Statement From The Lavoy Finicum Family

Prophecy Update takes an interest in this story because it reveals how far down the road to tyranny this nation is, in what was once the land of the free. If the U.S. has fallen this far, then it is symbolic of how far the world has fallen. Lets remember, these people were protesting the federal and unconstitutional land grab in the west, and were only asking for a fair hearing and that news relating to this topic would be publicized. Ultimately they were defending the constitution. Let that sink in.

As someone else asked ( I wish I could remember where I read this quote) - if you were watching this scenario play out - and you saw a group of FBI agents gathered on one end of the property and Lavoy Finicum and the others gathered nearby - which group would you feel safer approaching? Perhaps that says it all.

Below we first hear from the Finicum family and then we see the video clip of Mr. Finicum's death while described in detail. It is haunting and very unsettling. One has to ask the question "Is this shooting and death the only way this situation could have been resolved?

You decide. Another question which must be asked, is - why were they stopped on the road anyway, particularly in a remote area? Mr Finicum had been coming and going from the disputed land for some time - an arrest could have easily been made over the past weeks and done so in a peaceful manner, but for some reason that wasn't done. Why not?

Perhaps the saddest and most disheartening aspect of this entire incident, excluding this tragic and unsettling death, is the comment section of many news articles which relate to this story - where some people seem gleeful at this death and seem to be enjoying the fact that an American citizen was gunned down in a violent manner. Perhaps that is just another sign of this age, but it seems to confirm the idea that things will continue to worsen as we approach the Tribulation. It also recalls these passages:

"At that time many people will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other...Because of the increase in wickedness, the love of most will grow cold..."
(Matthew 24:3,5)

"But mark  this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be...abusive...unholy...without love...unforgiving...brutal...not lovers of the good..."
(2 Timothy 3: 1-5)

Syria's Base Wars

The following is another very insightful article from New Eastern Outlook, as pertaining to recent events in Syria including Russia's success and America's failures:

Since 2011, Syria has fought desperately to hold itself together as a single, unified nation. Threatened from the beginning by the “Libya precedent,” Washington and its regional allies have openly conspired to divide up Syria as a consolatory objective upon failing to topple Damascus outright.

US policymakers, some of whom had previously played a role in laying out invasion and occupation plans for Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, have published numerous op-eds and entire policy papers regarding the planned partition of Syria.

It was hoped that the Syrian government could be pushed from Damascus and sent fleeing to Syria’s western provinces of Latakia and Tartus. From there, the US hoped to create a Saudi-Qatari-Turkish dominated central state with a Kurdish territory linked up with US-backed Kurds in northern Iraq. Forever divided against itself, Syria would never again function as a powerful ally of nearby Iran, Lebanon’s Hezbollah or Russia and distant China.

Russia’s intervention in Syria has all but prevented Damascus from falling. And while the Western media has attempted to claim the intervention has made little difference, so successful has it actually been that attempts by Turkey to establish its long-sought after “safe zone” in northern Syria have also all but evaporated.

Syrian troops backed by Russian airpower have moved from Latakia along Syria’s border with Turkey toward the now much reported-on A’zaz-Jarabulus corridor while another force pushes north from eastern Aleppo toward the Turkish border. Elsewhere, Syrian forces are securing Damascus, pushing Western-backed militants over their southernmost border with Jordan and pushing east toward Raqqa itself.

What is left?

What has been left for the US and its regional allies is a possible attempt to invade and occupy Syria’s northeast. The US has already been allegedly carrying out ground operations in this region supposedly in support of “Kurdish” and “Arab” forces that make up what it calls the “Syrian Democratic Forces.”

The U.K.-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported Friday that Russian experts had “arrived to explore” the Qamishli airport’s “readiness and to check what is needed to develop and use it” near the Turkish border. The report added that Russian warplanes were expected to use the airport in the “coming days and weeks.” Qamishli is located south of the Turkish border town of Nusaybin.

The US has even allegedly begun constructing, or rather restoring, an airstrip within Syrian territory. The BBC in its report Syria conflict: ‘US expanding air strip’ in Kurdish north claimed:

Satellite imagery appearing to show the US expanding a formerly disused air strip in Kurdish-controlled northern Syria has been seen by the BBC.
The images, from the security analysts Stratfor, show a runway near the town of Rmeilan being extended from 700m (half a mile) to 1.3km.
That would make it more suitable for a larger aircraft such as a Hercules.
A spokesman for the US Department of Defence said its small team in Syria needed “occasional logistical support”.

