'Hezbollah prepared for invasion, only a matter of time,' researchers say

'Hezbollah prepared for invasion, only a matter of time,' researchers say

Hezbollah is not interested in a war it did not start after Hamas executed their plan to attack Israeli communities, the Alma Research and Education Center said in a reported published Wednesday but the Iran-backed terror group's intention to invade Israel is just a matter of time.

"The Radwan unit is fully trained and capable of launching an incursion into the Galilee at any given moment," researchers said. "Even if the majority of Hezbollah's elite forces have distanced themselves from the border, there is no change to Hezbollah's overall readiness."

Tal Beeri, head of the research department at "Alma," has been closely monitoring terrorist organizations in Lebanon for years and spearheaded the research for the position paper. He emphasizes that the crucial question within the Shiite terrorist organization is not whether to launch an attack on the Galilee with its forces but rather when to do so. According to Beeri's assessment, on October 7, Hezbollah was on the verge of deciding to execute its longstanding plan.

"In reality, on October 7, Hamas essentially 'borrowed' the infiltration plan of the Radwan unit and implemented it through its forces along the southern border with the Gaza Strip," the researchers noted in the position paper. They pointed out that Hamas embarked on this path independently of Hezbollah for reasons not yet clear. The brutal massacres and abductions they carried out essentially delayed the timing of the infiltration plan from the north. This is because Hezbollah is not keen on getting entangled with the Palestinians and becoming the "second fiddle" in a war not initiated by them.

Despite the delay, researchers at "Alma" are convinced that residents of the northern region are not adequately protected. The position paper notes that despite recent efforts by Israel to strengthen the northern border with more and more walls and surveillance measures, there are still sections along the border that have not been upgraded, potentially easing infiltration.

"The events of October 7 proved once again that any physical or technological barrier will inevitably be breached," states the position paper. "The mountainous terrain along the Lebanese border is more challenging for movement than the flat terrain along the Gaza border, but it allows for more discreet mobility. Hezbollah is well acquainted with the terrain and knows how to navigate it."

Given the widespread mobilization of IDF reserve forces deployed along the borders of Lebanon and Syria for the past eight weeks and the operational and intelligence vigilance of the military, "Alma" acknowledges that, for now, Hezbollah's element of surprise is compromised in its operational plan. However, the position paper emphasizes that "even today, at any given moment, if they choose to do so, Hezbollah can autonomously execute its infiltration plan into Israeli territory with a more limited force of the Radwan unit and a more focused area."

In response, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit stated, "The Northern Command operates tirelessly to defend
the residents of the northern region. IDF forces do not allow any approach to the border area, and
infrastructure renewals by Hezbollah were destroyed during the war. Additionally, any form of threat
will be promptly dealt with.

Arctic blast hits the U.S. Northeast from Ohio to New York with parts buried in more than 40 inches of snow

Arctic blast hits the U.S. Northeast from Ohio to New York with parts buried in more than 40 inches of snow; Traffic chaos and below freezing temperatures
Strange Sounds

Significant winter weather hit communities across the interior Northeast on Wednesday morning, causing at least one fatal road accident.

As expected, more than 40 inches of snow fell over the past two days over parts of the Great Lakes and interior Northeast in the first significant lake-effect snow event of the season.

The heaviest snowfall was recorded at Constableville, New York, where 42.7 inches landed.

All lake-effect snow warnings expired at 7 a.m. Wednesday. By the afternoon, the snow was winding down across the Great Lakes, with a few flurries or light snow showers trickling across lakes into northwest Pennsylvania and western New York. Heavy snowfall is not expected through the rest of Wednesday, but 1 or 2 inches of snow will still be possible.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo, New York, said that visibility would be sharply reduced during Wednesday morning’s peak travel period with 1 to 2 inches of snow expected per hour. Buffalo police said a winter weather advisory was in place from 4 a.m. and said “motorists should use caution.”

Photos shared by the weather service showed low visibility and nearly white-out conditions due to the snow and wind.

