In the news:

There are a lot of interesting news coming from Europe today (and of course the Middle East as well):

EU foreign ministers call on sides to return to talks

In what may be seen as signal to PA that the EU was not pleased with its UN statehood bid, ministers meeting in Brussels issue statement calling on Israelis, Palestinians "to resume direct and substantive talks.

"As both Israel and the Palestinian Authority are actively wooing Europe before the PA's expected effort to ask for statehood recognition at the UN in September, the EU's foreign ministers issued a statement Monday calling on the sides to act responsibly and resume "direct and sustentative talks."

In what could be interpreted as a signal to the PA that the EU was not enamored with its UN bid, the statement issued after a meeting of the EU's 27 foreign minister in Brussels read, "The EU reiterates its concern at the continuing stalemate in the Peace Process and calls on the parties to show the highest sense of responsibility and to resume direct and substantive talks."

Markets braced for falls as EU argues over Greek bailout

In an attack that pits Germany against other eurozone countries ahead of a vital European summit this week, Jens Weidmann, the head of Germany's central bank, said proposals to shore up Greece with bonds guaranteed by the eurozone amounted to forcing taxpayers to "vouch for Greece's entire national debt".

On Friday, Deutsche Bank analysts warned that markets around the world could crash by more than a third if Europe fails to resolve its debt crisis.

The 17 eurozone nations are due to hold a crisis summit in Brussels on Thursday to agree fresh support for Greece and urgent measures to prevent contagion spreading to Italy and Spain – the third and fourth biggest economies in Europe respectively. On Friday Italy passed a €48bn austerity budget aimed at radically reducing the public deficit by 2014.

The ramifications of this next article are obvious:

EU Plots To Control Britian's Military Forces

Baroness Ashton, EU foreign affairs supremo, will unveil plans for a permanent “command and control” HQ, possibly sited in Britain.

Under a separate plan a new pan-European coastal fleet is proposed which will patrol under the Brussels logo flag.

Tory MP Douglas Carswell, whose Clacton constituency coastguard station faces closure, said: “Politicians keep telling us that there will be no more transfer of power to Brussels. Once again, this shows those promises are complete nonsense.”

Stephen Booth, of the Open Europe think-tank, said it “potentially threatens Britain’s primary military alliance, which remains with the United States via Nato”.

Tory shipping minister Mike Penning said: “A European coastguard is not a concept we support.”

Italy and Spain in firing line as euro's fate hangs in the balance

Eurozone leaders are braced for another battering from financial markets this week, amid growing fears that the spiralling sovereign debt crisis is threatening the future of the single currency.

With the financial panic now hitting Italy, and funding costs for banks rising, leaders are under mounting pressure to come up with a long-term rescue plan for the entire eurozone.

Hence, with the warnings that the euro as a whole is at risk now, a more far-reaching ad-hoc emergency measure looks likely to us, but we still do not expect a comprehensive programme any time soon."

In the rest of the world:

An interesting video link regarding increasing Yellowstone activity:

Feds Concerned About Yellowstone Earthquake Swarms

Indonesian Volcano Becomes More Violent

A volcano in central Indonesia that has been spitting ash, rocks and smoke for a week, unleashed its most powerful eruption yet on Sunday, sending panicked villagers racing back to emergency shelters.

The area has been on highest alert since Monday when authorities started evacuating villages in the path of the smoke and ash. So far, around 2,500 of the 28,000 people who live on the fertile slopes have left the area.

This next article is in the category of "food for thought":

Invasion of Libya was About Gaddafi's Plan to Introduce Gold Dinar

Under the guise of “protecting civilians,” the United States led NATO into Libya and is attempting to assassinate the Libyan leader. Of course, Libya happens to be the largest oil producer in Africa, but many do not realize that Gaddafi was planning to introduce the gold dinar, a single African currency that would serve as an alternative to the U.S. dollar and allow African nations to share the wealth.

It is surely no coincidence that Iraq’s prior leader, Saddam Hussein, was trying to do the same thing just prior to U.S. invasion for all of those “weapons of mass destruction.”

Simply put, if oil-rich nations begin trading in something other than dollars it will significantly reduce demand for dollars and threaten the dollar’s role as world reserve currency. Many experts belief this would lead to the quick death of the fiat greenback, which is now backed by nothing but faith in a government that is running an annual budget deficit of over $1.5 TRILLION.

Gaddafi did not give up. In the months leading up to the military intervention, he called on African and Muslim nations to join together to create this new currency that would rival the dollar and euro. They would sell oil and other resources around the world only for gold dinars.

It is an idea that would shift the economic balance of the world.

The sad, sad lack of solidarity among Christians

A recent study shows that 105,000 Christians are killed every year because of their faith. In other words, every five minutes a Christian is killed because he or she is Christian. Those of us who do not just stick to politically castrated (non-PC for "politically correct") newspapers and news channels are fully aware of the bloody oppression of Christians in Muslim countries.

Christians are also subject to religiously motivated threats in their own countries. One among countless examples is Holland, where Moroccans shout "One dog less!" at Christian funerals.

It is shocking to see how little Christians do about it.

'Syria increasing arms shipments to Hezbollah'

Damascus is increasing shipments of advanced missiles and other weapons to Hezbollah amid continuing unrest in Syria, The Times of London reported Friday quoting Western intelligence officials.

The missiles "are accurate to within tens of meters and bring all of Israel, Jordan and large parts of Turkey within Hezbollah's range," the officials were quoted by the newspaper as saying.

They also said that, "This is the first time that a terror organization has obtained a missile of this type," which is considered a "strategic weapon" that "has been held only by national armies."

WARNING to Post-trib and Pre-Wrath visitors about ‘DUSTY PETERSON’ who has defrauded frightened Christians into buying a retreat from the coming Tribulation on the island of Gozo, near Malta.

