Syria Claims Israeli Weapons Discovery

This story could initially seem like a minor, insignificant incident, but upon reflection, it could end up being a very big story - one that could even be used as an excuse to attack Israel.

For several months now, various news reports have been suggesting the possibility that Syrian leadership may seek a diversion from their internal problems, and of course Israel would represent the most obvious "diversion". Couple that with the Syrian obsession over the Golan Heights, and one could expect to see some form of diversion directed towards Israel.

In that context we look at this recent news story.

Syria Claims to Have Found Israeli Weapons in Horns

Syria claims authorities have found a vehicle loaded with Israeli-made ammunition used by anti-regime protesters.

The authorities in the Syrian governorate of Homs have seized Israeli ammunition, the state news agency SANA reported on Monday.

According to the report, a Peugeot 404 car loaded with amounts of weapons including Israeli weapons, explosive devices, ammunition and stolen military uniforms was discovered.

A military source told SANA that while searching the car, the authorities found an Israeli-made machine gun, hand grenades, including an Israeli grenade and some explosive devices, two of which are set for radio controlled detonation. In addition to that, the source claimed, four explosive devices were also seized.

It seems very unlikely that Israel would take such an enormous risk on such minor weapons, as their covert abilities would far exceed some small operation like this. Additionally, if Israel were to be involved in these uprisings (which is unlikely, given that the current uprisings, if successful, would only lead to a more radical anti-Israeli regime - see Egypt, Lebanon, Libya etc.), they would do so in a far more sophisticated, covert and significant manner.

Rather, this looks much more like a set-up by the current Syrian regime - and if that is the case, we can expect to see a big deal made out of this. One can only wonder what the long-term goal of such a set-up would be.

There was no confirmation of these findings anywhere else.

Interesting.

And this:

The Syrian government has been cracking down on anti-regime protesters and has often blamed foreign forces for inciting the protests. The authorities have more than once claimed that “terrorists who threaten us” are the reason for the full mobilization of military forces in Syria.

And below we may see what amounts to the bottom line, especially if this situation is indeed a set-up framing Israel:

This report might be an attempt to blame Israel for being behind an attempt to overthrow President Bashar Assad.

This story will be worth following very closely for further developments.

Expect to see an "official statement" by Syria in the coming days, if not hours - condemning Israel for inciting these riots and providing weapons to the insurgents.

Something just isn't right about this story.

It certainly doesn't seem likely that Israel would risk international condemnation and possible war with Syria over a few weapons (small enough to put in a Peugeot), explosive devices and some ammunition.

As stated, Israel has nothing to gain by these uprisings, which are led by radical Islamic groups similar to what has been seen in Egypt and Libya - and such instability in Syria is much more threatening to Israel. It makes no sense that Israel would assist the very same radical elements who would seek any opportinity to attack Israel.

Also compare this situation, to the extremely elaborate and sophisticated covert operations that Israel uses in Iran. A few loose weapons packed into a car such as this would be considered insulting to Israeli intelligence and military.

The obvious question then becomes - why would this story be planted by Syria?

The answers to that question are quite ominous.

We need to see what happens next. I have a feeling this is just the beginning of this story.

  1. Like many of you, I am greatly troubled by the thoughts of beloved family and friends and coworkers who are not ready and are not really interested in knowing what will soon come to pass .
Yet, I am comforted by this memory: a few years back we lost electricity and the only light in the house was a little battery operated Christmas decoration. We never noticed that little decoration before, but once the lights were out, that little battery operated decoration shone so brightly in the darkness. It's little light helped us to find our way (to the closet to get our flashlights).
I think that is similar to how this earth may be someday soon, but there will still be enough Light to help some people "find their Way." Diane

  2. BAD NEWS, SORRY TO SAY >>>>>

I need to face reality about this:

    so I will

There is a WAVE COUNT on the DJII that indicates a prolonged rally
up to 13,000 or HIGHER.....the key
will be IF bulls can take this market above 11,600 in the near
    future.

IF SO, such a bull move would
prolong the end, sad to say.
NOT that it was ever prolonged,
but that it ALWAYS was that way.

People can think what they want of
    this, but I FACE reality.

If we rally into 2012, and the church is STILL here by X MAS,
    do not be surprised.

  3. This just kinds of blows your mind....the fact that something so trivial and miniscule in reality could even show up as a story worthy of printing. Such a small amount of armament and absolutely nothing tieing them back to Israel except the point of manufacture. Shucks, there's nothing there I can't purchase here in town today if needed.

Yet, here it is and there Syria is, making something of it.

I think we all expected the "kick off" to be something minor and trivial in the whole scheme of things.....but shucks...if this is it... Well, trivial is one thing and microscopic is another....yet who knows. These ain't rational times and Syria may be looking awful hard for a reason to put the game in play.