A forecast early Wednesday said the areas most affected would be south and southeast of Lake Erie, before the snow then shifts north.

Police in Killington, Vermont, said a bus crashed into another vehicle Tuesday afternoon, killing one of the drivers. Mark J. Candon, 71, from Rutland, was pronounced dead at the scene, a police statement said.

Frost- and freeze-related advisories are in place from the Florida Panhandle to south Georgia as temperatures may dip again Thursday morning to near or below the freezing mark, which could damage or kill sensitive crops, the weather service warned.

Now MASSACHUSETTS says it's being hit by wave of 'white lung' pneumonia in children as Ohio county issues similar warning - after China and Europe saw surge in cases and hospitalizations

Now MASSACHUSETTS says it's being hit by wave of 'white lung' pneumonia in children as Ohio county issues similar warning - after China and Europe saw surge in cases and hospitalizations

Doctors in parts of Massachusetts and Ohio are reporting a spike in child pneumonia cases similar to the outbreak spreading in China and parts of Europe.

In Warren County, just 30 miles outside Cincinnati, there have been 142 pediatric cases of the condition — dubbed 'white lung syndrome' — since August, a figure health officials there described as 'extremely high'.

'Not only is this above the county average, it also meets the Ohio Department of Health definition of an outbreak,' the county's health department said Wednesday.

Meanwhile, in western Massachusetts, physicians are seeing 'a whole lot' of walking pneumonia, a milder form of the lung condition, which is being caused by a mixture of bacterial and viral infections.

Neither outbreak is being caused by a novel pathogen and not all of the pneumonia cases are being caused by the same infection. Experts say a mixture of several seasonal bacterial and viral bugs are hitting at once, putting pressure on hospitals.

It has raised fears that the outbreak that has overwhelmed hospitals China could hit the US this winter. Several European countries are battling similar crises.

But a source at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) told DailyMail.com that, nationally, 'nothing is out of the ordinary' in the data.

Dr Amesh Adalja, an infectious disease expert from Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, told DailyMail.com: 'I would caution against extrapolating one Ohio county to a country of 330million people.'

But he would not be entirely surprised if 'some places in the US are above baseline' this year, as it appears several bacterial and viral infections are rebounding post-Covid.

An 'ongoing investigation' is underway in Ohio into what is triggering the wave of illness.

Patients in the county - which is home to around 200,000 people - have tested positive for mycoplasma pneumoniae, a bacterial lung infection for which some antibiotics are useless, adenovirus, a normally benign respiratory infections, and strep.

The average age of patients is eight, though some are as young as three.

There are several theories, one of which is that children's immunity has been weakened by lockdowns, mask-wearing and school closures during the pandemic — leaving them more vulnerable to seasonal illnesses.

Bacterial respiratory infections usually flare up every five years, normally as people are recovering from a wave of flu or other viral illnesses.

In Massachusetts, doctors say the main issue is RSV, a respiratory virus that kills more than 10,000 Americans each year, mostly young children and the elderly.

Unheard Realities Not Covered By MSM

Hamas Also Slaughters Muslims

The Hamas terrorists who attacked Israel on October 7 did not slaughter Jews alone. The terrorists also murdered and kidnapped scores of Muslim citizens of Israel, including members of the Bedouin community. The terrorists' murder spree made zero distinction between young and old, Muslim and Jew.

More than 1,200 Israelis were murdered in the massacre, while another 240 were kidnapped and taken to the Gaza Strip as hostages. Of these, scores of Arab Israelis were murdered, wounded or taken hostage. Among the kidnapped is Aisha al-Ziadna, a 16-year-old Muslim citizen of Israel.

The first wave of Hamas's attack hit a music festival at Kibbutz Re'im which had an estimated 3,500 young people in attendance.

The magnitude of the onslaught became apparent as bloodied and panicked people staggered into the medical tent screaming for help.

Finally, the medical staff was ordered to flee along with everyone else.

Awad Darawshe, 23, an Arab-Israeli paramedic, remained behind, refusing to abandon the wounded. "I speak Arabic. I think I can manage," Darawshe said, supposing that he could reason with the terrorists. Perhaps he thought they would not harm a fellow Muslim Arab. He was wrong.