By Scripture twisting, he preys upon the fears and sympathy of the Christians he deceives. This man is a work shy, out and out conman. One example:

“…she paid two installments of Rainier's rent (which he didn't pass on to the landlord!) on the CAMBRIDGE house where he overstayed his welcome by about two years. Here's what she did: "I actually paid his rent on two occasions (2 x £630). .......he said that he'd be homeless if he couldn't meet the rent, and I felt it my Christian duty to help him. Of course, looking back, I can see that it was an unwise decision to lend him the money. I had no idea until now that there was so much trouble regarding the Landlords.....that he owes them over £11,000!

The case against this fraudster is growing, so be cautioned against ‘lending’ him money (or anyone else)for rent to prevent homelessness. He will make repeated promises to repay with a great deal of extra ‘luvly’ money as a ‘sweetener’. You will not see your money again. Many have felt pity for him to the tune of many thousands of £’s that he will not repay. His real name is:

NEVILLE JOHN RAINER. A.k.a DUSTY PETERSON

  5. WV, welcome back Brother....yea, it has been a tinny bit busy as news comes in.

The video of Yellowstone was interesting.....especially when compared to the documentary the other day showing....proving in my mind....the cover-up of the earthquake swarm in Yellowstone.

Lots of things seem to be "shaking"-n-moving around down there. AND it all seems to be getting worse at that little harmless NASA described block of ice gets closer.

    Interesting times.

Ally, I did look at the vid you posted yesterday. Sure interesting....not at all sure what to make of it or what it means, but interesting to be sure. Thank you!

Pastor JD talks about the Jewish feast of Trumpets(Rosh Hashanna) and the potential significance of the September comet Elenin.

    Hello Scott

Most Brits are against having 'Mary's stars' on our cars. Where there is a EU flag, we are buying a Union Jack badge to cover it up. As well as British covers for our EU passports.

Now they reveal they want our sportsmen to event under the E.U. flag and it isn't going down at all well. The Daily Express newspaper has been running a campaign to get us out of the EU and it is exceedingly popular.

At the weekend, the paper challenged the EU Parliament who are fed up with us whinging and said we should get out - yes please! :)

Hopeful but not holding me breath.

  10. Sue - that is very interesting and I suspected as much.

Do you think this could result in a serious move to leave the EU?

  11. Hey Brethren & Cistern, it just occurred 2me that I should share an energy-saving, emergency survival tip I picked up from my scientist dad many, many moons ago ... as there seems to be tuff times ahead. [and especially 4 those who are planning to go thru the Trib ;) ]

It actually works on this simple principle that most of us already know; hot air balloons rise, cold air balloons fall flat on the ground...

[makes U wonder why all the politicians in DC don't just float away ... I think they have a "special" alchemy that seems to defy normal physics and keeps them down around us; all the iron in their blood has turned into lead in their shiftless tushes...

But I digress... Where was I?

So cold air like to hang around at the bottom of your freezer. That's why they can have all those long aisles of open-top freezers in the food stores.

No problem if you have a chest freezer. They save more energy than uprights, they're just a little hard to dig around in, as my wife likes to remind me frequently...

The problem with uprights is when you open the door a lot of cold air falls out on the floor [you can't see it, that's why you can't pick it up and put it back in], and is quickly replaced with warm, humid air, which causes your freezer to run a little longer to get back down to temp.

    ReplyDelete
  12. The solution is "Thermal Mass".

A mostly empty freezer has a lot of air to fall out and when you have fresh, warm road-kill to put in, it's gonna take a while to chug back down to temp.

But a freezer that's jam packed has very little air that's gonna move out on you.

Now, most people are gonna say "I'd like to, but I can't afford to fill my freezer with food"...

Fill it with 1 or 2 gallon jugs of [emergency] spring or distilled water a day til it's full, DO NOT FILL IT ALL AT ONCE!!! Otherwise it'll wear itself out trying to get that huge warm thermal mass down to a frozen thermal mass!

Now you have an emergency supply of water AND an emergency "thermal mass" that will keep the freezer cold a lot longer if you have a power outage!

Plus, you'll save energy now cause whenever you put warm stuff in there, it won't hardly change the temp at all, and it'll freeze really fast [just take out a couple of water jugs to make enough room].

PS. make sure your gallon jugs are only 3/4 full otherwise they'll split open when they freeze.
    ;)

  16. Paula:

Just watched brother JD's video and the one thing I hadn't heard of was the three days of darkness that could be caused by Elenin. Has anyone here researched that part? I will try to find some back up for that belief.

I think the most important part of that video, which is something Scott and I have talked about, is that Christ only comes like a thief in the night for those who aren't looking for him. We the church will be diligently watching, praying for and expecting His trumpet.

Those that deny a pre-trib rapture are really shuting off the greatest time in the history of this world to witness for Christ.

I really fill the Holy Spirit calling us watchers to remain pure and stay close to Christ because the time for His trumpet is nearer than it's ever been.

Thanks again Paula for the link.

  17. MY wife and I came to this realization independently. However there is another HOLY day that has not been fulfilled. The Yom Kippur the Day of Atonement. It forshadows Judgnement Day. this happens on October 7 and 8. The period before is called the "Days of Awe" that lasts 12 days. Meaning the "Days of Awe" start on September 25, when Elenin is supposed to begin the three day eclipse of the sun!
The above are not my words but i found them to be very interesting. i just finished watching jd. he is aloha bible prophecy and also mid east bible prophecy. his dad is from egypt and his mother is lebanese. he is really a funny preacher and not so uptight, holier than thou kinda guy but he is SERIOUS about Jesus! I'm glad he has the guts to say what he does! And frankly, i believe he is right on target!
Of course, how did i find him? the same way i found dutch sinse and a million others. Scott's blog family and the holy spirit. lol!

