The news below comes with the usual caveats regarding various web sites used for news updates. In this instance, there is corroboration with the N.Y. Times (for whatever that is worth) - and comes with a healthy dose of common sense.
Take a look at the videos and some of the obvious points contained within. Something didn't seem right about this "plot" from the minute the news was released and as stated yesterday it was very coincidental that the news broke on the same day that Attorney General Holder was issued a very damning Subpoena:
FBI Insider: Obama Administration Likely Manufactured Dubious Terror Plot
Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Shaffer says that an FBI insider told him the dubious terror plot to assassinate a Saudi ambassador which has been blamed on Iran was likely manufactured by the Obama administration, because no information about the plot even exists within FBI channels.
The plot, an assassination attempt against Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the United States, Adel al-Jubeir, was pinned on an Iranian-American used-car salesman from Texas and subsequently linked by the Obama administration to a wider conspiracy controlled by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.
According to the administration, used car salesman Mansour J. Arbabsiar tried to hire assassins from a Mexican drug gang to carry out the murder, but the head of the drug gang turned out to be a DEA agent posing as a Mexican Los Zetas gangster. The story has all the hallmarks of classic FBI entrapment tactics that have characterized almost every major terror bust in recent times.
Having personally interrogated Iranians, Shaffer doubted the fact that members of the elite Quds Force would risk carrying out an assassination in the United States when it would be far easier to conduct such a plot in the middle east.
That seems obvious. There is more below:
‘There’s nothing on this within the DOJ beyond what they’ve talked about publicly’ – which means to him that there’s something very wrong with it,” said Shaffer.
The military-industrial complex has long been searching for a pretext that could be used to justify military strikes against Iran.
In a 2009 report entitled “Which Path to Persia?”, the elitist Brookings Institution wrote, “It would be far more preferable if the United States could cite an Iranian provocation as justification for the airstrikes before launching them. Clearly, the more outrageous, the more deadly, and the more unprovoked the Iranian action, the better off the United States would be.”
Does this indicate that war could be on the horizon?
Or is it quite simply this:
It has also served as a useful distraction for Attorney General Eric Holder, who is currently under investigation for his role in the infamous Fast and Furious program, which saw the federal government deliver thousands of military-grade weapons to leaders of Mexican drug gangs.
As stated so many times before, we are living in an era in which the truth is very elusive.
Pepe Escobar: Iranian plot was an inside job
A US government informant acting as a member of the Zetas, a drug cartel in Mexico, helped thwart an Iranian plot to assassinate the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States on American soil. Now Obama’s top national security aides are seeking new international sanctions against Iran. Pepe Escobar, correspondent for the Asia Times, tells us who’s to gain from the situation.
This article has another interesting video which is worth watching.

“…it would be far more preferable if the United States could cite an Iranian provocation as justification for the airstrikes before launching them. Clearly, the more outrageous, the more deadly, and the more unprovoked the Iranian action, the better off the United States would be. Of course, it would be very difficult for the United States to goad Iran into such a provocation without the rest of the world recognizing this game, which would then undermine it.
The cartoonish nature of the plot and the arms’ length even its proponents treat it with to maintain plausible deniability is indicative of a dangerously out of control ruling elite and an utterly incompetent, criminally insane government.
That the current “alleged” plot pinned on Iran revolves around yet another undercover federal agency conducting a long-term sting operation defies belief. That we are expected to believe one of Iran’s most elite military forces left such a sensitive, potentially war-starting operation to a used-car salesman and a drug gang reported in the papers daily for its involvement with US government agencies (and who turns out to actually be undercover DEA agents) is so ridiculous...
Iran Rejects US Claims of Saudi Plot
Iranian officials have strongly denounced U.S. allegations of a Tehran-linked plot to kill a Saudi diplomat in the United States. Some in Iran are arguing that the case has been fabricated to provoke a military confrontation with the Islamic Republic.
The reaction from Tehran has been swift and categorical. A foreign ministry statement drove home the denials, condemning the U.S. claims as baseless and warning against the repetition of what it called "politically motivated allegations."
Saeed Laylaz, a political analyst in Tehran, said the case will take already fraught relations between the U.S. and Iran to a whole new level.
Laylaz said even ahead of this accusation, he saw the possibility of a military confrontation between the two countries. He said he imagines the latest incident is potentially laying the groundwork for a U.S. propaganda campaign against Iran.
And below, we see yet another source who is questioning this entire "plot" and what we are being told:
Associate Editor Max Fisher of The Atlantic spoke to VOA via Skype, saying, “It's certainly plausible that Iran might want to assassinate a Saudi official, but this kind of operation is pretty serious in size and scope, and the ramifications it would have for Iran's policy. And it's just not clear what they would get out of it. It's not clear why they would want to blow up the Saudi ambassador to the U.S. And, in fact, there are reasons to believe it would go against Iran's interests.”