The US inviting itself into sovereign Syrian territory and creating a military base to supply its ground forces operating there without UN Security Council approval or invitation by the Syrian government sets a dangerous and unacceptable precedent. But assuming the United States has no interest in actually upholding the very international law it attempts to justify its numerous extraterritorial adventures with, what options does Syria have to head off what is a well-documented conspiracy to strip it of its own sovereign territory and expand from there toward Damascus itself?

The answer can be found in Qamishli, Syria, teetering near the Syrian border with Turkey and only 50 miles west of the US’ alleged airstrip in Rmeilan. Qamishli is the site of what is alleged to be a growing Russian presence, including a burgeoning airbase.

The International Business Times reported in their article US Forces Setting Up Base In Northern Syria Near Russian Forces In Qamishli Airfield: Report that:

…Russian experts had “arrived to explore” the Qamishli airport’s “readiness and to check what is needed to develop and use it” near the Turkish border. The report added that Russian warplanes were expected to use the airport in the “coming days and weeks.” Qamishli is located south of the Turkish border town of Nusaybin.

It would be the check to America’s latest, and perhaps final move in an overarching game the West has been sorely losing in Syria.

Check or Checkmate?

Russian forces, if they are indeed setting up in Qamishli, will establish a permanent bastion in Syria’s northeast. When inevitably Syrian forces cut off terrorists from their foreign supply routes and reestablish control over Syria’s largest cities back west, they will be able to reenter the northeast of their nation in force with Russian backing up to and including onto the doorstep of any illegal US occupation. There would be little the US could do to stop this, and no strategic or tactical means of “holding” territory already under the control of Syrian-Russian forces.

The US in this scenario is reduced to a trespasser coming up to an occupied house, unable to do anything else but leer through the window. While the US would surely be trampling the flowerbed outside the home, it would be unable to access anything of value within it.

Syria and Russia are displacing US ambitions to occupy Syria with physical forces that once in place will be difficult to remove. The US will come to the bargaining table with its “Syrian Democratic Forces” operating at the fringe of Syrian territory, with a Russian airbase standing between it and Syria’s interior. Meanwhile, the lion’s share of military victories against both Al Qaeda forces masquerading as the West’s “moderate fighters” and the “Islamic State” (IS) itself goes to Russia and Syria, not the US.

It is becoming increasingly difficult for the US and its allies to explain just what they are actually even doing in Syria besides perpetuating the war for as long as possible. It is clear that the only progress being made in Syria against the forces of extremism is being made by the long-chastised Syrian government and their Russian, Iranian, and Lebanese allies. It is also clear that remaining hurdles preventing the final restoration of peace and order in Syria is the US and its regional allies who insist on propping up armed groups opposed to the Syrian government, and direct threats and undermining by the US itself aimed at Damascus.

It should be abundantly clear that the US has lost the political war, the proxy war and now possibly checked in the “base war” as well. How much more the US wants to lose before withdrawing from yet another quagmire of its own creation depends on how much credibility the US believes it can still afford to lose as it pursues hegemony openly in front of an increasingly aware global public that has begun effectively fighting back.

Beijing Plans Aircraft Carrier Patrols In Disputed South Seas, Merkel Sinks In Polls, 'Something Big Is Going On'

Beijing Plans Aircraft Carrier Patrols in Disputed South China Sea

The Chinese Navy will likely deploy an aircraft carrier for permanent operations in the South China Sea, where China and other countries in the region are feuding over competing territorial claims, an expert said.

Professor Chu Shulong, the director of the Institute of International Strategic and Development Studies at Tsinghua University in Beijing, told IHS Jane’s that the deployment will likely occur when the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy's second aircraft carrier is fully operational.