He was born in Lebanon, and he is half Egyptian and half "Palestian". His mom was from Jordan and her mom was born in Nazareth. In 1962, his parents left the middle east because of Isalmic persecution against Christians.

If you have time, JD's study (in his video archives) entitled "God put his name on Jerusalem" is interesting.

  22. Kathy-actually the bible doesn't say elenin but it sure talks a lot about the star named wormwood and the devastation that it causes! Elenin's timing is strangely tied into the Jewish feasts this year plus the bloodmoon triads in 3 and 1/2 years that fall exactly on Jewish holy days again. there is way too much for me to put in here so Scott...maybe please do a teaching on this! 25. Hey all,

(Just FYI, the link was first posted by WVBORN56 and I just made it clickable)

I agree, it's a good video, and I too was intrigued by the 3 days of darkness idea. But I also still believe the "surprise" is for unbelievers, and so if this happens then I also agree it's a great witnessing opportunity. Maybe the darkness follows the Rapture, as yet another "cover story" to help secure the "great lie"? I'd think this would be more of a sign to Jews, personally.

@Anon re. the remote viewer: While unbelievers get details wrong, I do see significance in the multitude of dreams and visions they're having about "a rapture event", though they often misinterpret it as just another "earth change" or "stage of evolution". Even the most marginal Christians have to notice something is "up"!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hi Paula~

Thanks for being our linker :) How is your Mom today? A bit sore and beat up I bet. How are her spirits? I know nothing on the 3- days of darkness but peaked around a little bit this morning. It is amazing what the bible had talked about as well...

Joel talks about the darkness in the whole world before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD, 30 I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 31 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD (Joel 2:30-31).

Acts repeats exactly the same quotation in Act.2:19-20.

Exodus describes the three days of darkness that happened in the 9th plague of Egypt, 22 So Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and total darkness covered all Egypt for three days. 23 No one could see anyone else or leave his place for three days. Yet all the Israelites had light in the places where they lived. (Ex.10:22-23)... notice the second part of verse 23, Yet all the Israelites had light in the places where they lived!

Jesus Himself describes similar condition will happen just after the Great Tribulation and before the Second Coming of Christ:

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Mat.24:29-31).

I would love to see a study on this if time and resources are available from this site family :)

    Have a blessed day!!

  29. Ally, I am sure you are not silly about these things at all. But wormwood ( Rev 8) is the seventh seal and it falls onto earth making the waters bitter and poisoned. That can't be elenin.
That doesn't mean that signs in the stars ( GEN) aren't part of God's design but I wouldn't rest my testimony with others on this wonderment about what will happen in Sept. There are real signs to watch for and the darkness piece is before the judgment. When the sun and moon are darkened and th sign of the Son of man is coing to earth men will be terrified. Yet even then He comes to restore after judgment. Our Father is very good!!!

  30. Paula and all,

A serious word of caution about remote viewing:

Remote viewing is the practice of seeking impressions and details about a distant or unseen target, or future events using paranormal means, in particular, extra-sensory perception by going into deep meditation or trances!

In other words, "remote viewing" is the pseudo-scientific, deceptive con-job name given to [or created by] the Military/CIA to create the impression that ESP is a legitimate science to 'explore' for the purpose of spying, when in fact, it is divination, consulting a familiar spirit which is called "witchcraft" in the Word!

The Military "claims" it abandoned it a number of years ago 'cause the info it got was "unreliable" ... Duh! What else would you expect from "lying spirits"?!?

A casual search shows just some of who's pushing this psychic evil:

www.greaterreality.com/rv/instruct.htm - One of the ways you can experience the Greater Reality is through remote viewing , a form of psychic ability very common among people...

The Farsight Institute - A nonprofit research and educational institute, offering a large library of free materials on remote viewing.

www.probablefuture.com - Outstanding information regarding advanced remote viewing and remote influencing techniques used by intelligence agencies.

www.newrealities.com founder Alan Steinfeld learns remote viewing with Russell Targ, one of the co-founders of this amazing science.

    Hello Scott
I have been considering your question. If I am honest, as much as I would like it to happen, I don't think we have much chance of escaping 'Mary's clutches.

On the positive side, we have an aging population (me and a few others) and these folk have been militant in the past, and it is this generation that is mainly against the new fangled Club of Rome.

Now the youngsters are also showing discontent about Mary's crown fluttering over sporting events - so who knows, it could happen, and I for certain have prayed to be let out.

  34. Yes, deception all around. We really cannot know who's telling the truth. But personally, the governments are the last ones I'd trust. They lie about everything and control the satellites. There's as much counter intel/disinfo as valid info these days.

But what we do know is that there are earthquakes of unprecedented intensity and frequency, abnormal weather, mass animal die-offs, drought, flooding, war, insurrections, pestilence, sorcery,...

    ReplyDelete
  35. Kathy-the 7 trumpets, burning up of a third of the trees etc. I will post more later.
To all-just because I am willing to examine ALL info doesn't mean I put faith in it. The only thing I put faith in is the Gospel and the Living Word of God!
Doc-I know remote viewing is witchcraft! And familiar spirits! The other day Paula posted a link to the trib-now site and even though there is some great info on that site that is very exciting, I did not post it here because of the fact that site includes a lot of very non biblical things. At the time I commented much like you, about the sketchiness of believing things like that and how satan always puts in just enough truth to "catch" you.
I have a big box of "possibilities" that are just that-possibilities. Such as the a.c might come from Turkey or Rome or blah blah blah. It doesn't mean he will come from either of those places, but he could!
Doc-you know very very many things about what is going on and you cautiously share with us some of them, but I have a feeling you know how really dark the other side is! A lot of people have no clue (this is not meant for any particular person on here at all, it is just a generalization)but it is going to get a lot darker and we must be WISE and not dumb and blind. So many people won't wake up because reality is an unpleasant clash with their ideal beliefs.
If you fought in a war, you know what I mean! There is absolutely no way to convey the horrors and evils that you have seen or experienced or even worse, had to
perpetuate on another human, even against your own will.
The Bible tells us what is up and what is coming. It is not pretty. Terrible things are happening right now as we speak in this nation. But people don't want t o believe it is true. Agenda 21 for instance. That is why I am here. Most of you "get it" and know the only way out is up! ;) ally

