Turkey Sending Warships to Gaza: An Act of War?

This breaking story should be getting a lot more attention by the MSM, and it may in the coming days.

The recent actions by Turkey, who is now threatening to send warships into the region - represent a significant escalation of tension and rhetoric, and may even be seen as an act of war:

Turkey: Warships to Escort Gaza-Bound Vessels

Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan threatened Thursday to dispatch Turkish warships to escort aid ships from his country to Hamas-ruled Gaza.

Erdogan also said that Turkey had taken steps to stop Israel from unilaterally exploiting natural resources from the eastern Mediterranean, according to Al Jazeera's Arabic translation of excerpts of the interview, which was conducted in Turkish.

Erdogan's comments came as Turkey downgraded diplomatic ties with Israel and heated up rhetoric against the Jewish State in the aftermath of the publication of the UN Palmer Commission report on the Mavi Maramara raid and Israel's refusal to answer Turkish demands to apologize for the incident.

The following quotes reveal just how close war is approaching:

Dispatching warships to violate Israel's blockade would almost certainly be regarded as an Act of War in Jerusalem and could lead to a naval showdown akin to the US-Russian confrontation during the Cuban Missile Crisis in October 1962.

Turkey and Egypt will hold a joint naval exercise at the end of the year, according to an unconfirmed report in Egyptian news Web site 'Masrawy' Thursday.

Erdogan will make an official visit to Cairo next week and meet with high-ranking Egyptian officials in a bid to strengthen strategic and business relations between the two countries

What is Turkey doing? Their provocation of Israel has been steadily increasing over the last several weeks and now they are threatening to send in warships?

Naval showdown?
Confrontation?
Act of War?

The situation between Israel and Turkey is deteriorating rapidly and is most definitely worth watching closely in the coming weeks - just like so many of the other signs that we are following now.

  3. Hello Scott

Much to my surprise, I just managed to catch the end of a report on the Turkey warship to support the flotilla against the Gaza blockade.
Quote “Turkey aims to stop Israel from exploiting the Mediterranean’s natural resouces”.

Sounds like they are determined to find any reason to cause trouble! imo.

Also caught this sad news about Tripoli Zoo in Syria. The animals are in the middle of a ‘war zone’ and suffering for it. The Water and Power have been cut off and the animals are very hungry. They are dependent upon locals to bring them what food they can. Imagine trying to a couple of elephants from starvation and thirst; even the drugs they need, kept in fridges, have spoiled when the power went. Assad would make a substantial meal for a couple of lions.

    Maranatha!

  4. Hi Sue, I'm catching the same things as you.

This is, beyond a doubt, an act of war helping to run that blockade. Ya know, the aim is to force Israel to completely back down or to start a shooting event.

As to the "natural resource" gas fields, words just fail me.

My heart breaks, thinking about the frustration they must feel in the Israeli government, military and intelligence services. They have no right answer....no matter how honorable and gracious and self sacrificing.

Ever action or inaction will be turned against them.

I'm not sure if a date has been set, but the general tone of the articles made it sound relatively soon.

There is more on this today, I'm getting ready to update the situation - stay tuned!

  7. Hello Scott

I have just snitched the following morsal off L&L by Rodney that I found thought provoking!

"The plan involves replacing current regime leadership with Al Qaeda and/or Muslim Brotherhood in an effort to foster a regional war. The operation in Egypt and Libya is a success, Syria and Jordan is still a work in progress.

The ultimate plan is to corner Israel to be forced to impliment "OPERATION SAMSON". Turkey will be the foremost puppet of this plan."

As I said, Israel has certainly been very vocal about O.S. - could be...?

Absolutely - I agree with this assessment.
Meanwhile, the world continues to 'sleep' through what is really happening in the world. Its amazing