Hamas mercilessly beat, humiliated, abducted, and murdered their fellow Muslims, including Darawshe as he was bandaging the wounded. After Darwashe was murdered by the Hamas terrorists, his ambulance was stolen and driven into the Gaza Strip.

Abed al-Rahman Alnasasrah, 50, was murdered by Hamas terrorists when he attempted to rescue people from the music festival. He was married and a father of six children.

Fatima Altallaqat, 35, from the Bedouin village of Ar'ara, was also murdered while working with her husband near the city of Ofakim in southern Israel. She was a mother of nine children, the eldest nine years old and the youngest six months. Her brother said that Hamas terrorists shot 40 bullets into Altallaqat.

Her husband, Hamid, recounted:

"We're a religious Muslim family and she wore the traditional headdress of a devout woman. It is inconceivable they [Hamas terrorists] could not see who was inside [the car]. They were five meters away from her as they passed. She said she could not feel her legs. Her head was opened and I could see her brain. I knew she was close to death."

Suleiman Zayadneh, brother and uncle, respectively, to four of the Arab-Israeli hostages, describes himself as proud to be a Palestinian and Muslim. He vehemently rejects what he views as Hamas's negation of both identities:

"What national pride? What religion? The people who came to shoot and kill — they know nothing of religion. These [Hamas] people came and killed left and right."

Lieutenant Colonel Wahid al-Huzeil, an IDF liaison with the Bedouin community, notes:

"The fact that Hamas abducted innocent civilians, including women and children, shows that this organization doesn't represent Islam... [which] opposes the murder of women, children and the elderly....this incident shows how much... their struggle isn't a religious one.... Israeli society must realize that its struggle isn't against Arabs, it's against Hamas."

Asked in early 2023 about their general quality of life in Israel, many Arab Israelis responded positively. A hijabed young woman replied:

"We live in a country that gives us many things, from the perspective of the laws, benefits, and everything else. It is the best. In comparison to other countries, it is really good. I study, I work, I enjoy life."

Now DENMARK battles surge in same type of 'white lung syndrome' pneumonia sparking fears in China - after Netherlands warned of alarming spike in cases

Denmark is currently being hit by a surge in the same type of pneumonia that has rocked China and sparked fears of a fresh pandemic.

Danish health chiefs say rates of mycoplasma pneumoniae, a bacterial infection for which some antibiotics are useless, has reached 'epidemic' levels.

Beijing has pointed to the same pathogen as being partly to blame for its 'mystery' wave of pneumonia — characterised by a dangerous inflammation of the lungs — in children.

In a chilling echo of the earliest days of Covid, face masks and social distancing are being recommended in the secretive nation. Hazmat suit-clad workers have been videoed spraying disinfectant through schools, hallways and outdoors.

Denmark's Statens Serum Institut (SSI) revealed rates have tripled over the past five weeks and warned more kids will be struck down this winter.

It comes just days after the Netherlands reported its own alarming spike in children battling pneumonia, with similar reports in Denmark's neighbour Sweden.

The spread of cases has raised fears that an European outbreak of the infection is spreading across the continent.

Mycoplasma pneumoniae normally causes a mild flu-like illness, sometimes called 'walking pneumonia'. Cases are most common in younger children.

Some antibiotics, such as penicillin, have no effect.

SSI senior researcher Hanne-Dorthe Emborg said the outbreak wasn't unusual and experts had been predicting one for some time in the wake of Covid.

Dr Van Kerkhove told the conference today: 'Yes, we are seeing an increase in respiratory infections around the world.

'We’re in autumn and entering winter months, so we are expecting to see rises in respiratory infections regardless.

'We are following up with China. They are seeing an increase due a number of different infections.

'In terms of acute respiratory infections, we are looking at the burden on healthcare systems and looking at the healthcare capacities of systems.'

The WHO made the unusual move to publicly call for China to be transparent about the outbreak, which many believe is due to its mishandling of Covid when it was accused of shielding critical information on the disease in the early stages.