    Oh well.....

  4. Stephen, I am not saying something will or won't happen before Christmas, but I am not putting my trust in the market trends to set things in motion since it is probably not a true picture anyway. All that said, I believe in a powerful God that does not operate within the constraints of a market rally. He could change things in a moment, up one minute down the next. In Him alone do I place my trust. Be prepared always.

  5. Syria is just looking for ways to take the international eyes off of her, but blame on Israel and give Syria a license to continue toward these small towns and villages and blow the place up. This small cache of weapons is more like kindergarden toys compared to the highly secretive demolition of the nuclear site in Syria several years ago by Israel.

  7. Isn't Damascus in Syria? For some reason when I was reading this, Isaiah 17 popped into my head. Obviously can't confirm anything, but seems like this could lead to this being fulfilled. Just a thought.

  8. Stephen,

The bible says it will be as it was in the days of Noah. Business as usual. People will not be hiding in caves from enemies or trying their best to survive or scrounging around for food. Even in a EMP attack, I don't think people will be sharing the Gospel as much, as they will also be in survival mode. I'm sure Noah had an opportunity to share the truth with those who were willing to listen and had many chances, even right before the flood to do so. We all are experiencing the ridicule that Noah had right before the flood.

But what do you think will happen to the world economy when 200+ million people all of a sudden vanish from the face of the planet with just as many traces (clothes, false teeth, glass eyes and prothesis of any kind)?

  9. Jec it is estimated now that there are between 80-100 million believers alone in China. That would most likely make them the largest Christian nation in the world.

My denomination alone, Christain and Missionary Alliance has 1.2 million Christians just in Vietnam. Grace and Ed Thompson alsong with Ruth Wilting, CMA missionaries gave there lives during the Tet offensive while working in the mountains with the Mong people group. Their deaths are credited for luanching a great revival in the Country.

We might be surprised how many brothers and sisters we have world wide. The overseas CMA church drawfs the mother church here in America.

  10. WV, maybe there is more like 1B+ saved? The more people saved here in the USA, the more devastation there will be. Also, don't you think that China would absorb a loss like that better than the USA? Just kind of wondering here.

  11. Seth, yeppers. Damascus is gone right in the front of Isiah 17 and then the nations that follow in judgment.

Check the surrounding countries of Israel headed by rabid anti Israel governments and those just not friendly to Israel. I think you will find those that just dislike Israel are in one stage or another of being overthrown and replaced by the Muslim Brotherhood.....that hates Israel.

For sure, Isiah 17 is being set up now.

  12. Jec, yes I agree. I think because of the huge population compared to the number of saved in China they will be less affected than America by the rapture. The proportion of saved to total population will see to that.

The other thing to consider Jec, in America I think there are a lot of believrs in key positions like medicine, business, government, military, education, service, engineers and farming that will cripple the US post rapture.

I am thinking we could loose upwards of 20% of our population which would be 60,000,000 souls. Even 10% would be 30,000,000! That is a lot of production, default on mortages and loss of prime tax base. It will be devastating.

  14. Sorry Val but that is some false teaching you are promoting. It won't fly here. Universalism and interpreting the Bible any way but literally will lead you down some paths that are broad and not the narrow path Jesus taught. That which you are preaching is warned about in the last days.

  15. Val.
OK, I'll play along. How do you interpret 1 Thess 4:16 and 1 Cor 15?

I'll have more questions to follow-up. I assume this is the usual "hit and run" but I want to give you an opportunity for dialog. Plus I am that confident in the scriptures. Lets see if you have that same level of confidence in your view...

I'll give it through tonight, but good money says you are a hit and run driver :)

  17. And Val, wonderful thoughts about what did and did not enter the heart of God......but got a question...Since His ways are not our ways, how did you make this determination? In fact, the balance of scripture, when not cherry picked, seems to say quite the opposite.

  18. Val,
Please come back, and don't run from the truth. That is what the enemy wants you to do. Don't let him decieve you. The realization of that deception is death, and after that to face judgement. You will be lost forever my friend. If your left behind and still have not come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, then your second chance will be at the second coming (if you end up lasting that long). After these two chances, if you are not saved, then you will be lost forever. Won't you please let the good folks here reason with you a bit. We promise to love on you and show you the truth. Beating you up is not our intentions at all. Jesus Christ loves you and we only want to show you the true Jesus.

Sister, you need to stop relying on the false teachers. The world is full of them, just like we were told it would be.

Just get your Bible, some quiet time, ask Him to teach you and start studying. Those that cherry pick scripture to get the message they want are NOT doing anyone any favors other than the dark one.

