazing. Here is an article about that from October 2008.
“ From Syrian Fishing Port To Naval Power Base: Russia Moves Into the Mediterranean”
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/oct/08/syria.russia
This is why, by the time the dust and smoke settles after the horrific Isaiah 17 war, Russia will invade in a retaliatory response to the massive destruction of their allies and their invested assets in those nations. After God steps in at the end of the Isaiah 17 war, to prevent His People from being completely wiped out, He “rebukes” those close nations that had rushed into to finish her off, and these enemies “flee a far off”. Where do they go? The remnant survivors of these evil enemies of Israel run to “Gog” their ally like wounded bear cubs to mama bear joining the other tagalongs that have gathered. As they and others gather with Gog, and Gods Word tells us that He assigns Gog at their protector. As God orchestrates both Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38, He is rounding them all up so as to speak, to bring them into Israel, so as to personally destroy them in the Ezekiel 38 war.
Ezekiel 38:7
7.Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
As for the WH occupier, the prototype of the ac to come, remember its all about him, and what promotes him, helps him. There is something going on with him and our military. He has been, and still is anti-military! Personally, I believe he gave the green light to Special Ops to go around the world and take out high profile targets. Why did he do this? He uses it for his credit, and he being a coward, thinks this puffs him up in the eyes of the public. He then firmly decides to bring all the troops home, which again, he thinks makes him look good. It was if he said to the military “ok, hears the back ally deal, Ill let you go take out as many terrorist targets as you want, but in return, Im going against your Generals recommendations, and bringing all the troops home…you have until Dec.” This bringing the troops home by Dec, could also be that he knows whats coming down the line with perhaps, and I mean perhaps, Israel attacking Iran, and in his demented mind, it wouldn’t “look good” if we were involved with that.
The fact that we know that the “behind the scenes” supposed “support” for Israel, tells us its not so much of a secret. He has it leaked to the public, so as to appease the Jewish Vote in this country. Basically, he is attempting to have the Jewish Vote (again its all about him), while at the same time treating Israel with complete treachery! He is a not so closeted muslim supporter.
God Bless!
Robin Mrs C thanks for your info. That makes sense what you both said. I can see the logic of running back to Russia after letting Israel devistate your country and joining into a massive force to counter Israel's attacks. They all know Israel will attack them. What better excuse for joining forces against their so-called agressor Israel and drive them into the sea as they have said.
ReplyDeleteI must admit Mrs C I thought I would never see America Governed by a (soon to be) corrupt Muslim dictator. God help America in this time of need please grant the people faith in Jesus Christ before it's too late for their souls. God Bless All.
