The Middle East Reality

It amazes me how many MSM reports on the Middle East situation (not just Egypt, but the entire region) are completely missing the point. Is this intentional, or is it true ignorance?

Just look at these headlines (from foreign press releases of course):

Muslim Brotherhood: 'We are against Zionism'

A spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt on Thursday evening repeatedly refused to commit to maintaining the peace treaty with Israel, or even recognizing Israel, if the Brotherhood becomes a player in the future governance of Egypt.

Report: Hamas Stirring Up Violence in Egypt

Hamas is attempting to increase the level of violence in Egyptian demonstrations, according to a report in the Egyptian daily Al-Yawm Al-Sabah that was translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI). According to the report, Hamas terrorists were recently caught on their way to demonstrations.

More terrorists are believed to have infiltrated Sinai recently. There has also been movement in the other direction, as Hamas prisoners escape jail in Egypt while police are busy with the protests.

The Gaza-based terrorist group is in fact an offshoot of the Brotherhood, as is the Jordanian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Israel-based Islamic Movement.

Iran's leader predicts new Egypt to endanger Israel's existence

Tehran - Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said Friday that a new political set-up in Egypt would endanger Israel's existence.

'The Zionists [Israeli leaders] fear the latest unrest as they are quite aware what would eventually happen when Egypt stopped its alliance with them,' Khamenei said at the Friday prayer ceremony in Tehran.

All our predictions in this regard would then come true,' he said, referring to the Iranian forecast that one day a popular outcry in the Arab world would prepare the ground for the collapse of the Israeli state.

At least one article comes from the U.S.:

Muslim Brotherhood seeks end to Israel treaty

A political leader of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood Thursday called on any government that replaces Hosni Mubarak’s regime to withdraw from the 32-year-old peace treaty with Israel.

“After President Mubarak steps down and a provisional government is formed, there is a need to dissolve the peace treaty with Israel,” Rashad al-Bayoumi, a deputy leader of the outlawed movement, said on Japan’s NHTV.

In the past, Muslim Brotherhood leaders have supported the Palestinian branch of the brotherhood, Hamas, that rejects any negotiations with Israel and pledges to destroy the Jewish state.

And that represents the bottom line to this entire situation: "...rejects any negotiations with Israel and pledges to destroy the Jewish state." What else needs to be added to that?

And this article, from American Thinker is well worth reading, as it characterizes the situation:

We Are Witnessing the Collapse of the Middle East

If Egypt should fall, it will mark the beginning of the end for what little remaining stability there is in the Middle East.
Jordan is facing similar unrest, as are Algeria and Yemen. Lebanon and Tunisia fell in January.

It is highly unlikely that these events are unrelated. A combination of leftist and Islamist forces provoked the protests, and we are likely looking at a ring of radical Islamic states rising up to surround Israel.

Once their power is solidified, perhaps in a year or two, they will combine forces to attack Israel. If Israel falls, the United States will stand alone in a sea of virulent enemies and impotent allies.

That sounds like a quote taken directly from the pages of biblical prophecy.

If their street revolutions are successful, these Middle Eastern countries will rapidly degenerate into radical Muslim thugocracies allied with our communist enemies. Israel will be the first target, and with Obama's radically anti-Israel orientation, the Israelis will stand alone. We will be next.

We knew this day would come. The day in which "all the nations of the earth are gathered against her".

We are witnessing this coming together of the nations against Israel. That is when lies beneath these riots and calls for immediate change in government. We will continue to see moderate governments morph into radical anti-Israeli governments. You can bank on that - the Bible tells us this truth.

  1. Scott,

You asked: Is this intentional, or is it true ignorance?

Here's Tammy Bruce's take on it: What Obama Administration Is Doing In Egypt Is An Impeachable Offense.

My take on it is it's very much intentional!

Before Obummer was "elected" I sent an email to a number of friends stating that we are witnessing a preview of how the A/C will be presented to the world by a willingly controlled media.

  2. But we have to always remember - its all part of the overall plan.

I was just thinking about this while driving home - for whatever reason - we are seeing the declining influence of America in the Middle East - and as a result, radical Islam is is seeing a major growth spurt and taking over previously moderate governments.

But this had to happen for the last remaining events to take place. America's influence HAD to diminish to where it is today, leaving that door open for Islamic factions to take over..

Now they are emboldened more than I have seen since 1979. This feeling of empowerment, IMO, will lead to the last epic battles that we are all so familiar with.

Its all part of the plan - and if it brings us closer to CHrist - then bring it on...This is the only way I can view whats going on and maintain my sanity :(

  3. Scott,

I know you agree, and have a good understanding of "the powers that be".

Yea, a few parts, like me wig Sybil wears and Basil – well, I did his ‘voiceover’. Then of course Manuel’s tash was mine, I didn’t need it back, it soon grew again.

  5. You guys are killing me...I can promise you - my favorite comedy of ALL TIME is Fawlty Towers without a doubt. I still laugh at those shows today as much as I did back in the early '80s when I discovered them. Classics IMO

  6. Scott,
I haven't commented in a while, but I've been reading your blog regularly for about 18 months. Thank you! It's been a huge encouragement as times grow darker. By calling attention (that the MSM won't) to the gathering storm, you have helped strengthen my faith in the Lord Jesus. The bible has to be true - there is no other way to explain recent events.
Thanks again. See you soon, I hope.

Thanks a ton - I really appreciate the comments and the encouragement. It means a ton, it really does.

I can relate. For me, I was a very "lukewarm" Christian, at best, when I stumbled on prophecy. And the realization that we are indeed in the very last days, reawakened my faith and ignited a passion for reading and studying the Bible. I suppose thats the intent of our prophetic scriptures.

But again, I can't tell you how much I appreciate the comments - its like a booster hot!

    God Bless
    Scott
