Fatah Declares War On Israel, John Kerry 'The Betrayal' As Leaked Document Confirms Ceasefire Bid Generous To Hamas

Fatah Declares War On Israel

The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade of Judea and Samaria, the military wing of Fatah (PLO), headed by Mahmoud Abbas, who also serves as the "President of Palestine" and head of
the PLO, has declared "open war" against the "Zionist enemy."

In a recorded message from July 23, three armed terrorists from the al-Aqsa brigade announced that they would not sit idly by during the Israeli operation in the Gaza Strip, and that they intend to bring the struggle deep into Israeli territory.

"The language of blood is the only way to answer Zionist aggression", they said, stating that international law permits them to conduct an armed struggle throughout all "Palestinian territories".

"It is open Intifada," stated a spokesman for al-Aqsa Brigade leadership. Orders were given to all units operating within Judea and Samaria to act against the "Zionist enemy", with all options on the table.

Leaked Document Confirms U.S. Ceasefire Bid Generous To Hamas

A “confidential draft” of the American ceasefire proposal leaked to the press appears to confirm what The Times of Israel reported Friday — that Washington was willing to generously accede to many of Hamas’s demands, while all but ignoring Israel’s security requirements.

The published text of the proposal, obtained by Haaretz, also shows that Qatar and Turkey – Hamas’s main sponsors in the region — were given prominent roles in the mediation, while the Palestinian Authority and Egypt were entirely marginalized.

The Israeli cabinet rejected the proposal unanimously on Friday night, several hours after it was submitted, and the leaked document makes plain why. According to the text, “the Palestinian factions” and the State of Israel would make three commitments:

a) Establish a humanitarian cease-fire, ending all hostilities in and from the Gaza Strip, beginning in 48 hours, and lasting for a period of seven days
b) Build on the Cairo cease-fire understandings of November 2012 [that were reached, through American and Egyptian mediation, following Operation Pillar of Defense]
c) Convene in Cairo, at the invitation of Egypt, within 48 hours to negotiate resolution of all issues necessary to achieve a sustainable cease-fire and enduring solution to the crisis in Gaza, including arrangements to secure the opening of crossings, allow the entry of goods and people and ensure the social and economic livelihood of the Palestinian people living in Gaza, transfer funds to Gaza for the payment of salaries for public employees, and address all security issues.

The third part — “c” above — of the proposed ceasefire agreement, which was submitted by US Secretary of State John Kerry, was a particular source of vexation for Israeli leaders, as it basically accepts all of Hamas’s demands but addresses Israeli worries only tangentially. Rather than calling for demilitarization of Gaza or addressing the attack tunnels the group has dug, the proposal merely calls for a general discussion of “all security issues.”

The document also mentions that “members of the international community, including the United Nations, the Arab League, the European Union, the United States, Turkey, Qatar and many others, support the effective implementation of the humanitarian cease-fire and agreements reached between the parties, in cooperation and coordination with the parties, and will join in a major humanitarian assistance initiative to address the immediate needs of the people of Gaza.”
That segment effectively sidelines Jerusalem, Ramallah and Cairo, which are not mentioned at all. Especially noteworthy is the omission of Egypt, which borders on Gaza and has in the past mediated between Israel and Hamas. Instead, it appears, Kerry has designated Turkey and Qatar to take over this role in the current conflict. Doha and Ankara are Hamas’s staunchest allies in the region, which underlines why Jerusalem rejected the proposal outright.
Israeli sources slammed Kerry over the weekend for “capitulating” to Hamas’s ceasefire demands, and also for continuing his ceasefire consultations in Paris on Saturday with representatives of Qatar and Turkey, but not Israel, the PA or Egypt.

Israeli government sources on Saturday night accused Kerry of “completely capitulating” to the demands of Hamas and its champion Qatar in drafting the Gaza war ceasefire proposal that Israeli ministers unanimously rejected on Friday.

The unnamed sources, quoted by Israel’s Channel 2 TV, said Kerry “dug a tunnel under the Egyptian ceasefire proposal” — which Israel accepted and Hamas rejected last week — and presented the Israeli government with a text that accepted “most of the demands” raised by Hamas, the Islamist terror group that rules the Strip.
On Sunday, Palestinian sources told the Saudi-owned daily A-Sharq Al-Awsat that the Palestinian Authority was furious with US Secretary of State John Kerry for not consulting with it about his ceasefire initiative.