"For the Northern Sea, Yellow Sea, and Eastern Sea, China does not need an aircraft carrier. Chinese land-based [aircraft] are capable of reaching places like the Diaoyu Islands," Chu said, in reference to the territories also claimed by Japan and known in Tokyo as the Senkaku Islands.
However, the same cannot be said of China's territories in the South China Sea, the professor told IHS Jane's on Thursday.
"Should the Americans send their [aircraft] and ships into the South China Sea, China currently does not have the [aerial] capacity to deal with such a challenge," Chu said.
He added that it will take about an hour for Chinese fighter aircraft from the nearest airbase on Hainan Island to reach the southern regions of the South China Sea.
"These challenges [from the United States] will most likely take place very frequently in the future," Chu said.

The US Navy's freedom of navigation operations, notably the sailing of a warship past a Chinese-built island in October, has convinced Chinese military leaders that the deployment of an aircraft carrier in the South China Sea is necessary going forward, he added.

The head of US Pacific Command, Admiral Harry Harris, on Wednesday said the US Navy will continueto conduct freedom of navigation operations in the South China Sea as a challenge to China's territorial claims in the region.

A new poll shows rapidly declining support for Germany Chancellor Angela Merkel, among Germans.
The Insa survey for Focus magazine polled more than 2,000 people last week and found 40 percent are not satisfied with her job performance, and want her to step down. But, 45.2 percent of Germans said her refugee policy shouldn’t cause her to leave her job.
Another poll released Friday by the Elector Research Group showed support for Merkel’s Christian Democrat party was at 37 percent, down from 42 percent from September.
More than 1.1 million migrants have been welcomed into Germany in the last year, which has caused an uproar.   Thousands of people hit the streets to protest recent crimes committed by gangs of refugees. On New Year’s Eve, there were more than 1200 reports of rape and mass sexual harassment in Cologne, Berlin and Frankfurt. Police were accused of a cover up.

Washington And EU To Israel: Make The Land Safe For Terror

Washington and EU to Israel: Make the Land Safe for Terror

Among ISIS’s exploits, satellite photos now show, was the destruction in 2014 of St. Elijah, Iraq’s oldest Christian monastery.

The Guardian reports that it was 1,400 years old and had “26 distinctive rooms including a sanctuary and chapel.” The photos reveal that its “walls have been literally pulverized.”
“St. Elijah’s,” The Guardian notes, “joins a growing list of more than 100 religious and historic sites looted and destroyed [by ISIS], including mosques, tombs, shrines and churches. Ancient monuments in the cities of Nineveh, Palmyra and Hatra lie in ruins. Museums and libraries have been pillaged, books burned, artwork crushed or trafficked.”
Second only to the terror group’s horrific crimes against living human beings are these erasures of treasures of history and faith, evoking universal shock and outrage.

There is one part of the Middle East, though, where a people’s attachment to treasures of history and faith does not seem to count. When it comes to the West Bank (or Judea and Samaria) and the Golan Heights, the U.S. administration and the European Union have been upping the pressure on Israel to regard these areas—rich in biblical and historical sites—as something it has no rights to at all.

The EU had already announced in November that it would be labeling Israeli products from these areas as “made in settlements” instead of “made in Israel.” Israel and supporters have objected that, out of 200 territorial disputes in the world, this is the only one for which the EU resorts to labeling, evoking anti-Semitic practices. It falls on deaf ears.

Instead the EU has now further sharpened the divide between Israel and the territories, issuing a statement that “all agreements between…Israel and the EU must unequivocally and explicitly indicate their inapplicability to the territories occupied by Israel in 1967.”
You wouldn’t guess from such language that Israel “occupied” these territories in a defensive war, that they’re of unique strategic and religious-historical value to Israel, or that Israel has nevertheless been willing to cede parts—not all—of them for credible peace arrangements, with Arab parties rejecting all offers hands-down.

The Obama administration, for its part, is a close ally of the EU in considering the West Bank in particular “Palestinian land” where Jews are at best usurpers with no legitimate claim.

State Department spokesman John Kirby has defended the EU's labeling of Israeli products and stated: “Our long-standing position on settlements is clear. We view Israeli settlement activity as illegitimate and counterproductive to the cause of peace. We remain deeply concerned about Israel’s current policy on settlements including construction, planning, and retroactive legalizations.”

Here in Israel, it looks bad to us. All documents that were supposed to regulate Arab-Israeli peacemaking, from UN Security Council Resolution 242 (1967) to the Oslo agreements, assume that there is something to negotiate over—that is, lands in dispute, with neither side having a sole legitimate claim.

Israelis have been building in the West Bank and so have Palestinians. While Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu opens the door wide for negotiations, the Palestinians, instead of entering, subject Israelis to murderous attacks.

We’re now told in effect, though, by our putative masters in Washington and Brussels that those documents recognizing an Israeli claim to the territories—negotiated and ratified under U.S. and European auspices—are basically null and void, and the lands belong to one side only.

We’ve been trying to point out that, especially with the Middle East in violent turmoil, handing the territories over lock, stock, and barrel to Arab parties would not be a formula for peace or serve Western interests. We note that we tried it in Gaza—and an Islamist terror organization, Hamas, took over.

In the West Bank, Hamas or an even more extreme organization—like ISIS, which is steadily encroaching on Israel—would take over if Israel wasn’t there. Along with being a security disaster, that would mean much of the Western patrimony falling into very hostile hands.

To the blind-as-bats officials in Washington and Brussels, though, it doesn’t seem to matter.

New World Paradigm: Russia, Iran And China, Digital Currency: The Key Tool Of 21st Century Nanny State Tyranny

New World Paradigm: Russia, Iran and China Make a Strong Team

Cooperation between Russia, Iran and China might signal a formation of a new world paradigm, able to re-define the global situation in the world both politically and strategically; the recent developments in the relations between the three might be more significant than many realize, according to an American investigative journalist.

The recent developments between Russia, Iran and China, right after the easing of the anti-Iranian sanctions, might be more important and significant than people actually realize, American investigative journalist Carol Gould, currently based in the UK, said during a live broadcast on Iranian news channel Press TV.

The journalist was referring to the recent two-day visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Tehran and the outcome of his trip.

Xi Jinping was the first international leader to head to Iran after the trade restrictions were removed and capped his visit with 17 agreements for cooperation in areas including energy, trade, and industry.
The two countries also agreed to increase bilateral trade more than 10-fold to $600 billion in the next decade.

In addition, Xi Jinping signed a joint statement with President Hassan Rouhani in support of Iran's application for full membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), advocated by both Russia and China.

Russia is also boosting ties with Iran after an international nuclear accord was reached. The two countries have signed an agreement on the easing of travel procedures between the two starting from February.

Carol Gould noted that this strategic alignment is based on trade, not on military might, and it definitely signals a way forward to a new alliance.
Also, she stressed, it might be very beneficial to China.

There has been talk of doing away with paper currency for several decades, but up until now that has mostly been idle conjecture and mostly bluster. Gradually, however, the building blocks of such a system have indeed been developed. These enabling technologies include:

  • Credit cards
  • Debit cards
  • Postal meters
  • Credit and debit card enabled pay phones
  • Credit and debit card enabled vending machines
  • Credit and debit card enabled “pay before you exit” parking garage kiosks
  • Grocery and warehouse store “member” cards
  • Automated bank account and wage garnishment by the IRS
  • Automated child support and alimony payments
  • Transnational debit cards with a Maestro logo (such as EC and Switch cards)
  • EBT cards
  • Widespread use of cellular smartphones
  • Widespread use of tablet and laptop computers
  • Direct deposit of payroll checks and Social Security payments
  • “E-Stamp” electronic postage stamp equivalents
  • Electronic banking
  • “Self checkout” terminals at stores
  • Point of purchase (POP) credit/debit card terminals
  • Credit/debit card enabled gas pumps
  • The new chip-equipped “smart” credit cards
  • The “Square” and PayPal “Here” credit/debit card readers

Perhaps the most crucial, yet underappreciated, one of these technologies was the advent of the very compact Square card reader in 2010. The Square magnetic strip card reader is a tiny attachment weighing less than two ounces that plugs into a cell phone. When used with its SquareUp cross-platform app, this device allows anyone with a functioning cell phone signal the ability to process credit card and debit card transactions. The Square reader is now a mature technology that is being mass produced and sold for less than $9.

The other key enabler was the advent of the EBT card, which replaced U.S. food stamps. The EBT card put the Federal government in the debit card-issuing business. Thus, all of the infrastructure is already in place to have a government-issued “Cash Card”. (It would be very quick and easy to start issuing a combination cash and EBT card, which might be marked “Federal Reserve Cash Card” or something similar.

