Time to plan for war

Thats the title of Caroline Glick's most recent article, and again, its worth repeating. The entire article is worth reading, but below are a few of the most germane quotes:

Time to plan for war"

So much for US President Barack Obama's famed powers of persuasion. At the UN's Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty review conference which opened this week, the Obama administration managed to lose control over the agenda before the conference even started.

But even before the conference began, with a little prodding from Egypt, the administration agreed that instead of focusing on Iran, the conference would adopt Iran's chosen agenda: attacking Israel for its alleged nuclear arsenal.

In diplomatese, "Middle East nuclear-free zone" is a well-accepted euphemism for stripping Israel of its purported nuclear capability while turning a blind eye to Iranian, Syrian and other Islamic nuclear weapons programs.

Egypt's demand, which it convinced more than a hundred members of the Non-Aligned bloc to sign onto, is for Israel to open its nuclear installations to international inspectors as a first step towards unilateral nuclear disarmament.

Israel's neighbors fully recognize that the purpose of Israel's undeclared nuclear arsenal is to guarantee Israel's survival and consequently only threatens those who would attack the Jewish state with the intention of annihilating it.

The US has now joined the ranks of fools who claim that nuclear weapons in the hands of states like the US and Israel are as problematic as nuclear weapons in the hands of states like Iran and North Korea.

The US's abdication of its responsibility as the leader of the free world to prevent the most dangerous regimes from acquiring the most dangerous weapons means that the responsibility for preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons has fallen on Israel's shoulders

Only Israel has the means and the will to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power. And the message the NPT follies convey is that Israel must develop contingency plans for attacking Iran as quickly as possible.

From the open preparations for war that Iran and its clients have undertaken, it is clear that if they initiate the next round of fighting they will fight a four front war against Israel. That war will be dominated by missile attacks against the entire country aimed at breaking the will of the Israeli people while forcing the IDF to divert vital resources away from Israel's primary target — Iran's nuclear installations — to contend with Iran's proxies' missile stores.

In the coming war, Israel will have only one goal: to destroy or seriously damage Iran's nuclear installations. Every resource turned against Iran's proxies must be aimed at facilitating that goal. That is, the only thing Israel should seek to accomplish in contending with Syria, Hizbullah and Hamas is to prevent them from diverting Israeli resources away from attacking Iran's nuclear installations.

These are dangerous times. Iran, which seeks to position itself as a regional superpower, has been emboldened by the Obama administration's abdication of US global leadership.

Only Israel can prevent Iran from endangering the world. But time is of the essence.

"IAEA set to focus on Israel"

What I find interesting about these two articles above is the following quote:

Inclusion of the item appeared to be the result of a push by the 18-nation Arab group of IAEA member nations, which last year successfully lobbied another agency meeting - its annual conference - to pass a resolution directly criticizing Israel and its atomic program.

Thats a predictable "ahhhhhhhhh" moment. So, how shocking. The same group (aka the "Arab group") of IAEA nations, interestingly, is the same group who refuses to recognize Israel's existence. The same group who wants Israel destroyed, wants Israel disarmed. How interesting.

I seriously doubt that Israel will disarm their nuclear arms (although it is possible in the current "upside-down" world, plus, it would be the ultimate pathway for Israel to have God as their only protection, so it is worth watching closely).

This is just more proof of the world that Zechariah predicted in the last days: A world aligned against Israel.

  1. Although the delusion was foretold long ago, it doesn't make it any less maddening to watch it play out.

It's been amazing to speak to believers and unbelievers alike about what is going on right now...It seems that everyone I talk to has their radar up.

Things are moving fast...very fast. It is now easy to see how an economic collapse, whether through a natural disaster or through a continued series of poor choices by the U.S. government, will provide a catalyst for a monumental shift in the way this world views itself and the answers it will turn to in order to try to achieve stability.

As for birth pangs, it seems like we have been at the height of a contraction since Mr. Obama took office. It will be interesting to see how much more damage he can do between now and November...It's pretty clear that the majority in Congress is on a political suicide mission.

  2. And as far as a world aligned against Israel, all it will take is for Israel to carry out a strike against one of its neighbors (which I think we can all agree is very likely), and it's not far fetched for everyone on earth to see Jerusalem as a "burdensome stone"--more than they already do.

  3. You encapsulated almost everything that I have been thinking as well.

You also said "things are moving fast..very fast" and
"It seems like we have been at the height of a contraction since Obama took office" and
"Its pretty clear that the majority in congress is on a political suicide mission"

Do you have access to my brain? :)

    Same thoughts here, exactly.

Things are indeed moving at an incredible pace. We're so rapidly approaching the very end of this age, its dizzying.