It comes after Chinese Health Ministry spokesman Mi Feng urged people in the country to again consider wearing face masks and distancing.

'It is necessary to do a good job in epidemic prevention and control in key crowded places.

'[This includes] in schools, childcare institutions and nursing homes, and to reduce the flow of people and visits.'

Major pediatric hospitals are recording 7,000 admissions per day in some areas of Beijing, reports suggest.

The largest hospital in Tianjin — a province on the coast near Beijing — has allegedly been receiving more than 13,000 sick children through its doors daily.

There have also been reports of spikes in child illnesses in the province of Liaoning and in Shanghai — the country's biggest city.

Patients being admitted to hospitals are reportedly suffering from high fever and lung inflammation, but without a cough or pulmonary nodules — lumps on the lungs that are usually the result of a past infection.

Scans are also showing opaque or clear areas inside their lungs, which can be caused by bacterial infections, leading to some doctors calling the disease 'white lung syndrome'.

UN & Bill Gates Launch “50in5” Global Digital Infrastructure Plans

UN & Bill Gates Launch “50in5” Global Digital Infrastructure Plans

Last week the United Nations Development Program officially launched their new initiative promoting “Digital Public Infrastructure” (DPI) around the world.

The “50in5” program – so-called because it aims to introduce DPI in fifty countries in the next five years – began with a live-streamed event on November 8th.

For those of you unsure what “Digital Public Infrastructure” is, the 50in5 website is quite clear:

Digital public infrastructure (DPI) – which refers to a secure and interoperable network of components that include digital payments, ID, and data exchange systems.

There’s nothing new there, for anyone who has been paying even the slightest bit of attention. Digital identity and digital payment systems are self-explanatory (and we’ve covered them before). “Data Exchange Systems” essentially means national governments will share identity and financial records of citizens across borders with other nations, or indeed with global government agencies.

The key word is “interoperable”.

As we have written before, the “global government” won’t be one single health care system, identity database, or digital currency – but dozens of notionally separate systems all carefully designed to be fully “interoperable”.

As well as being a project of the UNDP, UNICEF, and the Inter-American Development Bank, the 50in5 is funded by various globalist NGOs and non-profits including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and (indirectly through an NGO called “Co-Develop”) the Rockefeller Foundation.

The eleven counties taking part in the program so far are Bangladesh, Brazil, Estonia, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Moldova, Norway, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Togo. A careful spread from every continent, including first, second, and third-world nations.

It is a list noteworthy for including NATO, EU, and BRICS members. Interesting implications on supposed “multipolarity” there.

In related news, on the exact same day the 50in5 program launched, the European Parliament and Council of Europe agreed on a new framework for a region-wide European Digital Identity (eID) system.

The revised regulation constitutes a clear paradigm shift for digital identity in Europe aiming to ensure universal access for people and businesses to secure and trustworthy electronic identification and authentication. Under the new law, member states will offer citizens and businesses digital wallets that will be able to link their national digital identities with proof of other personal attributes (e.g., driving licence, diplomas, bank account). Citizens will be able to prove their identity and share electronic documents from their digital wallets with a click of a button on their mobile phone.

This comes on the back of announcements that the European Central Bank is moving on to the “next phase” of its Digital Euro plans this month. The digital euro will – according to former IMF (and apparent numerology nut) Christine Lagarde – afford some “limited control” over people’s spending.

India, another BRICS nation, has been at the forefront of DPI development for years, and now articles are appearing in publications like Forbes, claiming “India Has A Digital Infrastructure, America Needs One”.

At the same time, China is making strides toward ending online anonymity, while Western politicians like Nikki Haley say we should be doing the same.

As the world focuses on Hamas and Israel, the global re-organization phase of the Great Reset is just quietly going about its business. Building a net and waiting to tighten it.

