Exclusive: EU calls emergency meeting as crisis stalks Italy
European Council President Herman Van Rompuy has called an emergency meeting of top officials dealing with the euro zone debt crisis for Monday morning, reflecting concern that the crisis could spread to Italy, the region's third largest economy.
European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet will attend the meeting along with Jean-Claude Juncker, chairman of the region's finance ministers, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso and Olli Rehn, the economic and monetary affairs commissioner, three official sources told Reuters.
...two official sources told Reuters that the situation in Italy would be discussed. The talks were organized after a sharp sell-off in Italian assets on Friday, which has increased fears that Italy, with the highest sovereign debt ratio relative to its economy in the euro zone after Greece, could be next to suffer in the crisis. A second international bailout of Greece will also be discussed, the sources said.
Monday's emergency meeting will precede a previously scheduled gathering of the euro zone's 17 finance ministers to discuss how to secure a contribution of private sector investors to the second bailout of Greece, as well as the results of the stress tests of 91 European banks.
In Germany on Sunday, President Christian Wulff said Greece would need a lot longer to resolve its debt problems than many people in Europe were now acknowledging.
Wulff, a former leader in Chancellor Angela Merkel's conservative Christian Democrats and now Germany's ceremonial head of state, told ZDF television there was a need for "an overall concept" for resolving Europe's debt crisis.
Watching developments in the EU over the past several decades has been fascinating. Until the last 12-18 months, the EU appeared to be an unstoppable force as rapid growth had been taking place for several years and the government grew in leaps and bounds as multiple laws and regulations were enacted.
Then the financial woes began to creep in and now, suddenly, we have the EU nations seemingly lined up awaiting their turn to play Greece. Now Italy appears next in that line with Spain and Portugal not far behind. How much longer can the EU support these countries?
As mentioned before, something has to happen - probably something large - for this Roman Empire II to morph into the 10 kings stage. For this reason any perception of crisis in the EU is of great interest, and this is one that we should watch closely.
Scott-have you looked at the usgs earthquake map lately? West coast is wiggling around a lot and there have been some pretty decent size quakes in Utah this week too. ally