•He said that "Rosh", is not Russia. Highly debatable. Yes indeed he is correct as to the meaning of "Rosh" in Hebrew as "beginning" or "head of". But, Ezekiel would have known the tribes that God spoke of in his day, and without going into the whole ancient history of the ancient tribes, lets just say they were established in what is now Russia. Most importantly, in context, God states the names of the other tribes in conjunction with "Rosh". This tells us these are lands, not the title of a person "Rosh". He tells us that Gog is a "the prince of Rosh, Mesheck, Tubal" All three lands, God tells us that Gog is a "prince" of.
•He speaks of the three dark days. We know these are Trib events. We are not in the Trib, and wont be. If it were the Trib, or Great Trib, where is the 7 years between now and Sept.-Oct.? What this could be, if indeed it is some gigantic star...planet... and if, if, it does have effects here on Earth, it could very well be a preview of things to come. Just like the oil spill turning the water to "blood" red. Just like obummer behaving like the AC. These are not for us, as we will not enter the Trib. But they are more of the preview of things to come.
•It seemed to me, that he skipped to the Trib events pretty quickly, and also completely skipped Isaiah 17.
We have to keep in mind, that the Jewish calendar is a a lunisolar calendar, and has been changed by the Rabbis many, many times over the centuries. There are leap years, all sorts of “stuff”. Jesus will indeed fulfill all of the Jewish Festivals, but we have no idea what the true day will be because the Jewish Calendar has been so messed with. The Jewish day for example, is of no fixed length. They model it after the story of Creation. It runs from sunset to the next sunset. But then they add special rules for example high latitudes that the sun remains above or below the horizon for a specific amount of time.
Israel is the key, it always has been. We watch with amazement, as God is putting the final, and I mean final, details on His Plan! Look up Brothers & Sisters, our redemption draws ny!!! GLORY BE TO GOD ALMIGHTY FOREVER! WE PRAISE YOU FOREVER! THANK YOU FATHER! THANK YOU JESUS! THANK YOU HOLY SPIRIT!

  37. Hello Mrs C

So very glad I am not the only one to get a 'twinge' about the video.
To be fair to the man, he did issue a caution, but too many things didn't add up as you have explained.

As for the lunar cycle, I bought my hubby a 'Tide Clock' for his birthday as he needs a high tide to launch his boat to go sea-fishing. Trying to set the clock during a full moon has been a very confusing occupation (for me).

There are so many variables to take into consideration, even the sun affects it and all told makes it really difficult to know exactly when high and low tide are - very ambiguous. This has been an alert to me on how difficult it is to know precise timing with the lunar calendar.

    Every blessing
    Sue

I just checked out yer link http://www.thefreepressonline.co.uk/news/1/2233.htm ... and I got down to about here, where they offered this "Christian" advice:

"...If instead you consult dependable websites like wikipedia..."

Uhmmm -- coonta been more than a month or 2 ago I posted a revealing little tid-bit on Wiki deep-sixing their info/definition of "Natural-born Citizen" as soon as Obummer posted his "real" BC and critics caught the issue!!

Natural-born citizen' info vanishes off Wikipedia

And back in 09, I'm sure I posted about Wiki ditching and altering any anti-global warming articles:

    Wikipedia Meets Its Own Climategate
How Wikipedia's green doctor rewrote 5,428 climate articles

Look who's erasing history of climate
More than 5,000 entries tailored to hype global-warming agenda

  42. Hi Sister Sue! :)
Yes indeed, he did refer to “caution”, and I will try to say this in love, but, I have heard that many times when false teachings are said. :( Its kind of a way to disarm folks :( Then a little bit of Truth mixed in with untruth…and so it goes.
Sounds like quite a challenge, to say the least, of keeping track on the “lunar cycle” clock LOL. My goodness! But Sue, that is an excellent, excellent point!:)
There are many, many lets call them, adjustments that have been made over thousands of years to the Jewish Calendar.:) Again though, Gods Word is so very True! We will indeed not know when our Bride Groom will come for us!
    Blessing to You Sis :)

Please, please, don’t stop posting links that you find interesting and worth discussion, ok? Its good to see and discuss, in Sisterly & Brotherly love, what is being said out there. If the Holy Spirit gives ya a twinge, a disclaimer would probably be a good idea :) I know I’ve had to do that, only it was after I hit the send key!  We can call it the “send key remorse”.So much gets lost when we post online :( We cant here each others inflections etc. It would be so great for all of us to be together in one room, and fellowship, study together (probably to the wee hours of the morning!lol). But someday, we all will be together, and imagine the conversations we'll have then! WOW!
Big Hug, Blessings to you Sis!

  44. Hi Paula~

It would sadden me to see you stop posting. The one thing I like about this forum is how we share. I think we are all pretty grounded but I can see where Sue is coming from too. With the elenin thing, I do believe (IMHO) that there is a link, not to destruction to wipe out all of mankind, but a link that is crucial. I just don't know what that is. I am comfortable in just having that feeling and letting the truth unfold like it does here. On the other hand it is so easy in human nature to go chasing more information that is out there that can lead us into further temptation that could ultimatley lead us away from the truth. I think this is the best way I can describe how I feel. God knows my heart and I believe he is sending me correction via here or there and Lord only knows where as he needs to straighten out my paths as I get excited for his return. He wants progress not perfection. Only he is perfect. Now that is not a license to stray after we repent. It's all about staying the course and yet he knows we are human and we are excited all about seeing him :) You have done nothing wrong.