This story is getting more and more interesting. Now it will be worth watching to see what additional news sources pick up on this evolving story, and more importantly, where this scenario is headed.
Stay tuned, there is certainly more to come.
While Iran has a long history of threats to the US . . .this particular time, at least, I've believed there was something fishy about this story from the start.
ReplyDeleteOn another front, looks like Reuters is finally reporting the Soros connection to the Occupy Fill n the Blank Movement:

Morning :)
ReplyDeleteOk, lets see what we have :)
Its obvious that Holder sat on this info in an attempt to distract from being served, but I believe thats the extent of it.
Judge Napolitano in the video, makes a slight comment that concerns me, as he suggested that there was no WMDs in Iraq. His retired military guest is questionable also, and does manage to plug his book. He states that his "inside" friend found nothing about this incident, and that "he has clearance". Well, there are different levels of "clearance", and his "inside" friend obviously didnt know about "fast and furious" for example, and if he did, why didnt he blow the whistle on it.
We know for a fact, that terrorist are crossing, and have been crossing the pores boarders from Mexico. We know, that Iran, Hezbollah is set up in South America! The drug cartels have now become terrorists themselves. We can see that in the many, many murders they commit, and adding a ME signature, they behead their victims. Hmmm wonder where they got that idea from.
This Iranian/U.S. Citizen, was in Mexico, and thats a fact. Why was he in Mexico in the first place?
It is by no means a stretch that this guy was a terrorist for Iran. Terrorists made their plans clear years ago. They stated they would assimilate into the U.S. society. They were encouraged to even marry Christians! And then wait as sleeper cells. Look how long they waited to attack the Twin Towers a second time!
There is something very fishy about waiting two weeks, making the announcement, and then the State Dept. jumps in on the same day and announces a world wide warning for American travelers.
If the DOJ knew about this plot, why not tell the State Dept and issue the world wide travel warning earlier? Hmmmm...
Where is the CIA in all this?
the former Israeli Ambassador and John Bolton. Both seem to feel very strongly, that this guy was working on behalf of Iran. This is typical of Iran, using covers (Hamas, Hezbollah for example) to do their dirty work. Hamas is celebrating, and now is stating they can take another Israeli soldier if they want to any time.
What do we have here?
We have the Iranian/U.S. citizen assassin captured when? two weeks ago.
Then we have Bibi suddenly striking a deal with Hamas when? a week ago. After years of staunchly refusing to exchange terrorist prisoners for Gilad Shalit, now he just agrees? Not only Bibi, but the original headline on JP said that the IDF, and MOSSAD were also on board with this deal. As Bibi served in an elite commando unit. He knows very well the decree “Leave no man behind”. Sometimes this does not happen, but every effort, sometimes at great risk, is made to bring every soldier home.
If your about to go to war, you would want to clean up any loose ends if possible, such as a soldier being held by enemy combatants. Especially a soldier that is so high profile.
A thousand terrorists prisoners released matters not, when you have your soldier home safely, and your about to possibly kill all the terrorists you just let loose.
Israel could very well now have the green light from DC and the Saudi's to go after Iran. obummer will be under pressure to explain the open boarders to Mexico, that has allowed terrorists into the U.S. etc. Being the coward that he is, and so very consumed with himself only, he could easily now give the ok to Israel to take the risk of attacking Iran. The U.S. is now in no position to go into Iran at all. As Israel knows full well that Hamas, Hezbollah are just extensions of Iran, they fully expect to be attacked on multiple fronts should they attack Iran.
Retrieving their soldier, was a possible preparation for this act against Iran...
God Bless!
A used car salesman? I wonder who "found" this guy? Seriously, I know they have a bad reputation historically ... so this kind of elevates the profession IMO. lol
ReplyDeleteAnd from Rick Perry's state nonetheless. Perry, who's gaining popularity as a potential Republican party nominee, now has to deal with the far reaching effects of Chicago style thuggery.
ReplyDeleteGearedup, actually Perry seems to be fading fast. Drudge just listed the latest polls and they had Cain and Romney tied at 29% each and Gingrich in 3rd at 10%. Perry had fallen down to 4th place followed by Paul in 5th and Bachmann 6th.
ReplyDeleteMy two favorites are Cain and Bachmann. Both conservatives and both I believe are Christians.
To me Perry and Romney are RINO's and Paul is bad on Israel and Santorum does not seem electable at this point.
But with all that said it may be a moot point if we are raptured prior to the election. I think that is a real possibility at the current rate of birth pains.
I'm still looking up.
Perhaps even today.
Maranatha!