  20. Hi Scott~
I hope this posting finds you and all my brothers and sisters here doing well today. With many things starting to truly come together; I wanted you all to know that I am thinking of you and praying for you all daily. You are all close to my heart :)

Though I am not posting much these days, it is due to a culmination of things happening here and around me daily. These things that have caused me to take a step back and seek greater wisdom in some much needed reflection and introspection time. It has been wonderful to say the least.

I noticed you are getting some "hit and run's" as you call them. I hope that many will come to share openly and safely with others here and not feel they have to hide. In the spring I sent out what I call 'Love Notes' to friends. I did share your site. It has been no secret that I have among me family members who are not saved, sadly some who seem to share the thinking I saw posted yesterday by Val. I pray that none of these are them not willing to step up and have a gentle conversation and to share their insights and to learn from us too. I felt compelled to apologize to you if that is the case. Only in time God will reveal who these people are. We will have the opportunity for many revelations when we finally arrive home :) Auh..I cannot wait until this glorious day arrives.

In the meantime, I will respond to Val but with the help of the Holy Spirit he did show me that many are truly ignorant in these last days; especially where sound doctrine is concerned. There seems to be a gap from coming to know Jesus and professing his glorious word. It is with this that many tend to"'cherry pick" as I believe WVBorn and Mr. C previously mentioned. They feel they know of God so that is enough and yet so many things get convoluted and distorted to say the least. I loved how JEC gently stepped up there to help and I pray that the ones who are "hitting and running" will stick around in love and try to truly learn what can save your lives in these last days.

For all those who are struggling with illnesses among them and family members, I have been praying hard for you through the posts coming in. I am trying to spend less time in speculation and working on a few assignments the Lord has had for me. Two of which he has strongly pressed upon my heart that I have been working at :

    1) Get your proverbial house in order upon my arrival. Since I have many who are not saved and will be gladly coming around to see what is left behind, so to speak. I am using this time to leave them wisdom from above to better help them down the road. I had a vision the other day of boots. Kind of like the photos you would see of the military men that were dirty, torn and tattered. Then that made me look at our shoes by the doorway at home. I was amazed at what little things we will leave behind that will simply make a huge impact on a loved one who is not saved. I grinned as I thought to write "Jesus is the only way" on a pair of them - (ha ha)

    2) Read up on the Olivet Discourse!!!..So Dear Scott, I will be listening to your audio to help jump start me in this area. I am not sure what the message is but I will start there and dive into the word.

May we be joined together soon. In the meantime, I will try to post here and there with scripture to lift us all up as we anxiously wait on the Lord.

    God Bless!!

  21. Dear Val~

I am not sure if you truly posted this yesterday or if someone else did a copy and paste job into this situation to stir dissention among the group. Either way my message is one of Love and Hope and I thank whomever posted this piece of distorted insight yesterday as it gives us a wonderful opportunity to help those who will come after us seeking to know the truth.

I did have a chance to check out your site, which has many distorted views. I believe, you believe, this is the process in which things will unfold, but at the end of the sentences, it simply is false doctrine coupled with false teachings. You mentioned that you have been blocked from Satan in deliverance of your word. I tend to believe you have been blocked in part from the Holy Spirit; if you have received Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior to bring you back to a place of greater awareness that the messages you are spreading are not the truth.

I have put together on another post here some information I hope will give you some food for thought. I pray you will use this opportunity in these last days to redirect, re-correct and reflect on your thinking. I believe God can use you as a wonderful vessel, but only if it is according to his word, in its proper use and instruction and all for the purpose of glorifying God. We shall not be leaning on our own understanding but be seeking him first.

I pray you come back for true fellowship. There are so many wise people on this forum. You will learn much. What a time to seek and learn and go out and share the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Not some rendition of New Age Religion.

    God Bless!!

  22. MANY SIGNS OF CHRIST'S RETURN EXIST TODAY THAN ANY OTHER TIME IN HISTORY

All of humankind has a choice to make. Every person in each generation has a choice to either obey God or to simply choose to do his own thing. Obedience requires us to have an act of faith and the willingness to follow the Lords instructions, as given by his words and teachings throughout the bible. As we know, we must sacrifice self in order to be better disciples for him and his purposes; especially in these last days.

For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct....

    1 Corinthians 2:11-16
    New International Version (NIV)
11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.[a] 14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16 for,
“Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?”
[b] But we have the mind of Christ.

  23. Part 2 - Val:

    Why Doctrine Matters

The Bible teaches that doctrine - sound (correct) doctrine - matters.

In writing to Titus about the work of an overseer in the Church, Paul told him that he must hold fast "to the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict." (Titus 1:9 ). And, he urged, "in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine" (Titus 2:7 ).

Paul told Timothy, who oversaw the Church at Ephesus:
Titus 1:9 New King James Version (NKJV)
9 holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.