I was thinking though how helpful this forum is going to be when we are gone. If it is still up many will be learning from us. Maybe in our teachings it's good to learn to discern now so it will teach those who will be new looking at this information when everything else in their world is going crazy. Maybe that is what this prompting could be about. Would we want them chasing things that seem like signs from the Lord but are not? Please don't change. It will sadden me :)

    God Bless!!

  47. Paula and all

I don't think any of us should hesitate to post anything that comes up - and is interesting....We can all participate in looking at (whatever) and discussing - even if some things seem out of kilter.

One thing I love about this group is the fact that we don't have to censor. I think we're all mature enough in our walk that we don't have to have such a big filter in place.

You know I post from many sites that some prophecy sites wouldn't touch.

I am of the belief that we should look at a LOT of sources of information in order to not miss anything.

I'd rather have a large net - so as not to miss anything important - than to limit ourselves to a select few sites and sources that we collectively "trust".

I hope what I am saying makes sense. I hope everyone feels free to post what they see as interesting w/o fear of being "shot down" etc....The links don't reflect the individual who is posting IMO- Just as I don't "endorse" the sites that I visit daily for information.

I believe some sites are WAY too "selective" in their sources of information, and as a result they miss some important information.

So Paula - PLEASE don't feel the need to apologize and PLEASE do continue posting anything you (and anyone else) sees as interesting. I think it adds to our watch and I trust that we are discerning enough to deal with it appropriately.

Thats just my 2 cents :)

  48. Thank you Scott, for your "permission" to explore the prophecy material "out there".

I'm sure that we will all be surprised by somethings that God does when the rapture and subsequent tribulation takes place.

I think it fascinating that there seems to be a convergence of many things this September. Our economy alone is built on a house of cards and could collapse at any time. It is interesting that many seem to be having dreams about the rapture taking place. We are both in the days of Noah and in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah.

I find it compelling that Jesus' first coming and subsequent pouring out of the Holy Spirit fulfilled the first four Jewish Feasts, on the exact days of the feasts. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the rapture of the church occurred on some Rosh Hashanah.

In the meantime, as we who are watching see signs of collapse all around us, it compels us to share these signs and the gospel with our unsaved family members and friends. I have many "scoffers" in my family - secular humanists, buddhists, nominal Christians. I even have a sister who is a born again Christian but refuses to see the signs of the times - she is too caught up in what she is doing. It is hard to endure the scoffing that even fellow believers can send your way. God has been faithful though, my niece, the daughter of my sister recently said, "it is unloving if we don't share the gospel with unbelievers". So even if we're labeled as narrow-minded, intolerant, judgmental, and even hateful, we need to still share. Sometimes it is something simple - such as "God has blessed you with a lovely home", or "God has taken care of your needs in our horrible economy". Anything to get the focus onto God. So many are deceived into thinking that it is their accomplishments and hard work that has provided for their needs.

Thank you Scott, for your daily faithfulness that keeps us looking up, because our redemption draws near.

    Thanks for those comments.

For some reason, it is always comforting to me, to read about the trials and tribulations of the prophets.

Especially, I think of Jeremiah, Elijah, Daniel (just to mention a few) - who had their weaknesses, human emotions, trials and tribulations - but most importantly, they typically lived in the midst of scoffers to the extreme - and endured so much.

But to see their humanity on display for all of us to see- always makes me feel better in the midst of living in our secular society and the scoffers around us.

But as I say in "signs" - in the intro - there were few scoffers a few hours-days after 9-11. But people quickly forget those fears and insecurities quickly and settle back into 'normal life'...

We are quickly approaching an era in which 'normal life' is a thing of the past.

In short - if we're still around long, we're going to have some tremendous witnessing opportunities.

  50. Scott- Agree! Just sent out a copy of your book, "Signs of the Coming Christ" today to an M.D. friend of ours. We just returned from seeing family and friends in the Midwest. Few (even believers) are tuned into how late the hour is. This particular friend took some time out of medical school to study at Dallas Theological Seminary and even took a class from Dwight Pentecost (apparently Pentecost was a tough instructor!). He (friend and his wife) was one of the few we met with who understand the times we live in.

For instance...Dutchsinse is not a "Christian" sight but I am so thankful someone here posted a question about him. I find him fascinating and he is really onto something. 52. Hello DrNofog

Well spotted! I agree with you.

I did see it and decided it was worth ignoring for the info on Elenin. Alan has only JUST had a painful op so I won't pick him up on it - yet. He and his wife are both retired from journalism, so I suspect he MAY see things from a different angle with Wiki?

Oh boy! have I put my big foot in it on L&L; I should have done a better job of proof-reading a comment I made to John Chingford. I used just Scripture verses to respond to his own comment and at the end summed up what The Lord is telling us all about judging. For emphasis I used caps and wrote 'mind your own business; what is that to you'!

It looks like a very personal remark, but meant it is to all the Church. He has been very quiet and he does get hurt quite easily so I did try to explain and say sorry. I have just emailed it to him to make sure he sees it. Don't want a Battle of Brits on the blog. :\

By going 'blue', I hope to learn how to edit me faux pas in future.