ReplyDeleteI did and I plan on consolidating these news later today
New Zealand had another one as well I believe.
The quake story is indeed heating up.
Good Morning~
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let everyone know that Dutch was right on the money again this morning here in Illinois. My daughter and I were sound asleep after the hubby went to work. Before we knew it the same type of storm we had 2 weeks ago blew right through here this morning. I felt the house vibrating and the windows flexing. We moved to the basement quickly. Right now they said there are approx 615,000 people without power. We just got ours back on. I went outside to claim some of our stuff and saw the neighbor’s trampoline was in another yard and squashed like a bad spider. I will keep watching his warnings. This will make 2 since you gave me that link that he has been right about.
Have a blessed day!!!
GG
GG, are you in northern IL? Just wondering where the storms were. I'm in what's called the "metro east" area of St. Louis, in IL. We haven't had any storms here today--or all weekend, for that matter. Sadly, the heat index is supposed to reach 115 degrees today, though, so a storm would be welcome...I think... ;)
ReplyDeleteI continue to watch Dutch, too. The "negative earthquake" video was really peculiar. I sure would like to know what that's about!
On a different note...
How in the WORLD can any Bible-believing Christian remain an amillennialist during these times?!?!?! Someone please help me understand! I think about it a lot. I've studied their view a little, but not at length. It just makes no sense to me. Thoughts?
Come Lord Jesus!!!
Hi Alice~
ReplyDeleteWe live near Chicago in the western suburbs. I checked 2 days ago with Dutch's site and it gave a warning for Illinois. Yesterday there was nothing. Today was only to have a 30% chance of rain. This came in with the same type of bandwidth as the last one. For my safety I have opted to utilize his knowledge to give me a window for protection and planning. One thing I have noticed is these bands all look very similar when they pass through. If they are coming from the west why don't they stay like that for days and then hit us like mother nature used to do? That is what I find amazing now. It's like a silent creeping up of tornadic activity. I am with you dear sister, Come Lord quickly!!!
GG
GG-the reason the storms are different is because they are not natural storms. The storms that dutch sees coming are manufactured, created by man, created by our own government with Harp (i spell it wrong on purpose, so the blog doesn't receive so much gov't monitoring)to help bring our nation to it's knees. Apparently America is not falling fast enough so "they" are helping us along. The entire flooding situation in the mid west was engineered by the powers that be. There is a great deal of proof that establishes all of what I am saying.
ReplyDeleteDutch is trying to explain to people what is happening so we can be aware of what is going on and be prepared. He is trying to save lives!
I have come to the definite conclusion that most Americans find it impossible to believe that our government would purposely try and harm us. So that makes it very difficult for them to wake up and see what is really happening. I generally suggest for all who don't quite "get it" yet to take a field trip to the nearest holocaust museum. It is amazing to see the before and after thought process with that.
Because I have nothing, I must rely on Jesus for all things. For those of you who have even a little something, you must prepare! And prepare now! You need food and water stored. enough for at least a month. Keep your car gassed up at all times. Keep supplies in your car also. establish meeting places for your family in case you aren't allowed to go home. Really pay attention to what is going on around you. And be ready if the hs wakes you up at 3 a.m. and tells you to go..
Yes, my King will take care of me but I might want some Charmin over old newspaper. lol.
Glory to God! Praises to his name! And Maranatha! Please hurry Jesus! I'm getting antsy.
Please pray for Dutch also. He is doing something very dangerous to save the lives of people he doesn't even know. No greater love than this, a man who lays down his life for a friend (isn't that what Christ did for all of us?) Truly, it won't be long now!
Hi Ally~
ReplyDeleteYes, something very odd is going on here and truly has been going on for at least 2-years from what I have been able to track, each year getting worse in intensity. I feel my best when I am close to the clouds as you can tell from the photos. This felt like a surprise attack for me this morning. I bet it if I took a picture on the storm tracks for each one that we get like this, they will look identical. The fronts or bandwidths on the TV's and weather channels all look the same every time. I normally watch with warning, know when to pack up the goods, get child in tow, and head for the basement. The amount of times it has been when my husband is not here is just uncanny. I can tell you I am not the type just go down there unless necessary. I have this down to a science. You can hear it on the side of the house like a bad rumble and big vibrations. Then the windows start to build up pressure like they are going to snap. We have been clocked out here at 65-75 and 90mph's on different days and no tornado warning at all. The amount of water pouring into our windows due to this force is unbelievable and they have replaced them 3 times under warranty trying to help out but the hits are too strong.
When we are down in the basement you can see the trees bending downward toward the ground and just hear the upstairs of the house above us moving and flexing in a cracking sounds. I don't know how or why someone would want to produce this but I do believe it's something along that line after Dutch's warnings have matched to the time frame. It is so sad dear sister that evil is abound and at that level.
Thank you for the prayers you gave us all today. I say an AMEN to that. I pray that many wake up fast. I just don't see how many are not questioning things going on around them. It's beyond my comprehension at this point.
Hang in there too!!
GG
Your description of the weather, GG, sounds familiar. The unbelievably high winds, tornadoes that develop without any warning whatsoever, etc., never used to happen--not like this, anyway. Two years ago, our small town which is up on a bluff, received 16 inches of rain in about 6 hours. Flash flooding occurred where it had never happened before. Nearly the exact same thing happened in my mother's town just a few weeks ago. Very, very strange.
ReplyDeleteAnd all this talk of bad weather made me think of Joplin, MO. My dh and daughter are there right now, helping with ongoing clean-up. My dh says you have to see it to believe it... sad stories, too. But thankfully, lots of wonderful Christians are still there pitching in. I try to remember to keep them and the community of Joplin in my prayers.
I love how we work together and pray together here! We have to keep each other in prayer. When I see the storms coming, I will pray for you! :) We will be ok because Jesus cradles us like babies! ally
ReplyDeleteWow - I didn't really realize how different these storms are out your way...Very alarming. So it sounds like these appear and disappear quickly, but are much more violent. I'll be praying for you all.
ReplyDeleteScott, yes, last year I remember a St. Louis weather man apologizing to us in the "metro east" for giving us no warning whatsoever when we had a tornado in the middle of the night. I don't really think it was their fault that they couldn't warn us--it literally developed ON TOP of us with no time to spare!
ReplyDeleteAll I know is we never had storms quite like this until a few years ago.
A line of thunderstorms that looked small and harmless quickly grew in place in our area last evening. We had strong winds but not extreme and lost power till sometime during the night. God has continued to bless us by sparing us the extremes because we have no basements in our area, and with our gas furnace right next to the bathroom we can't take refuge in the tub like they tell you to in houses like this. But yeah, the past year or so the storms just seem to pop up out of nowhere.
ReplyDeleteHi Paula~
ReplyDeleteI will keep praying for you especially without a safe place for refuge. Hopefully soon enough these hits will be over and we all will no longer have to be scrambling around unexpectedly. I am attaching some links here from yesterday’s storms. Just from my house to the up north area is about 80 miles. The amount of uprooted trees and roots looks like a war zone in many towns. This morning we still have about 350,000 without power and will be for another day or so. The total number yesterday without power was around 868,000. That is tough with this heat. I can’t recall ever hearing so many stories of people trapped in their cars due to trees falling on top of them. This morning I saw a story of a family in an apartment who was giving their son a bath and the tree fell into his room. They are OK but the whole wall (brick) is off and you can see it as a clear opening from the street. Many streets are closed off with huge trees lying across them. Many businesses are closed. It just saddens me to think someone could be tampering with our lives like this. (Sorry, I just don’t know how to do the manual linking thing. I could create a bigger mess or a broken link in trying) More storms are possible tomorrow. I am going to check Dutch’s site this morning.
Have a blessed day all!!

Were these predicted by Dutch's site in advance?
ReplyDeleteyes, dutch predicted EXACTLY where the storms would be, when they would occur and how awful they would be. He uses numerous available radar weather maps and searches for harp signiture rings. When they are spotted, he records the maps and makes a warning and shows you exactly what is going on. After the gov't super heats the ionisphere....sometime within 24 to 48 hours extreme weather occurs. If you happen to be located at the center of the ring, it is really bad ie. joplin, mo. He has had about 100% accuracy rate too! His dad designed radar systems for the military and dutch wanted to be a weatherman so those two things worked in perfect harmony. His earthquakes predictions are right on too. It is so sad to realize the govt is purposely destroying the midwest with man made storms in order to destroy farmland, make people homeless, buy up the farmland at pennies on the dollar and then they sell it to geo. sore os. It is nuts but true. I sure hope Jesus gets here soon :) It is gonna be really ugly by oct/nov, and by next summer at the lastest, the food shortages will be immense, even in the u.s. ally
ReplyDeleteGood Morning~
ReplyDeleteHere is the link I use. He talked about ours on 7-9-11 and it hit on 7-11-11.
Two days ago he warned about Colorado and Nebraska I belive and sure enough they got slammed last night.

I just find it very odd that he has been right here during 3 storms we have had in almost 2 months. Pretty on track if I must say so.
God Bless!!!
