Putin: Russia Has Built Nuclear Missiles That Can't Be Intercepted

Putin boasts of new Russian nuclear weapons that 'can't be intercepted'

Russia has tested an array of new strategic nuclear weapons that can’t be intercepted, the country’s President Vladimir Putin announced Thursday, marking a technological breakthrough that would dramatically increase Russia’s military capability and boost the Kremlin’s global position.
Speaking in a state-of-the-nation speech, Putin said the weapons include a nuclear-powered cruise missile, a nuclear-powered underwater drone and new hyper-sonic missile. He said the creation of the new weapons has made NATO’s US-led missile defense “useless,” and means an effective end to what he described as Western efforts to stymie Russia’s development.
“I want to tell all those who have fueled the arms race over the last 15 years, sought to win unilateral advantages over Russia, introduced unlawful sanctions aimed to contain our country’s development: all what you wanted to impede with your policies have already happened,” he said. “You have failed to contain Russia.”
The announcement comes as Putin is set to easily win another six-year presidential term in the March 18 election.
He said that the nuclear-powered cruise missile tested last fall has an unlimited range and high speed and maneuverability allowing it to pierce any missile defense.
The Russian leader said the high-speed underwater drone also has an “intercontinental” range and is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead that could target both aircraft carriers and coastal facilities. He said its operational depth and high speed would make it immune to enemy intercept.
He added to applause that names for the nuclear-powered cruise missile and the drone haven’t yet been chosen, and suggested that the Defense Ministry run a nationwide contest for the best names.

Russia has tested a new generation of nuclear weapons capable of hitting the US, Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.
The Russian president accompanied his announcement with a computer-generated video which showed the missiles arcing towards the US on a map of the world.
Alec Luhn, The Telegraph's Russia correspondent, tweeted images of the video, which was displayed behind Putin while he made his address, effectively Russia's "State of the Union," to the Federal Assembly in Moscow.

Putin said the new range of nuclear weapons would "neutralise" US missile defence, Luhn reported
"Russia remained a nuclear power, but no one wanted to listen to us. Listen to us now," Putin reportedly said.

The Associated Press gave more detail on the weapons he described. It said they include "a nuclear-powered cruise missile and a nuclear-powered underwater drone, that would be immune to enemy intercept."
Putin said the cruise missile was tested last fall and is immune to any missile defense.
He said the high-speed underwater can carry a nuclear warhead, and can hitt both aircraft carriers and coastal facilities.
He said that Russia also tested a new heavy intercontinental ballistic missile, called Sarmat, with a range and number of warheads exceeding its predecessor.

Satellite Photos Show New Iranian Missile Base In Syria, Lebanon Falls Into Iranian Orbit

Satellite Photos Show New Iranian Missile Base in Syria: Report

Newly released satellite photos purportedly show a new Iranian military base near Damascus, Syria which is capable of housing missiles capable of hitting Israel.
The photos, posted on Wednesday by Fox News and taken by ImagSat International, a geospatial company, show an area known as Jabal al-Sharqi, approximately eight miles northwest of Damascus. Fox reported that the photos show two newly constructed white buildings, each roughly 30 yards by 20 yards, which are described as hangars that can be used to store short-range and medium-range missiles.
The report attributed the new base to the Quds Force — the special operations arm of Tehran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The base is similar to the one seen in El-Kiswah, south of Damascus. The IDF reportedly destroyed that base in December by launching surface-to-surface missiles.
There has been a demonstrable growing Iranian military presence in Syria. Just last week, the New York Times reported the locations of dozens of bases in Syria which are operated by Iranian forces, including administrative bases, logistical bases, control centers for UAVs (drones) and training centers.
Israel has stressed in both rhetoric and action that it will not tolerate Iran’s increasing aggression in the region. Two weeks ago, an Israeli Air Force Apache helicopter shot down an Iranian drone that infiltrated Israeli airspace. Israel also responded by launching airstrikes against Iranian and Syrian military targets in Syria.
At the Munich Security Conference last week, Netanyahu warned that Israel would continue to act against Iran if ever necessary.
“We will act if necessary not just against Iran’s proxies but against Iran itself,” he said, holding up a piece of a piece of the Iranian drone that Israel shot down.

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s switch of loyalty to Hizballah and Iran shocks Riyadh and dismays Israel.

The Lebanese Sunni politician and his family have long been inextricably tied to Saudi Arabia and its royal house, as well as professing a pro-West orientation. However, it was suddenly noticed in Riyadh, as well as Jerusalem, that the most devoted Saudi loyalist in Beirut had quietly crossed the lines.

Hariri had quietly decided to follow the Iranian star and throw in his political lot with his old enemy, the Shiite Hizballah. And they had promised he would retain the premiership after Lebanon’s May 8 general election, in which their Shiite March 8 Alliance was sure to win a majority in parliament.

Caught unawares by Lebanon’s imminent slide into the Iranian orbit, Saudi rulers hurriedly summoned Hariri to Riyadh. He arrived Wednesday Feb. 28. But it was too late to change him back.

The prospect of an Iranian puppet government in Beirut is stunning news for Riyadh, which has traditionally regarded Beirut with its banks and varied luxuries as their back yard. But for Israel, it spells disaster. It means that Iran has succeeded in expanding its ominous, belligerent presence into both of Israel’s northern neighbors, Lebanon as well as Syria.

That the Saudis were caught napping showed in the interview the Washington Post ran Wednesday with Crown Prince Muhamed bin Salman. Referring to Saad Hariri, the prince commented: “Now he is in a better position in Lebanon” – clearly unaware of the shock ahead.

When the Lebanese politician was last summoned to Riyadh five months ago, he landed amid a domestic upheaval – as a result of which he, along with hundreds of Saudi notables, was stripped of his fortune before being allowed to leave. This visit, which Hariri would have preferred to avoid, coincided with another Saudi upheaval, the shakeup of its entire military and defense leadership.

The Nearness Of The Hour

The Hal Lindsey Report

Jesus Is Coming Soon!

by Hal Lindsey

For more than fifty years, I have lived in the urgent expectation of Jesus’ return.  Fifty years is a long time.  Do I regret it?  Was I wrong?

No and no!

In Luke 12:37, Jesus said, “Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching.” (NKJV)

As followers of Christ, we are to live in a state of watchfulness.  A thousand years ago, there were Christians living in expectation of His coming.  They were not foolish to do so.  They were obedient.  Titus 2:13 directs us to be “looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” (NKJV)

Those Christians from previous generations who lived in expectancy of Christ’s return tended also to be those who lived closest to Him.  They were the ones most interested in His word, in sharing the Gospel, helping the poor, and caring for the sick.

If you’re always on the lookout for Christ’s return, someone will inevitably remind you that no one knows the day nor the hour. But they’re missing the point.  It’s precisely because we do not know the day nor hour of His return that we are to be watchful.  In Matthew 24:42, Jesus said, “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.” (NKJV)

For two thousand years, people have been watching.  That sounds like a long time, but remember this.  God gave the first promise of His first coming to Adam and Eve.  It took thousands of years, but God kept His word and Jesus came.  By human standards, the Lord may sometimes seem slow.  But He has a reason for that.  2 Peter 3:9-10 says, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.  But the day of the Lord will come.” (NKJV)

When skeptics complain about God allowing evil and pain in the world, remember that “the Lord is not slack.”  He will one day stop all the child molesters, terrorists, and other criminals.  And He will hold them to account.  But He won’t just stop the evil you don’t like.  He will stop all evil.  He will hold everyone to account.

Why does he wait?  Because He “is longsuffering toward us.”  He’s “not willing that any should perish.”  He wants everyone to “come to repentance” — turn to Him and be saved.  For now, love and concern compel Him to wait.  But He will not wait forever.

Earlier in the same chapter, Peter wrote, “Knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, ‘Where is the promise of His coming?  For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.’” (2 Peter 3:3-4 NKJV)

I’m convinced that these are the last days, and can assure you that scoffers have come.  “I’ve been hearing this all my life!” … “You’ve been saying this for fifty years!”  Yes, and I will keep on saying it because it’s still true.

There are no signs yet to be fulfilled before the rapture.  But signs of the Second Coming are everywhere.  Since the rapture comes before the Second Coming, the rapture has to be exceedingly close!

The big thing that makes our time different from any other is the existence of Israel as a nation, and the Jews having control of Jerusalem.  But there are other things unique to our time, as well.  For instance, before now the world did not have the technology needed for the Antichrist to control commerce as completely as the Bible foretells.

There’s another sign unique to today.  Jesus is coming soon . . . because He must!

In dozens of areas, human civilization is hurtling headlong toward destruction.  Look at just one — machines with artificial intelligence.  Scientists like Stephen Hawking warn of such machines taking over the world, destroying the human race in the process.  Far out?  Even longtime proponents of artificial intelligence have now joined in the warnings.

Air Force General Paul Selva, the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the U.S. Defense Department, recently warned about “autonomous weapons systems” similar to the title character in the movie, “The Terminator” — and just as dangerous.  General Selva sees weapons that are not under direct human control as a menace to mankind. And, like self-driving cars, they’re just around the corner.

