UN Chief Appeals For Calm In Jerusalem And West Bank, 'Unprecedented': Jerusalem's Old City Shut Down, ISIS Significantly Weakened

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Sunday warned of a dangerous escalation in Jerusalem and the West Bank following the recent spate of terror attacks and appealed for calm.

Ban strongly condemned the violence that left two Israeli men dead in the Old City Saturday, and which was followed by clashes overnight that left scores injured.

The two Israelis were killed by a Palestinian terrorist who also wounded one of the victim’s wife and baby in a knife and gun attack in the Old City.
“Recalling the recent deadly attack on another Israeli family in the occupied West Bank, and in light of the wave of extremism and violence sweeping the region, the secretary-general is deeply concerned that these latest incidents signal a dangerous slide toward escalation,” said a statement.

Ban said he was “deeply troubled” by statements from Palestinian terror groups, including Hamas praise for the attacks.
He “urges all leaders to condemn violence and incitement, maintain calm and to do everything they can to avoid further escalation.”
He “urges all leaders to condemn violence and incitement, maintain calm and to do everything they can to avoid further escalation.”
There have been fears that the sporadic violence could spin out of control, with some warning of the risk of a third Palestinian intifada, or uprising.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday evening wrapped up a four-hour security meeting on the recent uptick in violence in Jerusalem and the West Bank and ordered new security measures be implementedin light of the terror upsurge.

Israeli warplanes have launched airstrikes on targets in Gaza overnight in retaliation to rocket fire which struck Israeli territory earlier in the day.
At least three explosions in the Gaza strip were reported on social media by witnesses, who saw Israeli F-16 jets and drones circling the airspace.

The strikes apparently targeted sites of the Palestinian Hamas organization’s military wing, the al-Qassam Brigades. Reports suggested that the Abu Jarad training site and Bader camp in the central Gaza Strip were hit.

On Sunday evening two rockets were fired from Gaza towards Israel, with one exploding on the Gazan side of the border. The second rocket exploded in an open area of the Eshkol Regional Council, causing no injuries or damages, local media reported. Both rockets were fired shortly after 11:00pm local time.

More than 3,500 police officers are participating in a massive, nearly unprecedented security operation to bar Arab non-residents of Jerusalem’s Old City from entering the ancient walled city for the next 48 hours, Israel Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld confirmed in a radio interview Sunday.

“We’re dealing at the moment with a wave of terror, I would call it. We’re being very careful with ongoing security assessments,” Rosenfeld said on “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio,” speaking live from the streets of Jerusalem’s Old City.

Following a series of Palestinian terrorist attacks in and near the Old City in the last 24 hours, the Israeli government took the highly unusual step of only permitting entry into the Old City to “Israeli citizens, Old City residents, tourists, Old City business owners and pupils learning there,” according to a Jerusalem police statement.

The measure is being described in Israeli media as “unprecedented.”
Rosenfeld confirmed the Old City is entirely closed to all Arab residents of Israel who live outside the city.
The move comes as thousands of Jews are entering the Old City to pray at the Western Wall during the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah, a day at the end of the Feast of Tabernacles celebrating the giving of the Torah.

Rosenfeld said that earlier Sunday 12 potential suspects were removed from Temple Mount area, with police fearing the Arabs were planning to target Jews in the area.

Also earlier on Sunday, in the second such incident in 24 hours, a terrorist stabbed a 15-year-old outside of a gas station near the Old City in Jerusalem, moderately wounding the teenager. The attacker fled the scene and was shot and killed by police while stalking a main thoroughfare with a large knife.

On Saturday, a horrific scene unfolded at the entrance to Jerusalem’s walled Old City, where a Palestinian terrorist murdered two Israeli males and injured a 22-year-old woman, along with her two-year-old baby.

The Palestinian terror group Islamic Jihad threatened a return to the use of suicide bombers in attacks against Israelis — attacks that devastatingly typified the Second Intifada in 2000-

In a video newly published on Palestinian social media, entitled “Letter #1,” a supposed Islamic Jihad member can be seen preparing for a suicide attack inside Israel dressed as an Israeli soldier, as a montage of recent images of violence on the Temple Mount, across Jerusalem, and in the West Bank flash onscreen.

Footage of the making of an explosive belt — which suicide bombers used during the Second Intifada — can also be seen in the video.

The would-be terrorist can then be seen in the frame smiling while filming his “shaheed [martyr] video” (usually released after a given attack showing the bomber delivering his last message before embarking on the mass killings). Then he is shown dressed in IDF uniform walking up to a bus stop where other “soldiers” are waiting. A bus pulls up and the screen fades to black.

The terror group on Saturday claimed that the Palestinian terrorist Muhannad Halabi, who killed two Israeli men in the Old City and seriously injured a woman and her baby in a stabbing attack, was a member of its organization.
“Halabi, 19, is a member of Islamic Jihad,” a member of the terror group told AFP, after the group issued a statement hailing the attack and saying it was in response to Israeli “terrorist crimes” against Palestinians.
Hamas meanwhile praised the attack as “a heroic act of resistance.”