Terror Attack in Jerusalem Kills Three Israelis; Two Gunmen Reported to be Members of Hamas Killed After Shooting Israelis at a Bus Stop (Video)

Breaking: Terror Attack in Jerusalem Kills Three Israelis; Two Gunmen Reported to be Members of Hamas Killed After Shooting Israelis at a Bus Stop (Video)

A terror attack in Jerusalem Thursday morning killed at least three Israelis waiting at a bus stop and wounded eleven more. The two gunmen, reported to be Israeli Arabs, were in turn shot and killed by an off-duty soldier who had just returned from fighting Hamas in Gaza. The terrorists have been identified by the Israeli government as two brothers who were members of Hamas and had previously been jailed on terrorism charges. The attack came after an extension was announced of the ceasefire for hostages for another day by Israel and Hamas as the sides negotiated another round of hostage and prisoner swaps.

The victims were a 24-year-old woman killed at the scene and two who died at hospital, a 60-year-old woman and a 70-year-old man, reported YNetNews. There are reports an armed citizen and another off-duty soldier also engaged the terrorists.

The terrorists pulled up to the bus stop in a car and exited, then opened fire, one with an M-16 rifle and one with a handgun. After shooting at the Israelis at the bus stop for several seconds, the two terrorists tried to return to their car when they were confronted and killed by the off-duty Israeli soldier. Other Israelis can also be seen responding with the off-duty soldier then frantically identifying himself to avoid friendly fire.

Two videos have been released. The sound of gunfire can be heard in one video. In the other the attack can be seen from beginning to end.

The Israeli government posted video with the sounds of the attack, at least tow dozen shots can be heard:

Subsequently released surveillance video captured the attack as well as the neutralization of the terrorists:

A photo of the neutralized terrorists:

“According to the Shin Bet, the two Palestinian terrorists who carried out the shooting attack at the entrance to Jerusalem are Hamas members, previously jailed for terror activity. They are named as brothers Murad Namr, 38, and Ibrahim Namr, 30. Murad was jailed between 2010 and 2020 for planning terror attacks under directions of terror elements in the Gaza Strip. Ibrahim was jailed in 2014 for undisclosed terror activity.”

Three killed, 6 injured in Hamas-claimed terror shooting at Jerusalem bus stop

Emanuel Fabian

Three people were killed and six were wounded, two of them seriously, in a terror shooting attack, later claimed by Hamas, at the entrance to Jerusalem on Thursday morning, police and medics said.

The victims were named later as Livia Dickman, 24, Ashdod rabbinical judge Elimelech Wasserman, 73, and Hannah Ifergan, who was in her 60s.

According to police, at around 7:40 a.m. two Palestinian gunmen got out of a vehicle on Weizman Boulevard at the main entrance to the capital and opened fire at people at a bus stop.

Police said two off-duty soldiers and an armed civilian in the area returned fire, killing the two terrorists.

The terrorists were named as brothers Murad Nemer, 38, and Ibrahim Nemer, 30, from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sur Baher. According to the Shin Bet security agency, the pair were Hamas members and previously jailed for terror activity.

Murad was jailed between 2010 and 2020 for planning terror attacks under directions of terror elements in the Gaza Strip and Ibrahim was jailed in 2014 for undisclosed terror activity, the agency said.

On Thursday afternoon, Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack and hailed the perpetrators as “jihad-waging martyrs.”

The terror group said that the assault comes in response to Israel’s war against it in Gaza and the killing of two children in the West Bank’s Jenin on Wednesday. Adam Al-Ghoul (8) and Basel Abu Al-Wafa (15), as well as two senior terror commanders, were killed yesterday by Israeli forces in Jenin. Hamas claimed 15-year-old Al-Wafa as one of its members.

The terror group also called for an “escalation of resistance” and said that “the heroes of our people are mobilizing to avenge the blood of the martyrs.”

Rothschild Wants Merger Between Corporations, Governments And AI To “Save Capitalism”

Rothschild Wants Merger Between Corporations, Governments And AI To “Save Capitalism”

Brandon Smith

If you’re not familiar with a little organization called the “Council For Inclusive Capitalism,” don’t worry, most people have never heard of it. The group was formed at the height of the covid pandemic; as fear instilled by government officials and the media propagated the news feeds, the majority of the public was rather distracted. The CIC is essentially everything that conspiracy theorists have been warning about for years packaged into a single Orwellian entity, complete with dramatic piano music and a mask of humanitarian philanthropy.