A cashless society is a Collectivist/Statist Tyrant’s dream come true. It seems like something inspired by George Orwell’s novel 1984

Think of it: Fully documented accounting and taxation on every transaction, large or small, leaving little or no opportunity to conduct free, private enterprise on the gray market or so-called black market. There would be Total Information Awareness of every citizen’s spending habits and Total Information Awareness of every citizen’s travel and business relationships! What better tool for imposing a statist tyranny than having the ability to instantly target individuals, groups of individuals, or even entire demographic groups?

Picture this: If you step out of line, then your account gets frozen, levied, or even zeroed in the blink of any eye. (If you think that the FAA’s horribly flawed “No Fly” list is bad, then just imagine a “No Buy” list for everything–even gasoline or groceries!) Have you ever seen the Aaron Eckhart movie titled Erased? Or the Will Smith movie Enemy Of The State? Those movies provide apropos analogies. The bottom line: Any dissent could be crushed, overnight.

Going “cashless” could give bankers, the police, debt collection companies, and/or tax agencies the ability to not only monitor but control and seize the liquid net worth of every private citizen, with no notice whatsoever. The incremental “fees” and taxes could be conducted at many levels simultaneously: local and state sales taxes, a future national sales tax, a future Value Added Tax (VAT), various “sin” taxes on alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, and firearms, et cetera. With a cashless currency, the revenue gathering possibilities are endless.

As we’ve documented on a number of occasions over the past three or so months, Germans have a newfound love for pepper spray.
In November, we noted that frightened Germans fearing a “foreign invasion” from the Mid-East, were rushing to stock up on what amounts to migrant-be-gone aerosol just in case a refugee should get any designs on trying to get too close.
"There is fear" explains Kai Prase, managing director of DEF-TEC Defense Technology GmbH in Frankfurt, one of the major producers of repellents. "For the past six to seven weeks we have been practically sold out."
Yes, “there is fear”, and that fear only grew after New Year’s Eve when dozens of women reported being sexually assaulted by “gangs” of drunken "Arabs" in Cologne, among other cities.
The New Year’s incidents triggered even more interest in deterrent technology and before you knew it, Germans were Googling “pepper spray” like there was no tomorrow:
"There has been an increase of at least 1,000 percent or more in Google search queries for gun permits since January," Felix Beilharz, a social media expert from Cologne told DW.

And that's not all.
Germans are also getting more interested in self defense courses. "Currently, those offering self-defense courses are also profiting from the concerns and fears of many German citizens. Many such courses are booked out for the next several weeks - that was not the case a year ago," DW says.
"Several social media entries tagged with #Koelnbhf (Cologne train station) were advertising “efficient martial arts training," RT adds.

A shocking video shows migrants attacking residents in Calais, France on their own private property as left-wingers encourage the violence.

The footage, shot this past weekend, shows a horde of migrants aggressively marching towards a residential street as two men stand outside the gate of their home.
Some journalists and pro-migrant protesters attempt to stop the assault, but it soon escalates as the “refugees” begin throwing tires, pieces of wood and other objects at the two men.
The two men retreat into the front yard of their property as more objects are thrown. One of the men is clearly enraged by the assault and gestures aggressively towards the migrants.
The other man then displays an airsoft rifle in defense of his property while more objects continue to be hurled.

As North Korea reportedly prepares to conduct another long-range missile test, a US senator tells Sputnik the test may be meant to show the United States that Pyongyang is capable of striking the American mainland.

On Wednesday, an unnamed Japanese government official told reporters that satellite imagery showed North Korea days away from testing a long-range ballistic missile. Japanese reconnaissance reportedly revealed preparations at a test site known as Tongchang-ri, in the country’s northwest.

If true, this would be North Korea’s first such test since 2012, and could result in fresh UN sanctions.

But financial deterrence will likely do little to prevent Pyongyang from pursuing ballistic missile technology, according to the politician. Speaking to Sputnik, US Senator Cory Gardner said the tests are an attempt to show that North Korea has the ability to launch a missile across the Pacific.

Washington is also concerned with future space launches. North Korea’s 2012 launch was used to place an object into Earth orbit, and the US is worried that similar projects could be carried out in the coming weeks.

"Our concern though is that they do a space-launch but really it’s the same technology to develop ICBMs [intercontinental ballistic missiles]," said a US official speaking on condition of anonymity.