  53. Hi Susan :)
I can certainly understand what your going through with your family :( Ive been going through it for years, and years with mine
:( Recently though, the dark one really ratcheted things up. Not that I like to give the dark one any kind of credit, as he was conquered thousands of years ago, but he played on my daughters fears, and she gave into it. My girl, I used to tell her since she was a wee little one, that she was the very beat of my heart. She turned on me in a ferocious way, through huge lies and manipulation; she deceived my family, taking them with her against me. Truly, its as if I don’t even know who she is! Then I had to ask myself, why were they so quick to believe her without even conferring with me? As time went on, it occurred to me that they were guilty and part of her shenanigans too. Incredibly painful, and talk about fighting the “flesh” in my attempted response to them. Wow! For most of the recent two years, no one is even speaking with me. So this went beyond them thinking I was a “dooms day wacky Christian”. This was very heartbreaking, and still is.
I will share with you though, that the Holy Spirit reminded me, that Jesus said we are to love God with all our hearts, minds and Souls. Friends, families, can disappoint us, be painful and can be joyful, unpredictable. But He is everlasting, perfect in His Love for us. His Love for us will never change! He is with us always, no matter what! Praise God!!!
Forgive me for going on, but I just wanted to share that your not alone! The closer we are to His Coming, the more futile attacks come against us. As I suggested in another post here, this is what I say to friends, family, when they would scoff at me. With a big smile, (big smiles important :)) I would tell them that they actually are fulfilling Prophecy! Then I would quote them 2 Peter 3:3-4 :)

    2 Peter 3:3-4
3.Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4.And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
Gives them something to think about! :) Hope this helps!
Yes indeed Susan, it is exciting, beautiful, joyful to see and know that Jesus has and will indeed fulfill all of the Jewish Feasts! A few years back on the celebration of Rosh Hashanah, myself and some others, logged onto the Kotel live camera site, and were just overwhelmed! There were thousands gathered very late at night, at the Kotel, the young and old alike, women, men all together. They were Praying, singing, worshiping and blowing the Shofar like we’ve never heard before. Rabbis leading Prayers in Hebrew, and the massive crowd reciting the Prayers to God in complete unison. For those of us who were so Blessed to have witnessed this event, it brought tears to our eyes for several reasons, and emotions on many levels. This year, should the Lord tarry, perhaps we can all witness this event together again, it is something to see for sure! :)
    God Bless You!

  55. This is a excerpt from the "Levitt Letter" that was published years ago. Zola Levitt, a Jewish Believer unexpectidle, went to be with the Lord, which he was joyfully excited about until he leftthis earth. His wife Sandra, printed this article in the above Levitt Letter, I beleive the year that Zola passed. Forgive me, but to post the link, I felt folks would have a difficult time finding the article. Please forgive me Scott, if this is too long, but it is the most beautiful Love Story! :)

    Shalom
    From
    Sandra
A favorite gift to a newly engaged couple is the booklet, Christian Love Story, the story of a Jewish man proposing to his beloved. I am a hopeless romantic. I love a good love story. And what better love story than that of Yeshua, our Jewish bridegroom and us, His chosen. Remember, Yeshua is Jewish, so it makes sense that His proposal to us would follow the custom of his day—the centuries-old tradition practiced by Jewish couples all over the world. Typically, the two people involved were in their teens. Shorter life spans and the agrarian society meant when you were old enough to work, you did. Leisure time was rare. Zola used to say, “There were children and married people. We invented teenagers standing around with nothing to do.”
Zola would start this teaching, “When the young man saw the girl he wanted, or the girl his father said he wanted….” He always got a laugh from the audience.
Anyway, when the young man found his intended, he would go to her house, taking a contract, wine, and money. After knocking on her
door, he’d enter and display his gifts. The contract spelled out each marriage partner’s responsibility exactly. The wine sealed the
contract. When the young man put the cup of wine in front of the young woman, she had about 10 seconds to decide if she wanted to
spend the rest of her life with this man. To be fair, he was probably already known in the community. She even may have flirted with
him at the well or in the fields. But, arranged marriages were also common.

    ReplyDelete
  56. (Love Story Continued)

The money was the “bride price.” Sons were prized for fieldwork, but when it came time to marry, daughters benefited their parents.
The young man would present a large sum, usually his life savings. He wanted this girl. She would count the money, read the contract,
and either pick up the wine or leave the table. By picking up the wine, she said “yes” and the bridegroom would say, “I go to prepare
a place for you” (John 14:2-4).
The young woman would cover her face with a veil, symbolizing her consecration and her separation from the available young women.A
veil, not an engagement ring, told other men she was spoken for. Off the young man went to his father’s house to prepare a room for his
bride-to-be. It took about a year to prepare a room properly. Only the young man’s father could declare the room finished, lest the
anxious young man build a jiffy lean-to and rush back to get the girl.
The engagement period tested their resolve to be true to each other. They had no idea when the wedding would be. Yeshua says in
Mark 13:32, “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the son, but only the Father.”
While the bride waited, she gathered her trousseau and kept her oil lamp filled, ready in case her bridegroom came for her at night, which was often the case. Walking down the uneven stone streets of Israel at night is difficult without a light, even today. Matthew 25:1-13 speaks about being ready for the bridegroom’s arrival in the night. Not a night should pass when we don’t expect our bridegroom to appear.
Just before he arrived, the bridegroom would call out or sound a trumpet so as not to catch her with cold cream on her face. Then off they’d go to the bridegroom’s father’s house for the bridal night and banquet. They’d enter the bridal chamber, and when the marriage was consummated, the friend of the bridegroom announced it. John 3:29 says, “He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice.”
The bride and groom emerged from the bridal chamber seven days later as husband and wife. The banquet gave time for rejoicing that the bride and groom were now one, before they set off for their own place.
Our Jewish bridegroom, Yeshua, enacted this same tradition for us: He came from His Father’s house (Heaven), brought the contract (the New Testament), presented the wine (blood), and paid the “bride price” for us (His life, the highest price ever paid for a bride). He has gone to prepare a place and will come back for us (John 14:3).
We are sanctified, set apart by the veil of Believers. He will call us up with a shout and trumpet (Rapture) and after seven days/years we will have the marriage supper with our Lord. We will live with Him forever. The ultimate love story. "

  59. Mrs. C~

Your story with your daughter has touched me greatly. I have such a close relationship with mine right now. I see so many changes as they must happen and as they are growing into independence internally as well as externally. How hard it must have or still is to see your daughter pull away like that. What is left but to stand firm for the Lord and try to save your daughter during that season of life? Oooh...how challenging that had to have been and teach on prophecy when many do not understand?

