The people are suffering. But these events that are happening are signs of the times. But here it is again:

Two things come to mind regarding this:

“And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” 2 Thessalonians 2:6—8.

&

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9.

We have such an incredibly patient God. As much as I want today to be the day we are caught up, I know that many people, including loved ones, are not ready. But I know that as Paul was bringing comfort to the Thessalonians that they were not to go through Daniel’s 70th Week, as the false teachers were saying, we can take the same comfort that our amazingly compassionate God is waiting for the full number of the Church to get saved.

I would have lost my patience so long ago, but thankfully God’s ways are not like our ways. Maybe today will be the day. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe not until we pass from this world naturally. Either way we can take comfort from our brother Paul’s words. But it’s so sad how the world, and especially Israel, is refusing the Messiah – the only One who could bring true peace. How heartbreaking. I’m just glad that we know, and that we are ready.

Who knows, maybe we’ll be meeting soon!

Sincerely,
Joe AgnelloJoe Agnellohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08992813451569892071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3432851080052468710.post-14305969338776432622010-09-17T11:52:26.875-04:002010-09-17T11:52:26.875-04:00Scott & Kem,

The Holy Spirit will be active on earth during the Tribulation because it is only through Him that we are able to pass from rebellion to surrendered saved believers in repentance & faith.

Because the full activity of the Holy Spirit will not be removed, the only removal that would make sense and also bring comfort to the Church, as Paul was trying to do, is that the unique ministry of the Holy Spirit through the Church will be removed. Just as our Lord said, "10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth." Revelation 3:10.

We can take the same comfort from the words of our brother Paul and our Lord Jesus Christ. As much as I am hoping everyday that this will be the day we are caught up, I know that so many people, including loved ones, are not ready.

However, today just might be the day. And if not, maybe tomorrow. Either way, it's horribly sad that the world doesn't care to know, but we know, and for that I am so glad.

By the looks of things though, we might be meeting soon!

Sincerely,
Joe AgnelloJoe Agnellohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08992813451569892071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3432851080052468710.post-14558071665583573942010-09-16T19:02:11.445-04:002010-09-16T19:02:11.445-04:00Joe - Nice to hear from ya again!!

I wonder just how much Israel can be expected to take and even more I wonder just how much longer God will be patient.

KemAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