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/world/africa-mideast/obamas-bomb-deal-with-israel-raises-the-spectre-of-war/article2184424/
Anon, I have to take exception with any news story that opens with this line:
ReplyDelete**
Barack Obama may be widely regarded at home as the least pro-Israeli president in decades, but he has secretly okayed giving the Jewish state a bunch of special bunker-busting bombs – ideal for destroying Tehran’s ruling mullahs’ nuclear ambitions and so powerful that George W. Bush blocked handing them over.
**
That Obama is the least Pro-Israeli President in decades, isn't even a question. In fact, I'd go so far to see he's ANTI-Israeli, just based on his words/actions to date.
This whole story isn't so much about the prospects of war (though I believe the journalists may have swerved into it) but about propping up a failing President who's Jewish base is falling away like flies.
Furthermore . . .that Obama is providing these weapons when George W. Bush wouldn't, as the story states . . .isn't indicative of a possible Jewish sympathizer on Obama's part . . .but rather Obama manipulating a major war which Bush fought to avoid, in the Middle East. Israel will use the weapons to take out Iran's nukes, Iran and Syria will retaliate . . .Russia gets involved . . .major war breaks out and Soros's plot to take over the world's economy comes to fruition.
Anon :)
ReplyDeleteForgive me, but the writer for the linked article you presented, is grossly in error as far as facts are concerned, apparently to promote obummer. As Bibi has stated, the MSM seems to not have a memory past their breakfast.
President Bush already provided a huge amount of these bombs YEARS ago. In fact, before he left office, he quietly provided Israel with a stock pile of weapons. Most likely, because he saw who was coming into the WH
The F-15 (that article referred to) is used, but they also have another aircraft. The Israeli's have a fleet of F-16I's or "Sufa". They had ordered them years ago, with special modifications and I quote;
" The long-awaited Israeli F-16I Sufa (‘Storm') rolled off Lockheed Martin's production line in Texas last week into the waiting hands of Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz, who was on scene to receive the new aircraft, the first of 102 ordered by Jerusalem -16in 1997.
Three squadrons of the new aircraft are expected to be operational from the Ramon airbase deep inside the Negev by 2008 with the first strike aircraft arriving next month.
The Sufa jet has an unrefueled combat strike radius well in excess of 500 miles. The extended flight range enables the IAF to attack targets well within Iran and Libya without having to refuel."
With the Sufa (which interestingly means Storm), Israel can reach Iran without refueling.
God Bless!

WV, I'm a Cain and Bachman fan myself and they are shining brighter with each debate. However, you have to remember that the MSM is painting a different picture and pushing Romney front and center. :-/ Also, Perry has a proverbial bullseye painted on him for his stance on immigration, which may seem lax to the conservative but may be a point of contention to this administration.
ReplyDeletePerry is for the superhighway between Mexico and connecting with Canada, and has long been rumored to be connected with the "build-a-burgers" :) Also favors a NAU.....I can't support Perry on that basis along.
ReplyDeletegearedup, no doubt about where the heart of the MSM lies...but with them annointing Romney and Perry as the proverbial front runners from the get go makes it all the more pleasing that both seem to be faltering. I can't see the Tea party supporting either. I'm just a little tired of the PTTB picking our leaders for us. People are either blind or stupid for the most part. I guess we are indeed sheep. sigh...So glad I found Jesus as my great shephard!
