Persecution Increasing Around the World

The increasing persecution is a big story in these last days leading into the Tribulation, but you won't find it in the MSM.

Jesus warned us of this situation, and for good reason:

Hal Lindsey has a video up on his site (which is a good site to bookmark) and it is worth watching. This video is the main one currently on his site dated 7/22/2011:

Hal Lindsey site

Then we turn to this site, probably the best site for covering the persecution story on a daily basis:

Voice of the Martyrs

See these stories in today's edition:

- Indonesia: Officials close Church
- Kazakhstan: Pastors Fined For Praying
- Iran: Life In Prison
- West Bank: Ministry Harassed
- Iran: Death for Nadarkhani?
- Eritrea: Unimaginable Suffering
- India: Christians Expelled
- Algeria: Churches Threatened

Women Who Sang on Temple Mount Barred by Police

The rules on the Temple Mount are unique for Jews: No singing, no prayer books and certainly not a Torah scroll, but Muslim can play soccer outside their holy mosques while Arab workers remove dirt containing archeological proof of the destroyed Jewish Temples.

The spokesman also noted that a man who took out a small Torah scroll n the Temple Mount also was expelled and invesigated.

Glick also has been barred by the police, who said that no permission is given to anyone who violates government and High Court decisions against blatant Jewish activity that could cause a provocation among Muslims.

Texas Lawmaker Calls for Congressional Probe Into Ban of Christian Prayers at Military Funerals

A Texas lawmaker is calling for a congressional investigation of the Houston National Cemetery after he went undercover and determined that cemetery officials are still preventing Christian prayers at the funerals of military veterans.

“The Obama administration continues to try to prevent the word ‘God’ from being used at the funerals of our heroes,” said. Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas).

“It’s unacceptable and I’m going to put a stop to it as fast as humanly possible,” Culberson told Fox News Radio. He attended a burial service at the cemetery undercover on July 8, when he says he witnessed volunteer members of the honor guard from the Veterans of Foreign Wars being prohibited from using any references to God.

And this sobering reality:

Persecution of Coptic Christians

Three videos are linked in this article, with the following preface:

The systemic horrors being perpetrated on an entire people seems like it would actually fit the U.N. definition of ‘Genocide’. Muslim Egyptians stripping Copts of identity, freedoms and even any human dignity.

Persecuton is worse today than it has ever been in human history, period. Jesus mentioned this as one of the many generational signs that we would observe during these last days, and indeed it is growing daily, around the world. And it will continue to worsen as we approach the Tribulation.

Lets all remember to keep these brave Christians in our daily prayers.

  1. Scott-

What you posted is so true. Believers are being hammered around the globe for their belief in Christ, and it is happening to a lesser extent in the U.S. also. We elect amoral, areligious individuals who may be "Christian" in name only and then we are "shocked" when we see our religious liberties being taken away by their promotion of immoral practices, and their putting those in positions of leadership who support immoral practices. I would include spending beyond our mean as immoral also, as you are making someone else (future generations) pay a debt that we occurred . Our country has essentially gone "lawless" - another sign of the end times (unless you are a Christian and speak up for moral values - then they will find a way to "prosecute" (persecute) you) ). Sad. How can God possibly bless us as a nation when we are like the proverbial dog that returns to its vomit?

I hope our church will fast and pray for our nation on August 6; I plan to. I applaud Gov. Perry for making the connection for the sorry state of our nation and our lack of repentance. Few others in governmental leadership positions have.

  2. Susan-great commentary!
Scott-Thank you! I have been praying for the currently persecuted for a while now. I also pray for the Christians in the upcoming Tribulation, may seem weird to some but my spirit cries out to do that.

  3. Is persecution really worse today than at any other time in history? EVERY TIME I say something like that indicating we're in the last days I ALWAYS hear "it was way worse in ancient Roman times in the apostles days. Is that true? And how can we document if it is true or not?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Hartdawg, I read recently that there have been more martyrs in the last 100 years than the first 1900 years of church history combined.