The basic root function of the council is to centralize most or all major corporations (corporations with global influence) and join them with governments into a network that places ideology over profit motive. Some people might argue that corporations need to adopt a shared value system instead of simply roaming around like sharks devouring whatever they can sink their teeth into. But who gets to choose the set of values that corporate behemoths follow?

Mussolini once defined the meeting of corporate power with government power as the original design for fascism. The Council for Inclusive Capitalism is the living breathing expression of that authoritarian seed.

The group is headed by Lady Lynn de Rothschild of the notorious Rothschild dynasty, and has expanded to include an army of corporate partners, government partners, UN partners and even the Vatican. A key component to the globalist agenda that is mentioned frequently is Artificial Intelligence (AI), along with its supposed ability to upend everything in our society and economy forever.

While the abilities of AI are highly overrated, the elites seem to think it’s some kind of godlike apparatus that will remake the world. Lady Rothschild engaged with the media recently to promote an interesting and revealing argument:

Surprisingly, Rothschild meets some resistance from her interviewers which forces her to make an indirect admission: AI will require a “root and branch reform of the economy,” meaning, free markets have to go and government/corporate partners will have to step in to control everything, for the sake of the populace and the “greater good”, of course. Except it’s all a sham.

AI, much like climate change, is quickly becoming yet another fabricated excuse for global centralization. The CIC along with institutions like the WEF and the UN have been asserting for the past few years that “someone” needs to step in to moderate AI so that no single government abuses its apparently unlimited power. In other words: Problem, Reaction, Solution.

The globalists create a problem out of thin air (AI), then suggest it is a much greater boon (or threat) to humanity than it actually is, then they offer their services as fair and benevolent arbiters of the technology and its effects. Rothschild suggests it herself in the interview when she claims that “capitalists” will have to adjust their priorities over to social causes in the wake of AI. As I stated before, it’s just ESG in another form.

Inside The UN Plan To Control Speech Online

Inside The UN Plan To Control Speech Online

The UN plans to control speech online by imposing international laws through organizations like governments and corporations.

Proponents of free speech and prominent US legislators are alarmed by a United Nations agency’s proposal to control social media and internet communication while pursuing a tough stance against what it refers to as “false information” and “conspiracy theories.”

The U.N. Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organisation (UNESCO) detailed a number of “concrete measures which must be implemented by all stakeholders: governments, regulatory authorities, civil society, and the platforms themselves” in a 59-page report that was made public this month.

This strategy entails imposing international laws through organizations like governments and corporations, with the goal of preventing the spread of other kinds of expression while advancing goals like “gender equality” and “cultural diversity.”

The U.N. organization specifically targets “misinformation,” “disinformation,” “hate speech,” and “conspiracy theories” in an effort to establish an “Internet of Trust.”

Critics warn that powerful forces in government and Big Tech are increasingly using accusations of “disinformation” and “conspiracy theories” to stifle accurate information and even essential political discourse.

Has Neuroscience Found the Key to What Caused Zombie Nation?

Has Neuroscience Found the Key to What Caused Zombie Nation?

Please enjoy – to the extent you can – my Foreword to ‘The Indoctrinated Brain’, by Dr Michael Nehls. The book, which explains the neuroscience of propaganda, will chill your soul, but may explain a great deal.

‘The fact that the brain is plastic—modifiable—has become much better understood by the public in the past few decades.

General readers understand by now that the human brain can be altered; and that experiences can modify its reactions and processes. We understand now for example that PTSD leaves lasting changes in brain functioning. It’s been established that motherhood changes the brain and that bonding itself is a chemical process modified by the brain.