Terror Attack Thwarted South Of Jerusalem

A terror attack was thwarted Sunday morning south of Jerusalem, when border policemen stopped a car packed with explosives at a checkpoint adjacent to Beitar Illit.
Police officers attempted to stop the Citroen, but when the driver barreled through to breach the checkpoint, one of the policemen reached through the window in an attempt to turn off the car.

The driver, a Palestinian male, continued to drive until the border policeman aimed his gun at him.

In the car, security forces found several explosive devices attached to gas balloons.

Sappers were at the scene, according to Israel Police, and the suspect is in custody.

John Kerry: The Betrayal

When The Times of Israel’s Avi Issacharoff first reported the content of John Kerry’s ceasefire proposal on Friday afternoon, I wondered if something had gotten lost in translation. It seemed inconceivable that the American secretary of state would have drafted an initiative that, as a priority, did not require the dismantling of Hamas’s rocket arsenal and network of tunnels dug under the Israeli border. Yet the reported text did not address these issues at all, nor call for the demilitarization of Gaza.

It seemed inconceivable that the secretary’s initiative would specify the need to address Hamas’s demands for a lifting of the siege of Gaza, as though Hamas were a legitimate injured party acting in the interests of the people of Gaza — rather than the terror group that violently seized control of the Strip in 2007, diverted Gaza’s resources to its war effort against Israel, and could be relied upon to exploit any lifting of the “siege” in order to import yet more devastating weaponry with which to kill Israelis.

Israel and the US are meant to be allies; the US is meant to be committed to the protection of Israel in this most ruthless of neighborhoods; together, the US and Israel are meant to be trying to marginalize the murderous Islamic extremism that threatens the free world. Yet here was the top US diplomat appearing to accommodate a vicious terrorist organization bent on Israel’s destruction, with a formula that would leave Hamas better equipped to achieve that goal.

The appalled response to the Kerry proposal by the members of the security cabinet on Friday night, however, made plain nothing had gotten lost in translation at all. The secretary’s proposal managed to unite Israel’s disparate group of key political leaders — from Naftali Bennett and Avigdor Liberman on the right, through Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to Yair Lapid and Tzipi Livni on the center-left — in a unanimous response of horrified rejection and leaked castigation.

The Netanyahu government has had no shortage of run-ins with Kerry in the mere 18 months he has held office. The prime minister publicly pleaded with him in November not to sign the interim deal with Iran on its rogue nuclear program, and there has been constant friction between the two governments over thwarting Iran’s bid for the bomb. Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon in January ridiculed Kerry’s security proposals for a West Bank withdrawal, calling the secretary “messianic” and obsessive” in his quest for an accord with the Palestinians that simply wasn’t there. The collapse of the talks in March-April was accompanied by allegations from Jerusalem that Kerry had botched the process, telling Israel one thing and the Palestinian Authority another, including misrepresenting Israel’s position on Palestinian prisoner releases.
But none of those episodes, though deeply troubling and relating to issues central to Israel’s well-being, provoked the kind of outraged disbelief at Kerry’s performance that has been emanating from the Israeli leadership in the past 48 hours. Leaked comments from unnamed senior government sources to Army Radio, Channel 2 and other Hebrew outlets have described the secretary as amateurish, incompetent, incapable of understanding the material he is dealing with — in short, a blithering fool.

And Kerry didn’t let up after unleashing his dreadful proposal. Following Friday’s fiasco, he jetted off to Paris and, quite extraordinarily, convened further consultations dominated by countries that overtly wish to do Israel harm. He met with his counterparts from Turkey, whose Hamas-backing leadership has lately accused Israel of attempting genocide in Gaza and compared Netanyahu to Hitler, and with Qatar, Hamas’s funder in chief, directly accused by president Shimon Peres last week of financing Hamas’s rockets and tunnels. Staggeringly, he did not bring Israel, Egypt, or the PA to his Paris sessions.

Kerry Told Hamas Many Of Its Demands Would Be Met Under Ceasefire Deal

US Secretary of State John Kerry informed Hamas via Qatar last week that under his proposal for a ceasefire with Israel, based on the original Egyptian initiative, the US would guarantee the fulfillment of many of Hamas’s demands for an end to the war, Palestinian sources told The Times of Israel on Saturday.

Kerry’s handling of the ceasefire effort was castigated by Israeli sourceson Friday and Saturday, and the Israeli security cabinet unanimously rejected his ceasefire proposal on Friday night.