  5. Hartdawg-how are you? how is your mom? I've been worried about you guys!
I guess they aren't feeding us to the Lions in an ampitheatre currently but it is really rough in muslim nations right now brother. Look at the Sudan for the last 20 years, just as an axample. Whole villages burnt, with the people in them, mass gang rapes, raping and murdering and disfiguring of little innocent children etc. and that is just the start. Its worse now than ever I think. It is not happenning to us yet so we don't realize how awful it really is. The current starvation in Africa is part of this also. The muslims who control the country say there is no famine, no problems. Which is true for them since they control the food chain. But christians-no food for you!

  7. My apologies to everyone concerned ...here's the info on mom; when I went to alaska the first time she was expected to last a few days if that, that has changed. as of right now the issue is not if she will pull through but how much will she recover. she is steel mal nourished but getting better. I went up again last week. she got sent home yesterday. she is doing physical therapy with home care she stood up for 4 minutes the other day. at this point how much she recovers depends on how much she can eat and keep down, her physical therapy and her attitude. so those are the 3 areas that need prayer

  8. Regarding my original question The question also applies to immorality. are we more wicked and immoral than ancient civilizations? I ask these questions Because stoffers always say " oh it was way worse then we cant know where in the last days"

During the +/- 300 years of Roman Persecution, it is estimated that ~ 100,000 Christians were killed (through the entire period)...

Now, between 120,000 - 160,000 Christians are killed ANNUALLY (depends on the specific year)....

So yea, this is far worse, numerically and it is occurring throughout the world now, not just in the Roman Empire

    ReplyDelete
  10. But "immorality" per say isn't a generational sign. Paul mentioned some of these things in 2 Timothy, but it isn't specifically a generational sign

  11. Anon, that seems to be an incomplete link on the Japanese situation. Can you repost it?

Also, it helps if you pick a "name or alias" so we know which Anon we should respond to.

Go "here" for a helpful hint on "how to".

This will save you a little time too for any of your future posts.

You were right on with the USGS lying about the Pisgah venting. Dutchsinse tracked it 3 days in a row in the exact same spot!

That ain't no thunderstorm on a cloudless day!

It's truly astounding the blanket of suppression 'they' can put on the sheeple who are clueless & haven't heard a peep about this, and the few who know something is going on, "they" tell us with a straight face "the sky has always been green! You need to come over to 'our' hospital and get tested for colorblindness"...

Tho more people are killed annually that could simply be because of greater population today than back than....or so the scoffers say. How could we respond to that? I am not trying to argue... I just want to shut the mouths of the " christian" scoffers. by the way ain't it more pathetic that Christians scoff at prophecy more than non christians?

  16. Hi Hartdawg :)
Avoid getting into number debates, they are blind to the Truth :( Just smile, and say this "Oh my goodness, this is amazing! you are actually fulfilling Prophecy"
    2 Peter 3:3-4
3.Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4.And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Gods Word never returns void! :)
    God Bless!

You always have to remember this fundamental fact about our "signs".

Jesus never said that these signs would be "statistically significant" or in greater numbers (although, often they are) - He simply said that these signs would be noteworthy (ie, 'in the news') - AND they would all be remarkable AT THE SAME TIME (thus, the birthpains analogy)

So these things ARE noteworthy and very much in the news AND all happening together.

Jesus never said to factor in the relative population of the earth and run comparative numbers.

Having said all of that -- The numbers ARE significant, regardless of the relative populations now vs. 2000 years ago. Multiply 150,000 x 300 (years) and compare that number to the 100,000 (total deaths during the entire Roman Empire) and regardless of population, the number will be staggeringly higher.

When 'arguments' reach this ridiculous stage, its time to bow out and consider the person as hopeless IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ya know, just considering those numbers seems so....well, cold and disconnected from reality to me. Just large numbers. To make it real...

    a. 160,00 Christians killed for their faith each year.
    b. 3076 Christians killed for their faith each week
    c. 439 Christians killed for their faith each day
    d. 18 Christians killed for their faith each hour

18 Brothers and Sisters having the guts to lay down their life rather than renounce their faith in Jesus.....each and every hour...every day, every night, every weekend....18 Saints blood per hour, never taking a break...humbling, ain't it?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yes, it's very humbling... and staggering... and to see the numbers broken out by day/hour... wow...