We also understand, as general readers, that propaganda is real. Some of us have studied propaganda in the past. We have a working knowledge of Joseph Goebbels, and of the artistry and craft that underlay his manufacturing of National Socialist consent. The work of Edward Bernays, one of the earliest practitioners of what became the field of public relations, has been widely read in English. Decades-old bestsellers such as Subliminal Seduction by Wilson Bryan Key exposed the fact that advertisers use every tool at their disposal to alter our reactions to their products—down to the level of the subconscious mind.

Modern general audiences also understand that governments use “messaging”—and often, heavy-handed propaganda—to lead us to take actions that can be against our interests or our better conscious judgments; to create prejudices and divisions that may not otherwise exist; to heighten fears and to trigger a sense of vulnerability in us, so that we can be better manipulated and guided to goals that are not our own.

But Dr. Michael Nehls’s thesis in this book is revolutionary because it brings together all of these fields of inquiry and proposes a set of questions so radical that they make the mysteries of the past three years fall into place. This is the indispensable book. In The Indoctrinated Brain, Dr. Nehls brings these areas of study together in a way that has never been done before. By applying neuroscience to the otherwise bizarre events of the recent past, he explains what has happened to humanity.

Many of us have noted that our loved ones and colleagues have changed. Post- mRNA injection rollout, we notice that people who were highly educated critical thinkers, have become unable to think outside of two simple binaries. We watch in astonishment as formerly sophisticated loved ones and friends regurgitate talking points with no self-awareness. We wonder why there is a sense of something inchoately missing when we sit with a vaccinated or COVID-fearful friend. We cannot fathom what has caused this sea change.

Dr. Nehls’s hypothesis can explain it. “The Indoctrinated Brain introduces a largely unknown, powerful neurobiological mechanism whose externally induced dysfunction underlies these catastrophic developments,” as the publisher notes.

Dr. Nehls argues that the spike protein, along with other COVID measures, represents an intentional attack on the human hippocampus—where autobiographical memory and individuality itself originate—and that “fear porn” keeps us from holding on to the autobiographical memories that encompass our former selves. As a result, humans have become deindividualized, more suggestible, more forgetful, more compliant, and less able to engage in critical thinking and creative reasoning. This argument utterly accords with what many of us are seeing, to our horror, every day. Dr. Nehls’s The Indoctrinated Brain is an indispensable book because it applies neuroscience to politics and especially to the politics of fascism. The need for that has existed for as long as modern fascism has existed.

Neuroscience should be applied to politics and to social change, but it is rare indeed when those fields of analysis meet. By bringing these fields of knowledge together and mapping neurological science against propaganda, and vice versa, Dr. Nehls brings vast new insights to the reader that would not have been attainable previously.

After you read The Indoctrinated Brain, you will think: Of course. Of course, the propaganda of the past few years must have been predicated upon intensive study of the brain and its reactions. Of course, the hundreds of millions of dollars that were recently spent and are currently being spent by the US and other governments on behavioral science and behavior modification would result in insights that would be applied by the US and other governments to making populations more tractable, less able to reason, less creative and more compliant.

Why else would they so heavily have invested in such studies? Of course, the constant messaging, especially about fear, over the past three years, would have an effect that is not just about public health or perhaps not at all about public health—but that it is rather about making humans in free societies more tractable—with public health as the excuse, the proxy, for this deployment of life-altering and consciousness-altering fear. It is not the fear porn about the specific scary thing that matters, Dr. Nehls persuasively argues here: the fear itself is deliverable. The fear itself changes and indeed damages the brain.

I’ve long been interested in the psychiatric effects and, as I guessed, intentionalities behind “lockdowns” and “pandemic” messaging. But I did not have the neuroscientific background to understand exactly what was being done to people via “lockdowns” and the “fear porn” of the pandemic years related to the virus—to other human beings.

Through my study of the psychiatric effects of torture and isolation, that I took on for a book about closing democracies, I realized that isolation causes profound and sometimes permanent changes in the brain. I knew intuitively in the post-9/11, “Global War on Terror” years, that constant fear would wear down faculties needed for critical thinking. And I applied those insights to the isolation and fear messaging of 2020–22. But I did not have the complete picture.
