The Coming World Currency

As stated before, it really is amazing that current "issues" which were difficult to discuss at prophecy meetings and Bible studies only a few brief years ago (because they seemed "controversial" or remote at best) are now publicly discussed without even a raised eyebrow. My, how things have changed.

We also know that in order to implement the "Mark of the Beast" as described in Revelation 13:16-17, the world must have a centralized financial system and presumably, a central currency in order to make this work.

Even dating back to the 1960's, prophecy scholars called for a coming central currency as we approach the Tribulation - an idea that seemed ridiculous back then, but now it has become generally accepted. Amazing.

International Monetary Fund director calls for new world currency

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, managing director of the International Monetary Fund, has called for a new world currency that would challenge the dominance of the dollar and protect against future financial instability.

“When we worry about the deficiencies of the international monetary system, we are mostly worrying about volatility,” he added. There is “a sense that money sometimes flows around the globe in too-volatile a fashion and that countries need a more stable, more predictable external environment in order to prosper”, he said

He suggested adding emerging market countries' currencies, such as the yuan, to a basket of currencies that the IMF administers could add stability to the global system.

This has been proposed before. The first step in a world currency, under this view, would be via the IMF, who would impose a "basket of currencies" that the IMF would manage, and would represent an interim step before having a single, central world currency.

Strauss-Kahn saw a greater role for the IMF's Special Drawing Rights, which is currently composed of the dollar, sterling, euro and yen, over time but said it will take a great deal of international cooperation to make that work.

"Using the SDR to price global trade and denominate financial assets would provide a buffer from exchange rate volatility," Strauss-Kahn said, while "issuing SDR-denominated bonds could create a potentially new class of reserve assets".

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev last month said the currencies of Brazil, Russia, India and China should be included in the SDR valuation basket. The same month, Sarkozy said that the yuan should be included, and US President Barack Obama’s administration said it supports such a transition “over time”.

Strauss-Kahn said: "Increasing the role of the SDR would clearly require a major leap in international policy coordination. For this reason, I expect the global reserve asset system to evolve only gradually, and along with changes in the global economy."
Strauss-Kahn's views come a week before finance ministers from the Group of 20 developed and developing nations meet in Paris to discuss proposals by French president Nicolas Sarkozy for changes to global economic governance.

There is that phrase again "global economic governance". How many times have we seen that mantra repeated over the past couple of years?

We see even more momentum towards this effort:

IMF calls for dollar alternative

The International Monetary Fund issued a report Thursday on a possible replacement for the dollar as the world's reserve currency.

The IMF said Special Drawing Rights, or SDRs, could help stabilize the global financial system.

While they are not a tangible currency, some economists argue that SDRs could be used as a less volatile alternative to the U.S. dollar.

Again, this would represent an interim step towards an ultimate world currency.

The goal is to have a reserve asset for central banks that better reflects the global economy since the dollar is vulnerable to swings in the domestic economy and changes in U.S. policy.

In addition to serving as a reserve currency, the IMF also proposed creating SDR-denominated bonds, which could reduce central banks' dependence on U.S. Treasuries. The Fund also suggested that certain assets, such as oil and gold, which are traded in U.S. dollars, could be priced using SDRs.

And this:

In China, Tentative Steps Toward Global Currency

Just like all of the other signs that we track, this one is moving along exactly as one would expect. Note that none of the signs that we watch daily have shown any signs of reversal. Rather, the signs that we observe daily continue to progress daily - right into the Tribulation.

The speed at which all of this is happening is breathtaking, Of course, Jesus informed us that the signs would be like birth pains - and we all know that birth pains don't reverse course. Once real labor begins, it continues in a progressive manner - just like the signs that we watch.

Jesus told us exactly what to expect - and His words ring true every single day.

  1. I have thought for a while now
    that the one world government
is already in place via the IMF
and the UN. Most Americans have
no idea that the IMF even exists
and therefore no idea that the
    one world government is already
upon them. All that is left really
is the tweaking of a few details
    and the rearranging of countries
and their governments to bring them
into line with the new world order
    agenda.

  2. "Tribulation" is here......which is indicative of "birth pangs".

What we now await is the final 3.5 year period in which "Great Tribulation" commences; Michael the Archangel stands up; the Antichrist is revealed, the two witnesses prophesy; the jews flee to the mountains, and are protected; the wrath of God poured out - then the Rapture of the Church.

It's here, it's occurring, and the Church is witnessing it all.

  3. Jesus said 'in this world you will have tribulation'. We do and we are.

However THE Tribulation of Daniels 70th Week hasn't arrived yet according to all the other prophetic gems that have to happen at it's beginning.

Out of curiosity - is that the teachng of Preterism?
    Thanks.

  4. Michael the Prince

Daniel 12: 1"At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book.

Michael is the God appointed Arch Angel who fight’s in the heavenlies to protect Israel. He ‘stands up’ at the MID point, 3 1/2yrs into the 70th Week just as Israel is about to endure the wrath of the a/c.

    Stand’s up – Hebrew ‘amad’

Means to ‘take a stand’, he ‘remains’.

He is holding his ground to endure a terrible time of trouble – Jacob’s Trouble. He is intent on doing his job to fight for Israel at the worst time in her history. Michael is standing up by himself with no outside assistance.