We are so incredibly blessed to live in a country where we have not experienced this persecution!!! (even though I know it's on the rise even here and it will get worse during the trib) Thank you Lord!

  20. Alice,
That is so true. Very often I consider that when I am sitting in Church on a Sunday - thinking of all the people that can't even openly worship in their countries or regions.

  23. Scott wrote, "Jesus never said to factor in the relative population of the earth and run comparative numbers".

That really hit me good between the eyes! I am wondering if America will ever be effected by those kind of numbers?

    Caver said,
"a. 160,00 Christians killed for their faith each year.
    b. 3076 Christians killed for their faith each week
    c. 439 Christians killed for their faith each day
    d. 18 Christians killed for their faith each hour"

These truly are sobering figures and causes me to ponder a bit as to America's fate. We are moving more and more in this direction but feel that the world(bible prophecy) is so late in the game with how the rest of the world is toward christians here in America. I could be wrong, but I feel America may escape the brunt of persecution this side of the Rapture. I must also prepare otherwise.

Stephen-just for you brother. I know you are looking for the ac so I have a lead for you. Find this guy named Scott Dyer. He was interviewed tonite on American Voice Radio Network by LA Marzulli. He thinks it is Bashad. Very interested postulation. These guys are pretty far out there but...they both love Jesus, and it is based on Biblical truth so...very interesting indeed. Enjoy your search brother!

  27. Hi Stephen, if you go to Scot Dryer Profound Prophecy and watch his videos on the A/C, it will give you food for thought. Ive been going to his site and this for 3 years now, i study the bible and watch the news.
Its all falling into place like a jigsaw, if you are like me you will search for the truth, its all there in your bible.Happy hunting God bless to you all,

  28. Ally, I'm anxiously awaiting that interview of Stephen Quayle! I hope you can find it! Also, did you mean Bashar al-Assad, president of Syria?

Did I read in a previous thread that Dylan is hasn't checked in recently? I will keep him in my prayers, too. And this is my official last day before a 2.5 week get-away, so don't worry if I'm not posting! Heading to Dylan's neck of the woods... We don't have easy access to the internet there.

    Love to all!!! Maranatha!

Yes, I agree with that. Often the worst scoffing comes from the Christian Community. Sadly.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Alice-Enjoy your vacation :)I probably won't get one until we are with the Father ;)
Sarah-Thanks for the link. I just discovered "weird beard" last night, but I found his take on the ac quite interesting and Stephen will probably bust a gasket listening to him. It certainly lines up with the word, no one has been able to oust him yet( bashaad) and he is cunning and flatters with words so, who knows?
I have learned to listen with an open mind to spectactular things. You can glean a lot of truth sometimes in some unusual ways! Once again all goes into my giant box of possibilities!
Now about those motherships in the skies over all the world's major cities...hmmm, well Ronald Reagan once talked about that, didn't he? Something like, wouldn't it be nice if the earth had a common enemy like the aliens to unite against? very interesting. If I remember correctly, in a book or movie that is called foreshadowing isn't it? Or maybe they come in peace? with some signs and wonders? to fool even the elect. Who knows? I surely don't! We shall see!
I have probably had 50 people at least, most of them crazy, tell me about the "reptillians". I listen, why not? Thought it was interesting, not just the concept, but how individuals who didn't know each other, somehow "knew" the same things. I pretty much thought it was baloney. One day, I ran across some info about certain types of demonic possesion. There was some interesting corelations between the two, so then, that info went into the giant box of possibilities.
I told you guys, you might think I'm crazy. And that is ok by me. I have no exact proof what is about to happen, except for the Bible. But I have a BIG box of possibilities, which I really like having, mostly so I won't be caught unaware when whatever happens, happens. LOL. And when it does happen, whatever it is, I can look to the Father and say "Oh, so this is what you were trying to tell me?" and laugh, as everyone else is running around freaking out, trying to figure out what is going on. Hmmm. Things that make you go hmmm.
I love you brothers and sisters. I really am of sound mind, despite my ramblings, my bemusings, my silliness. But I would like the Body of Christ to become more aware. of possibilities. All Glory to God!