I'm getting prepared to do another prophecy series, at Church, and I wonder if we'll even be here this summer.

    Really.

God Bless and thanks for the insightful comments

You and Anonymous are so encouraging. I do hope you aren't having a chat with your alter ego? :D

I hope it is ok to post something from another blog? Its by Bob Mitchell and it really made me think. Here goes.

"The Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland erupted sending plumes of ash into the air and heading right for Europe.
This caused planes to be grounded for several days. We, like many others, had family and friends literally stranded abroard.

On a spiritual note however, it was around the same time the UK tourism board refused an ad from Israel showing the Western or Wailing wall in Jerusalem as a "must visit" spot for those touring Israel. The UK objected saying the wall (probably Judaism's most Holy site) was not part of Israel and therefore could not be advertised as such in order to encourage tourism.

The Lord God of Israel passes a blessing or a curse on those who either bless or curse the Jewish people. Well to state Judaism's holiest site as not Jewish surely is a smack in Israel's face.

    So what happens?
God causes an Icelandic volcano to erupt and prevent tourists visiting the UK.

London alone lost literally hundreds of millions of pounds in lost tourist revenue.

But there is another point to this. Europe the EU has become increasingly anti-Israel and anti semitic attacks have increased all over the European Union.

So God sends an ash cloud to Europe.
    Not just at any time.

But at the precise time the Jewish people remembered the Holcaust and the ashes of the 6 million Jews who were murdered in Europe during the Second World War.
At that very moment God pours ash over anti-Israel / anti semitic Europe".

    What do you think Scott?

  5. Wow....

First of all, you cracked me up with the "alter ego" comment - honestly, laughed out loud at that one! You're so funny!

But I had read some similar things, and I completely absolutely, 100% do not believe this is a coincidence.
Genesis 12 was meant to apply for all ages - including ours and there are no exceptions, including the UK and the US....

The ash thing is just amazing. How can things like this be a coincidence? The odds are incredibly small that these things would happen by chance,

God is sending many many warning signs. Unfortunately, most aren't listening.

By the way, Sue, can you post the actual link for that blog? I'd like to go there.

God's master plan is about to see completion (at least for this age)

Thanks Sue - you always make me smile :)

    God Bless

  6. Although I have been watching the link between events involving Israel with various natural, financial and environmental disasters around the world for some time now, I have never been so in awe of how quickly and frequently those things are happening as I am right now.

I keep going back to Zechariah 12:3 where it says "...all that burden themselves with it (Jerusalem) will be cut in pieces." The link between the world's treatment of Israel (most notably the US and Great Britain at the moment) and the birth pains we are seeing is a testament to the greatness of our God. It seems that every day a new low is reached in the US position toward Israel and every day we see another earthquake or tsunami or tornado or oil spill or flood or volcano or financial crisis....on and on it goes. In my lifetime, I've never seen anything like it.

It's the first time I've really associated the prophetic "birth pains" so directly to the world's treatment of Israel. It's also the first time in my lifetime where all of the governments of the world are against Israel. To me, it's the US and Great Britain that have changed this as both country's administrations have taken anti-Jewish stands over the last 18 months. What happens? The global economy collapses and we seem to get a huge earthquake every other day.

The frequency and severity of God's response will only increase as the consequences of the foolish decisions our countries make against Israel begin to play out. The whole world is about to place one foot into the Book of Revelation...

To me, the "final" step could be when Israel is forced to split Jerusalem which is the United Nations' end game as we speak. There is no going back at that point IMO and it looks like that is about two years out.

The only thing I can think of that could stop this is a change in Congress in November but as fate would have it, our President can insist that Israel accept a two state solution (with a split of Jerusalem) on his own without consent from Congress. One man gets to make the decision on this in the US...

    I admit I do have a somewhat enlarged ‘funny bone’; I love to make people smile, but not everyone ‘gets’ my humour, and I have had some unfortunate reactions at times. :{ When I was at school, I would tell my mum that I had made ‘Sir’ smile. Determined to bring me down to earth she would say, ‘that wasn’t a smile, he had wind’! Sigh. :}

An old friend of mine used to say that there is no such thing as a ‘coincidence’ with God; she described it as a ‘God-incidence’; and I agree, but my ‘wary nature’ has me holding my breath, feeling almost afraid to admit these things really are ‘birth-pang’ signs from The Lord, as I want so much for it to be real.

The article was from Shofar Ministries; just be aware that it is a Post-Tribulation site! (There have been a few of your own articles posted there).

The article is called “AN ICELANDIC VOLCANO, GOD, ISRAEL, AND EUROPEAN ANTI-SEMITISM”.
