Netanyahu Concedes to Obama - if Abbas Drops UN Ploy
The Netanyahu government has confirmed it will accept renewed talks with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, based on the 1949-1967 borders, if the PA scraps its initiative to ask the United Nations for recognition.
Renewed talks also are conditioned on Abbas' recognizing Israel as a Jewish state, a statement he has said he never will make.
Well, that demand probably represents a deal-breaker right there. The "PA" will never admit that Israel has a right to exist.
Abbas has not responded to Netanyahu’s latest proposal to resume talks and formerly has stated that he would be willing to “negotiate” with Israel only after the Jewish state accepts all of its demands, which he said are non-negotiable.

Israel 'ready to negotiate borders with Palestinians'
Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, has bowed to US pressure by agreeing for the first time that a Palestinian state should roughly follow the contours of the 1967 ceasefire lines separating the West Bank from Israel.
The offer, which emerged tonight appeared to represent a major climb-down by Mr Netanyahu, who has consistently refused to discuss specific borders of a future state.
Palestinians plan mass demonstrations against Israel on eve of UN vote
Palestinian officials said Monday they plan to begin mass marches against Israel's occupation of the West Bank on September 20, the eve of a largely symbolic UN vote expected to recognize their independence.
Palestinian official Yasser Abed Rabbo said leaders hope to attract millions, and the protest will be the first of a prolonged effort. He said the campaign would be called "Palestine 194," since the Palestinians hope to become the 194th member of the United Nations.
"The appeal to the UN is a battle for all Palestinians, and in order to succeed, it needs millions to pour into streets," he said.
Military officials warn of 'arson intifada'
Residents of various West Bank settlements have found themselves under a new threat recently – arson.
According to a report published by Yedioth Ahronoth Tuesday, more than 20 fires have been maliciously set in West Bank settlements and outposts in the past few weeks.
Police investigators determined that all of the fires were the result of arson and evidence in all cases led to surrounding Arab villages. The Judea and Samaria District Police have recently arrested six suspects.
Defense establishment sources have expressed concern that the area may be facing an "arson intifada," saying Palestinians have foregone hurling rocks and rioting in favor of setting fires near settlements and letting the hot weather and winds do the rest – i.e. feed the blaze as it spreads and threatens communities and wildlife alike.
"This is a genuine concern," Amiad Kadmon, Mizpeh Danny's security officer, told Yedioth Ahronoth. "This could literally burn our lives down to the ground."
The IDF has also voiced concerns over the new "trend": Binyamin Division Commander Colonel Saar Tzur has declared the fight against arson a top priority
IDF strikes Gaza targets after rocket wounds Israeli woman
Israel Air Force aircraft attacked targets in the northern Gaza Strip, and a smuggling tunnel in south Gaza overnight Monday, after a rocket hit southern Israel and lightly wounded a woman.
The IDF spokesperson reported direct hits on the targets, and said that the strikes were carried out in response to rocket fire on Monday, which wounded an Israeli woman.
We also see yet another dramatic story involving Christian persecution in the region:
Video: The Eradication of Christianity in Syria
Terrifying documentary about the persecution of Christians in Syria. Destroying the ancient religious community through violence, kidnapping, rape, burning of property and all the other instruments of cruelty so often applied by Muslims against their neighbors. We in the mighty west are once again betraying an innocent people, because of our cowardice and ignorance.
I am wondering who is behind all the protests in Israel over housing leading the Knesset to take a no confidence vote on Bibi.
ReplyDeleteWith Israel agreeing to discuss new borders with the PA, does this mean we are looking possibly at the "false peace" of Israel for the last days?
ReplyDeleteI think this acceptance by Israel to negotiate based on the 1967 imagined lines is a part of prophecy we tend to overlook. This move, whether or not it is accepted, speaks to Israels broken faith in God.
ReplyDeleteNoone in a relationship with God would accept anything close to this deal especially since God commands the land He Gave to the Israelites to never be divided. Now I grant you this could just be a ploy to show the world what the Palestinians truly want is Israel's destruction rather than a true peaceful reconciliation of two independent states. This act of agreeing to negotiate this border, even if it is a ploy, damges Israel further by ever acknowleding that the 1967 lines could ever be honored especially in light of Netanyanhu's Speech at the white when he took our president to task on the issue. It makes them look weak, it makes God's word to the secular world irrelevant, in showing that the Israeli's don't even honor God's covenant with them. If Israel won't honor that covenant then why in the world would they ever expect anyone else to honor or respect their right to their land or even the right for them to exist. This is why I believe this is one of the most significant signs we have witnessed in this whole affair. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this and if you agree this should definitely energize us even more to witness than we alredy have for Christ.
This is definitely a major turning point because God's will, will be done.
Thoughts anyone?
Significant, yes . . .but it's not the first time Israel has conceded land to the Palestinians.
ReplyDeletePalestinians will absolutely not recognize Israel's right to exist because it defeats their ultimate purpose, to annihilate Israel, completely destroy her and all Jews. The UN vote next month will surely lead to war, regardless of the outcome.