Scoffing is probably one of the most hurtful things that cut through me next to physical violence. I guess if I am going to be deemed crazy… it is for the Lord :) Thanks for sharing that. I will count my blessings each day with my daughter, and all the children around me who still desire to play and share in my presence in their season of life. Thanks for reminding me how things can change on a dime. Each day is truly a gift from God.

In that book I mentioned the other day, something else was said that gave me some wonderful food for thought. [Sic] He spoke of balance. Just like the scales of justice. How in our lifetime the one side keeps getting stacked up with afflictions both light and heavy but they are only for a moment. Then he spoke of how God, who is so loving, calmly loves to balance out the scales in our lives with something much more permanent; something that is everlasting, his Love, Favor and Blessings that will help us now as well as carry over into eternity. He reminded me how when he gives us these things he is also lightening our load at the same time he is serving justice his way and his way only.

    Have a blessed day!!

  60. Thanks Paula...I felt a little like Casper the friendly but invisible ghost on this one. lol

Just another observation and possible silly thought...if the enemy (satan) thought this was another false prophet he would instruct/prompt the MSM to promote him just like he did with Harlold Camping. They do not tend to promote the truth but only lies and half truths.

Mrs C I don't think JD does not believe Isaiah 17 will take place necessarily but it was just not the focus of this particular sermon? That is how I would interpret what he preached on.

My main problem with the sermon was as Sue pointed out...a rapture on Rosh Hashanna eliminates the imminecy of the rapture occuring at "any moment".

I still found it interesting and food for thought. Things however you slice them are heating up and much is pointing to September.

    Maranatha!

  61. Paula said... "...it was WVBORN56 who offered the link and I only made it clickable."

    Paula,
Not to get on your case any more, but I think you are confusing the issue as WV's link was to JD sermon and had nothing to do with remote viewing.

I haven't really looked for it due to info-overload and personal time constraints.

Additionally, if you think about it, if someone makes reference to a topic you usually have to also reference the 'someone' who posted it to keep others from having to scroll up & down the page trying to find out what the issue was all about.

That's not the same as 'going after' someone who is posting weird stuff without discernment or disclaimer ... we keep Stephen around for that...
    Just kidding, Stephen!
    ;)

  62. Question for you all,

Some Christians believe that the rapture could occur on Rosh Hashanna or on Pentecost Some Year? Doesn't that also eliminate imminency? When the Some Year gets closer, will Christians be saying it could be This Year?
    Diane

    ReplyDelete
  63. DrNo - where did this 'remote viewing' thing come from? I didn;t see it anywhere (?) - Did you confuse two different blog sites ? :)

Anon- My personal opinion is that events relating to the Church won't occur on any of the traditional Jewish 'dates' - I believe the Church and the Nation of Israel are THAT separate.

I don't even believe it will be tied to Pentecost. My feeling is that the Rapture will occur on a completely "random" date.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Doc No,

I didn't bring up the remote viewing one in this thread but had to respond to others who did. Confusion on anyone's part can be traced to the re-introduction of that earlier video rather than the one people initially thanked me for linking to in this thread, which I kept reminding them wasn't one I found in the first place. I know which is which. I also know remote viewing is bad. And that all non-Biblical prophecies must be weighed carefully.

  66. My Brother Scott :)
Yes indeed, the Wedding ceremony is very beautiful, and it was my great privilege to post that. It’s a wonderful reminder of His Love for us! Our Hope is in Him, as we await His return for us!
I agree that the Rapture will not occur on any of the set, traditional Jewish Holiday dates :) It falls into the numbers game etc., and the Jewish Calendar has been messed with too many times by the Rabbis over thousands of years. However He will indeed fulfill the Jewish Feasts. Some Christians celebrate the Jewish Holidays, and that’s ok, as long as they keep in mind the Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of these Feasts. He is the One who gives them substance, and reality.
    Colossians 2:16-17
16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.
The Feasts do indeed have a prophetic importance that has relevant meaning for the Church.:) Just like Matt.24, Jesus was speaking to the Jews of the Trib., but it is also for we, His Bride, to know the Season we are in :)

    God Bless You Brother! :)

  67. Hi all. What a great comment stream on this post.

If I may, I have one last observation for this post.

This whole process of coming to Scott's blog and discussing prophecy is in and of itself God's word being fulfilled.

Just the fact that we all are located in different places around the world and we are coming to this one location to discuss the signs is absolutely amazing.

In Christ, we are to draw close to one another so we may be comforted, reassured and inspired to witness to those who are outside of Christ.

As the disciples and others met, listened to and followed Christ, that process, like ours here now was so important because it ultimately meant the difference between life and death.

We all come here to discuss, question and ultimately understand God's holy word. In the short time that I have been here, I have changed not only in understanding God more but in action, in stepping out for God also.

You all have played a part in my walk as I imagine the followers in Christ's day did for each other.

Whether we post a link that someone may question or have a different opinion on doesn't matter. The blessing is having the confidence and trust in each other to lay it out in the open without the fear of being judged.

I believe that this Christ designed process, to get us to this understanding, is the foundation on which the Church was established so we could go out and witness to the world.

I don't know about the rest of you here but I feel closer to Christ when I'm here with you. Now if I can just feel that way at church sometimes.

What I'm trying to say here is,the fact that we can trust each other means we are better prepared to show that love to others and hopefully bring them to Christ!

    God bless!