Then there’s nuclear proliferation.  Some people take comfort from the fact that no nuclear weapons have been used in combat since 1945.  But that’s like taking comfort from the fact that you’ve been playing Russian roulette for an hour and no shots have been fired.  Just keep playing, and the odds will catch up to you.

During the Cold War, Carl Sagan, wrote, “The nuclear arms race is like two sworn enemies standing waist deep in gasoline, one with three matches, the other with five.”

Except now, a madman in Korea also holds a match.  The nation of Iran, run by religious fanatics who see it as their job to create an apocalypse, also have, or will soon have, a match in their hands.  Next door neighbor enemies, India and Pakistan, both have nukes.  Russia has more than anybody, and no one knows if their leader is crazy or not.

But don’t be afraid. Things are shaping up as God said they would.  Just be sure you have invited Jesus to save you.  Receive the pardon purchased for you when He died on the cross.  He will instantly give you a new heart with new desires.  Ask Him to empower you with His Holy Spirit.  Then remember to thank Him for all these things.

In His power, you will begin to live a life that will draw others to Him as well.

UN Experts: N Korea Sending Chemical Weapons Materials To Syria

North Korea sent chemical weapons materials to Syria, UN experts say

North Korea recently delivered 50 tons of materials to Syria for use in building what appears to be a chemical weapons facility, according to a U.N. report, flouting sanctions and likely generating a windfall for the isolated rogue nation.
Pyongyang reportedly orchestrated several shipments to Syria in late 2016 and early 2017 that contained stainless-steel pipes, acid-resistent tiles, and valves.
The report heightened fears that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is both enriching North Korea and redoubling his efforts to produce chemical weapons.
The U.S. recently warned that it may again use military force if Syria continues using banned weapons.
U.N. experts say North Korea also sent missile technicians and transferred banned ballistic missiles systems to Myanmar.
The panel of experts monitoring sanctions against North Korea said its investigations into Pyongyang's transfer of prohibited ballistic missile, conventional arms and dual use goods found more than 40 previously unreported shipments to Syria between 2012 and 2017.
The Associated Press reported on Feb. 2 that according to the experts, North Korea was violating U.N. sanctions on oil and gas, engaging in prohibited ballistic missile cooperation with Syria and Myanmar, and illegally exporting commodities that brought in nearly $200 million in nine months last year.

Wars Fought In Space: 'In A Matter Of Years'

USAF General Warns Of Space War "In A Matter Of Years"

It is only “a matter of years” before the US fights “from space,” the United States Air Force’s top brass warned. USAF General David Goldfein’s speech on Friday expressed the starkest prediction yet — more endless wars and a battlefield that could very well be in outer space.

In a keynote speech, Goldfein made the comments on February 23 at the Air Force Association’s 34th annual Air Warfare Symposium and Technology Exposition in Orlando, Florida.

“[It’s] time for us as a service, regardless of specialty badge, to embrace space superiority with the same passion and sense of ownership as we apply to air superiority today,” he stated.

SpaceNews said Goldfein warned the audience it is not a question of if, but when, the war in outer space begins.

“I believe we’re going to be fighting from space in a matter of years,” he said. “And we are the service that must lead joint war fighting in this new contested domain. This is what the nation demands.”

ICYMI @GenDaveGoldfein at #AWS18 “mutually beneficial partnerships are crucial to our strategy...no greater confidence-building measure than sharing the critical & timely information w/ our allies & partners needed for success on the battlefield” **WATCH** https://t.co/MJqLtRmLIC

SpaceNews further said, Goldfein has been an alarmist in past speeches about an imminent space war. However, the online publication that covers news in space and satellite industry considers his latest speech “more emphatic and stark about the role of the Air Force in space warfare.”

Goldfein’s broader message is that the Air Force has to prepare for decades of hybrid wars across air, space, and cyber domains. He added the Air Force is behind the curve when it comes preparedness in fighting cyber and space domains.

Goldfein embraces the idea, America’s endless wars will be fought on a multi-domain basis. “I look forward to discussing how we can leverage new technology and new ways of networking multi-domain sensors and resilient communications to bring more lethality to the fight,” he said.
According to Spacenews, the Air Force is looking to spend some $44.3 billion in space systems over the next five years:

While America’s military-industrial complex is conditioning Washington for endless wars, and multiple domain battlefields that could very likely be in outer space. David Stockman rails against the out of control US military spending and says the combined “warfare state” and “welfare state” spending threatens “to kill the financial outlook of this country.”