    The Restrainer

2 Thess2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.

The Restrainer of lawlessness will be removed from His post and cease ‘to restrain’ so the ‘lawless one’, the a/c can be revealed in vs 8.

out of the midst - ek mesos

He is not standing up, or taking a stand, rather He is removed OUT from doing His job. Until he is removed, the a/c is unable to begin his work.

We cannot definitively say who the Restrainer is; but He is extremely powerful, much more than Michael who had needed help to withstand against the prince of Persia. The Restrainer is holding back the activity of Satan himself. It is most likely The Holy Spirit of God, who is residing within the Body of the Church until she too is removed from the earth.

One thing the language makes clear, the Restrainer is NOT Michael whose job it is to defend Israel. Why would he be taken OUT of the way at the time of Israel’s greatest need?

  5. I need to make a point here as I have SO MANY TIMES.....I hope that
some people will go back and reread
    their scriptures.

    (1) The antichrist WILL BE revealed
first, BEFORE the rapture can take
    place, please see 2 thessalonians
chapter 2....it is VERY clear on
    that.

    (2) I believe their WILL be a
    wolrd wide currency, but NOT
due to the fall of the dollar,

    NO WAY, aint gonna happen....

too many bears on the dollar.

It will be the EURO that fails.

  6. stephen...the anti-christ will be revealed before the DAY OF THE LORD (synonomous with the tribulation) "concerning the coming of our Lord (2nd coming) and our being gathered together to him (rapture)2 different events. paul is refering to his previous topic in 1 tesselonians (the rapture and 2nd coming)

  7. he goes on "i dont want you to be greatly shaken by some letter....as if the Day of the Lord(tribulation) had come." if they had a post-trib understanding why would the be greatly shaken? (the word means terrified) they would be eagerly waiting as they were commanded to do.he goes on "that day (day of the Lord or tribulation) will not come till the falling away...and man of lawlessness is revealed" ....

  9. Hi Stephen
It is the Grammar that needs a great deal of attention. Unless you recognise that Paul's letter does not flow chronologically, and you miss the parentheses, and forget Paul is reminding the Thess of a previous lesson, then you will miss the correct order.

First the restrainer is removed 2Thess2:6,7 so the apostasy(departure)takes place AND the man of sin revealed which is when he signs the covenant with majority Israel.
I too have said, so many times, so would you please read the Scripture with the above grammatical points in place.

NOTHING needs to happen before the Rapture, yet you are insisting certain ideas must happen first. this ignores imminency which Paul and James and John ALL expected Jesus to come for them in their lifetime. Imminency is a fact of Biblical scholarship that will not go away by wishing for it.

We could go at any second - there does not need to be ANY prophetic event first.
Paul used personal pronouns to say things like when WE which are alive and remain. WE shall ever be with The Lord.

The Church is in heaven identified as the elders, before the first seal is open. It is a glorious Truth, I hope and pray you 'get it'. That is why the early Church could genuinely say MARANATHA, and mean it. He comes'!(Not later, but NOW)

Listen to Scotts audio's, he explains it better than I do.

    God bless your entheusiasm.

Bless you for backing me up.

If Paul had taught the Thess to expect to be in the 7 years Tribulation, they wouldn’t have been upset by the false teaching that they were IN it. They wanted to know why hadn’t their dead loved one’s in Christ been resurrected, and why were they still in mortal bodies? Because the gathering in the Rapture had not occurred and neither was their present persecution THE Tribulation called ‘That Day’.

The grammar makes it clear Paul is saying that the Trib had not begun because the required elements for that THAT DAY had not occurred, one of those elements would have been the previous, imminent removal (or gathering together) of the Church from the wrath coming upon the 'earth dwellers'. Christians are no longer ‘of the world’; we are NOW citizen’s of heaven, seated in heavenly places but awaiting the redemption of our bodies from mortal to immortal.

What does the Church have to do with the punishment of unbelievers?

On the cross Jesus said ‘It is finished’ nothing to be added or removed regarding the security of His Body/Bride.

Do I sound exasperated? it's trying to find different words to make people read the scriptures intelligently as they would any other book.

Those false teachings to the Thess are still causing confusion to present day Christians and robbing them of the blessed hope of imminency, for which there is a reward.

NOTHING must happen prophetically before the Rapture can occur, it is 'overhanging' - an 'any second now'event that is squashed and denied if anything HAS to happen first.

God bless us all with the clarity of this Biblical fact.

  12. EI,
Why did you leave me with my boo-boo uncorrected?

When I wuz posting my comment in the comment window, the built-in dictionary flagged "imminency" and suggested "immanency", and me being stupid at the moment believed the stupid thing, thinking it wuz an irregular case word...

When I finally got around to double-checking I found that immanence is a real word [that I had never heard of...], but it has nothing to do with imminence!
    :(

PS. I added it to the so-called "dictionary".

  13. Micheal is visiting now.

My mom was visited in May and I was visited in June.....

She had a hand placed on her mouth and I was embraced in a hug...I HEARD the angels in conversation. My "message" was "It's OK" and "Take comfort".

What we experienced seems out of the Book of Daniel. I don't think it was Gabriel...that is was Michael.
