Then off they’d go to the bridegroom’s father’s house for the bridal night and banquet. They’d enter the bridal chamber, and when the marriage was consummated, the friend of the bridegroom announced it. John 3:29 says, “He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice.”
The bride and groom emerged from the bridal chamber seven days later as husband and wife. The banquet gave time for rejoicing that the bride and groom were now one, before they set off for their own place.
Our Jewish bridegroom, Yeshua, enacted this same tradition for us: He came from His Father’s house (Heaven), brought the contract (the New Testament), presented the wine (blood), and paid the “bride price” for us (His life, the highest price ever paid for a bride). He has gone to prepare a place and will come back for us (John 14:3).
We are sanctified, set apart by the veil of Believers. He will call us up with a shout and trumpet (Rapture) and after seven days/years we will have the marriage supper with our Lord. We will live with Him forever. The ultimate love story."Mrs. Cnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3432851080052468710.post-36801415080748136022011-10-02T14:01:52.691-04:002011-10-02T14:01:52.691-04:00"I love a good love story. And what better lo..."I love a good love story. And what better love story than that of Yeshua, our Jewish bridegroom and us, His chosen. Remember, Yeshua is Jewish, so it makes sense that His proposal to us would follow the custom of his day—the centuries-old tradition practiced by Jewish couples all over the world. Typically, the two people involved were in their teens. Shorter life spans and the agrarian society meant when you were old enough to work, you did. Leisure time was rare. Zola used to say, “There were children and married people. We invented teenagers standing around with nothing to do.”
Zola would start this teaching, “When the young man saw the girl he wanted, or the girl his father said he wanted….” He always got a laugh from the audience.
Anyway, when the young man found his intended, he would go to her house, taking a contract, wine, and money. After knocking on her
door, he’d enter and display his gifts. The contract spelled out each marriage partner’s responsibility exactly. The wine sealed the
contract. When the young man put the cup of wine in front of the young woman, she had about 10 seconds to decide if she wanted to
spend the rest of her life with this man. To be fair, he was probably already known in the community. She even may have flirted with
him at the well or in the fields. But, arranged marriages were also common.
The money was the “bride price.” Sons were prized for fieldwork, but when it came time to marry, daughters benefited their parents.
The young man would present a large sum, usually his life savings. He wanted this girl. She would count the money, read the contract,
and either pick up the wine or leave the table. By picking up the wine, she said “yes” and the bridegroom would say, “I go to prepare
a place for you” (John 14:2-4).
The young woman would cover her face with a veil, symbolizing her consecration and her separation from the available young women.A
veil, not an engagement ring, told other men she was spoken for. Off the young man went to his father’s house to prepare a room for his
bride-to-be. It took about a year to prepare a room properly. Only the young man’s father could declare the room finished, lest the
anxious young man build a jiffy lean-to and rush back to get the girl.
The engagement period tested their resolve to be true to each other. They had no idea when the wedding would be. Yeshua says in
Mark 13:32, “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the son, but only the Father.”
While the bride waited, she gathered her trousseau and kept her oil lamp filled, ready in case her bridegroom came for her at night, which was often the case. Walking down the uneven stone streets of Israel at night is difficult without a light, even today. Matthew 25:1-13 speaks about being ready for the bridegroom’s arrival in the night. Not a night should pass when we don’t expect our bridegroom to appear."Mrs. Cnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3432851080052468710.post-35083267721040735302011-10-02T13:54:35.565-04:002011-10-02T13:54:35.565-04:00(Continued)

