In the news...

We see several interesting news items today which involve more international calls for a global governance:

"Canadian Prime Minister Delivers Global Governance Plan"

This time it involves the G20:

During the January 2010 World Economic Summit in Davos Switzerland Prime Minister Stephen Harper, the current Chairman of the G-20, presented the upcoming agenda for the G-20 and G-8 meetings to be held in Ontario in June. Many were shocked to hear this Conservative leader declare that “we also know markets need governance. For the new global economy, the G-20 is what we have.” Harper went on to speak as an avowed Keynesian committed to a one world global economy, creating a world “we have been trying to build since 1945”. He went on to warn the world that national self interest sovereignty must be opposed to stave off a greater crisis than the current recession. For the next several months leading up to and including the G-20 meetings Stephen Harper will be attempting to convince the world to find global unity of purpose and adopt what he calls “Enlightened Sovereignty”.

"Never let a crisis go to waste". Now we see that the "one world system" is now in place? And just needs "governance"?

As Chairman, Harper reviewed the progress of the G-20 establishing unprecedented cooperation at their first meeting in Washington, November 2008 and then establishing the necessary institutions in London, April 2009. It was at these meetings where the leaders of 90% of the world’s economy agreed to walk in lock step to combat the global stock market crash. British Prime Minister Gordon declared that the one world system was now in place but needed governance. In London the Financial Stability Board was established with the stated objective “overseeing and regulating all systemically important financial institutions” around the world.

This now apparently homogenous group of leaders, acting in harmony and unison is described as “true Keynesians” by the Prime Minister. John Maynard Keynes’ 1940’s macroeconomic strategy is the path the G-20 chose as all twenty governments are implementing his theory of massive deficit spending to jumpstart the economy. The result is unprecedented national debt that threatens to cripple our future and even destroy capitalism. Keynes was well known for agreeing with Vladimir Lennon on how to bring down free market based societies. Keynes wrote “Lenin is said to have declared that the best way to destroy the Capitalist System was to debauch the currency. By a continuing process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens.

With national sovereignty dead, the world can move forward together. Harper uses the words of former U.S. Secretary of State, Cordell Hull, the driving force in the creation of the United Nations, who stated ‘to be sure, no piece of social machinery, however well-constructed, can be effective unless there is back of it a will and a determination to make it work.’ The global economic “social machinery” is now in place. All that needs to be done is to develop a world-wide will to subject ourselves to them. Harper went on to appeal “We must find that unity of purpose…. We must bring a sense of shared responsibility…… To be succinct, the real test of the G-20 going forward, is that it develops and sustains among its members a sense of shared responsibility towards the global economy.”

Wow...I never thought I would see a national leader come out with the true agenda of the G20 - but there it is, in plain english for anyone who wants to see it.

Then we turn to this article, and see another push, from another direction - for a form of global control - this time global governance with a "global green economy":

"Bali-Hoo: U.N. Still pushing for Global Control"

Despite the debacle of the failed Copenhagen climate change conference last December, the United Nations is pressing full speed ahead with a plan for a greatly expanded system of global environmental governance and for a multitrillion-dollar economic transfer scheme to ignite the creation of a "global green economy."

The new Rio summit will end, according to U.N. documents obtained by Fox News, with a "focused political document" presumably laying out the framework and international commitments to a new Green World Order.

Just exactly what that environmental order will look like, and the extent of the immense financial commitments needed to produce it, are under discussion this week at a special session in Bali, Indonesia, of the United Nations Environment Program's 58-nation "Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environmental Forum," which oversees UNEP's operations.

The GC/GMEF, as it is known, is made up of environmental ministers and top-level bureaucrats from a roster of supervising nations — the U.S. is one of them — and its meeting is surrounded by a galaxy of environmentalist non-government organizations (NGOs) and environmental journalists from around the world.

But the major topics are a global system of governance and what amounts to the next stage of a radical transformation of the world economic and social order, in the name of saving the planet.

"Moving towards a green economy would also provide an opportunity to re-examine national and global governance structures and consider whether such structures allow the international community to respond to current and future environmental and development challenges and to capitalize on emerging opportunities."

In all of this, it appears, the 2012 Rio Conference on Sustainable Development and the preliminary meetings that will determine its agenda is intended to play an important role in focusing attention on the agenda being discussed at Bali, and in creating the suggested frameworks of future "international governance."

Then we turn to the latest news coming from the EU - who, according to this article are beginning to "turn their back on democracy":

"Union chief, Barroso fear Europe 'returning to the 1930's'"

The chief of Europe's trade union chiefs, John Monks, has warned that the austerity packages being imposed across the bloc will send the continent "back to the 1930s." He reported that European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso also fears member states will turn their back on democracy - but for the opposite reason.

"This is extremely dangerous. This is 1931, we're heading back to the 1930s, with the Great Depression and we ended up with militarist dictatorship," the general secretary of the European Trades Union Congress (ETUC) said in an interview with EUobserver. "I'm not saying we're there yet, but it's potentially very serious, not just economically, but politically as well."

"He's very, very worried. He shocked us with an apocalyptic vision of democracies in Europe collapsing because of the state of indebtedness."

And then last but not least, in today's news, we can't forget about Iran's ever-present efforts to ignite the Middle East:

"Iranian ships head for Gaza"

Iran is sending aid ships to blockaded Gaza, state radio said Monday – a move likely to be considered provocative by Israel which accuses Tehran of arming the Palestinian enclave's Islamist rulers, Hamas.

"Until the end of the Gaza blockade, Iran will continue to ship aid," said an official at Iran's Society for the Defense of the Palestinian Nation.

A senior Iranian official said earlier Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards were ready to provide a military escort to aid ships heading to Gaza if Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei so commands.

The drum beat calling for global governance continues and it is coming from all directions: The U.N., the EU, the G20 and now, even the Canadian Prime Minister, usually thought of as conservative - are all planning for global governance. It is coming, and we know from the prophetic scriptures that the figure known as the antichrist will use such global governance for his own purposes. As stated before - the road is being paved.
