The Hope Of The World

The more you are immersed in the news these days the darker and more depressing things become. It is one of the unavoidable consequences of following prophecy, particularly as we approach the Tribulation. Evil will reign on earth, unabated for that seven year period and we are seeing that world shaping up now as we watch.

Personally, I have found that by stepping away from the news occasionally and focusing solely on Jesus and the hope that He brings changes this outlook completely.

Consider this. We will be in the very presence of Jesus quite soon. And that is really all that matters.

Ponder these lyrics (taken from "Hope of the World" - by Hillsong, who, by the way is coming to the U.S. in November. Of course this prophecy watcher will be attending as it represents the most incredible worship experience on this side of Heaven):

HOPE OF THE WORLD:

For the love poured out
For the price of freedom
Let the whole earth sing
The praises rising
We stand in awe of what you've done
For us, at the cross

[Chorus]:
The hope of the world
Lifted on high
Calling us home with arms out wide
To know you forever, to love you forever
You are our everything
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsty.com/hillsong-hope-of-the-world-lyrics.html ]
[Verse 2]:
Our sin erased,
We're forgiven
You made a way
You are our ransom
And we owe this life for all you've done
For us, at the cross

[Chorus]:
The hope of the world
Lifted on high
Calling us home with arms out wide
To know you forever, to love you forever
You are our everything

[Bridge]:
All we need is You

[Chorus]:
The hope of the world
Lifted on high
Calling us home with arms out wide
To know you forever, to love you forever
You are our everything

And watch here - for just a little Sunday morning worship:
