Brief Updates

Erdogan slams Israel in UN General Assembly speech

In an animated speech to the UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke out vehemently against Israel and put the blame for the current Israel-Turkey tension solely on the shoulders of the Israeli government.

Calling Turkish support for the state of Palestine "unconditional," Erdogan said that "it is necessary to put pressure on Israel to achieve peace."

Ahmadinejad: Zionism Sacred to West

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday launched into his customary tirade against Israel and the West at the United Nations.

Ahmadinejad also cast aspersion on the Holocaust

Announcing he planned "to analyze the current situation from a different angle," Ahmadinejad immediately lambasted Israel saying the "Zionist regime imposes terror on the Palestinian people."

U.S. delegation walks out on Ahmadinejad UNGA speech

Many delegates got up and left the General Assembly hall ten minutes into the Iranian leader's speech when he suggested that European countries use the Holocaust as a pretext for giving aid to Israel.

In typically florid prose, Ahmadinejad's twenty minute speech bemoaned the world's inequities of wealth and power. He did not allude to the issue preoccupying most General Assembly attendees, specifically the Palestinians' plans to apply to the United Nations for statehood recognition.

Instead, he posed a series of rhetorical questions which implicitly posited that the United States is at the root of the world's ills due to its foreign policy decisions.

PLO's UN Logo Reveals the Truth: Wipe Israel Off the Map!

The Palestine Liberation Organization's mission to the United Nations has, on its logo, wiped Israel off the map.

The logo is displayed on the website of the Palestinian Authority's mission to the U.N., which is technically represented by the PLO, the “sole representative of the Palestinian people.”

The Permanent Observer Mission of Palestine, as it is known, displays on the website – and reportedly on the letterhead of its official reports – a map that shows Israel, Judea, Samaria and Gaza as a single entity, according to Weekly Standard blogger Anne Bayefsky. “Absent from the logo is any hint that Palestine consists of anything other than Arab territory,” she writes.

There have also been numerous other cases in which official PA media have broadcast maps of the region, obliterating Israel completely, and replacing it with the PA flag.

  2. Dylan, I hear you. The latest development is that other countries are supporting Israel--among them Germany and Canada. : ) The pressure is on the US and I am wondering if O will veto to save face. Gotta get the Jewish block vote for the '12 election, right? : / Scott, I'm afraid you are going to be burning the midnight oil.

Oh, just in case anyone is curious about the wayward satellite, it should hit SOMEWHERE tomorrow. Brings back memories of Skylab. : P

  3. Anyone know if Ahmadinejad wrapped up his diatribe with a call for the Imahdi to hasten an appearance?

I've thought for some time, regardless of how the vote goes, or whether or not there's even a vote in the end, the Middle East is one big pressure cooker that's about to blow it's lid. Whether or not they get their state, major war is almost surely to break out.

  5. Also, cern scientists may have exceeded the speed of light. http://www.haaretz.com/news/international/have-cern-scientists-managed-to-exceed-the-speed-of-light-1.386126?localLinksEnabled=false

There are several reasons for the stock drop - I'll post them here in comments as I run across them. One reason is that the FED is going to print more money in order to continue to pay for the welfare state - also this:

Stocks end sharply lower on recession fears

  8. Hello Dylan

Scientists, who are Christians, have been saying for decades that the speed of light is slowing down.

Perhaps this is evidence to prove it?

    God bless you.

  9. Not so, EI.

Dylan [or will it be Dylam after the sun goes down...],

FTL phenomina have been documented from the 60s & on [and suppressed]. Back then it was discovered that the Crab Nebula propagates magnetic wave at 2xC, and cosmic ray muons were clocked entering the atmosphere at over 14xC.

My Dad [Nuke physicist & cosmology buff] always said that true science reasons from observation, NOT from so-called "Authorities" like Einstein.

One of the standard baloney arguments was "we know the mass of muons, and we measured its impact in terms of MEVs/BEVs [Millions or Billions of Electron Volts], and since nothing can exceed the speed of light, according to the High Learned Master A.E., the only way it could give off that kind of energy on impact is that it's mass must have increased as it approached the speed of light...

He had been in contact w/other major scientists around the world for yrs, who were fully aware that Einstein's ToR was flawed, and their observations & publications were refused in English speaking countries and had to be printed in places like Spain, etc.

Another interesting point he made at the time was after they 1st developed Very Long Based Interferometry radio telescopes, their 1st run was to focus in on a very faint newly discovered star at an unheard-of distance [for back then] of about 3Billion light-yrs out.

The VLBI was able to resolve that it was 2 stars very close together, and when they ran the test again 4months later to confirm the finding, they found that there were several arc degrees difference moving further apart [which corresponded to about 1.5 to 3xC velocity, BTW]...

Turn out that these were 2 halves of a star that were blowing apart at super-light velocities and my dad thot it was hilarious because astronomers have been discovering 100s of these over the yrs ever since! Seems astronomers really don't give a rip about physics, they're just elated to discover new stuff, publish it, and git their name on it!

So when this finally came to the attention of the physicists and they realized what it meant, all the baloney & back-pedaling kicked into high gear [ever since]...

  14. Hello DrNofog

I knew most of the words you used; but their arrangement has left me lost in space. :)

These Boffins (Brits) were opposing the accepted norm of the establishment and were mocked for saying light was slowing down by the powers that be. I don’t remember the names of these men now, but I will have a shufty through my ancient dust collection and see what I can find.

(They are not ‘Christian Scientists’ the cult btw.)

  15. BOTTOM LINE OK ??

Elliott Wave Counts are VERY BEARISH.

Gold and Silver and COPPER starting
to collapse. Government and the FED
will FAIL to stop this, look at the copper, WELL
    under 09 AUG lows tonite.

    THAT says it all.

I think we NEED a good old fashioned STOCK CRASH to bring
in the AC.....and that MAY just
    happen soon.

I just now noticed your question about Ahmadinejad - I'd like to know as well. It would be atypical for him not to have a prayer to the coming of their mahdi....IF I have time I'll check around

  18. Hello Stephen

Have you managed to watch the video link to Hal Lindsey yet?

It would be most appreciated if you would respond to my efforts and state your opinion e.g. if you NOW disagree with H.L., can you explain from Scripture,WHY you disagree with him.

Thanking you in advance for your Scriptural verdict.
    God bless you.

  22. Sue, I watched half of that link and the announcer was so biased himself I turned it off. Accusing Bibi of being a lair because of not addressing accusations in the Goldstone report.....and failing to mention Goldstone has reneged on his own report the entire UN bought into and accepted.

Sorry, my gag retention has already been exercised beyond the safe limit this week.