No worries Brothe...Welcome, Welcome Brother Dave,:)
No worries Brother, God has not forgotten His First Born, and never will! :)
Yes indeed, Israel will face much death and destruction to come. It is all His Purpose to bring His People back to Him. In Isaiah 17 for example He tells us why He allows His People to almost be completely destroyed in that multiple fronted war:
Isaiah 17:10
10.Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:
Isaiah 17 is the beginning of God fully turning His Attention back to His People. Quickly following will be Ezekiel 38-39, which will be His full Restoration of His Covenant with them. He returns to them, reveals Himself to them, POURS OUT HIS SPIRIT upon them, all in preparation for the Tribulation that some of them are about to enter. Keep in mind, not the entire population of Israel is Jewish. Also keep in mind, that even after all this, God Saving them from certain destruction in the Ezekiel war, some of His People will continue to not Believe. Remember, God deals with their disobedience, that is why they ended up walking the desert for forty years for example. Just as when He sent His Son, some Believed some didn’t. They will Witness His Miracle of Saving them from utter destruction, and some will Believe, some will not. Remember, God has a very special relationship with His People.
He is lonnngggg suffering, and does not want ANY to perish. Hence forth He will yet again provide for His People during the Tribulation.
There are the 144 thousand, sealed Jewish Believers that will be a powerful Witness for Jesus during the Trib. During the “Great Tribulation” (the second half of the Trib), God will protect and provide for the Jewish Believers fleeing from Israel.
Yes indeed Dave, there will be many Jewish people that will come to accept Jesus as their Savoir. That is happening today, as we speak. Forgive me, but if you already are aware of this, but there is an amazing Ministry called Zola Levitt Ministries. Zola was a Born Again Jewish Believer, and wow! could he ever teach! He went to be with the Lord 5 years ago, but his wife and Dr. Jeff Seif succeeded him. Amazing teachings, after all, Jesus still is Jewish, that never changed! Check out the video archives at there site, they are free, and their Ministry is honorable and trustworthy. :)

http://www.levitt.com/Mrs. Cnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3432851080052468710.post-84126476338539396252011-10-02T09:28:50.272-04:002011-10-02T09:28:50.272-04:00"I always think of God coming back at anytime..."I always think of God coming back at anytime and I wouldn't want my last thoughts or words to be promoting that of the evil one."

Sorry, :) Jesus' return sent by God. I for one appreciate not lifting him up but God-especially in these last days. I always think of God coming back at anytime and I wouldn't want my last thoughts or words to be promoting that of the evil one.

I am starting to learn a little more about you and forgive me for not having a little more of an open mind earlier in our talks. While I don't think your financial advice was wise by any means especially without you being a true and legal representative of finance tampering with ones livelihood; I am starting to see how you think a bit and am happy you are not flirting with disaster along these lines any longer.

Because you relate to money and the market trends, I can see by your last post you use that as a tool to gauge social moods. If we step back about 15-25 years or so you can see the social moods were rapidly declining in the public arena back then. The moods IMHO seem to change when technology really took off. Talk about greed. Could anyone truly go back to a pure mindset like those of the 50's or 60's? Think about the times when a husband was a sole provider. You only could get a loan if you could truly afford it and it was a blessing and a much appreciated gift to that household. The level of respect and dignity was there and family was the core of principles along with God. The kids were even different back then. They feared what their parents may do if they tried to push the envelope. We do not see any of those traits today; unless someone truly cares what God thinks and wants to focus on their family and all the scriptural ways of living. I think of the Book of Titus for these past times.

Today you can't drive without someone trying to push you aside. You can't get in line to get to check out without someone texting while working and looking at you like your bothering them. The amount of business' that practice deceptive methods all in the name of doing business that ruin people's lives started many years ago. I think about this housing, banking and mortgage crisis and that was fraud at its finest. So you can see these are just a quip of what I have seen and the social mood on wall street IMHO is just the icing on the cake. It all starts at home. That is where the heart of the matter is.

I look forward to meeting you, Dear Stephen. Thanks again for trying to do the right thing and minimizing those CAPS was great for me :)

God Bless!!

GGGGnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3432851080052468710.post-60918670147322014782011-10-02T05:30:32.284-04:002011-10-02T05:30:32.284-04:00BOTTOM LINE IS THIS >>>>

I still believe Rom 9-11 says all Israel will be saved in the end and God hasn't forgotten them. As exciting as prophecy is for us Christians, it isn't for the people of Israel. They face war and total destruction. This is a great Internet Christian sight and I enjoy going on line twice a day and viewing Scott's updates....from my safe wonderful country in my safe secure house here in Australia. I love Israel always have and always will because they belong to God but they need our prayers so they can know Jesus. I'll be honest I'm still not convinced about a pre-trib rapture but I want to believe and the sooner it comes the better for us Christians and for Israel so they can get past this mess and know Jesus. So guys love them, pray for them and their enemies so that if possible a few may be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth. If war comes first, (Psalm 83? , Is 17?) followed quickly by Ezekiel 38, perhaps the "parting of the land" won't come until the peace treaty is confirmed by the AC, or during the tribulation. It sure appeared like the parting of the land was going to be the next thing up. It may be God holding back His righteous anger by not allowing the land to be divided up at this point. Whenever the final carving up of Israel takes place, I do believe it will unleash His anger. After all, Joel 3:2 describes the Lord gathering all nations to the Valley of Jehoshaphat and entering into judgment with them because "they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land".Susannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3432851080052468710.post-12276783718768824742011-10-01T22:00:32.907-04:002011-10-01T22:00:32.907-04:00Yes indeed Brother Scott!

We know that Iran will be in a weakened state by the time they participate in the Ezekiel war. God lists Iran as a follower, not a leader or co-leader with Gog, but a follower.
The Judgments of God coming in Ezekiel 25-32 to the nations surrounding Israel could indeed be His "rebuking" of the nations that rush in at the end of Isaiah 17.
Ezekiel 25 – Jordan, Gaza
Ezekiel 26 – 28 Lebanon
Ezekiel 29 – 32 Egypt
As you once pointed out, we know that Iran is spread out with their military in Lebanon etc. Should vital military leaders be in Lebanon for example, this may explain their weakened state. A prayer that God will make good on His promise to protect Israel and to curse those who curse Israel.Scotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00403649419538752058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3432851080052468710.post-41877371791182359042011-10-01T21:33:53.644-04:002011-10-01T21:33:53.644-04:00Waterer - thats a good point about the nearness of...Waterer - thats a good point about the nearness of Iran etc - but don;t forget, Iran is ultimately behind most of what we are seeing in the Middle East today, and now that is beginning to include Egypt

They already control much of Syria. They have Lebanon via Hezbollah and they have Gaza via Hamas.

So I believe the 'inner circle' war is a proxy war for Iran.

They'll weaken Israel through that, first and then comes Gog-MaGog.

Just my humble opinion of course :)Scotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00403649419538752058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3432851080052468710.post-87236281704448051422011-10-01T21:25:06.769-04:002011-10-01T21:25:06.769-04:00Thanks Mrs. C.
I am reading the passages again.
...Thanks Mrs. C.

I am reading the passages again.
I find the Is passage the hardest to understand.
Partly because the "they " seems to change alot. They have left cities because of Israel and they become like waste places, weedy, abandoned.
I picture ( probably wrong, I'm not contesting anything)a scroched place , devasted when i think of

Hiroshima for instance. Not a old ruin covered with weeds..
It made me think that the They who have worshipped Ashtorah is Israel not the surrounding countries. That was Israels sin in ELijahs day. Today it seems like the Islamic countries are worshipping war.It sounds to me that the "theys" start out being Damascus but then when remnant is discussed that it switches to Israel and then back to Damascus again. I would be less than honest if I didn't say that this is not as clear to me as it is to you.
I agree that the Psalm 83 is a prayer but it sounds like a prelude to War with the phrase come let us destry them.
That is the clearest verse to me of what we see right now.
Thanks for caring to point out your understanding of God's Word.Waterernoreply@blogger.com
