Ground Forces Forming As Air Force Bombards Targets - Orders Citizens To Go To Bunkers

Israeli ground troops attack Gaza as air force bombards targets and officials order EVERYONE living within miles of the border to go to bunkers

  • The Israel Defense Force tweeted tonight: 'IDF air and ground troops are currently attacking in the Gaza Strip'
  • A military spokesman added that 'there are ground troops attacking in Gaza, together with air forces as well'
  • Benjamin Netanyahu said: 'The last word was not said and this operation will continue as long as necessary'
  • It is not clear if the offensive will be to destroy rocket sites or Hamas leaders or extended campaign to invade
  • Israel called up 9,000 reservists to bolster its forces as it deployed troops to the Gaza border for the assault

Israeli ground troops have attacked Gaza as its air force bombarded targets and officials ordered everyone living within miles of the border to go to bunkers amid fears of fierce retaliation from Hamas.

Fears of an all-out war escalated in the early hours of Friday morning as the military said just after midnight that air and ground forces were attacking the Hamas-run enclave. Rocket barrages from Gaza swiftly followed.

Its statement gave no further details but military affairs correspondents who are briefed by the armed forces said it was not a ground invasion, and that troops were firing artillery from Israel's side of the border, rather than there being boots on the ground.

Residents in northern Gaza, near the Israeli frontier, said they had seen no sign of Israeli ground forces inside the enclave but reported heavy artillery fire and dozens of air strikes.

There was confusion when the Israel Defense Force (IDF) tweeted from its official account on Thursday night: 'IDF air and ground troops are currently attacking in the Gaza Strip.'

This seemed to be reinforced by military spokesman Lt Col Jonathan Conricus, who said: 'There are ground troops attacking in Gaza, together with air forces as well.'

However, the IDF then clarified just two hours later that its troops had not entered the Gaza Strip as it had earlier stated, blaming an 'internal communication' problem for the confusion.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, meanwhile, posted: 'I said that we would charge a very heavy price from Hamas.

'We do it and we will continue to do it with great intensity. The last word was not said and this operation will continue as long as necessary.'

Hamas military spokesman Abu Obeida said the group was not afraid of a ground invasion, saying the move would be a chance 'to increase our catch' of dead or captive soldiers.

It is not yet clear if any offensive will be to destroy rocket sites or Hamas leaders or part of an extended campaign to invade Gaza.

Earlier Israel called up 9,000 reservists to bolster its forces as it deployed troops to the border in preparation for the ground assault.

  1. While there may not be a ground operation "yet", we know IDF has Spec Ops inside Gaza doing work nobody knows about. There's no way they're hitting targets like they are without them.

Please Lord, kick this off! I'm ready to go home!

  2. Sorry for the double comment, Scott, but I just saw this... Something to watch very closely right now.

  3. Audio - I'm wondering if people are really getting the significance of this --- if we see Lebanon (region holding Hezbollah) and Syria (name the terrorist group) - involved then we would basically have the Isaiah 17 coalition....If Isaiah 17 actually happens here, then that means Got-Magog is coming like a freight train, and I cannot see a scenario in which the Church is here for that...The rapidity of these developments is stunning and potentially highly significant prophetically.

  4. Thats exactly what I have been watching for, the developments from the north - now eyes are on syria...There is already a lot of talk about these missiles coming from Iran via Syria....That would be the next big development IMO and an escalation in the west bank area...I wouldn't be surprised to see both in the next few days

  5. Honestly, I don't think they are, Scott. I believe there is too much homefront watching right now rather than paying attention to the main "attraction" we were told to watch if you will... This Gaza fight is just a draw to get momentum going but it's the north side we need to watch. I believe if IDF mobilizes ground into Gaza, it will be way too enticing for Hezbollah to not join the fray.

Isaiah 17 is the main focus here because I truly believe that is the key to everything. That is the event that will send us home (I believe we'll be here to see it as the final warning telling us we're out of here) and officially get Ezekiel 38 and the tribulation going (and I'm with you here, there's no way the Church is here for this). Just a day ago Russia and Turkey were in talks on how to quell Israel... I mean, seriously? Anybody who watches prophecy should be eyes wide open by that.

I'm looking at this and I just don't know how it could fizzle out with how far into crunch time we are. I mean, I remember years ago when it was so close to full on war and it faded but these are different times. This has to keep escalating from here, right?

  6. Hamas's evil leaders dont live in Gaza, they live in specifically Damascus. Damascus is the home to many terrorist leaders. Mossad has targeted & killed some of these evil leaders in Damascus.Damascus has been a highly targeted area by Israel for years now. What we know is coming...
    Isaiah 17-
begins with the annihilation of Damascus
Israel will fight a multiple fronted war with NO HELP from ANYONE
Israel barely survives, and God Himself then makes Himself known stepping in-saving a "remnant" of His People
God looses, completes, His Judgements against the nations surrounding Israel-Ezekiel Chapters 25-32 Tyre Lebanon for example, will be underwater
At this point,Gods full attention is back to His People...we the His Church are outta here!
Israel is trying to recover, then swiftly faces the Ezekiel 38-39 invasion
Thats how close we are! :)

  8. Very good points Mrs C - And funny you would mention Tyre, I was thinking about that last night as a report of missiles coming from that area came in last night - how interesting to add that to the mix!...Also how interesting that we now have an "administration' that won't lift a finger to help Israel - My how things are falling into place!

  9. Exactly Scott! God REALLY pours out His Judgement on Trye, so badly that He says He will take them to the bottom of the oceans, never to be found again. This & other final fulfillment of Gods Judgements in Ezekiel Chapters 25-32,He will complete when He steps forward to save whats left of Israel at the end of Isaiah 17.
In these Judgements, Gaza is toast also. There will also be massive earthquakes from Him in the region during this event, leaving the topography of Israel, the region changed. This attributes to the temptation of Gog to invade...
Interestingly, amazingly, there actually is a shelve running under the waters off of Lebanon that drops off into the abyss! God Himself is going to destroy Tyre putting it into that abyss, never to be found again just as His Word says!

  10. Also its not just Tyre in Lebanon, but with the completing of His Judgements (Ezekiel Chpt 25-28) it will go up North on the coast of Lebanon. He will take out Sidon too! So basically, God is going to take out a HUGE amount of the Lebanon coast with a massive earthquake...

  11. Thats exactly right - I always think of Tyre and Sidon as being taken out at the same time as well...its absolutely amazing how this is all coming together...

  12. Isnt just amazing Brother!:o His Word, written thousands of years ago being fulfilled before our eyes! His Word is good & True! Our ancient Brothers & Sisters In Christ, longed for these Days we are in! 13. Yes indeed - another good point, one that I always try and remember - each of us was put here, in this time for a reason - and to witness these events occurring in real time is just amazing. It IS a privilege absolutely. And another good point about our ancient brothers and sisters and the prophets who aren't here to witness this....Soon we will hear that Trumpet call ... :)

  14. When we are witnessing all this, we will have the privilege of being the final Witnesses for Jesus for a short window of time before the Rapture! Powerful responsibility for us all! But He knows each one of us, chose us for this time in all of time, & has confidence in us all! :)

  16. Oh my...I also heard on the news earlier this morning, that the Pentagon has ordered US personnel out of the area. Also a retired Army General (one of the good guys), was on this morning saying this isnt like the normal skirmishes that happen. He said it was much more serious.