Hamas And North Korea In Secret Arms Deal

Hamas militants are attempting to negotiate a new arms deal with North Korea for missiles and communications equipment that will allow them to maintain their offensive against Israel, according to Western security sources.
Security officials say the deal between Hamas and North Korea is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and is being handled by a Lebanese-based trading company with close ties to the militant Palestinian organisation based in east Beirut.
Hamas officials are believed to have already made an initial cash down payment to secure the deal, and are now hoping that North Korea will soon begin shipping extra supplies of weapons to Gaza.
“Hamas is looking for ways to replenish its stocks of missiles because of the large numbers it has fired at Israel in recent weeks,” explained a security official. “North Korea is an obvious place to seek supplies because Pyongyang already has close ties with a number of militant Islamist groups in the Middle East.”

Like other Islamist terror groups in the region such as Hizbollah, Hamas has forged close links with North Korea, which is keen to support groups that are opposed to Western interests in the region.

Ebola Center In Sierra Leona Under Guard After Protest March

Police were guarding an Ebola treatment center in Sierra Leone on Saturday, the day after thousands marched on the clinic following allegations by a former nurse the deadly virus was invented to conceal "cannibalistic rituals" there, a regional police chief said.

Across Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, at least 660 people have died from the illness, according to the World Health Organisation, placing great strain on the health systems of some of Africa's poorest countries.
The virus is still spreading. A Liberian man who died in Nigeria's commercial capital, Lagos, tested positive for the virus on Friday, Nigeria's health minister said.

Sierra Leone now has the highest number of cases, at 454, surpassing neighboring Guinea where the outbreak originated in February.

Sierra Leone officials appealed for help on Friday to trace the first known resident in the capital with Ebola whose family forcibly removed her from a Freetown hospital after she tested positive for the deadly disease. [ID:L6N0Q03FK]
Amadu Sisi, senior doctor at King Harman hospital, from which the patient was removed, said on Saturday she had been turned in after seeking refuge in the house of a traditional healer. She died in the ambulance on the way to another hospital, he added later.
Health workers are now setting up a new Ebola treatment center in Lakka village, about 20 km (12 miles) south of Freetown, to prepare for future cases near the capital.

Well hot dang... all these rapid developments with Hamas & Israel is like watching the movie from a front row seat! Only in this case, we know how it's gonna end. Exciting days ahead, folks!

It seems like the longer this goes on, the more the parties involved are showing their true colors and where their loyalties lie, and that includes the Obama Administration, The Bible is such an amazing book to predict all of this; and we serve such an amazing God who gives us a tiny glimpse into the future so that His followers will be able to know what's coming without having to live in fear.

Its funny Dutch, i was literally just having that same conversation when i saw your comment. If you take a step back and look at the world it is so obvious that everything is highly orchestrated. Even things that would be otherwise seemingly unrelated. But everything is moving in the same direction- towards the tribulation.

And I hope we are all ready for our one way trip home!

Scott, as usual thank you for posting all this information.

Scott, I do have a question...Turkey is appearing again in the picture. Where do they fit in?...I have heard several accounts, some that speculate that the AC could come from Turkey as it was part of the Roman Empire.
Thanks
Sandra

Turkey is part of the Gog-Magog coalition described in Ezekiel 38...

The AC will come from the ( roman empire as shown in Daniel 9:27. It has never been more specific than that. More specifically, he will come out of the 10 Kings, once that is formed (whatever it ends up being)....To attempt greater specificity than that, as some do IMO, is incorrect.

Its really not for us to know IMO. The only way to know definitively (w/o speculation) is to be here when he 'confirms the covenant' - and we know that we won't be here for that. So anything we do is complete speculation (I realize you know this, and I too share in the watching of who may turn out to be the AC (how could we not? - its a fascinating topic)...

As far as Turkey = I doubt it as they aren't part of the roman empire today (as it stands today anyway) - but who knows. Perhaps if the EU continues to expand and Turkey gets folded in some day, but seems less and less likely now

Thanks Scott, only being curious and agree we will not know the ac as he will be revealed when we are removed. As you have stated in the following post it is sometimes depressing watch. But it is a time of inward reflection to make sure we are presented without spot or wrinkle...this is hard work each day to live a life of purity of thought and actions but this is our duty in the last days... to live each day as we might be called home.

Thanks again,
Sandra