Hi James~
ReplyDeleteWhen I read this I wondered if it was a slight concession on their part to do a "told you so" kind of approach back all parties looking in. To show everyone that no matter how much Israel tries that will not be enough for the Palestinians and let the war games begin. I may be wrong.
I am also getting some unsettling feelings about that protest on September 20th. Almost like a luring out into the streets under protest intents but it turns ugly. Again, those are my human instincts so who knows until we see :)

"Military officials warn of 'arson intifada"
ReplyDeleteTerrorists who engage in any activity like this are disgusting human beings IMHO. How do you live in a land with constant evil on your doorstep? The sad fact is things are only going to get worse for Israel as we near the tribulation period.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem! Amen.
I take bets on it now... Ooops, wrong forum...
ReplyDeleteI mean I am very strong on that Bibi is not weak or naive, or that he would ever make any, real 'concession' that would put Israel in an undefendable position.
I think he's just tossing the proverbial 'hot potato' back into their court, as stated above, a final "told you so" to the world, knowing there's no way out, short of all-out war.
If you take the view that many of the Knesset are Illuminati, then we may be, very shortly, looking at the final dash thru the gauntlet to Albert Pike's 1871 Satanic vision/plan of WW3...
Masonic Order Designs & Symbology in Israeli Supreme Court Building,
And here
Interesting comments, everyone. I have wondered for the longest time if God would really allow the dividing of the land. Perhaps He will if the Israelis just hand it to the Arabs. Either way, those borders are indefensible. I'm all for going back to the 1922 borders.
ReplyDeleteRobin Thanks for your reply. There is a difference this time though I feel.
ReplyDeleteFrom here the pressure only goes up for Israel as there will be no going back from these borders now. It also emboldens Obama to put even more pressure on Israel than he already has. I know God is in control and His will, will be done though.
GG:
I am right there with you on the demonstration on Sept 20. I don't think it will turn out well.

Yikes the Dow fell by over 260 points today and it is the 8th straight days of decline! I kinda of figured it would have finally gone up today with the debt legislation passing last night?
ReplyDeleteAnother major birth pain! Two days into August and things are really heating up. This is going to be a very interesting 2-3 months.
I don't even have anything in the stock market but I still follow it daily because of prophecy significance. My investments have always been in tangible property. I was never that smart or a fan of a number on a piece of paper.
Anon - as far as the first comment - that is an interesting question...Its probably part of an overall effort by the libs to oust Netanyahu. Some of the comments and behavior by T Livini are reprehensible and irresponsible during their time of crisis - FWIW.
ReplyDeleteJames, I believe that we could well see a dividing of their land, in fact in some of the scriptures from Ezekiel, there are references to the land having been divided (I don't have them at finger-tip but Mrs C posted some of these scriptures
I'm with Dr No on this one. This is just not a deal Bibi would make without relative sure and certain knowledge that the PLO would have to once again decline the "acid test" in front of the world. He's pulled the pin on the grenade and threw it into the ring.....lets see who flinches first.
ReplyDeleteJames your point is good.....what is good strategy in the eyes of man is not necessarily good in God's eyes. In fact, just the lack of faith of not saying a loud and public "NO" indicates he has doubt that Israel is in God's most capable hands.
He is, and always has been, still on the throne.

ReplyDeleteA little "Posting Helpful Hint" in a previous thread here.
Using any 'Name' or 'Alias' makes it a little more personable if we see you comment frequently, instead of wondering if 14 other Anons have each made separate comments, PLUS this will save you a little time too for any of your future posts.

Hi Doc~
ReplyDeleteThanks for that link above re:
Masonic Order Designs & Symbology in Israeli Supreme Court Building,
Seeing this from that perspective was something else. Please keep me posted as you see other things like this. In just a few months, I have received a newly raised awareness on such things I never noticed or heard of before.
God Bless!!

Re. economics, there's a world of difference between owning paper stock in mining companies and having physical possession of precious metals. The latter is what people need to do in the face of impending economic disaster; the fiat currencies are not worth the paper they're printed on.
ReplyDeleteThere's also melt value to consider; see this site. I sort all pocket change into melt value piles: pre-1982 pennies have 95% copper, nickels of all years are worth keeping (though that is slated to change soon), and of course coins with high silver or gold content never need to be melted down. The rest, unless of very high collectible value (including stamping errors), are only good for their metal content. After the dollar crashes, the non-precious circulated coins will no longer be legal tender but can then legally be melted down and sold for the new currency. Not so with paper unless, again, it is of particular collectible worth.
As I've said before, one or two silver dimes still gets you a gallon of gas; real money doesn't inflate or deflate or crash.
BTW: If anyone here is an expert on retirement funds, I'd dearly love to find a way to extract ours from the clutches of the investment firm handling my husband's account and buy silver in quantity before it goes through the roof. We are currently limited to stock and bonds only, and can borrow up to half at a time. We have done that already to fix up the house. But the other half just sits there losing money and is in real danger of being confiscated by FedGov.
Paula, there are legitimate ways of owning physical gold/silver with IRAs. I just did it about a few months ago and there are precious metal vaults you can do it at.
ReplyDeleteIf your investment house holding your husband's IRA will not allow you to move some of your assets to cash and then to precious metals its time to do a roll over in cash to one of these companies. They have all the forms and make it easy.
Let me know if you want a link.:)
Yes please, a link. It's a 401k and they told me it would take death or leaving the company to get to the money beyond borrowing half of it and paying ourselves back. At this point I don't even care about the tax ripoff, if any, because whatever we get will be more than the nothing we'll have very soon. I SO wish I could have bought up a bunch of gold and silver before it started ramping up.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.apmex.com/ has IRA products, but I don't know how to get there from here. :-)
ReplyDeletePaula, the 401 may be a little more tricky but I though they had to let you have access provided you kept it in an approved tax approved plan.
ReplyDeleteGo to
http://bullion.nwtmint.com/silver.php
and
http://bullion.nwtmint.com/gold.php
for Northwest Territorial Mint and you can see what type silver and gold you can buy in approved plan.
GoldStar is who I use to keep it in a IRS protected program and store it. That link is
http://www.goldstartrust.com/precious-metals.php
The only thing I'm not sure of is the company sponsored 401K but I thought they had to let you self direct if you chose after a certain number of years.
Wishing you the best.
Thanks Caver, I'll try and get to those tomorrow, and then hopefully I'll have something to present to the investment firm that might make a difference.