    Titus 2:7
    New King James Version (NKJV)
7 in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,[a]
But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer. In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following:

    1 Timothy 4:16
    New King James Version (NKJV)
16 Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

Paul even warned Timothy that there would come a time when people "will not endure sound doctrine":

    2 Timothy 4:1-5
    New King James Version (NKJV)

    2 Timothy 4

    Preach the Word
1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at[a] His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

False doctrine occurs within and without the Church.

    • Outside the Church it ranges from the claims of world religions which serve another God, to the teachings of cults of Christianity - groups and movement that, while claiming to be Christian, deny one or more of the essential doctrines of the Christian faith.

    • Inside the Church it ranges from the watering down of the Gospel to the introduction of unbiblical and/or extra-biblical teachings and practices which, more often than not, become a test of 'true' Christianity.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Part 3 - Val :

    'Discernment'

The Bible teaches that Christians should learn to discern. That is, they should learn to test teachings against the Biblical standard.

This is done in two ways:

    a) by relying on the guidance of the Holy Spirit who indwells them, and
    b) by studying God's Word

    These two work hand-in-hand.

One cannot expect someone who has just accepted Jesus Christ as his savior to have a full, working knowledge of Biblical theology. The Bible indicates that people come to Jesus because the Holy Spirit draws them and they respond to His invitation. When someone accepts Jesus Christ, he becomes regenerated (born again - a new person, spiritually). Among other things, he receives the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, which puts him at a great advantage over non-Christians.

    Paul puts it like this:

11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.
13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment:

    In Summary:

    1) Know your bible - The truth shall set you free. The bible is the truth of God, so we shall strive to know our scriptures better. Study from prophecy scholars you can trust.

    2) Test the Spirits -Always ask, Does the message or teaching glorify Jesus? If we study the bible regularly we can see what scripture says about any particular situation. We shall test any new teachings to see if it agrees with scripture and more importantly that it is properly applied and not taken out of context. Never trust any teacher who does not believe in the virgin birth of Jesus, His sinless life, sacrificial death, bodily Resurrection, and His promise to come again physically to this earth.

    3) Seek God's guidance in life and teaching - He will guide us to the truth.

    4) Avoid immortality - Lust and sin can impair our judgment and our reasoning of the mind; especially where faith and eternal matters are concerned.

    5) Share our faith aggressively with others - As we witness to others we help break through the confusion that is casted out in the world today. It can also help strengthen our convictions.

    6) Walk in the spirit - By walking in the spirit of the Lord - The Holy Spirit will help us to navigate through many of the truth's and errors placed in this world among us.

7 Strive to honor the Lord daily. Ask what you can do for him instead of what he can do for us.

    God Bless!!

Also, FWIW..in my earlier posts to my remark about things happening here are not reflective of the forum. Just in case that get's taken out of context :) Major medical has hit us very hard and even is extending outward to other family members. As for the posting today...that my dear sis as you know only to well was the Holy Spirit delivering that message. I am sure he wants to save as many of his children in these last days while making sure the path that is laid out is only by his design. I feel blessed that he can take a tired vessel on any given day and kick it into full gear for his glory :)

  31. GG,
Hugs to you! I appreciate you so very much! You hit on so much and stirred my heart in many directions, toward love and good deeds. I am praying for you and want to continue to lift you up. Thank you also, for praying for us and making yourself aware of those in need here at this site.

Thanks for your up lifting message about the 'boots". I then began to reflected toward that and pondered how many dirt clods were stuck to the bottom of those boots, or how many shoe laces were replaced for Jesus?

What a day it will be for all of us to finally meet! Having never laid eyes on one another yet being fully integrated by the HS in these last days!

Has anyone ever stopped to realize the mighty work of the Spirit in these last days? Think of this: The eternal Gospel for those who share this truth as it pertains to Bible Prophecy with a pre-trib view and living in the very end of days!! What an exciting time to witness and share this who are willing to listen. We are the LAST GENERATION on earth to share the Gospel in light of Biblical Prophecy as END-TIME WATCHERS!! I truly believe there is a special blessing here for those who are willing to listening and take heed, the pre-trib watchers message to the world and to share this truth like never before along side the Holly Spirit, living in the end of days. For those who are left behind, hopefully will realize what has happened and repent, knowing what they have heard from us.

We absolutely have no idea what impact we might have, of what we have said in the past after the Rapture takes place. Those will be the crowns in which we will joyfully return to sender!! Just a few verses I came across:

“And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit prays for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.”
                            Romans 8:27 NLT

“When I first came to you, dear brothers and sisters, I didn’t use lofty words and impressive wisdom to tell you God’s secret plan.  For I decided while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified.”
                            1 Corinthians 2:1-2  NLT