  68. Amen - James and Mrs C !
    I agree with every word

The dicsussions are really deep and insightful, and I'm glad to have a place where I can continue to come and learn. I have certain areas of strengths and certain weak areas, and I can come here and bolster my weaker areas. My feeling is - is that we're all bunkered together, riding this thing out while we wait for Jesus.

Paul definitely had it right didn't he?

  69. Dear Brother James :) For quite sometime now, I have felt and have to say, that the Lord is restoring, cleaning up, shaking up, His Church to back to its origin. This is all in cleaning up, so as to speak, His Bride before He comes for us I believe.
James, your words are so much more elegant, and beautiful, describing that process, who could add to it! :) Just as our Brothers & Sisters in Christ, thousands of years ago, we gather, we fellowship in His Love. I Pray by His Grace...His Strength...for all of us...that we fight the good fight...finish the race...with all Honor, Praise and Glory to Him Forever!

    God Bless You Brother!

  71. Wow-ok here we go! 1st jd, jewish holy days etc. I love j.d. he rocks and he is from the middle east originally. most, but not all, people on this site come from a "Christian" American viewpoint. Frequently, with much difficulty, do they come to understand the m.e. viewpoint. Jesus was a Jew and as such celebrated Jewish Holy Days. He was sent for the Jews, but they shunned him, and thats how us Gentiles got lucky. The Bible-written for Jews by Jews (pretty much) We are grafted in. Why? Cuz we are outsiders! With that in mind...
Every Jewish Holy Day has a start date. Just like Christmas to Americans-Dec 25th, right? Always, no matter what. But Thankgiving, that is another story! Always on a Thursday but it is not the same date each year!
Same with Rosh Hashana! It doesn't have a set date! The start is really a mystery. Why? Because it has to do with being able to see the moon! Huh? The Priests would have to go outside and look for the moon. If they didn't see it, no start. Sometimes, maybe it was cloudy or rainy, and they had to stand outside for a while before they could see it. Then, if they saw it, the Holy Day could start.
In Jesus's day, it was known as, the Holy Day, that no man knew the day or hour! Ring a bell anywhere people?
Remember always with the Bible, it was written from a Jewish point of view so in order to understand it completely (if that is even possible)you must understand Judaism. I will try and find a link somewhere that explains it better. And please Messianic Jews, help a sister out here!
2nd thing-this crazy remote viewing thing that satan used to hurt feelings and stir up trouble. A few days ago Paula (who I absolutely adore, and who is a mighty Christian)put up a link to a website that had some very uplifting exciting things. The person who has that site loves the Lord fiercely, but he frequently includes things that are in error. One of these things is a video by an ex military guy Major Ed Dames. It was very interesting! Not Biblical, but interesting none the less! And actually most of what he saw "remotely" lines up with what the Bible says about the Tribulation. (and this video wasn't even the reason Paula sent people to the site to begin with)
Anyway, I commented on the remote viewing thing at the time. I guess Doc missed it and in a post several days later, I commented on something completely different, but in the comment somehow alluded to the remote viewing video. Doc, of course, just as he should have, said remote viewing was bad news etc complete with links and commentary ;) Doc is always very thourough.
Whew, all because Paula innocently wanted to share some info about the space shuttle and illuminati symbolism.
satan has to be the most annoying butthead ever! NO wonder God kicked him out. I have to take authority and kick him out everyday, sometimes many times a day! But LOVE prevails and I think it is all worked out now. ally

  72. Ally, thank you for doing the research and straightening out a tangled mess that began as a simple miscommunication and snowballed from there. I tend to respond to such things by just backing out so as to avoid repeating them.

And God bless you for your kind words in my direction! :-D With mom's situation and some physical issues of my own, I wasn't in any mood to try and fix this. (We're planning to go up to visit her this weekend.)

(Though I have to say, I don't think "luck" was why the Gentiles can be saved.) ;-)

  73. Great Job Ally :)....

Applause...Don't you ever doubt yourself in life - (ha ha). That was some amazing tracking. The evil one loves to turn people on each other. We have to remember spiritual warfare is at hand and not always can we see it working. We just can't feed it :) Paula you have a safe trip and know we are thinking of you through all this always!

  77. Thanks GG and James! :-D

Not thinking is my middle name!

  78. Scott, are you sure it was DrNo's fault. Looks to me like it was because the Euro tanked pushing silver up due to the Elliot Wave's inverted cantilever Thing-a-Ma-Gig just as Gold was going inverted and the politicians pulled one eye out of the sand to get a breath.

    Did I get it wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  79. Hmmm. could be. I hadn't considered that aspect. Of course DrNo is probably somehow behind that as well, so ultimately, his fault regardless :)

  80. Caver-yes, you are correct! Giggles!
Paula-satan loves to kick you while you are down, so we have been kicking him back for you! Always up to no good, that evil little slug. I have heard though he is quite physically attractive and really likes to borrow Mick Jaeger's clothes! I always picture him sliding into the Pit with a long flowing boa fluttering behind as his voice trails off "nooooooo" and the Saints dressed in white cheer like football fanatics for the winning touchdown!Yes, I know I'm a weirdo.
The LOVE here is amazing isn't it? Oops, I didn't mean luck. I meant we are soooo lucky! ;)
    Another day another testimony! ally

  81. Well, the shuttle has landed safely without incident, and the dreams and visions are still merely interesting. ;-)

As I ponder the great multitude of such dreams and visions and symbols and assorted weird experiences by everyone from pagans to charismatics, the answer seems clearer than ever:

It's a combo of guesswork, incantations, and false flags. Guesswork by those who are spiritualitsts, incantations by satanists who try to make things happen through symbols, rituals, and causing premature fulfillments of Bible prophecy in order to thwart God's timing, and false flags by globalists who do everything possible to unite the world through fear.

    Interesting...
