Most of th...GG I am not confident of my own safety. Most of the disciples died horrible deaths. And people are martyrd everyday in the middle east. I know my life is not my own.
Yes, God can, will and does make a way where there is no way. And yes, he can hide us, translate us and embolden us.
My trust is in him. Where he takes me is his business.
I try and keep my eyes focused on him. It's when I lose sight of him that there are problems.
He has done so much for me that a book couldn't hold it all.
He is my rock, my fortress and my provider. Oh what an amazing provider!!!!!! My happiness over his provision can't be explained.
Yet I have chronic crushing anxiety. Somethings don't leave us easily. Some experiences scar us permanently. Yet, I am still here.
What I consider abundance would be someone else's lack. I lived in a car for several years. While working two jobs. But it sure beats a cardboard box under a bridge. But I'm betting the Christians in the middle east would be thrilled with a cardboard box under a bridge in America!!!
It's all about perspective. I've been shown things but I have only heard his voice once, audibly. I almost wrecked my car. He asked me a simple question. "Would you die for me?" This was in the 80s. My answer was ask for time to think about it. I didn't want to make a promise I couldn't keep.
He was not talking about dying to myself either. Of course I said yes. But it was a very solemn yes. And as a wimpy human I asked him to please make sure it didn't hurt. Lol. So maybe that's why this post was button pushing
Your posts daily are so uplifting!!!!! I'm thankful and grateful for them. :)
allyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12569123391490879176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3432851080052468710.post-6020761137607114842015-12-22T09:34:26.254-05:002015-12-22T09:34:26.254-05:00The Stone Rolled Away
Who shall roll us away the ...The Stone Rolled Away

Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? and when they looked, they saw that the stone was
rolled away. – Mark 16:3-4

We are all alike. Even these holy women on this most sacred errand went forward to borrow trouble. There was a
stone in the way that must be rolled aside, and they had not strength to do it. Naturally enough, they began to be
anxious as to the removal of this obstacle. When they came near they saw that the obstacle had been already
removed. The Divine love had been before hand in preparing the way for them. Angels had rolled the stone aside.
The lesson is very simple and beautiful. We go forward worrying about the difficulties that lie before us, wondering
how we can ever get through them, or who will remove them out of our way. Then when we come up to them we
find that they are gone. Some one has been there before us and has taken them away. God always opens the way
of duty for us if we quietly move on.

This applies to one beginning a Christian life. Many persons shrink from it. They say: “I never can be faithful. I never
can do the duties. I never can bear the burdens.” But as they enter and go on they find that an unseen and mighty
Helper goes on before and prepares the way. The hard tasks become easy, and the heavy burdens grow light. It is
so all through the Christian life. God’s commandment seems impossible of obedience. Walls of stone seem built
across the path we are required to walk over. But as we go on the commandment is easy, and a gateway is opened
in the wall. Love and faith always have an advance of angels to roll away stones. The practical lesson is, that we are
never to hesitate nor shrink back because obstacles seem to lie before us; we are to go right on, and God will take
them away for us. When He wants us to go anywhere He will open the path for our feet. Knowing this, we may go
on feeling confident of our own safety.GG2013https://www.blogger.com/profile/01180358618816519694noreply@blogger.com