Western and more recently Russian airstrikes, chaotic leadership and mass defections have weakened the jihadi group to such an extent that it would be unable to repel even a small invasion force.
A terror analyst told Express.co.uk that the fanatics have vastly exaggerated their military strength and called on Western leaders to launch a co-ordinated fightback which would obliterate the hate group.
Dr Afzal Ashraf said ISIS has become its own worst enemy with its campaign of terror against the West, which has prompted an international backlash.
He said: "This mythical state will disappear in a matter of hours once the international community decides to act.
"It won't take very long at all to drive them, if not out of all of Iraq or Syria, then certainly the majority of their territories.
"They will hide in towns, but I would say do not to follow them as they would use innocent civilians as human shields.
"Leave them in these isolated settlements and they will soon lose control."
Dr Ashraf, a researcher at the respected Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) think tank, added that assessments of ISIS' military capabilities have been vastly overplayed.
He said: "They have built up this superhero status because of the way the Iraqi army just fell apart when they confronted it. But that was not very much to do with their ability to fight, it was to do with the Iraqi army, which just doesn't have a leadership that inspires. Once you've got a General running off you don't expect the soldiers to stand and fight.
"As a result, they have given the impression that they are far more capable than they are. If we had serious forces fighting in a coordinated battle against these people they wouldn't last very long at all."

Russian fighter jets have attacked 10 Islamic State targets in Syria in their latest airstrikes, destroying arms depots, training centers and infrastructure, Defense Ministry says. In the last 24 hours, Russian military aircraft have performed 20 sorties.

Armored Sukhoi Su-25 ground-support fighter jets have attacked a jihadist training center in Idlib province, also destroying a workshop producing suicide belts, according to the newly-released Defense Ministry report.
Three depots with munitions, arms and material assets have been eliminated with pinpoint strikes. As a result of direct hits from KAB-500 air bombs, installations and munitions have been taken out.
Sukhoi Su-24M and Su-34 bombers inflicted airstrikes on eight terrorist installations near Jisr al-Shughur in Idlib province, the ministry said.
Four command centers of Islamic State have been attacked with BETAB-500 bunker-busting air bombs, the ministry says. All four installations have been completely destroyed.
Su-25 jets struck a jihadist training camp in Kelajak, Idlib.
Sukhoi Su-24 bombers and Su-25 ground-support fighters have performed three consecutive airstrikes on terrorist installations near Maaret En Nuuman. All targets have been eliminated.
In the vicinity of Al-Tabqa in Raqqa Province, Su-34 bombers attacked an Islamic State training camp and an arms depot on its territory with KAB-500 bombs. The airstrike resulted in multiple explosions of munitions completely destroying the target.

According to the estimates of Russia’s General Staff of Armed Forces, the airstrikes inflicted on Islamic State installations in Syria have disrupted the command system, inventory and logistics of the terrorist organization. The infrastructure used to stage terror attacks in Syria and Iraq has also been severely damaged.
The ministry has also released several videos, which it says show Russian Air Force strikes on terrorist facilities:

I'm not a Putin fan because I think he is Gog...but you gotta love the fact he does in one week with ISIS what "O" can't do in two years.

By the way Scott, this is my first stop of the day and last stop every night on the internet each day. I appreciate all the hard work of compiling prophetic worthy news. It is so very well done and so very much appreciated!

Not Your Own

The Lord hath need of him. – Mark 11:3

There seems to have been no formal request of the owner for the use of the colt.
Jesus sent His disciples to take it by Divine authority. So then the Lord has a right
to anything we have. No property right that we can get takes the title out of His hands.
We talk about our possessions as if they were ours indeed. Nothing is really ours save
as lent to us by the Lord to be used for Him.

There are practical inferences here which we must not overlook. Christ has a right to
call for anything we have whenever He wants to use it. He has a right to ask for money,
for it is His far more than ours. When our property is swept away by some providential act,
we should not murmur, but should remember that the Lord has a right to do as He will with
His own. The same principle applies to the loss of friends by death. The Lord has a right to
take them, for He only lends them to us; and when He wants them with Himself He has a
right to call them home.

Another thought here is that Christ may sometimes have special use for even the humblest
of our possessions. The Lord had need of the good Samaritan’s beast to carry the wounded
man to the inn. He had need of the lad’s five loaves to feed the multitude. A lady was trying
to teach her child that she ought to give everything to Christ to be used in any way He might
choose. “Why, mamma,” she replied, “Jesus can never use my doll.” Yet in an hour the child
was letting a poor child that came to the door play with her doll. Was not the Lord using it then?
The Lord may need our horses to carry burdens for others, or to carry those who cannot walk.
He often has need of our money, our hands, our feet, our lips, our influence; and we do well
when we hold all our possessions ready at any call of His to be used as He desires.

This strong cities network looks like the seeds of a global police force??? There is so much happening, and so many changes taking place that many of these "things" are occurring without most of the world realizing the significance. It will be so easy to assume control once the first domino falls...this is amazing & absolutely crazy at the same time. Surely we don't have much longer to wait??? Thanks for keeping us in the know Scott....would have probably missed that.
